  • In order to overcome social exclusion and to integrate social housing, it is necessary to plan a communal space in urban collective housing so that residents can have belonging sense and community consciousness. In this study, it is necessary to consider the linkage between social integration and residential space, and to derive the characteristics of planning the collective housing for social integration. We analyzed the planning characteristics of MVRDV's communal spaces of collective housing and suggested a method of planning communal spaces of urban collective housing for social integration. Urban density is an important tool and background for MVRDV's design methodology. For this reason, MVRDV's collective housing is selected as a case study in this study. As a result of case analysis, openness and connection characteristics should be considered by using various devices such as glass exterior, balcony, and void in planning the communal space in urban collective housing for social integration. However, since it has appeared in many cases, it can be criticized that the application of this is merely a logic. In other words, it is possible to suggest that we should actively introduce less accessible access. This problem should be solved through more case studies.

  • 한국의 경우 대학 내 도서관과 전자계산소 등의 조직통합의 발전방향은 미국의 선례에 자극을 받아 그 통합이 추진되는 경향을 보여 왔다. 1990년대 중반 이 후 일부 대학들이 도서관과 전자계산소를 통합하였으며 점차 확대되어나갈 것으로 추측된다. 그러나 최근 미국의 추세를 보면 과거 도서관과 전자계산소가 통합되어 운영되고 있던 대학도서관들이 통합 이전으로 다시 분리되고 있는 현상이 일어나고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 2006년 통합이전으로 분리된 미국의 명문사학인 사례대학의 도서관을 대상으로 그들이 경험한 도서관과 전자계산소의 통합운영에 대한 부분을 조직통합의 목적과 배경, CIO의 역할과 리더쉽, 자원에 대한 갈등의 세 가지 측면에서 조사하여 분석하고자 하였다.

기업 간 유대강도가 지식획득과 지식통합 및 혁신성과에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구: 산업단지 내 중소기업을 중심으로 (The Impact of Tie Strength on the Knowledge Acquisition, Knowledge Integration and Innovation Performance: Focusing on Small and Medium Sized Enterprises in the Industrial Clustering)

  • Purpose The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of tie strength in the network of industrial clustering on the knowledge acquisition, integration and innovation performance of small and medium sized enterprises. We test the positive relationship of weak tie and knowledge acquisition, strong tie and knowledge integration, and the interaction effect of two tie strengths on both processes of knowledge acquisition and integration. By identifying these relationships, we can better understand how to manage the attributes of social networks in terms of tie strength in order to improve the performance of innovation for the small and medium sized enterprises. Design/methodology/approach We collect 200 survey data from 2 industrial cluster respectively: Pankyo and Guroo. In Pankyo, the proportion of IT industry is the highest (35%) while the proportion of manufacturing is highest (35%) in Guroo. Pooling the data from two industrial cluster, we check the reliability and validity of our research model and test the hypotheses. Findings First, we find the positive relationship of weak tie and knowledge acquisition from both industrial clustering. Weak tie is composed of heterogeneous organizations with various background and expertise. The communication and information sharing of organizations in the weak tie network helps the idea generation for organization's innovation, which is the knowledge acquisition process. Second, the relationship of strong tie and knowledge integration is insignificant. Typically the strong tie from long-lasting partnership is expected to be beneficial in the action stage of innovation, which is the knowledge integration process. However it is not identified in our industry cluster. Finally, the interaction effect of weak and strong tie is identified to be effective on both knowledge acquisition and integration processes.

  • 메타데이터 개념에 관한 혼란을 살펴보고 개념 변화의 이유에 대하여 알아보았다. 이종 메타데이터 포맷에 관하여 새로운 포맷의 생성 이유, 그들의 특징, 특히 MARC 포맷과 관련하여, 그리고 이들의 변환 및 통합 방법과 문제점을 배경연구로 조사하였다. 이종 메타데이터의 통합 틀로서 RDF와 메타데이터 레지스트리를 조사하고 비교하였다. 이 두 방법은 서로 경쟁적인 접근방식이 아닌 상호보완적인 관계를 가진다고 결론 내렸다.

Multi-omics integration strategies for animal epigenetic studies - A review

  • Genome-wide studies provide considerable insights into the genetic background of animals; however, the inheritance of several heritable factors cannot be elucidated. Epigenetics explains these heritabilities, including those of genes influenced by environmental factors. Knowledge of the mechanisms underlying epigenetics enables understanding the processes of gene regulation through interactions with the environment. Recently developed next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies help understand the interactional changes in epigenetic mechanisms. There are large sets of NGS data available; however, the integrative data analysis approaches still have limitations with regard to reliably interpreting the epigenetic changes. This review focuses on the epigenetic mechanisms and profiling methods and multi-omics integration methods that can provide comprehensive biological insights in animal genetic studies.

