The purpose of this study is to develop the method of stand volume estimation by the plotless sampling method. The required data were obtained from 164 sampling plots in the red pine(Pinus densiflora) stands which were located in Kyeong-gi, Chung-nam, Chung-buk and Kang-won areas, and related factors were measured actually. The method of stand volume estimation and several tables were drivel from these data. 1. The relationship between the values of stand average height, basal area per ha, and basal area height obtained from the plotless sampling method and values measured actually could be described by the equation Y=bx, where b approached nearly 1.0 and there were no significant differences between them. Therefore stand volumes could be estimated by the plotless sampling method. 2. The estimated equations of the stand voulumes, which were estimated using factors to be measured by dendrometer, are as follows ; logV=-0.0208+0.8497 logGH, logV=-0.0028+0.7981 logG+0.9313 logH. Stand volume tables by these estimated equations were shown in table 4, 5 and estimation error percentages were 9.16% and 8.50% respectively. FH=D/(1.5205+0.0994D) logFH=0.0451+0.2429 logD+0.3474 logH logFG=-0.0380+0.7758logG-0.0066logH F=H/ (-5.1697+2.6013H) F=FH/(-3.1256+2.7611FH) logF=-0.0634-0.0848 logGH-0.1224 logDi 4. Stand form height tables(table7, 8), form basal area tables(table 9), and stand form factor tables(table 10, 11) were prepared using the above estimated equations, and the estimation error percentages were less than 10%.

In this paper, the cryogenically cooled low noise amplifier module for radio telescope receiver front-end using pHE-MT MMIC is designed and fabricated. In the selection of MMIC, the MMIC fabricated with the pHEMTS providing successful cryogenic operation are chosen. They are mounted in the housing using the thin film substrate. In the design of the housing, the absorber and the elimination of the gap between the carrier and the housing as well removed the unnecessary oscillations by its structure. The mismatch is improved by ribbon-tuning to provide the best performance at room temperature. The fabricated module shows the gain of $35dB{\pm}1dB$ and the noise figure of $2.37{\sim}2.57dB$ at room temperature over $21.5{\sim}23.5GHz$. In the cryogenic temperature of $15^{\circ}K$ cooled by He gas, the measured gain was above 35 dB and flatness ${\pm}2dB$ and the noise temperatures of $28{\sim}37^{\circ}K$.
Architecture constraints in buildings may typically cause irregularities in the distribution of stiffness and mass and consequently causes non-compliance of centers of mass, stiffness and strength. Such buildings are known as asymmetric buildings the distribution of strength and stiffness is one of whose main challenges. This distribution is more complicated for concrete buildings with RC shear walls in which stiffness and strength are interdependent parameters. The flexibility under the foundation is another subject that can affect this distribution due to the variation of dynamic properties of the structure and its constituting elements. In this paper, it is attempted to achieve an appropriate distribution pattern by expressing the effects of foundation flexibility on the seismic demand of concrete shear walls and also evaluate the effects of this issue on strength and stiffness distribution among lateral force resistant elements. In order to understand the importance of flexibility in strength and stiffness distribution for an asymmetric building in different conditions of under-foundation flexibility, the assigned value to each of the walls is numerically calculated and eventually a procedure for strength and stiffness distribution dependencies on flexibility is provided.
A cDNA clone encoding a MDR-like ABC transporter protein was isolated from Brassica rapa seedlings, through rapid amplification of cDNA ends (RACE). This gene (named as Brmdr 1; GenBank accession no.: DQ296184 ) had a total length of 4222 bp with an open reading frame of 3900 bp, and encoded a predicted polypeptide of 1300 amino acids with a molecular weight of 143.1 kDa. The BrMDR1 protein shared 71.0, 62.5, 60.0 and 58.2% identity with other MDR proteins isolated from Arabidopsis thaliana (AAN28720), Coptis japonica (CjMDR), Gossypium hirsutum (GhMDR) and Triticum aestivum (TaMDR) at amino acid level, respectively. Southern blot analysis showed that Brmdr1 was a low-copy gene. Expression pattern analysis revealed that Brmdr1 constitutively expressed in the root, stem petals and stamens, but with lower expression in leaves and open flowers. The domains analysis showed that BrMDR1 protein possessed two transmembrane domains (TMDs) and two nucleotide binding domains (NBDs) arranging in "TMD1-NBD1-TMD2-NBD2" direction, which is consistent with other MDR transporters. Within NBDs three characteristic motifs common to all ABC transporters, "Walker A", "Walker B" and C motif, were found. These results indicate that BrMDR1 is a MDR-like ABC transporter protein that may be involved in the transport and accumulation of secondary metabolites.
