인터넷 포털 사이트에 대한 사용자 평가측정 도구의 개발 (Developing a Measurement Scale for User Evaluations of Internet Portal Sites)

  • As the Internet service is expanding rapidly, portal sites, a gateway tn the net, are attracting increasing attention these days. As the Internet service has expanded rapidly, so has the interest for portal sites,, which serve as a gateway to the net. Despite the tendency, however, research on a measure by which to evaluate the quality of portal sites or development of such measures has not been fully pursued. As online services, faced with profitability, are considering 'charge per view', the development of a set of quality evaluation measures for portal services will prove to become a valuable instrument in constructing competitive strategies that are vital for survival and growth of a firm. In that regard, this study aims to develop a set of evaluation measures for Internet portal sites by empirically investigating the most common offline measures for quality of services, SERVQUAL, retail SERVQUAL and other evaluation measures for IT-related online services. Moreover, the study offers the strategic implications of the defined measures.

  • 최근에 작업 증명(PoW) 블록체인 합의 알고리즘들이 에너지 낭비, 확장성 부족 등의 문제점들이 나타나면서 비잔틴 장애 허용(BFT) 계열 합의 알고리즘들이 주목을 받고 있다. BFT 계열 합의 알고리즘들의 큰 특징 중 하나는 검증자 집합을 형성하여 그 안에서 합의를 이루는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 BFT 계열 합의 알고리즘들 중에서도 알고랜드, 스텔라, 이오스의 검증자 집합 형성 방법들의 확장성, 목표가 설정된 공격 가능 여부, 시빌 공격 가능 여부에 대해서 비교, 분석하였다. 또한 데이터 분석을 통한 각 검증자 형성 방법들의 문제점들을 발견하였고, 해당 합의 알고리즘들은 공통적으로 소수의 권력 있는 노드들이 전체 시스템을 지배하는 중앙화 현상이 나타남을 밝혔다.

PCRM: Increasing POI Recommendation Accuracy in Location-Based Social Networks

  • Nowadays with the help of Location-Based Social Networks (LBSNs), users of Point-of-Interest (POI) recommendation service in LBSNs are able to publish their geo-tagged information and physical locations in the form of sign-ups and share their experiences with friends on POI, which can help users to explore new areas and discover new points-of-interest, and promote advertisers to push mobile ads to target users. POI recommendation service in LBSNs is attracting more and more attention from all over the world. Due to the sparsity of users' activity history data set and the aggregation characteristics of sign-in area, conventional recommendation algorithms usually suffer from low accuracy. To address this problem, this paper proposes a new recommendation algorithm based on a novel Preference-Content-Region Model (PCRM). In this new algorithm, three kinds of information, that is, user's preferences, content of the Point-of-Interest and region of the user's activity are considered, helping users obtain ideal recommendation service everywhere. We demonstrate that our algorithm is more effective than existing algorithms through extensive experiments based on an open Eventbrite data set.

사물인터넷에서 주기적 센싱 데이터 제어를 위한 스마트 디바이스 집합 구성 방안 (Organizing the Smart Devices' Set for Control of Periodic Sensing Data in Internet of Things)

  • 인터넷에 연결된 사물이 인간의 명시적 개입 없이 정보를 생성하고, 다른 사물, 사람, 시스템과 연동하여 동작하는 사물인터넷(Internet of Things) 기술이 주목받고 있다. 2020년에는 각종 센서와 네트워크 기능이 탑재된 스마트 디바이스가 260억대에 이를 것으로 전망되고, 급증하는 스마트 디바이스로부터 생성되는 센싱 데이터는 기하급수적으로 증가하여 인터넷 연결 트래픽 증가와 무선 채널 혼잡을 야기할 수 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 사물인터넷에서 주기적인 센싱 데이터를 수집 전달하기 위해 스마트 디바이스를 싱크노드로 활용하는 방안을 제안하고, 스마트 디바이스가 실행 중인 응용의 요구사항을 만족시키는 최적의 싱크노드 집합을 구하는 것은 NP-hard문제[1]이므로 휴리스틱 방법을 이용하여 싱크노드 집합을 구성하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안하는 휴리스틱 알고리즘의 시간복잡도는 $O(m^3)$으로 최적의 싱크노드를 구하는 알고리즘보다 빠른 시간에 싱크노드 집합을 구할 수 있다.