칼만필터의 자료동화 활용을 위한 배경오차 공분산의 명시적 시간 진전 제거 (An Affordable Implementation of Kalman Filter by Eliminating the Explicit Temporal Evolution of the Background Error Covariance Matrix)

  • In meteorology, exploitation of Kalman filter as a data assimilation system is virtually impossible due to simultaneous requirements of adjoint model and large computer resource. The other substitute of utilizing ensemble Kalman filter is only affordable by compensating an enormous usage of computing resource. Furthermore, the latter employs ensemble integration sets for evolving the background error covariance matrix by compensating the dynamical feature of the temporal evolution of weather conditions. We propose a new implementation method that works without the adjoint model by utilizing the explicit expression of the background error covariance matrix in backward evolution. It will also break a barrier in the evolution of the covariance matrix. The method may be applied with a slight modification to the real time assimilation or the retrospective analysis.

  • 본 연구는 기업의 업무프로세스 상에서의 정보기술 경쟁우위가 공급사슬통합에 어떻게 영향을 미치는지를 분석하고, 업종별 비교분석을 통해 기업들의 효과적인 공급사슬통합을 위한 정보기술 경쟁우위달성방안을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 연구가설은 이론적 배경을 기초로 하여 크게 두 가지로 구성하였다. 첫 번째 연구가설은 정보기술 경쟁우위가 공급사슬에 미치는 영향에 대한 가설이고, 두 번째 가설은 정보기술 경쟁우위가 공급사슬통합에 미치는 영향이 업종별로 차이가 있다는 가설이다. 기업의 경쟁력 확보를 위한 정보기술 경쟁우위 달성을 위해서는 IT인프라의 확보가 선행되어야 할 것이다. IT인프라에 대한 지속적인 관심과 투자를 바탕으로 정보기술의 도입, 통합, 활용 등 정보기술 경쟁우위 그 자체로 기업성과 향상에 직접적인 영향을 미칠 수 있지만, 정보통합, 조직통합, 전략통합과 같은 공급사슬통합 수준향상에 전략적으로 활용되어야 한다. 정보기술 경쟁우위 확보를 통해 공급사슬 통합이 효과적으로 이루어지면, 기업성과 향상을 도모할 수 있을 것이고 이를 바탕으로 기업의 경쟁우위를 창출하게 될 것이다. 기업의 정보기술 경쟁우위가 공급사슬통합에 미치는 영향을 분석하고, 각 업종 유형별 특징에 따라 어떠한 차이가 있는지를 비교분석하여, 효과적인 공급사슬통합을 위한 정보기술 경쟁우위와 공급사슬통합방안을 제시할 수 있을 것이다.

Point interpolation method based on local residual formulation using radial basis functions

  • A local radial point interpolation method (LRPIM) based on local residual formulation is presented and applied to solid mechanics in this paper. In LRPIM, the trial function is constructed by the radial point interpolation method (PIM) and establishes discrete equations through a local residual formulation, which can be carried out nodes by nodes. Therefore, element connectivity for trial function and background mesh for integration is not necessary. Radial PIM is used for interpolation so that singularity in polynomial PIM may be avoided. Essential boundary conditions can be imposed by a straightforward and effective manner due to its Delta properties. Moreover, the approximation quality of the radial PIM is evaluated by the surface fitting of given functions. Numerical performance for this LRPIM method is further studied through several numerical examples of solid mechanics.

SIMULATION OF COSMIC MICROWAVE BACKGROUND POLARIZATION FIELDS FOR AMiBA EXPERIMENT

  • We have made a topological study of cosmic microwave background (CMB) polarization maps by simulating the AMiBA experiment results. A ACDM CMB sky is adopted to make mock interferometric observations designed for the AMiBA experiment. CMB polarization fields are reconstructed from the AMiBA mock visibility data using the maximum entropy method. We have also considered effects of Galactic foregrounds on the CMB polarization fields. The genus statistic is calculated from the simulated Q and U polarization maps, where Q and U are Stokes parameters. Our study shows that the Galactic foreground emission, even at low Galactic latitude, is expected to have small effects on the CMB polarization field. Increasing survey area and integration time is essential to detect non-Gaussian signals of cosmological origin through genus measurement.
