초음파 영상에 의한 골밀도 측정에서 관심영역의 자동 검출방법 (Automatic Detection Method of the Region of Interest in the Measurement of Bone Mineral Density by Ultrasound Imaging)

  • In ultrasonic bone densitometry, the positioning of measurement site is decisive in precision and reproducibility. In this study, automatic Region of Interest (ROI) detection algorithm is suggested and adopted the method using the local minimum value by ultrasonic image. The preprocess before the local minimum method extracts out the bone area and calculates the geometrical information of bone. The developed ROI detection algorithm was applied to the clinical test for the subject of 305 female patients in the range of 22-88 years old. As the results, the accuracy of the algorithm was shown to be 98.3%. It was also found that bone density parameter was significantly correlated with age(r=0.85, p<0.0001).

  • GPS 위성은 측지위성으로 최근에 여러 분야의 민간용, 특히 자동차용 항법장치로 사용 되고 있다. GPS 위성으로 부터 얻어지는 위치정보와 디지탈 정보로 변환된 지도 정보를 결합하 여 자동차용 항법장치를 구성하였다. 이 논문에서는 이 시스템의 구현을 위한 서프트웨어의 작성 과 소프트웨어의 시험 예에 대하여 간단하게 요약한다.

  • This paper involves the "on-line" measurement of burrs using a capacitance sensor. A non-contact capacitance gauging sensor is attached to an ultra precision milling machine which was used as a positioning system The setup is used to measure burr profiles along machined workpiece edges. Experimental procedures and results as well as the basic theoretical principles of the capacitance sensor and specifications of related equipment are presented. The proposed scheme is shown to be accurate easy to setup and with minor modifications readily applicable to automatic deburring processes.processes.

  • This paper focuses on the formulation and validation of an automatic strategy for the selection of the locations and directions of strain gauges to capture at best the modal response of a blade in a series of modes.   • This paper presents the design of a placement sysyem integrated in PCB design system. to get an optimal component positioning from part and net list. Unplaced components are placed in initial process using modified cluster development algorithm and are swapped in improvement process using the GFDR(Generalized Force Directed Relaxation) algorithm. The result is optimized in post process by component rotating or pin/gate swapping. Experimental results shwo that the placement system produces manufacturable layouts which are optimal in terms of total routing length.

Image Clustering using Geo-Location Awareness

  • This paper suggests a method of automatic clustering to search of relevant digital photos using geo-coded information. The provided scheme labels photo images with their corresponding global positioning system coordinates and date/time at the moment of capture, and the labels are used as clustering metadata of the images when they are in the use of retrieval. Experimental results show that geo-location information can improve the accuracy of image retrieval, and the information embedded within the images are effective and precise on the image clustering.

  • This study developed a design to estimate the location of rescue demander using the sound system at disaster site, in the conditions of indoor positioning cannot be performed properly. It is a location tracing system through smart phone application. It generates sound wave information of rescuer at the rescue site, and it can be used as assistant means for indoor location tracing at the disaster site using sound wave receiving measurement technology.

  • Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI) has been developing one mobile and one stationary SLR system since 2008 named as ARGO-M and ARGO-F, respectively. KASI finished the step of deriving the system requirements of ARGO. The requirements include definitions and scopes of various software and hardware components which are necessary for developing the ARGO-M operation system. And the requirements define function, performance, and interface requirements. The operation system consisting of ARGO-M site, ARGO-F site, and Remote Operation Center (ROC) inside KASI is designed for remote access and the automatic tracking and control system which are the main operation concept of ARGO system. To accomplish remote operation, we are considering remote access to ARGO-F and ARGO-M from ROC. The mobile-phone service allows us to access the ARGO-F remotely and to control the system in an emergency. To implement fully automatic tracking and control function in ARGO-F, we have investigated and described the requirements about the automatic aircraft detection system and the various meteorological sensors. This paper addresses the requirements of ARGO Operation System.

Prediction of Motion State of a Docking Small Planing Ship using Artificial Neural Network

  • Automatic docking of small planing ship is a critical aspect of maritime operations, requiring accurate prediction of motion states to ensure safe and efficient maneuvers. This study investigates the use of Artificial Neural Network (ANN) to predict motion state of a small planing ship to enhance navigation automation in port environments. To achieve this, simulation tests were conducted to control a small planing ship while docking at various heading angles in calm water and in waves. Comprehensive analysis of the ANN-based predictive model was conducted by training and validation using data from various docking situations to improve its ability to accurately capture motion characteristics of a small planing ship. The trained ANN model was used to predict the motion state of the small planning ship based on any initial motion state. Results showed that the small planing ship could dock smoothly in both calm water and waves conditions, confirming the accuracy and reliability of the proposed method for prediction. Moreover, the ANN-based prediction model can adjust the dynamic model of the small planing ship to adapt in real-time and enhance the robustness of an automatic positioning system. This study contributes to the ongoing development of automated navigation systems and facilitates safer and more efficient maritime transport operations.

LIDAR 데이터와 수치항공사진을 이용한 건물 자동추출 (Automatic Building Extraction Using LIDAR and Aerial Image)

  • 도시지역의 대부분을 차지하는 건물에 대한 3차원 공간정보는 지도제작뿐 아니라 무선 통신망 설계, 카 내비게이션, 가상도시 구축 등에 근간이 되는 주요 정보이다. 대표적인 수동센서(passive sensor)로부터 얻어진 수치항공사진은 높은 수평 위치정확도를 가지는 반면 중심투영과 폐색지역에 의한 원천적인 문제로 인하여 자동화 과정이 어렵다. 반면 능동센서인 LIDAR 시스템은 지표면에 대한 비정규 점군 형태의 3차원 정보를 빠르고 정확하게 제공한다. 하지만 데이터 취득 특성상 건물의 외곽선과 같은 정보의 획득에는 어려움이 있다. 본 연구에서는 수치항공사진과 LIDAR 데이터를 용합하여 건물의 외곽선을 자동으로 추출하는 방법을 제안하였다. 실험 결과 본 연구에서 제안한 방법은 복잡한 형태의 건물의 외곽선 추출에 우수한 결과를 보여주었으며, LIDAR 데이터와 수치항공사진을 이용해 건물을 자동으로 추출할 수 있는 가능성을 제시하였다.