Conventional evaluation method for identifying the organic cause of short stature has a low detection rate. If an infant who is small for gestational age manifests postnatal growth deterioration, triangular face, relative macrocephaly, and protruding forehead, a genetic testing of IGF2, H19, GRB10, MEST, CDKN1, CUL7, OBSL1, and CCDC9 should be considered to determine the presence of Silver-Russell syndrome and 3-M syndrome. If a short patient with prenatal growth failure also exhibits postnatal growth failure, microcephaly, low IGF-1 levels, sensorineural deafness, or impaired intellectual development, genetic testing of IGF1 and IGFALS should be conducted. Furthermore, genetic testing of GH1, GHRHR, HESX1, SOX3, PROP1, POU1F1, and LHX3 should be considered if patients with isolated growth hormone deficiency have short stature below -3 standard deviation score, barely detectable serum growth hormone concentration, and other deficiencies of anterior pituitary hormone. In short patients with height SDS <-3 and high growth hormone levels, genetic testing should be considered to identify GHR mutations. Lastly, when severe short patients (height z score <-3) exhibit high levels of prolactin and recurrent pulmonary infection, genetic testing should be conducted to identify STAT5B mutations.

The purpose of this study was to compare the ultra-violet(UV) radiation under the landscaping shade facilities and tree with natural solar UV of the outdoor space at summer middays. The UVA+B and UVB were recorded every minute from the $20^{th}$ of June to the $26^{th}$ of September 2012 at a height of 1.1m above in the four different shading conditions, with fours same measuring system consisting of two couple of analog UVA+B sensor(220~370nm, Genicom's GUVA-T21GH) and UVB sensor(220~320nm, Genicom's GUVA-T21GH) and data acquisition systems(Comfile Tech.'s Moacon). Four different shading conditions were under an wooden shelter($W4.2m{\times}L4.2m{\times}H2.5m$), a polyester membrane structure ($W4.9m{\times}L4.9m{\times}H2.6m$), a Salix koreensis($H11{\times}B30$), and a brick-paved plot without any shading material. Based on the 648 records of 17 sunny days, the time serial difference of natural solar UVA+B and UVB for midday periods were analysed and compared, and statistical analysis about the difference between the four shading conditions was done based on the 2,052 records of daytime period from 10 A.M. to 4 P.M.. The major findings were as follows; 1. The average UVA+B under the wooden shelter, the membrane and the tree were $39{\mu}W/cm^2$(3.4%), $74{\mu}W/cm^2$(6.4%), $87{\mu}W/cm^2$(7.6%) respectively, while the solar UVA+B was $1.148{\mu}W/cm^2$. Which means those facilities and tree screened at least 93% of solar UV+B. 2. The average UVB under the wooden shelter, the membrane and the tree were $12{\mu}W/cm^2$(5.8%), $26{\mu}W/cm^2$(13%), $17{\mu}W/cm^2$(8.2%) respectively, while the solar UVB was $207{\mu}W/cm^2$. The membrane showed the highest level and the wooden shelter lowest. 3. According to the results of time serial analysis, the difference between the three shaded conditions around noon was very small, but the differences of early morning and late afternoon were apparently big. Which seems caused by the matter of the formal and structural characteristics of the shading facilities and tree, not by the shading materials itself. In summary, the performance of the four landscaping shade facilities and tree were very good at screening the solar UV at outdoor of summer middays, but poor at screening the lateral UV during early morning and late afternoon. Therefore, it can be apparently said that the more delicate design of shading facilities and big tree or forest to block the additional lateral UV, the more effective in conditioning the outdoor space reducing the useless or even harmful radiation for human activities.
