An Optimal Damping Control Algorithm of Direct Two-level Inverter for Miniaturization and Weight Reduction of Auxiliary Power Supply on Railway Vehicle

  • This paper proposes an optimal damping control algorithm of the DTI (Direct Two-level Inverter) to miniaturize and reduce the weight of auxiliary power supply for railway vehicles. The conventional auxiliary power supply for railway vehicles uses a DC-DC converter to maintain the inverter input power from the line voltage smoothly. The proposed topology does not use a DC-DC converter for reducing of manufacturing and maintenance costs. It also proposes a DTI topology removed damping resistors that generate ground signal noise in a certain period. At this time, a resonance phenomenon of DC-link voltage occurs due to variation of the inductive load, and a method of controlling the resonance phenomenon of DC-link voltage is required. In order to suppress the resonance phenomenon of the DC-link voltage, at a point before resonance occurs, this paper introduces an algorithm to suppress the resonance phenomenon of DC-link voltage by compensating the resonance component of the q axis voltage of the synchronous reference frame. The proposed algorithm verifies the effect through simulation and experiment.

  • 본 논문에서는 정수선형계획법을 반도체 설계자동화과정에 이용한 예를 보인다. 반도체 설계자동화과정은 매우 여러 단계를 거치게 되는데, 본 논문에서는 상위수준 합성중 스케쥴링(scheduling)문제에 정수선형계획법을 응용하였다. 여기서 스케쥴링 문제는 설계자동화의 초기단계에서 알고리듬으로 주어진 입력을 하드웨어 요소들로 표현하는 과정에서 매 제어단계(control step)에서 수행하여야 할 연산내용을 결정하는 문제이다. 스케쥴링의 목적함수는 주어진 제어단계 갯수내에서 하드웨어 비용의 최소화이다. 이를 위해 우선 ASAP(As Soon As Possible)과 ALAP(As Late As Possible)방법을 이용하여 매 연산의 수행시작이 가능한 가장 빠른 시간과 가장 늦은 시간을 구한다. 이 두 시간 사이가 각 연산의 time frame이 되며 이를 이용하여 스케쥴링 문제를 정수 선형 계획법으로 공식화하여 풀었다. 이 공식화는 chaining, multicycle연산, pipeline data path, pipeline기능 유닛등에도 일반화하여 적용가능함을 보인다. 실험을 통해 본 공식화 방법이 기존 알고리듬에 의한 해보다 우수한 해를 제공함을 보인다. 비교를 위해 잘 알려진 benchmark회로인 bandpass filter를 이용하였는데 이 회로는 8개의 덧셈, 7개의 뺄셈 및 12개의 곱셈연산을 포함하고 있다. 제시된 알고리듬은 이 회로를 8개의 제어단계내에 총비용 675 (연산별 하드웨어 비용은 라이브러리로 주어짐)로 스케쥴링하였는데 이는 기존의 최상의 결과인 685보다 우수한 결과이다.

  • 본 논문은 주행중인 자동차 환경에서 운전자의 안전성 및 편의성의 동시 확보를 위하여, 보조적인 스위치 조작없이 상시 음성의 입, 출력이 가능하도록 한다. 이때 잡음에 강인한 threshold 값을 구하기 위하여, 일정한 시간마다 기준 에너지와 영교차율(Zero Crossing Rate)을 변경하며, 밴드패스 필터(bandpass filter)를 이용하여 1차, 2차로 나누어 실시간 상태에서 자동으로, 정확하게 끝점검출(End Point Detection)을 처리한다. 기준패턴(reference pattern)은 DMS(Dynamic Multi-Section)을 사용하며, 화자의 변별력을 높이기 위하여 2개의 모델사용을 제안한다. 또한 주행중인 차량의 잡음환경에 강인하기 위하여 일반주행(80km/h 이내), 고속주행(80km/h 이상)등으로 나누며 차량의 가변잡음 크기에 따라 자동으로 선택하도록 한다. 음성의 특징 벡터와 인식 알고리즘은 PLP 13차와 One-Stage Dynamic Programming (OSDP)를 이용한다. 실험결과, 자주 사용되는 차량 편의장치 제어명령 33개에 대하여 중부, 영동 고속도로(시속 80Km/h 이상)에서 화자독립 89.75%, 화자종속 90.08%의 인식율을 구하였으며, 경부 고속도로에서는 화자독립 92.29%, 화자종속 92.42%의 인식율을 구하였다. 그리고 저속 주행중인 자동차 환경(80km/h 이내, 시멘트, 아스팔트 등의 서울시내 및 시외독립)에서는 화자독립 92.89%, 화자종속 94.44% 인식율을 구하였다.

