  • To improve the performance of the bent-axis type axial piston pump driven by the tapered piston, it is necessary to know the driving characteristics and mechanism of the tapered piston and the cylinder block. Since each piston not only rotates on its axis and reciprocates in the cylinder bore, but also revolves around the axis of the driving shaft, it is difficult to analyze the driving mechanism theoretically. The theoretical mechanism for the bent-axis type axial piston pump is studied by using the geometrical method. The driving range of the tapered piston is determined by theoretical equations. The experimental results show that the cylinder block is driven by one tapered piston in a limited range and the core parameters such as driving factor of the piston and the ahead delay angle influenced performance of the bent-axis type axial piston pump.

Structural, Electrical and Optical Properties of ZnO Thin Films Grown at Various Plume-Substrate Angles by Pulsed Laser Deposition

  • ZnO thin films were grown at different plume-substrate (P-S) angles of 90$^{\circ}$ (on-axis PLD), 45$^{\circ}$ and 0$^{\circ}$ (off-axis PLD) using pulsed laser deposition. The x-ray diffraction pattern exhibiting a dominant (002) and a minor (101) peak of ZnO indicates all films were strongly c-axis oriented. By observing of (002) peak, the FWHMs of ZnO (002) peaks decreased and c-axis lattice constant approached the value of bulk ZnO as P-S angle decreased. Whereas the carrier concentration of ZnO thin film deposited at P-S angle of 90$^{\circ}$ was ~ 10$^{19}$ /cm$^{3}$, the Hall measurement of ZnO thin films deposited at P-S angles of 0$^{\circ}$ and 45$^{\circ}$ was impossible due to the decrease of the carrier concentration by the improvement of stoichiometry and crystalline quality. By decreasing P-S angle, the grain size of the films and the UV intensity investigated by photoluminescence (PL) increased and UV peak position showed red shift. The improvement of properties in ZnO thin films deposited by off-axis technique was due to the decrease of repulsive force between a substrate and the particle in plume and the relaxation of supersaturation.

  • In this paper, the characteristics of single-phase line-start permanent magnet synchronous motor driven by constant voltage are analyzed on d-q axis vector diagram and compared with that of current controlled motor. The coupled method of symmetrical coordinates and d-q axis voltage equation are applied to the analysis method like the analysis of single-phase induction motor. From the result of the analysis, it is seen that motors driven by constant voltage source have effects on not only the amplitude of current and torque but also current and current phase angle, so overall characteristics such as power factor and load angle are affected by circuit parameters. For precise analysis and design of single-phase line-start synchronous motor, its characteristics should be analyzed on d-q axis vector plan in consideration of the variation of circuit parameters.

  • The authors aim to establish the theory necessary for developing free gyro positioning system and focus on measuring the nadir angle by using the motion rate of a free gyro. The azimuth of a gyro vector from the North can be given by using the property of the free gyro. The motion rate of the spin axis in the gyro frame is transformed into the platform frame and again into the NED (north-east-down) navigation frame. The nadir angle of a gyro vector is obtained by using the North components of the motion rate of the spin axis in the NED frame. The component has to be transformed into the horizontal component of the gyro by using the azimuth of the gyro vector and then has to be integrated over the sampling interval.

A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF THE ANGLES BETWEEN CROWN AXIS AND ROOT AXIS IN MESIODISTAL DIRECTION BY USING ORTHOPANTOMOGRAM

