PID-신경망 제어기를 이용한 rotary inverted pendulum 제어 (Rotary inverted pendulum control using PID-neural network controller)

  • In this paper, we describes PID-neural network controller for the rotary inverted pendulum. PID control is applied to many fields but has some problems in nonlinear system due to a variation of parameter. So, we should desing the controller which is adjusted PI parameters by the neural network which is learned by backpropagation algorithm. And we show that on-line control is possible through the PID-neural network controller. The angle of the pendulum is controlled and then the position of the rotating arm is also controlled to maintain with in the set point. Measurement of the pendulum angle is obtained using a potentionmeter. The objective of the experiment is to design a PID-neural network control system that positions the arm as well as maintains the ivnerted pendulum vertical. Finally, we describe the actual experiment system and confirm the experimental results.

  • A momentum backpropagation neural network is prepared to carry out real-time dynamics simulations of a passenger car. A full-car model of fifteen degrees of freedom was constructed for vehicle dynamics analysis. Human body dynamics analysis was performed for a male driver(50 percentile Korean adult) restrained by a three point seatbelt system. The trained data using the neural network were obtained using a dynamic solver, ADAMS . The neural network were formed based on the dynamics of the simulator. The optimized hidden layer was obtained by selecting the optimal number of hidden layers. The driving scenario including bump passing and lane changing has been used for the estimation of the proposed neural network. A comparison between the trained data and neural network outputs is found to be satisfactory to show the applicability of the suggested approach.

  • The ultrasonic piezo motor is a new type motor that has an excellent performance and many useful features that electromagnetic motors do not have. But, it suffers from severe system non-linearities and parameter variations especially during speed control. Therefore, it is difficult to accomplish satisfactory control performance by using the conventional PID controller. In this paper, to achieve the precise control, we analyzed response time & change with a driving time, and proposed PD controller combined with neural network. The backpropagation algorithm is used to train a given trajectory. The effectiveness of the used method is confirmed by experiments. The effectiveness of the used method is confirmed by experiments using the ultrasonic motor made in Korea.

  • We consider the problem of constructing observers for nonlinear systems with unknown inputs. Connectionist networks, also called neural networks, have been broadly applied to solve many different problems since McCulloch and Pitts had shown mathematically their information processing ability in 1943. In this thesis, we present a genetic neuro-control scheme for nonlinear systems. Our method is different from those using supervised learning algorithms, such as the backpropagation (BP) algorithm, that needs training information in each step. The contributions of this thesis are the new approach to constructing neural network architecture and its training.

  • A artificial neural network model was developed to analyze and forecast the flow fluctuation at small streams in the Balan watershed. Backpropagation neural networks were found to perform very well in forecasting daily streamflows. In order to deal with slow convergence and an appropriate structure, two algorithms were proposed for speeding up the convergence of the backpropagation method, and the Bayesian Information Criterion(BIC) was proposed for obtaining the optimal number of hidden nodes. From simulations using daily flows at the HS#3 watershed of the Balan Watershed Project, which is 412,5 ㏊ in size and relatively steep in landscape, it was found that those algorithms perform satisfactorily.

  • Recently, fuzzy and neural network techniques have been successfully applied to control of complex and ill-defined system in a wide variety of areas, such as robot, water purification, automatic train operation system and automatic container crane operation system, etc. In this paper, we present a neuro-fuzzy controller which unifies both fuzzy logic and multi-layered feedforward neural networks. Fuzzy logic provides a means for converting linguistic control knowledge into control actions. On the other hand, feedforward neural networks provide salient features, such as learning and parallelism. In the proposed neuro-fuzzy controller, the parameters of membership functions in the antecedent part of fuzzy inference rules are identified by using the error backpropagation algorithm as a learning rule, while the coefficients of the linear combination of input variables in the consequent part are determined by using the least square estimation method. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed controller is verified through computer simulation of an inverted pendulum system.

  • In this study, researchers developed the est algorithm for artificial defects in the semic packages and performed to it by pattern recogn technology. For this purpose, this algorithm was I that researcher made software with matlab. The so consists of some procedures including ultrasonic acquistion, equalization filtering, self-organizing backpropagation neural network. self-organizing ma backpropagation neural network are belong to metho neural networks. And the pattern recognition tech has applied to classify three kinds of detective pa semiconductor packages. that is, crack, delaminat normal. According to the results, it was found estimative algorithm was provided the recognition r 75.7%( for crack) and 83.4%( for delamination) 87.2 % ( for normal).

  • This paper describes a study on the time-varying control of parameters in learning of the neural network. Elman recurrent neural network (RNN) is used to implement the control of parameters. The parameters of learning and momentum rates In the error backpropagation algorithm ate updated at every iteration using fuzzy rules based on performance index. In addition, the gain and slope of the neuron's activation function are also considered time-varying parameters. These function parameters are updated using the gradient descent algorithm. Simulation results show that the auto-tuned learning algorithm results in faster convergence and lower system error than regular backpropagation in the system identification.

  • In this study, we made a comparative study of backpropagation neural network and probabilistic neural network and bayesian classifier and perceptron as shape recognition algorithm of welding flaws. For this purpose, variables are applied the same to four algorithms. Here, feature variable is composed of time domain signal itself and frequency domain signal itself, Through this process, we confirmed advantages/disadvantages of four algorithms and identified application methods of few algorithms.

  • Neural network control has many innovative potentials for intelligent adaptive control. Among many, it promises real time adaption, robustness, fault tolerance, and self-learning which can be achieved with little or no system models. In this paper, a dynamic robot controller has been developed based on a backpropagation neural network. It gradually learns the robot's dynamic properties through repetitive movements being initially trained with a PD controller. Its control performance has been tested on a simulated PUMA 560 demonstrating fast learning and convergence.
