자동기립이 가능한 차륜형 역진자 시스템 개발 (A Wheeled Inverted Pendulum System with an Automatic Standing Arm)

  • 본 연구에서 자동화된 기립 및 복귀 시스템이 적용된 직립주행이 가능한 이동로봇용 구동 플랫폼이 개발되었다. 종래 대부분의 이동로봇은 정역학적으로 안정된 평면형의 4륜 혹은 3륜 구동형으로 구성되어 있는데, 이러한 형태의 이동로봇은 방향 전환을 위해서 독립구동형 혹은 조향형 차륜을 갖추고 있다. 이동로봇이 매우 협소한 지형에서 직각으로 굽은 통로를 주행할 때, 이동로봇은 전후진을 반복하는 등 복잡한 조향동작을 필요로 하거나, 극단적인 경우, 물리적인 조향이 불가능한 경우에 처하게 된다. 직립주행이 가능한 이동로봇은 점유면적이 작은 직립된 상태로 몸체의 형상을 변형시켜 해당 지형을 원활하게 통과할 수 있다. 본 연구에서 기립(복귀)동작, 확인동작, 평형제어 순으로 각 단계가 수동으로 조작되었던 기립제어 단계가 몸체의 기울기 각도 검출로 자동화되어, 단일 자동제어로 조작되는 차륜형 역진자 시스템이 제안되었다.

자동백색보정 기능에 사용되는 단색 영상 검출 구조의 간소화 및 성능 향상 (Simplification and Improvement of One Color Detector Structure for Automatic White Balancing)

  • 본 논문은 피사체의 고유의 색을 나타내기 위한 자동 백색 보정 기능에서 단색 영상에 대한 색상 왜곡현상을 보정하는 단색 영상 검출기의 구조개선 및 성능 향상을 수행한 구조를 제안한다. 제안한 구조는 뛰어난 효율성으로 인해 모바일 폰 카메라에 널리 사용되는 Grayworld 알고리듬을 통한 백색 보정 기능에 적용되는 단색 영상 검출기로써, 입력 영상의 색 분포 특성을 파악하여 단색 영상의 입력 시 해당 색상을 제외한 나머지 영역으로 자동 백색 보정기능을 수행하도록 하는 역할을 수행한다. 제안한 구조는 기존 구조에 비해 다양한 영상의 입력에 대응 가능하며, 영상의 크기 및 촬영 환경에 따라 임계값의 변경이 가능하도록 설계하였다. 또한 하드웨어 구조의 간소화를 통해 기존 대비 약 80%의 하드웨어 크기가 감소되었다.

시스템사고를 통한 사교육비경감정책 평가: 노무현 정부와 이명박 정부를 중심으로 (Evaluation of Policy for Reduction of Private Tutoring Expenditure based on Systems Thinking: Focusing on Roh and Lee Governments)

  • The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the policies for reducing private tutoring expenditure in Roh Mu Hyun and Lee Myeong Bak Government using Causal Loop analysis based on the Systems Thinking perspective. The results are as follows. First, high educational achievers receive more private tutoring than lowers and children who have rich parents have better chance to take private tutoring than the others. It reflects the social characteristics which emphasize the academic ability and educational background. Second, two governments implemented educational policies to control the private tutoring expenditure as balancing loops ; strengthening public education, providing after school programs and EBS KSAT teaching and improving the entrance exam of university. Third, they overlooked the unintended feedback loops coming from 1) incongruity between causes and countermeasures of shadow education 2) wrong perception of substitutional relationship between public education and shadow education 3) side effect of the policy increasing the weight of student record 4) problems of diversifying high schools 5) dilemma of easing the burden of testing through admission officer system. The conclusion is that policies of reducing the private education expenses have failed because two governments don't consider unintended Feedback Loops in the process of making education policies. So we have to make policies based on Systems Thinking and reducing private education expenses should not be the purpose of strengthening the public education.

Matrix Metalloproteinase-8 Inhibitor Ameliorates Inflammatory Responses and Behavioral Deficits in LRRK2 G2019S Parkinson's Disease Model Mice

  • Parkinson's disease (PD) is a neurodegenerative disorder that involves the loss of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra (SN). Matrix metalloproteinases-8 (MMP-8), neutrophil collagenase, is a functional player in the progressive pathology of various inflammatory disorders. In this study, we administered an MMP-8 inhibitor (MMP-8i) in Leucine-rich repeat kinase 2 (LRRK2) G2019S transgenic mice, to determine the effects of MMP-8i on PD pathology. We observed a significant increase of ionized calcium-binding adapter molecule 1 (Iba1)-positive activated microglia in the striatum of LRRK2 G2019S mice compared to normal control mice, indicating enhanced neuro-inflammatory responses. The increased number of Iba1-positive activated microglia in LRRK2 G2019S PD mice was down-regulated by systemic administration of MMP-8i. Interestingly, this LRRK2 G2019S PD mice showed significantly reduced size of cell body area of tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) positive neurons in SN region and MMP-8i significantly recovered cellular atrophy shown in PD model indicating distinct neuro-protective effects of MMP-8i. Furthermore, MMP-8i administration markedly improved behavioral abnormalities of motor balancing coordination in rota-rod test in LRRK2 G2019S mice. These data suggest that MMP-8i attenuates the pathological symptoms of PD through anti-inflammatory processes.

