Most research on web site design has focused on technological factors, while visual aesthetic factors have been considered less important. In contrast, this study focuses on visual aesthetic factors in web site design. Findings of this study can be summarized as follows : (1) The result of SPSS-factor analysis shows that there are 3 distinct factors, 'classical aesthetics', 'expressive aesthetics', and 'usability' 'Classical aesthetics' and 'expressive aesthetics' can be described by visual aesthetic design, 'Visual aesthetic design' can be distinguished from 'usability'. This conceptual confusion relating to 'usability' and 'visual aesthetic design' can be clarified by these findings. (2) As a result of multiple regression analyses, 'classical aesthetics', 'expressive aesthetics', and 'usability' have a positive influence on 'interactivity' and 'web site evaluation'. This research clarifies the concepts of 'expectations' of Grier [18] and 'engagement' of Rosen and Purinton [33] as the 'interactivity' between users and web sites. Furthermore, this research suggests a valid model with high $R^2$(interactivity, 48% : web site evaluation, 68%). (3) Empirical tests show that the differences among users in 'entry point' are related to the characteristics of web sites and the personal characteristics of users. The differences among users in terms of 'scanning time' are closely related to the attitudes and evaluation tendencies of users with respect to web sites. These findings could contribute to the 'search phase' of the Faraday model [16], enabling it to be more precise and extensible. The managerial implication of this study is that customers' preferences regarding web site designs are differences, as their preferences are based on their individual characteristics. Therefore, marketing managers should consider promotional tools on web sites that are relevant to the target market. An optimal strategy for web design could be a carefully-selected combination of factors that are relevant to the 'interactivity' and 'evaluation' of web sites. Additionally, if marketing managers want to attract more favorable attitudes and more affirmative evaluations from users, web sites should be designed so that they are understood more quickly by users. finally, this study suggests that 'good design' for web sites depends on understanding how to attain the appropriate balance between 'classical aesthetics' and 'expressive aesthetics', based on the target customer.
This study is to review the main concepts of BSC(Balance Scorecard) and compare the BSCs applied in the private and the public sectors. This comparison suggests a few important aspects that must be attended when BSC is put to use in the public organization. First, the BSC used in the public sector must put the top priority to customer perspective over financial one. The primary mission of a public organization must be the "better service" for the people. Secondly, each of BSC's four main perspectives should be modified and re prioritized according to the goals and objectives of the public organization. Finally, CSFs(Critical Success Factors) and KPIs(Key Performance Indicators) must be integrated into the framework of BSC which also incorporates already existing performance management systems. This case study shows how the redundant and unrelated performance management systems(evaluation management, government task evaluation, job performance appraisal, and customer satisfaction evaluation) are merged into the BSC performance management system in the public organization.
A rise in the occurrence of allergic diseases is attributed to the dysregulated balance of type 1/type 2 immunity, where type 2 T-helper (Th2) cells predominate over type 1 T-helper (Th1) cells, leading to an abnormally increased production of IgE in response to unharmful antigens. Kimchi, a traditional Korean fermented food, is a rich source of beneficial lactic acid bacteria. In this study, we investigated the ability of Enterococcus faecium FC-K derived from kimchi to induce type I immunity in the presence of Th2 polarizing conditions in vitro and in vivo. Stimulation of mouse peritoneal macrophages with E. faecium FC-K induced the production of tumor necrosis factor alpha, interleukin (IL)-6, and IL-12. Under the in vitro Th2 conditions in which splenic T cells were activated in the presence of IL-4, E. faecium FC-K enhanced the ability of T cells to produce interferon $(IFN)-{\gamma}$. Using the ovalbumin (OVA)-induced allergy model, male BALB/c mice receiving E. faecium FC-K reduced the serum level of total IgE, but not that of OVA-specific IgE. Furthermore, the population of activated splenic B cells during OVA immunization was decreased in E. faecium FC-K-treated mice, accounting for a reduction of total IgE in the serum. Restimulating splenocytes from OVA-immunized mice with OVA ex vivo resulted in an increased production of $IFN-{\gamma}$, with no effect on IL-4, in E. faecium FC-K-treated mice. These observations provide the evidence that E. faecium FC-K can be a beneficial probiotic strain that can modulate the Th2-mediated pathologic response.