  • Orthopantomogram is commonly used to evaluate root parallelism. "Good parallelism" between roots is widely accepted as one of the guidelines of a successful orthodontic treatment. In case there was a large angle between crown axis and root axis, and if we valued only the position of crown in establishing occlusal relationship without considering of the situation of root, the problem of root arrangement between adjacent teeth would be occurred. The estimate of root parallelism in mesiodistal direction before and after orthodontic treatment must be emphasized. The intent of this study was to determine the clinical importance and correlation of the angle between crown axis and root axis. Orthopantomograms of 105 orthodontic patients being treated in Yonsei university were used in this study. Twenty-eight teeth in both maxilla and mandible were selected and analyzed quantitively to evaluate the angle between crown axis and root axis, and obtain the correlationship among the individual teeth. The results are as follows: 1. Among the teeth presenting normal distribution, the maxillary right canine showed the largest mean value( $5.73{\pm}4.42^{\circ}$), which was composed of the crown-root angles, and the mandibular left lateral incisor showed the smallest mean value( $0.60{\pm}3.76^{\circ}$). 2. The crown-root angles of the maxillary incisors and the first molars, and the mandibular central incisors and the first molars didn't show normal distribution and the ranges of these angles were dispersed. 3. Significant differences were present between the crown axis and the root axis except for lower first premolars. (p<0.05) 4. No significant difference was present for the crown-root angle between right and left side, (p<0.05) 5. No significant difference was present for the crown-root angle between male and female except for lower left first premolar. (p<0.05) 6. In the upper right quadrant, significant correlations were present between crown-root angles of the central incisor and lateral incisor, lateral incisor and canine. In the upper left quadrant, significant correlations were present between crown-root angles of the central incisor and lateral incisor. In the lower right quadrant, significant correlations were present between crown-root angles of the central incisor and lateral incisor, first molar and second molar. In the lower left quadrant, significant correlations were present between crown-root angles of the central incisor and lateral incisor, lateral incisor and canine, first molar and second molar. 쿼터니언을 이용한 6축 로봇 방위보간법에 관한 연구 (A Study on Orientations Interpolation of 6-Axis Articulated Robot using Quaternion)

  • This paper presents the study on orientations interpolation of 6-axis articulated robot using quaternion. In this paper, we propose a control algorithm between given two orientations of 6-axis articulated robot by using a quaternion with spherical linear interpolation. In order to study the quaternion interpolation, We created Inverse kinematics program and Interpolation program using LabVIE$^{(R)}$. The rotation angle of each axis were calculated using both euler orientations interpolation program and quaternion orientations interpolation program. The proposed control algorithm is shown to be effective in terms of motor angles and torques when compared to a conventional Euler angle interpolation, by using both LabVIEW$^{(R)}$ and RecurDyn$^{(R)}$.

  • Laser assisted machining is the processing method that preheating brittle materials by laser heat source and cutting the soften area. This processing applied to various industries because it can be cutting difficult-to-cut materials. However, the laser assisted machining appeared the limitations of processing for equipped with the spindle. So, it assumed separate model that spindle and laser assisted machining. In feed, the calculation of changing the angle of the laser module according to preheat point and the shape of the feed is important and it tried easy calculating changing angle of 1-axis Manipulator in separate model. In 3 types feed shape, angle of 1-axis Manipulator was calculated when fixed and moved in the outside of spindle. In this study, suggest 2 types of methods for laser module when fixed and moved.

열처리된 off-axis angle r-plane 사파이어를 이용한 비극성 GaN 성장

  • 질화물 기반의 LED의 경우 c-plane 사파이어에 GaN을 성장 하는 방법이 많이 연구되어 왔다. 그러나 c-plane 위에 성장시킨 LED는 분극현상이 발생하여 양자효율의 저하와 발광파장의 적색 편이를 야기한다[1]. 이런 문제를 해결하기 위하여 a-plane (11-20), m-plane (10-10) 등의 비극성면을 갖는 GaN을 성장을 통해 분극문제를 해결하고자 하는 방법이 제안되었다 [2] 하지만, 현재 비극성 면을 갖는 고품질의 박막을 성장시키기 어렵다는 단점이 존재한다. 고품질의 박막을 성장시키는 방법으로는 ELO와 다중 버퍼층의 사용처럼 여러가지 방법이 연구되고 있다. 하지만 사파이어의 tilt와 열처리에 따른 표면 개질에 대한 연구는 많이 진행되어지고 있지 않다. 본 연구에서는 사파이어에 열처리를 통하여 표면의 특성 변화를 관찰하고 이를 이용하여 고품위 GaN 박막의 품질을 높이려 하였다. r-plane 사파이어에 유기금속화학증착법(MOCVD)을 이용하여 a-plane GaN을 성장하였다. 이 공정에서 사용한 pre-treatment는off-axis angle을 가진 기판의 표면 열처리이다A-plane GaN 성장전에 m-direction으로 off-axis angle을 가진 r-plane 사파이어 기판을 1300도로 가열한 후 각각의 다른 시간에서 열처리를 진행하였다. Off-axis angle을 가진 사파이어는 표면에 step구조를 가지고 있으며, 이 step의 width를 비롯한 표면의 morphology는 off-axis angle에 따라 달라진다. Off-axis angle을 변화시킨 사파이어를 1300도에서 1시간, 3시간, 5시간 annealing하여 표면을 AFM을 사용하여 관측한 결과 step width가 증가하고 step의 형태가 뚜렷해지며 rms-roughness가 변화한 것을 관찰할 수 있었다. 그리고 이 각각의 기판을 동일한 조건으로 a-plane GaN을 성장하여 박막의 특성을 측정하였다. 본 발표에서는 사파이어 기판의 표면 처리에 따른 비극성 GaN의 특성 변화에 대한 분석 결과를 논의할 것이다.