경두개직류전류자극이 무릎관절 전치환술 환자의 통증 및 균형 능력에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation on Pain and Balance of Total Knee Arthroplasty Patients)

  • Background: The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) on the pain and balance of patients who receive total knee arthroplasty (TKA). Methods: This study subjects were 24 patients in Hospital T, located in Daegu, South Korea who received TKA after being diagnosed with degenerative arthritis. The subjects were randomly divided into and experimental group and a control group, with each group including 12 patients. Both group received superfical thermal therapy, interferential current therapy (ICT), and continue passive motion (CPM), which are conventional knee therapy on the knee joint. The experimental group received the tDCS treatment three times a week for three weeks, from October 1st to October 20th. The visual analogue scale and Wii Balance Board system were used to measure the pain and balancing ability, respectively, of both groups. In the statistical result analysis, to compare about pre and post test difference in each groups was accomplished. Statistical analysis of independent t-test and paired t-test were conducted using SPSS version 23.0. Results: After three weeks of intervation, there were significantly difference in balance ability in pre and post test in the tDCS group. VAS decreased significantly in both groups(p<.05), There was a significantly difference in pain, balance ability in the tDCS group compared to the sham group. Conclusion: These results indicate that applying tDCS together with conventional knee joint therapy for TKA patients is effective in promoting the patients' recovery.

국내유역의 하천분류 및 하도진화모형 적용 (Classification of Streams and Application of Channel Evolution Model in Korea)

  • 본 연구에서는 금강유역의 제1지류인 지천과 섬진강유역의 제1지류인 요천에 대해서 하천분류를 실시하고 하도진화모형의 적용성을 검토하였다. Rosgen과 한국건설기술연구원에서 제안된 하천분류방법을 적용하여 하천분류를 수행하였고, Schumm 등 (1984)에 의해서 연구 제안된 하도진화모형 결과를 바탕으로 지천과 요천 연구구간의 하도진화단계를 비교 검토하였다. Rosgen 하천분류 적용결과에 따르면 지천과 요천의 경우, 전체적으로 자갈이 혼재하는 산지하천의 특성을 보이고 있다. 하도진화모형 적용결과 지천 및 요천의 현재 하천상태는 Schumm 등 (1984)에 의해서 제시된 하도진화과정에 따르면 유사공급과 유사이송능력 사이에 평형이 발생하여 동적 평형상태가 이루어지고 있다. 본 연구의 결과는 치수사업의 계획, 하천복원 사업, 바람직한 하도계획 등에 필요한 기초자료를 제공할 것으로 생각된다.

경제적인 조피볼락용 배합사료 설계 및 평가 (Evaluation of Economical Feed Formulations for Korean Rockfish (Sebastes schlegeli))

  • 여러 가지 종류의 단백질 원료를 혼합하여 성장이 좋고, 가격이 싼 조피볼락용 배합사료를 개발하기 위해 설계한 사료의 효과를 사육실험을 통해 조사하였다. 북양어분 간접식 $29\%$와 갈색 어분 $29\%$ 첨가구를 대조구로 정하고 원료의 필수아미노산 조성을 고려하여 대두박, 콘글루텐 밀, 육분, 혈분, 우모분, 소맥분을 각각 다른 비율로 첨가하여 어분 단백질원인 북양어분과 갈색어분을 $40\%$에서 $65\%$까지 대체한 사료 6종류와 RMP(생사료+분말사료)구를 선정하여 총 8종류의 실험사료를 제조하였다. 33 g 전후의 조피볼락을 실험사료마다 각각 3반복으로 15주간 사육 실험한 결과, 증체율은 사료 2, 3, 4구와 RMP 사료가 대조구와 유의차없이 좋은 결과를 보였다(P>0.05). 반면에 사료효율은 RMP구가 가장 높았고, 사료 7이 가장 낮았다. 어체 1 kg 증육시키는데 소요되는 사료원가는 RMP구가 1,332원으로 가장 높았고, 대조구가 539원으로 나타났으며, 그 외 사료들은 $452\~498$원으로 비슷하였다. 위와 같이 사료 $5\~7$을 제외한 사료들은 성장효과가 대조구와 유의차가 없어 30 g 이상의 어체에서는 식물성 및 동물성 원료를 적절히 혼합 첨가하면 사료중의 어분을 $55\%$까지 대체 가능하였으며, 양식 생산비를 절감할 수 있을 것으로 나타났다.