This research was conducted to find the optimal condition in codigestion of food waste and sewage sludge with various mixing ratios. The analysis of degradation characteristics were based on the variations of methane production as well as methane production rate (MPR). BMP values were getting higher as the addition of foodwaste increased. But the lag-phase were prolonged when the foodwaste was over 40%, Nonlinear regression was conducted with the cumulative methane production data. Not only thermophilic but mesophilic condition, 40% of foodwaste addition showed maximum MPR. Higher mixing ratio which is over 50% were unprofitable in gaining higher MPR values. The most important factor in thermophilic co-digestion was substrate concentration. But in mesophilic co-digestion, both substrate concentration the mixing ratio had major effects on MPR. The most probable reasons of the synergetic effects in co-digestion of foodwaste and sewage sludge were the balanced nutrient expressed as C/N ratio and increased kinetic constants of hydrolysis by the mixed co-substrates.

In order to investigate the ecological factors affecting milk intake frequency of adolescents, the questionnaire survey was conducted with 929 middle and high school students living in Chungnam urban area through October and November 2004. The subjects consumed milk 8.6$\pm$6.7 times per week, other beverages 4.4$\pm$4.1 times per week and drinking water 3.7$\pm$2.1 cups per day. Of the students 77.3% took balanced meals, 72.8% ate regularly and 36.2% ate adequate amount. About 61% had breakfast everyday and nearly a half students snacked once a day. Nutritional knowledge scores about milk was 7.2$\pm$1.7 and milk attitude scores was 28.1$\pm$6.5. The subjects spent daily 1.8$\pm$1.1, 1.9$\pm$1.1, and 1.0$\pm$0.5 hours for computer use, TV watching and exercise, respectively. Milk intake frequencies were positively correlated with excercise, snack frequency, meal balance and regularity, breakfast frequency, food attitude score and milk preference, while showed negative correlationships with TV watching and computer use. Intake frequency of fruit-tasted and chocolate milk showed inverse correlation with nutritional knowledge. Subjects without either school store or vending machine took milk more frequently than those with one or both did. Of the correlated variables, milk preference was the most important influencing factor to milk intake frequency according to the stepwise linear regression analysis, which presented other 5 important influencing factors as food attitude, school vending facilities, excercise, snacking frequency and watching TV. In conclusion, the improvement of milk preference is the most important and effective way to promote milk consumption in adolescents. The favorite ways of drinking milk, nutritional benefit of milk, healthy beverage and good snacking should be taught in nutrition education. Also physical activities should be recommended to students rather than watching TV, computer use and vending facilities selling soft drinks should be limited to be established inside school.
This research performed the empirical test for the effects of sales performance on salesperson's job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and need for achievement using 375 salesperson samples in Korea. Analyzed direct effects among the factors and mediation effects of organizational commitment and need for achievement as well. Results showed that job satisfaction have a significant positive (+) impact on organizational commitment and sales performance, and organizational commitment significant positive influence on need for achievement. However, organizational commitment have no significant effect on sales performance. Need for achievement have a significant direct effect on sales performance positively and have mediation effect between organizational commitment and sales performance. For the mediating effect, organizational commitment have significant result between job performance and need for achievement, but have no significance between job performance and sales performance. This paper suggest that the implications. First, this research exam integrated and detailed analyze for job satisfaction, organizational commitment, need for achievement, and sales performance including the results of verified in precedent study. Second, identify job satisfaction and need for achievement are important factors on salesperson's performance and find out through the empirical test the importance having balance of satisfaction of salesperson's own job and need for achievement in the sales field rather than consider only organizational commitment. Third, in the existing research, high need for achievement increase organizational commitment as a predictor of organizational commitment factor. In this research, claim that organizational commitment also become as a predictor of need for achievement and high organizational commitment make need for achievement higher. Consequently, need for achievement and organizational commitment be interact with each other and significant effect on sales performance of sales force.
The purpose of this study is to find out the subjective and objective fatigue level and the characteristics of seamen's physical strength with the service period on board, to have a new understanding of the vocation, and to explore a physical exercising program for the seamen. The questionnaire survey for the seamen who had been in service on the ocean going vessels was conducted and the results are fumed out as the followings. Total number of seamen who had answered the questionnaire was 64 persons and the distribution status of service period group was identified as 16 persons for each of 4 groups; the group was classified as the group of less than 5 years, 5 - 10 years, 10 - 15 years, and more than 15 years. 1. Working conditions Working hours in a week was identified as 44-56 hours(45.3%) and the number of 45.3% of the seamen answered the working hours in week is more than 56 hours. The seamen of 25.0% are unsatisfied or very unsatisfied with their vocation. The seamen of 65.6% are smoking, and 45.3% of them drink. The seamen of 44.,3% drink once or more in a week. And the seamen of 67.2% do not take any exercise in a week. 2. Contribution to the seamen's fatigue and subjective symptom The most contributive factor to the seamen's fatigue was identified as the short of sleeping(21.5%), overwork(19.2%), poor working conditions (18.6%), and the friction in human relations also becomes one the contribution to the fatigue(14.0%). The subjective symptom by fatigue was identified as the feeling of languid, sleepy and tiredness of eyes. 3. Characteristics of the seamen's physical strength and Interrelations The grip strength and back strength of the seamen whose service period is less than 5 years were measured as 40.44kg and 127.8kg. The sit ups in the group of service period less than 5 years was measured as 36.84 times, and the vertical jump for the seamen in this group was measured as 46.55cm. The closed-eyes foot balance was measured as 33.64 seconds in the group of service period between 5 and 10 years, and side-step was measured as 35.31 times in the group of service period less than 5 years. The standing trunk flexion was measured as 10.54cm for the seamen whose service period is between 10-15 years, and the trunk extension was measured as 50.70cm for the seamen whose service period is less than 5 years. And the step test of the seamen whose service period is between 10-15 years was measured as 54.44 numbers, and the number of flickers of the seamen whose service period is less than 5 years was measured as 32.94.