An adaptive analysis in the element-free Galerkin method using bubble meshing technique

  • In this study an adaptive node generation procedure in the Element-free Galerkin (EFG) method using bubble-meshing technique is proposed. Based on the error function that obtained by projected error estimation method, the initial node arrangement is defined along the background cell that is used in the numerical integration. To obtain the smooth nodal configuration, the nodal configuration are regenerated by bubble-meshing technique. This bubble meshing technique was originally developed to generate a set of well-shaped triangles and tetrahedra. Its basic idea is packing circles or spheres, called bubble, into the specified area or space naturally using some dynamic equations with attracting and repelling force. To demonstrate the performance of proposed scheme, the convergence behaviors are investigated for several problems.

  • The new materials such as graphene and other nano scale structured materials are attracting great attention due to its expandability for the future electronic devices. In this presentation, a variety of analysis techniques will be introduced for the latest new material applications such as graphene and organic materials with number of metals. The basic properties of next generation device should be carefully analyzed without being exposed to ambient surrounding since the physical and chemical properties of new material or interface states are easily and drastically changed by ambient condition. With the combination of the fabrication process and precise analysis instruments, it is expected to set the facilities supporting the nanotechnology industry and other research groups. This system will give strong support nanotechnology and other complex science with qualified data and information on basic knowledge on the new-forthcoming materials for the future.

A Case of Applying Flipped learning to Norms of Language Course

  • Recently, Flipped Learning is attracting attention as a method for qualitative growth of university education. Flipped Learning is a kind of computer based education and consisted of online video lectures and offline student activities. This paper introduces the results of applying Flipped Learning for one semester to Korean linguistic norms course. As for this course, the contents related to the knowledge and information were provided individually before the class through online video, and the offline classes focused on student-led activities. When qualitatively evaluating the results of the course, students developed a more comprehensive and flexible mind set beyond the preexisting normative attitudes and showed increase in analytical and critical thinking in understanding the principles of linguistic norms and spelling system. According to these results we argue that it is necessary to actively adopt Flipped Learning in the humanities education, including the grammar classes.

  • Computational modeling of signal transduction is currently attracting much attention as it can promote the understanding of complex signal transduction mechanisms. Although several mathematical models have been used to examine signaling pathways, little attention has been given to crosstalk mechanisms. In this study, an attempt was made to develop a computational model for the pathways involving growth-factor-mediated mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) and phosphatidylinositol 3'-kinase/protein kinase B (PI3K/Akt). In addition, the dynamics of the protein activities were analyzed based on a set of kinetic data. The simulation approach integrates the information on several levels and predicts systems behavior. The in-silico analysis conducted revealed that the Raf and Akt pathways act independently.

  • This study suggests the holding of the 2015 Busan Harbour Registration Exposition in order to activate port & logistics industry, motivate Busan regional development and set up the long-term goal of local people. The SWOT analysis shows that the given conditions of Busan is competitive to attract the 2015 Busan Harbour Registration Exposition, which might be further strengthened for the competitiveness of the Port of Busan. The way to maximize the holding possibility of the EXPO, then, should be more emphasized for the successful implementation of the Pre-Expos periodically and successively by developing and planning perfectly logicality, differentiated subject and concept of the EXPO which accepted in the inside and outside of country.

무전해도금(I) (Review on Electroless Plating(I))

  • There are many plating methods already commercially employed in te surface technology. One of the plating methods is electroless (chemical) plating, which is deposited by auto-catalytic reduction of metallic ion with the reducing agent in the plating bath. And it has many advantages comparing with electrolytic plating in respect of properties of deposit, such as corrosion resistance, wear resistance, uniformity, hardness, adhesion and so on. So, electroless plating is the fatest growing process in metallization of plastic and electronic industry. The properties and numerous applications of electroless deposits are attracting more and more attention from finish specifies. Many metal finishers are considering set-up of new electroless line in their shops. This review will be beneficial to domestic metal finishers to understand the real status of present electroless plating technology. It will also provide some knowledge on the economic aspect of electroless plating for the commercial application of specific parts.
