The local history research started from the 1960's postmodernism neted in the local history as the subject of diversity instead of National history. The local is being magnified as a new research theme among history scholar. In these circumstances, the local history research shows sign of activity and the movement that used in various ways at education has become more active. Compared to the contents business of local history, development of education contents what serviced for student is insufficient. Therefore, this research suggests development plan of local history education contents using archives which efficient tool of history education. Students can grow the ability of historical inquiry, thinking, insight through archives-assisted learning. Also, self-learning is possible instead of a lecture by teacher. This research shows a development of archival contents for local history education though literature research, abroad case analysis, focus group interview with history teachers. Concepts of the local history, local history education, education contents are examined at literature research. Local history education of the State Archives of the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Australia web site is analyzed. These state archives have been providing the web based service of archival contents for local history education for a long time. With these theoretical background, carry out a focus group interview with middle school history teachers. It draw conclusion that 14 category and 35 subcategory and these are reflected in the development of archival contents for local history education.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of implementing semantic mapping reading strategy in the science class on high school students' science text reading ability. 3rd grade students of science core high school in a small and medium-sized city participated in this study for a semester. Texts with socio-scientific issues and chemistry subjects were used to implement semantic mapping reading strategy in the science class. To investigate the changes in students' science text reading ability, experimental group students participated in the pre-reading and post-science reading ability tests and the results were analyzed. The results of this study showed that the mean of the science reading ability test score of experimental group was significantly higher than that of the comparison group. We found that drawing a semantic mapping before solving a reading task made it easier for students to find information and infer meaning from text. It can be seen that students also recognize that the semantic mapping is helpful in understanding the text because it is easy to understand the relationship between concepts by visualizing the content of the text, and can connect their background knowledge with the text content.
The World Heritage Committee decided to make "cultural landscapes" a world heritage category in the 16th Session of the UNESCO General Conference. The decision was made from a recognition of the importance of interactions between human beings and the natural environment or between cultural heritage and natural heritage. Many countries have created policies and institutions to protect their own cultural landscapes along with the changing times. Korea, however, has not obviously defined the concepts and categories of its cultural landscapes, but manages policies and institutions based on the concept of a scenic spot, which has some similar meanings. In addition, it even borrows the "list of landscape adjectives," one of the representative methods for managing landscapes, from foreign countries. With this background, this paper suggested how to define cultural landscapes according to the global development flow. It created a list of cultural landscape adjectives by gathering the adjectives that can properly express local cultural landscapes in Korea. In particular, it collected 4,556 articles from a local newspaper by focusing on the case of Shinan-gun, Jeollanam-do, and analyzed key words and adjectives included in them by using big data analysis. The results suggested by this paper, such as the "classification table of cultural landscape types," "list of cultural landscape adjectives" and "network map of nouns/adjectives" can be applied to research on other localities, and furthermore, used as basic data for finding and protecting the characteristics of local cultural landscapes in Korea.

The process of verifying design concepts and ideas by producing real or equivalent model is essential in the product development process. Against this background, the purpose of this study is to consider the case of developing subjects that can systematically cultivate the ability to produce model from the basic stage to a certain level or higher, focusing on design engineering majors. As a theoretical consideration for this, prior studies related to making such as modeling or prototyping in related areas and majors such as industrial design are considered, followed by Bloom's revised taxonomy model and Hioshi Ishikawa's industrial design program as a methodological consideration for curriculum development. Finally, by applying this, we propose a new course that includes a lecture plan corresponding to the 16th week of learning, which is a general semester of university education. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that producing a physical model was still essential for the development of a new design, and accordingly, it was also necessary to establish a systematic curriculum suitable for the major area. Since the scope of this study extends to the development of subjects, in subsequent studies, it is necessary to consider the contents such as verification and reflection of the utility as competency education through actual application and suggestion of improved subject design.
The purpose of this paper is to explore what roles can and should regional culture play in establishing a regional innovation system, which has been recently described as an essential factor for balanced regional development and specialized regional development. In doing so, we first investigated key concepts and discourses regarding regional innovation system and examined the success factors of a regional innovation system. We also explored how the Korean policy makers have developed the nation's regional innovation policy and regional cultural policy in order to understand the policy context and its limitations. After examining the theoretical background, we reviewed the representative cases of regional innovation in Japan, Yufuin and Yubari, to grasp the way in which 'culture' plays its roles in the formation of the regional innovation system. Since culture has a role as a unique sector, such as art and content industry, as well as a community's style of life, this study tried to explore the aspects and ways of how culture can contribute to the establishment of regional innovation systems considering these distinctive levels. In drawing the implications of the case study, we found that special attention is required for the 'process of formation' of regional innovation systems. We also confirmed that the success of the core activities at each stage heavily relies on the culture of the region; in order to fully understand the relations, it is necessary to re-establish the existing concept of culture and cultural policy with a more holistic perspective.