Two trials were conducted to study the effects of two Chinese herbal polysaccharides, Astragalus polysaccharides (APS) and Achyranthes bidentata polysaccharides (ABPS), and one Chinese herbal saponin, Acantbepanax senticosus saponin (ASS), on the immunity and growth performance of weaned pigs. Experiment 1 was a 14-day growth assay, in which 32 weaned pigs were randomly allocated to one of four dietary treatments: i) 0.05% talcum powder control; ii) 0.05% APS; iii) 0.05% mixture of APS and ASS in a 1:1 ratio by weight; and iv) 0.05% mixture of APS, ASS, and ABPS in a ratio of 1:1:1 by weight. Blood samples were collected on day 14 to determine plasma parameters. Feed intake, body weight gain, and feed efficiency were also determined. Experiment 2 was a 21-day immunity assay, in which 16 weaned pigs were randomly allotted to one of two dietary treatments: i) 0.05% talcum powder control; and ii) 0.05% mixture of APS and ASS in a 1:1 ratio by weight. On day 21, pigs were challenged with lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and 3 h later blood samples were collected and analyzed for lymphocyte proliferation as well as interleukin 6 (IL-6), insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1), growth hormone (GH), and cortisol levels. In Experiment 1, feeding Chinese herbal polysaccharides and saponin increased growth performance of the pigs. The effects of the mixture of APS and ASS were especially notable, as there was a significant improvement in growth performance compared with the control (p<0.05). The plasma concentration of immunoglobulin G (IgG), nitric oxide (NO), and nitric oxide synthase (NOS) were increased in all treatments groups, with the mixture of APS and ASS increasing the level of IgG and NOS significantly (p<0.05), compared with the control. There was no difference in the NO level between the control and treatment groups (p>0.05). In Experiment 2, Chinese herbal polysaccharides and saponin showed immunostimulating effects. The level of cortisol, GH, and IGF-I were significantly increased (p>0.05), and the level of IL-6 showed a significant decrease (p<0.05) in the APS and ASS treatment after the LPS challenge. The mixture of APS and ASS could stimulate the blood lymphocyte proliferation significantly whether the LPS was injected or not (p<0.05). These results show that Chinese herbal extracts can improve growth performance and stimulate immunity of weaned pigs. A mixture of APS and ASS, compared with APS alone, could be a new kind of immunostimulant for weaned pigs, which could result in greater positive effects on their growth performance and immunity.

The purpose of this study was to find out the effects of music rope-skipping on health fitness, blood lipids and growth-related factors in male middle school students. For this purpose, twenty subjects were participated in this study and the participants were 'After School Class' boys in B middle school located in Gimhae City. They divided into exercise group(n=10) and control group(n=10). Exercise group conducted 45minutes per a day, four times a week for 12 weeks. And the control group continued their normal life. The results were as follows; First, in exercise group, lean body mass, muscular strength, muscular endurance, cardiovascular endurance and flexibility were all significantly increased after program execution. But %body fat was significantly decreased. In control group, muscular strength, muscular endurance and cardiovascular endurance were significantly increased. There were significant differences in lean body mass, %body fat, muscular strength and flexibility between two groups after program execution. Second, in exercise group, HDL-C was significantly increased after program execution. In control group, TG was significantly decreased. But HDL-C was significantly increased. There were no significant differences in all blood lipids(TC, TG, HDL-C and LDL-C) between two groups after program execution. Third, in exercise group, GH and IGF-I were significantly increased after program execution. In control group, IGF-I was significantly decreased. There were significant differences in IGF-I between two groups after program execution. These results indicate that music rope-skipping is effective to improve lean body mass, muscular strength, flexibility, GH and IGF-I in normal middle school male students.
In this paper, we analyze the WLL systems with high chip rate, which virtually eliminates the multipath fading effects by appling space diversity functions. First, we found out the capacity of reverse link which resulted from performing computer simulation of the transmission and reception of the WLL systems to evaluate the performance of the WLL systems in real environment. Besides, we analyze the radio propagation medium and the link budget and from the results, made RCSU for providing of the AWGN multipath fading channel. This RCSU is produced to characterize the urban radio propagation medium in various environments. From the simulation results, diversity gains increase as depth of fading becomes deeper. We also confirm that the systems applied diversity reduce the effects of multipath fading phenomena which cause to degrade the performance of WLL systems, based on the results $E_b/N_o$ and BER curve.

This paper presents a capacitor loaded tunable bandpass chip filter using multiple split ring resonators (MSRRs) with two transmission zeros. To obtain high selectivity and minimize the chip size, asymmetric feed lines are adopted to make a pair of transmission zeros located on each side of passband. Compared with conventional filters using cross-coupling or source-load coupling techniques, the proposed filter uses only two resonators to achieve high selectivity through a pair of transmission zeros. In order to optimize selectivity and sensitivity (insertion loss) of the filter, the effect of the position of asymmetric feed line on transmission zeros and insertion loss is analyzed. The SOI-CMOS switched capacitor composed of metal-insulator-metal (MIM) capacitor and stacked-FETs is loaded at outer rings of MSRRs to tune passband frequency and handle high power signal up to +30 dBm. By turning on or off the gate of the transistors, the passband frequency can be shifted from 4GH to 5GHz. The proposed on-chip filter is implemented in 0.18-${\mu}m$ SOI CMOS technology that makes it possible to integrate high-Q passive devices and stacked-FETs. The designed filter shows miniaturized size of only $4mm{\times}2mm$ (i.e., $0.177{\lambda}g{\times}0.088{\lambda}g$), where ${\lambda}g$ denotes the guided wave length of the $50{\Omega}$ microstrip line at center frequency. The measured insertion loss (S21)is about 5.1dB and 6.9dB at 5.4GHz and 4.5GHz, respectively. The designed filter shows out-of-band rejection greater than 20dB at 500MHz offset from center frequency.