Design of Miniaturized Multi-layer BPFs Using LTCC for Wireless LAN Applications (LTCC를 이용한 WLAN용 초소형 적층 대역통과 필터 설계)

  • In this paper, a miniaturized parallel coupled bandpass filter using multi-layered LTCC(Low Temperature Co-fired Ceramics) substrate for SOP(System-On-Package) is proposed for applications to wireless communication systems. The fabricated BPF is composed of five 106${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ thick LTCC layers and its size is 5.24mm x 4.3mm x 0.53 mm. The measured characteristics of the BPF show the center frequency of 5.8GHz, bandwidth of 200MHz, insertion loss of 2.326dB and return loss of 13.679dB. In addition, the attenuation is 28.052dB at 4.7GHz.

  • This paper reports on the development of a 60㎓ wide bandwidth wireless transceiver using NRD waveguide. We fabricated a wireless transceiver using NRD waveguide, which consists of a 3 dB directional coupler, a bandpass filter, a Gunn oscillator, an ASK modulator, and a Balanced Mixer. The new transceiver is capable of transmitting an output power of 10mW to a distance of more than 1 Km, operating in 60㎓ frequency and bandwidth of 2㎓. The value of BER reached approximately 10 when the transceiver was tested at the 155.52Mbps ATM(OC 3) at the communication distance of 1 km. It demonstrated an impressively stable transmission feature of BER l0$^{6}$ even in the heavy rainfall.

  • In the thesis, For improving the Stability of VCHRO(Voltage Controlled Hair-pin Resonator Oscillator) the new structure using the parallel feedback of the second harmonic is proposed for self-phase locking effect. This module is composed of wilkinson divider, frequency doubler, directional coupler, and bandpass filter using a hair-pin resonator, which are integrated into miniaturized hybrid circuit. The module exhibits output power of 2.5 dBm at 19.5 GHz, -29.83 dBc fundamental frequency suppression and -76.52 dBc/Hz phase noise at 10 kHz offset frequency from carrier of center frequency 19.5 GHz.

  • An actual inverter, generally, has frequency dependent property. In this paper, the property is considered as the dependencies of an inverter value (real value) it self and its immittance(imaginary part). And a method is given to obtain the equivalent circuit that has indeal inverter and immittance elements from actual inverters. Using this method, BPF's can be designed more exactly than standard design method without optimizing methods.

  • In order to acquire clear images capable of diagnosing cracked tooth by light transmission, the optical properties of LED light source were examined. Based on the results, the prototype which basically consisted of LED light source, bandpass filter and commercial compact camera module was designed and manufactured. The wavelength and optical power of the LED in the prototype were 850 nm and 7 mW/Sr, respectively. In evaluation of the prototype using microscope, the observation of the crack with width of above $17{\mu}m$ was possible. In addition, image analysis to obtain shape information on the observed tooth cracks was carried out.

  • In this paper, electrical lengths and impedances of a dual-mode resonator are calculated by using the transfer function of a dual-mode resonator by realizing the short-stub. The electrical length of transmission-line for a resonator is function of the frequency and the electrical length of stub is defined by the frequency and impedances of line and stub. Also, the inverter value of a bandpass filter using the dual-mode resonator is calculated. The effect of stub's impedance for inverter is very small. And, as the impedance of line is decreasing, the inverter value is increasing and as the bandwidth is increasing, the inverter value is increasing.

  • The turbine flowmeter is selected for high precision and reproducibility at the time of flow rate measurement but causes various uncertainty factors of measurement in the difference between the standard environmental condition at calibration and the environmental condition at the site. Also, a reliable interpolation method is required for use in sections other than calibrated measurement values. Therefore, in this paper, in order to improve the reliability of the flow rate measurement, we designed and manufactured a device that accurately measures the output signal of the turbine flowmeter, interpolates the value of the calibrated result value, and corrects the temperature change in real time We confirmed the reliability of the measurement at the site to carry out the performance verification.
