An advancement and wide use of portable multimedia devices make it easy to spread digital sound source, enabling users to use portable multimedia devices and search and enjoy digital sound sources and related contents. In opposition the off-line musical service market with CD stagnates gradually and in the crisis where the off-line musical service market vanishes away. In this paper, we propose the mobile music album information retrieval system which combines the barcode and a cellular phone musical service. To get digital sound sources and related information from music albums, the proposed retrieval system uses one-dimensional barcodes attached to music albums and obtains information on related albums from the sound source servers. Also, to reflect user preferences in search results, the system uses search frequency by music album, and searches albums in music genres selected by users in the order of the recent preference. The proposed mobile music album retrieval system is implemented on the basis of WIPI, and is now providing pilot services.

A SCM Implementation case on the Office Automation Industry is introduced in this paper. It supports JIT based Kanban and demand pull system A new system called "PrdnMgr" is designed for the synchronized production and quality assurence using barcode and Kanban. And web based supplier pull system called "Antennashop" is developed for automatic procurement of parts.

Barcode system has been used for many years in labors controlling & ready mixed concrete supplement in A/E/C industry However, it was not quite successful because ot its limitations in the field. The use of RFID system is getting important in the real world. RFID system substituted for barcode system in labor controling & ready mixed concrete supplement and it showed its potentialities in other major materials supply logistics and its possibilities In progress management of 4D system. This research shows RFID system's case study and its future directions in A/E/C industry.

Echinochloa colona is one of the most problematic weeds in the paddy fields of the world. In recent years, this species is likely to be introduced in Korea due to global warming, the expansion of international trade including agricultural products, and increasing tourists. We tried to identify the species from Korean Echinochloa crus-galli and E. oryzicola in order to establish the control measures in case of the initial influx. For this study, Echinochloa colona collected from the National Plant Germplasm System, USA were examined and E. crus-galli and E. oryzicola were collected in Korea. It is, however, very difficult to identify for Echinochloa species using morphological characters because of numerous interspecific and intraspecific types found in nature. Thus, we barcoded the species using rbcL, matK, and ITS. All three markers identified E. colona very well from the others. ITS alone may be enough as a DNA barcode for E. colona identification, when considering cost and effectiveness. The barcode sequences were deposited to the National Center for Biotechnology Information database for public use.

Recently industrial launderers face challenges in order to remain efficient and competitive. This paper describes the wireless laundry assorting system to prevent the economic loss caused by sorting the laundries incorrectly. Proposed system consists of wireless modules, barcode reader, and PC with base module. The wireless modules communicate with base module, and display the customer's information and amount of total and/or current sorting laundries. Proposed system works with leading services to further improve the efficiency of laundry processes.

Having been speed development of information delivery using the mobile phone, it is generalization. The Mobile has one of the importance for their information searcher as tool. It is widely recognized that tourism information can be defined as useful and reliable reference which significantly influence the traveler' decision-making. This paper presents pioneer and ongoing study of the method for the pinpionting mobile tourism information system with RTLS, 2D Barcode and mobile phone itself. As rapid development of computing environment, field of automatic identification research which interoperates with various physical objects and digital information is making active progress. Although the automatic identification system is widely used in various industries, application of automatic identification system in the field of medical health doesn't reach other industry. Therefore research in medical health supplies such as medical equipment, blood, human tissues and etc is on progress. This paper suggests the application of automatic identification technology for biological resources which is core research material in human genome research. First of all, user environment requirements for the introduction of automatic identification technology are defined and through the experiments and research, barcode is selected as a suitable tag interface. Data Matrix which is 2D barcode symbology is chosen and data schema is designed based on UCC/EAN-128 for international defecto standard. To showapplicability of proposed method when applied to actual environment, we developed, tested and evaluated application as following methods. Experiments of barcode read time at 196 and 75 below zero which is actual temperature where biological resources are preserved resulted read speed of average of 1.6 second and the data schema satisfies requirements for the biological resources application. Therefore suggested method can provide data reliability as well as rapid input of data in biological resources information processing.

본 논문은 세계적인 범용성을 갖고 널리 활용되고 있는 바코드의 유용성 및 편리함을 가장 개인적인 휴대 장비인 휴대폰에 결합하기 위한 매체로의 구현에 관한 내용이다. 바코드 스캐너의 구성에서부터 스캐너 설계 그리고 휴대폰을 이용한 Lock 시스템 설계와 시제품 소개로 구성되어 있다. 본 연구를 보안 시스템에 적용 시 물리적 key 개념이 없어지고 휴대폰이 보안의 중심이 될 수 있을 것으로 기대되며 양방향 서비스가 가능해짐으로써 결제 시장에서 활용이 확대될 것으로 예상된다. 향후 연구과제로는 다양한 응용분야에서의 적용 및 고감도 장치 개발을 들 수 있다.

Comparison of prices and specifications is a very important informations for the decision of buying selected goods. It is hard to get informations of comparison of prices and specifications at the spot on off-line shopping. In this paper, we propose a system that provides optimized information of goods by PDA mobile phones and other mobile devices. The proposed system consists of a server that include a search robot and clients that can read barcode. When a client send the barcode information scanned by a camera attached his/her mobile device, the server sends the information of the goods to the client.

The usability of QRcode as a replacement of the Barcode has been increasing. As the QRcode can be saved much information than Barcode, the QRcode has various application areas. In these days we can see the quadrangular box in everywhere. In this paper we introduce an example of application areas of the QRcode, which the system save the mileage information on the Android smartphone. Our proposed system help the small markets or traditional markets which don't have enough fund to construct mileage system.