경추 정면 검사에서 방사선 입사각에 관한 연구 (A Study of Radiation Incidence Angle in Anteroposterior Cervical Vertebra Examination)

  • 경추 정면 방사선검사시 하악골, 후두골의 겹침방지, 경추 추체의 배열 및 관절의 형태 등을 관찰하기 위하여 X선 입사각을 머리 방향으로 $15{\sim}20^{\circ}$를 주고 있는 것이 보편적이다. 하지만 한국인의 체형에 맞는 입사각에 대한 연구는 거의 이루어지지 않고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 한국인에 적합한 입사각을 찾고, 방법을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 입사각을 측정하기 위하여 서산에 위치한 S병원을 내원한 환자 1,044명을 대상으로 하였으며, 제 2번~제 5번 경추의 길이, 피사체-영상판 거리(OID), 제2번경추(axis)의경사도, 초점-영상판 간거리(FID)를 측정하였으며, 연령대 성별에 대한 평균값을 측정하여 적용공식에 의하여 입사각을 산출하였다. 경추 제2번~제5번의 평균길이는 6cm 이였으며, 10대부터 20대까지는 경추의 길이가 커지고 30대 이후로는 경추의 길이가 작아졌으며, 남성과 여성의 차이는 약 1cm 차이가 나타났다(p<.001). OFD는 연령대, 성별과 상관없이 거의 같은 값이 측정이 되었다. 제2번 경추(axis)의 경사도는 10대와 20대는 경사도가 증가하였지만, 30대 이후로는 작게 나타났다. 또한 남성과 여성은 약 $2^{\circ}$차이가 났다(p<.001). FID의 측정 결과, 연령대, 성별과 상관없이 거의 같은 값이 측정되었으며, 이 값으로 입사각을 측정한 결과, 10대는 $15.9^{\circ}$, 20대 $16.9^{\circ}$, 30대 $16.6^{\circ}$, 40대 $16.2^{\circ}$, 50대 $15.9^{\circ}$, 60대 $14.5^{\circ}$로 측정되었다. 10대와 20대까지 입사각이 증가하였지만, 30대 부터는 입사각이 작게 나타났다. 또한 10대는 남성과 여성이 같은 값으로 측정이 되었고, 20대부터는 남성과 여성이 $2^{\circ}$ 차이가 나타났다. 입사각과 제 2번~제 5번 경추의 길이측정, OID, 제 2번 경추의 경사도, FID와의 상관관계를 실시하였고, 입사각과 모두 유의한 상관관계가 나타났다(p<.001). 본 연구에서 경추의 평균 길이, OID, FID, 제2번 경추(axis)의 경사도에 따라서 입사각이 다르게 나타났고, 성별과 연령에 따라 입사각이 다른 것을 알 수 있었다. 그러므로 경추 정면검사 시 연령, 성별을 고려하여 입사각을 설정하면서 검사를 시행하여야 함이 사료되며, 향후 경추검사의 입사각을 설정할 때 참고 자료로 이용될 것으로 기대된다.

레이저 보조 가공을 위한 2-축 틸팅의 회전각에 대한 연구 (Study on Angle Calculation of Two-axis Manipulator for Laser Assisted Machining)

  • Laser Assisted Machining (LAM) was often used in process of difficulty-to-cut materials. In previous study, Laser assisted machining was a straight path processing using 1-axis manipulator in laser module. But 1-axis manipulator in laser module was able to process only straight path. So, in this study, laser module in laser assisted machining equipped to 2-axis manipulator. 2-axis manipulator has two motors. First motor is machining direction motor and second motor is Vertical Motor. Machining direction motor rotates in the direction of machining and vertical motor rotates vertical direction in the direction of machining. Machining path of laser assisted machining was considered diagonal path and curved path of laser heat source. This study calculated the 2-axis manipulator's rotation angle in diagonal path and curved path.