  • The human temporomandibular joint as a ginglymoarthrodial one has much in common with the other synovial joints of the body, but it does possess an unique charachteristic in that it must accomodate the various occlusal relations of dentition during an end point of closure. For that reason, the movement of the condyle in the temporomandibular joint is susceptible to influences from the nature of occlusion. Undue loading to the temporomandibular joint can be applied on the occasion of premature contacts in centric relation, balancing side interferences, change of occlusal surfaces due to excessive attrition, loss of tooth. Such occlusal disharmonies in association with the systemic and emotional factors may give rise to the temporomandibular disorder. On the other hand, the changes of occlusal patterns in the growing body can also have an effect on the growth of the temporomandibular joint through the alterations of functional stresses. The purpose of this study was to observe histopathologic response of the temporomandibular joint in unilateral chewing on one side exclusively for 10 months. Three dogs showing normal masticatory function were chosen. One dog aged about 12 months was for control, two dogs for experimental specimens were about 12 and 18 months old respectively. For chewing on the left side only, unilateral lower right premolar and molar were extracted in two experimental specimens. And then three dogs were sacrificed 10 months later. Frontal histologic sectioning of joints were done for the observation of the effects of one-side chewing. 24 specimens from three dogs were obtained and fixed in 10% formalin and routinly processed with H-E staining for histologic examination. The light microscopic findings were interpretated as follows: 1. Experimental specimen 1 aged about 22 months: In comparison with control and right non-chewing side, the proliferative and hypertrophic zone were increased at the mesial and lateral part of left chewing side condyle. There was no change of the articular tissue of temporal bone. 2. Experimental specimen 2 aged about 28 months: The articular tissues of adult joint were observed. The differences between the chewing and non-chewing side were not seen in the articular tissues of condyle and temporal bone.

Utilization of Sorghum Forage, Millet Forage, Veldt Grass and Buffel Grass by Tswana Sheep and Goats when Fed Lablab purpureus L. as Protein Supplement

  • Forty yearling Tswana sheep and goats (20 sheep and 20 goats) of both sexes were used in a feeding trial conducted in Botswana College of Agriculture (B.C.A) Content Farm in Gaborone for three months. The animals were randomized into four treatment groups of five animals per species balancing for weight and sex such that average initial weights were not statistically different. The sheep and goats were individually housed and fed under a common roof. All the animals were fed on Lablab purpureus L. as a protein supplement which was 40% of the ration. In addition to L.purpureus L. the control groups of both species were fed on 60% Cenchrus ciliaris L. as basal diet. The other three treatment groups were fed on different forages namely; sorghum forage (Sorghum sudanense (Piper) Stapf), millet forage (Pearl millet, Pennisetum typhoides (Burm.) Stapf and Hubb.) and veldt grass mainly Urochloa mosambicensis (Hack.) as basal diet (60%). Water was provided individually to all the animals on ad lib. basis. Daily intakes of feed and water were recorded and weighing of the animals was done every two weeks. The collected data were analysed statistically for differences. Average daily weight gain by Tswana sheep was significantly different (p<0.05), sheep fed on millet forage had a higher daily weight gain $(120.24{\pm}8.91g)$ compared with sheep fed on veldt grass $(92.86{\pm}6.94g)$. Treatment effects on daily total DM intake by sheep were significant, the control group (C. ciliaris L.) had higher intake $(705.77{\pm}10.22g)$ and those fed on sorghum forage had the least intake $(668.10{\pm}10.70g)$. There was no significant difference (p>0.05) in the average daily weight gain by Tswana goats and it was 84.52, 73.81, 83.33 and 78.57 g for goats fed on C. ciliaris L., sorghum forage, millet forage and veldt grass respectively. Average daily total DM intake by goats was 655.27, 652.64, 650.07 and 650.94 g for C. ciliaris L., sorghum forage, millet forage and veldt grass respectively. Feed conversion efficiency was 8.00, 8.98, 7.93 and 8.34 for goats fed on C. ciliaris L., sorghum forage, millet forage and veldt grass respectively and were not significantly different (p>0.05).

PNF의 Sprinter Pattern을 통한 하지의 근 활성도가 균형능력에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Lower Limb Muscle Activity on Balancing through Sprinter Patterns of PNF)

  • 본 연구는 PNF 중 스프린터 패턴 적용 시 하지의 근 활성도가 균형 능력에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 다음과 같이 실시하였다. 편마비 환자 24명을 대조군과 실험군으로 나누어 실험군에 주 3회, 6주 동안 PNF의 상 하지 패턴의 결합인 스프린터 패턴(Sprinter pattern)을 실시하였다. 하지 근활성도는 내 외측광근, 내 외측슬괵근, 외측비복근의 활동전위의 실효치 값을 분석하였다. 균형 능력 검사는 FICSIT-4, FSST, MTD-Balance system 이용하여 측정하였다. 운동 적용 방법에 따른 측정 시점에 대한 대조군과 실험군의 유의성 검정은 Two-way repeated measure ANOVA를 실시하였고, 각 측정 항목들 간의 상관관계를 알아보기 위하여 Pearson correlation으로 분석하였다. 그 결과, 스프린터 패턴의 적용은 마비측 하지의 근 활성도를 증가시켜 정적 및 동적 균형능력을 향상시키는데 효과가 있었음을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 마비측 하지의 효율적 근동원을 위한 치료적 중재프로그램으로 적극적인 활용과 함께 다양한 운동 패턴들과 결합시켜 새로운 중재를 개발할 필요가 있을 것으로 생각된다.
