  • Component-based method for load model not only should include the performances of the load components, but also should take into consideration the core losses of transformers, the line losses and the capacitor banks. Especially, capacitor bank affects the accuracy of reactive load model in load modeling. But it is difficult to identify actual reactive powers of capacitor banks in power system for load modeling. This research improves the component-based modeling method including uncertain capacitor bank. The proposed method is hybrid technique, which adds the measurement-based method to the existing component-based method for reliable information of capacitor band. The results of case studies were presented to verify the validity of the proposed method.

  • In this study, we investigated the modeling and design of an Intelligent Agent System (IAS). To achieve this goal, we introduced several kinds of agents that exhibit intelligent features. These are the main agent, management agent, watcher agent, report agent and application agent. We applied the intelligent agent concept to two different application fields, i.e. the intelligent agent system for pattern classification and the intelligent agent system for bank asset management modeling.

  • In this paper, we investigated the modeling of Bank Asset Management System(BAME) based on intelligent agent. To achieve this goal, we introduced several kinds of agents that show intelligent features. BAMS is a user friendly system and adopts fuzzy converting system and fuzzy matching system that returns reasonable similarity matching results. Generation function of the proximity degree is suggested. Fuzzification of investment type categories and feature values are defined, and generation of proximity degree is also derived. An example of bank asset management system is introduced and simulated. Investment type matching utilizing fuzzy measure is tested and it showed quite reasonable similarity matching results.

  • This article introduces a methodology of designing a wavelet operator suitable for multiscale modeling. The operator matrix transforms states of a multivariable system onto projection space. In addition, it imposes a specific structure on the system matrix in a multiscale environment. To be specific, the article deals with a diagonalizing transform that is useful for decoupled control of a system. It establishes that there exists a definite relationship between the model in the measurement space and that in the projection space. Methodology for deriving the multirate perfect reconstruction filter bank, associated with the wavelet operator, is presented. The efficacy of the proposed technique is demonstrated by modeling the point kinetics nuclear reactor. The outcome of the multiscale modeling approach is compared with that in the single-scale approach to bring out the advantage of the proposed method.

  • In this paper, we present a new approach to autopilot design for skid-to-turn missiles which may have severe aerodynamic cross-couplings and nonlinearities with angle of attack. The model of missile motion is derived in the maneuver plane and, based on that model, pitch, yaw, and roll autopilot are designed. They are composed of a nonlinear term which compensates for the aerodynamic couplings and nonlinearities and a linear controller driven by the measured outputs of missile accelerations and angular rates. Besides the outputs, further information such as Mach number, dynamic pressure, total angle of attack, and bank angle is required. With the proposed autopilot and simple estimators of bank angle and total angle of attack, it is shown by computer simulations that the induced moments and some aerodynamic nonlinearities are properly compensated and that the performance is superior to that of the conventional ones.

  • Purpose Domestic asset management fintech companies are expected to grow by leaps and bounds along with the implementation of the "Data bills." Contrary to the market fever, however, academic research is insufficient. Therefore, we want to analyze user reviews of asset management fintech companies that are expected to grow significantly in the future to derive strengths and complementary points of services that have been provided, and analyze key elements of asset management fintech companies. Design/methodology/approach To analyze large amounts of review text data, this study applied text mining techniques. Bank Salad and Toss, domestic asset management application services, were selected for the study. To get the data, app reviews were crawled in the online app store and preprocessed using natural language processing techniques. Topic Modeling and Aspect-Sentiment Analysis were used as analysis methods. Findings According to the analysis results, this study was able to derive the elements that asset management fintech companies should have. As a result of Topic Modeling, 7 topics were derived from Bank Salad and Toss respectively. As a result, topics related to function and usage and topics on stability and marketing were extracted. Sentiment Analysis showed that users responded positively to function-related topics, but negatively to usage-related topics and stability topics. Through this, we were able to extract the key elements needed for asset management fintech companies.

  • The purpose of this paper is to highlight the impact of the performance of private wealth management (PWM) on the growth of retail banking in Indonesia. The variables used are bank's competitiveness, risk management, performance of private wealth management, and growth of retail banking business. The data were collected from 60 respondents from 32 banks over five months, from October 2018 to March 2019. Using partial least square path modeling, the analysis shows that the performance of private wealth management has an impact on the growth of retail banking sector in Indonesia. Bank competitiveness and risk management affect the performance of personal wealth management and have an impact on the growth of the retail banking business. Bank competitiveness is the variable that most influences the performance of private wealth management in Indonesia. This research found that market share is the most significant indicator of bank competitiveness. For risk management, significant indicators are the level of bank confidence, increased bank competitiveness, and the creation of new products. In the performance of the private wealth management variable, the most significant indicator is the revenue fee-based income. For the growth of retail banking business, a clear indicator is profit growth.

  • This research focused on development and application feasibility for the coalesced continuous block system in river bank protection. Most of block systems in river bank are pre cast type and have some difficulties against high velocity flood condition or high pressure load, however, the continuous block system can be applied to flood damage recover as well as environmental vegetation block system in river bank. For the application review and analysis of hydraulic condition for this block system, hydraulic physical modeling was carried out. The physical model was built as a scale of 1:50 by Froude similitude measuring the water levels and the water velocities for vegetation application or not. In consequence, the water velocities were observed to decrease meanly 10.1%, and the water depths were to increase meanly 17.8% in case of the of design flood, $Q=200m^3/sec$. To verify the hydraulic physical modeling, the numerical modeling should be conducted for a close examination of vegetation application by one or two dimensional numerical analysis as a next study.

  • This research aims to analyze transglobal leadership which has an impact on bank sustainability with militancy and organizational culture variables as mediating variables. In addition, to evaluate militancy, cultural organizations exist to encourage bank sustainability. This is an explanatory research conducted using a quantitative approach in the form of a survey. The population of this study includes all Heads of Regional Offices and Head of Branch Offices of PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia is spread across Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Bali and Jayapura. This study uses a research instrument in the form of a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability and secondary data. Quantitative data analysis was performed in the form of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis based on Partial Least Square (PLS) to answer the research hypothesis. The results show a significant and positive relationship between transglobal and militancy leadership, transglobal leadership with innovation culture, militancy with innovation culture, militancy with bank sustainability and innovation culture with bank sustainability. The novelty of this research lies in the use of militancy and innovation culture as intervening variables in the correlation between transglobal leadership and bank sustainability. The militancy variable is the new variable to be checked.

  • This research focused on analyzing and comparing between the results of hydraulic physical modeling and the results of numerical modeling of continuous block system in river bank protection which is newly developed in-situ block system. To verify the hydraulic physical modeling and review the effectiveness, the numerical modeling was needed against the model test results for vegetation application or not. HEC-RAS model was for 1 dimensional numerical analysis and SMS was for 2 dimensional numerical analysis. The results of the two dimensional numerical simulation, under the condition of roughness coefficient calibration, show similar and rational consequence against the physical modeling. These satisfactory results show that the accomplished results of hydraulic modeling and the predicted results of numerical modeling corresponded reasonably each others.