Cytokines play a pivotal role in systemic inflammatory response following cardiac surgery with cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB). The purpose of this study was to investigate the perioperative changes in proinflammatory [tumor necrosis factor-$\alpha$ (TNF-$\alpha$) and interleukin-6 (IL-6)] and antiinflammatory cytokines [interleukin-10 (IL-10)], and each correlation between the cytokines and other variables in valvular heart surgery with CPB. Serum IL-6 and IL-10 levels and leukocyte counts significantly increased following CPB. CPB caused hepatic, renal and myocardial dysfunctions. IL-6 levels had positive correlations with IL-10 levels at postoperative periods. TNF-$\alpha$ levels had correlations with leukocyte counts and myocardial marker levels at postoperative 24 hr (PO-24 h). Furthermore, IL-6 or IL-10 levels had positive correlations with other variable such as hepatic, renal or myocardial marker at postoperative periods. These results showed that balance between proinflammatory and antiinflammatory cytokines is maintained during cardiac surgery with CPB, and that these cytokines exert postoperatively inflammatory and antiinflammatory reactions.
Purgation therapy has played an important role as a influential remedy from the begining of the Chinese medicine. Comparing with the ancient times, it must be a progression. It was investigated earnestly by a school leaded by Zhang Congzheng. They were not restricted to several diseases, but applied it to the wide range of diseases. They thought as following. 'One is ill from pathogenic factor so that you should eliminate it from the human body'. Hence, they frequently used three major remedies such as diaphoresis, emesis and purgation. In this process, purgation therapy had showed eye-opening progress. But opposition to it was not little. Li Gao was a representative man on the opposite side. He expressed a critical opinion and placed great importance on the genuine energy, the natural healing force. Under his influence, a large number of doctors evaded purgation and put it under taboo. On account of these trend, purgation therapy had took a backward step and retrograded. Therefore cathartics such as Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, Rharbitidis Semen, cold drugs such as Gypsum Fibrosum, etc. had been excluded for preservation of the genuine energy, and came about an obnoxious custom to value only 'tonity deficiency', or 'warm and tonify'. As it had came into fashion to approach most disease from the point of view, purgation therapy was merely fall into a remedy of constipation. He caused an improvement in the use of purgation therapy by regarding innate constitutional contradiction as importance than representing clinical symptoms. He warned that existing remedies that depend only upon symptoms and signs, not upon individual characteristics including constitutional features didn't bring round to but kill them. And he understood all the pathologic processes in his constitutional theory, investigated specific drugs on four constitution, made indications of each prescriptions clear. For giving to differentiation of constition before differentiation of syndrom, his new slant on the pathologic phenomena overcome the limitations of 변증시치, and revaluate purgation therapy from remedy impaire the genuine energy to that restore it by recover the balance between the internal organ. This is a case study of Korea Airports Corporation(KAC) examining the effects of pre- and post-employment experience factors on individual and organizational priority. This study surveyed 240 employees of KAC and analyzed the results. The influence of pre-employment experience (number of times applying to public sector, reason to choose public sector, and job changing experience) and post-employment experience (years of employment, position, and job types) on personal value (authority, achievement, welfare, vacation, and personal life) and organizational value (responsibility, obligation, performance, compensation, and participation) was studied. The results indicated that organizational value is generally greater than personal value. Preference value (=organizational value/personal value) was greater than one for every group. Education, years of employment, position, reason to choose public sector were confirmed to influence preference value. For pre-employment factors, as an employee chooses to work in the public sector because of better balance of work-personal life, preference value was confirmed to be lower. For post-employment factors, when the years of employment are longer and the position is higher, preference value is significantly higher. The results imply that an organization should establish a fair evaluation and compensation system to help employees display their full capability to produce maximum performance.