In this study, we investigated secondary science teachers' internalization of constructivistic science teaching who participated in a collaborative program between teachers and researchers designed by researchers according to constructivist views. The program consisted of lecture, workshop, and small group activities. New trends in science education and framework for science teaching were introduced during lectures, and understanding about the framework were deepened by analyzing school science classes recorded during workshops. In small group activities, participating teachers and researchers cooperated to design science lesson plans using science teaching frameworks. Five secondary science teachers participated in collaborative workshops. Collaborative programs were video-taped. Semi-structured interviews were conducted before and after workshops. All data recorded were transcribed and analyzed. In the process of internalization, participating teachers attended on different parts. Various and discernable factors such as there own background, beliefs, values, and school context produced tensions with or facilitated internalization of constructivistic science teaching. Teaching experiences and student understanding affected teachers' lesson planning activities. Teachers also showed different understandings on inquiry, application, and model from the framework, and they interpret those concepts in the framework based on their prior understanding. They perceived that too much content should be dealt within relatively limited time. Therefore, they tended to separate science class into two parts when developing science lessons: explaining science content by lecture and science laboratory as a constructivistic activity. The results of the study provide meaningful implications to the constructivist teacher education and professional development.
This study aims to examine the basic ideas, utility, background, and methodological development of the semantic map model, and to validate some theoretical issues. The semantic map is a useful tool for visually representing cross-linguistic regularity or universality in the semantic structure of linguistic forms (e.g., morpheme, word, construction, etc.). To compare and contrast the meanings of different linguistic forms employing a semantic map, an internal structure (conceptual map) of a conceptual space is first constructed to characterize the interrelationship among etic concepts, then a semantic range (semantic map) of linguistic forms can be built upon this conceptual map to show the results of emic categorization. This methodology seeks to render outcomes concisely, and there are often questions about the quantitative sufficiency or qualitative reliability of data, as well as about configurational methods and the universal relevance of conceptual maps. Nevertheless, it is hard to deny the power and utility of the semantic map model in contrastive linguistics or in typological studies, since it originates from a long tradition of research into meaning, and it has an intuitive visual clarity. This study also considers the future use of semantic map models and network visualizations which will be based on vast linguistic resources, anticipating how valuable such tools will be for conceptual history research which explores the complex dynamic relationship between language and reality.

This paper analyzes the art theory of Giorgio Vasari, the author of Le Vite de più eccellenti architetti, pittori, et scultori italiani, da Cimabue insino a' tempi nostri, which is considered the world's most important book on art history. Le Vite established a new status for artists and art works by containing facts, knowledge, and criticisms about approximately 200 Renaissance artists, as well as interesting facts that have been handed down to the world. In addition, by describing the sociocultural environment surrounding art, it established itself as a place for standardizing the language of art history. Therefore, Le Vite has a status as a compilation of art theories that describe the successive context of Renaissance art history and the major terms invented, as well as its own ontological value. Accordingly, this paper examines the formation background and each meaning of the core concepts of Renaissance art theory proposed by Vasari through Le Vite. The terms such as disegno and fantasia, and Vasari's position on paragone, which are discussed in the main text of this paper, are the result of a long debate that took place during the Renaissance in the 15th and 16th centuries. Vasari's art theory leads to the universal acceptance that all arts are equal and 'sisters' with a common purpose. In this process, Vasari's Le Vite functioned as a historical testimony to the intellectualization process of art. It also exerted a strong influence on the humanistic education system of Europe and participated in the cultural function of society and citizens.

This study investigated the perceptions of chemistry teachers regarding the use of AI in education, focusing on their stages of concern, expected effects, and factors impeding implementation. Data were collected through a survey of 79 chemistry teachers who participated in first-grade teacher qualification training in 2024. The stages of concern were analyzed both overall and individually, and differences in stages of concern based on background variables were examined using the Kruskal-Wallis H test. The expected effects were measured across seven aspects, with differences were analyzed using repeated measures ANOVA and the Bonferroni method. Factors impeding implementation were analyzed through keyword analysis, focusing on internal and external factors. The results showed that overall concern was relatively low, with informational concern (Stage 1) and unconcerned (Stage 0) being high at 35.4% and 34.2%, respectively. Among active teachers, significant differences in stages of concern were observed depending on whether they had training experience (p<.05). The expected effects of AI in education showed significant statistical differences across the seven aspects (p<.05). Teachers rated 'providing diverse learning experiences' as the highest effect, while 'enhancing understanding of scientific concepts', 'improving scientific inquiry skills', and 'cultivating scientific literacy' were rated relatively low (p<.05). Internal factors were found to impede implementation more than external factors, with key internal factors including 'resistance to change', 'lack of capability', and 'teachers' negative perceptions of AI in education'. Based on these findings, recommendations were made to enhance the implementation of AI in educational settings.
In the early twentieth century, history of animation began by modern artists, they produced various experimental images with the newly invented film and cameras. Artists in the field of movie, photography, paintings and others manipulated images in motion. But as some animated movies won industrial success and popularity, they became the trend but experimental style of early animation preserved by so-called non-mainstreamers or experimental animators, counteracting commercialism. Disney animation also followed the trend by applying realistic Hollywood film style, the worse critics placed a low value on the animation and it tarnished the image, although it was profitable investment from a business standpoint. To make images realistic, they opened a drawing class that animators developed skills to imitate motions and forms from subjects in real life. Also some techniques and gizmos were used to mimic and simulate three dimensional objects and spaces, multiplane camera and compositing 3D CG images with 2D drawings. Moreover, they brought animation stories from fairly tales or folk tales, and Walt's personal interest in live-action movies, they applied Hollywood-film-like narratives and realistic visual, and harsh criticism ensued. On the surface early disney animations' potential seems to be weakened, but in reality it still exists by simplifying and exaggerating forms and color as modern arts. Disney animation employs concepts of the modernism paintings such as simplified shapes and colors to a character design, when their characters are placed together in a scene, that visual elements cause mental reaction. This modification gives a new internal experience to audiences. As conceptual colors in abstract paintings make images appeared to be flat, coloring characters with no shading make them look flat and comparing to them, background images are also appeared to be flat. On top of that, multi-perspective at background images recalls modernist paintings. This essay goes in details with the animation pioneers' works and how Disney animation developed its techniques to emulate real life and analyses color schemes, forms, and spaces in Disney animation compared with modern artists' works, in that the visual language of Disney animation reminds of impression from abstract paintings in the beginning of the twentieth centuries.
