This study utilizes social big data to investigate the factors influencing the awareness, attitude, and behavior toward vegan fashion consumption among global and Korean consumers. Social media posts containing the keyword "vegan fashion" were gathered, and meaningful discourse patterns were identified using semantic network analysis and sentiment analysis. The study revealed that diverse factors guide the purchase of vegan fashion products within global consumer groups, while among Korean consumers, the predominant discourse involved the concepts of veganism and ethics, indicating a heightened awareness of vegan fashion. The research then delved into the factors underpinning awareness (comprehension of animal exploitation, environmental concerns, and alternative materials), attitudes (both positive and negative), and behaviors (exploration, rejection, advocacy, purchase decisions, recommendations, utilization, and disposal). Global consumers placed great significance on product-related information, whereas Korean consumers prioritized ethical integrity and reasonable pricing. In addition, environmental issues stemming from synthetic fibers emerged as a significant factor influencing the awareness, attitude, and behavior regarding vegan fashion consumption. Further, this study confirmed the potential presence of cultural disparities influencing overall awareness, attitude, and behavior concerning the acceptance of vegan fashion, and offers insights into vegan fashion marketing strategies tailored to specific cultures, aiming to provide vegan fashion companies and brands with a deeper understanding of their consumer base.
This study analyzed the factors determining fashion lifestyle of Uzbek students in Korea and their clothing purchasing behavior and attitudes towards Hallyu, the Korean image, satisfaction, preferences and purchasing intentions for Korean fashion according to fashion lifestyle. The data collected from 260 Uzbekistan students in Korea were subjected to factor analysis, cluster analysis, ANOVA, Duncan test, and ${\chi}^2$-test using SPSS 25.0. The results were as follows: 1) Fashion lifestyle was analyzed based on brand orientation, tradition, fashion, and personality. The fashion lifestyle group was classified as follows: brand, fashion/personality, traditional, and fashion passive. 2) The evaluation criteria for fashion products, information sources, and store selection criteria were varied among the four groups of fashion lifestyle. 3) The attitude toward Hallyu and Korean image, the satisfaction, preference, and purchasing intention of KFP varied significantly between the fashion lifestyle groups. 4) The demographics of fashion lifestyle groups showed significant differences in sex and residential status. These results can be used as a basis for fashion companies targeting markets for Uzbek people in their 20s.
The purpose of this research was to examine the extent of deontological (values) and teleological evaluation (considering consequences) used in arriving at an ethical judgment concerning intention to purchase a fashion counterfeit. In addition, the effect of psychographic (attitudes toward counterfeiting, risk taking, self-image, value consciousness, public self-consciousness, and materialism) and product attributes (perceived fashion content, physical appearance, and image) on intention to purchase a counterfeit product were investigated. Two alternatives and possible consequences as well as the scenario were given to the participants. The first alternative is persuading a friend not to buy a counterfeit and the second alternative is purchasing a counterfeit product with a friend. Participants (n = 245) were undergraduate volunteers enrolled in courses at a Midwestern university. Data were analyzed using confirmatory factory analysis and structural equation modeling. The proposed structural models fit the data adequately in both alternatives, and all paths were significant. Participants followed the decision making steps outlined by Hunt and Vitell (1986) in both alternatives. Personal characteristics exerted no influence on behavioral intentions concerning counterfeits. Two product-related characteristics (i.e., physical appearance of a counterfeit and projected image of a counterfeit) had direct effects on the behavioral intentions. The conclusions of this research are helpful in improving our understanding of variables that influence consumers' purchasing counterfeit luxury products.

This study investigates the impact of heuristic factors on customers' perception of information credibility of influencers on YouTube channels, and the association between customers' perception of information credibility and brand attitude, brand credibility, and purchase intention of cosmetic products in Vietnam. A quantitative approach is employed, with a survey of 270 females who are frequent viewers of beauty content on YouTube channels. The data reliability and validity go through various statistical tests including exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). Also, structural equation modeling (SEM) is applied to test the hypotheses. The results reveal that there is a positive association between heuristic factors and the perception of information credibility. This perception of information credibility also influences positively on customers' attitudes toward the brand and brand credibility. Purchase intention is also found to be positively associated with the two latter variables. The study's main findings not only offer advice to practitioners on how to choose the right product endorsers and advertising platforms, but they also offer novel insight from the Vietnamese context that could help to extend the heuristic-systematic model and customers' buy intention behavior.
This study investigated the perceptions, attitudes, and behaviors of potential consumers toward using 3D printers to create their personal clothes. An online survey and a series of Welch's t-tests and ANOVA were conducted to investigate the differences in demographic characteristics, prior experiences in 3D printing, and levels of need for uniqueness among the sub-groups. A multiple linear regression analysis was performed to test the relationships among variables of the modified Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT). There were significant differences in gender and prior experiences regarding the UTAUT of personal 3D printing. The need for uniqueness has a positive effect on consumers' intention to use 3D printing technology for designing personal clothes and perception of the price of the 3D printer used to create individual clothes is important. Positive relationships were found between UTAUT variables as well as the use and purchase intentions. This study analyzed the potential for popularization of 3D printing technology to create fashion items and explore consumer willingness to embrace and use personal fashion designs. The results of this study are expected to assist consumers, designers, retailers and marketers, and experts in 3D printing technology by providing insight into consumer awareness and acceptance of personalized 3D-printed fashion and products.
Purpose: Despite the popularity of sales promotion as one of the key marketing tactics employed by many companies today, relatively little effort has been devoted to examining an interaction effect between promotion cues and promotion duration. Therefore, this study aims to examine how promotion cues and promotion duration will jointly affect consumers' attitudes toward promotions and purchase intentions. Research design, data, and methodology: The present study conducted an online experiment through the Qualtrics program in which a total of 141 participants were recruited from the Cloud panel members in the U.S. The experiment employed a 2(promotion cue: best-seller vs. limited edition) × 2(promotion duration: long vs. short) full factorial between-subjects design. Result: In the condition of best-selling sales promotion cue, a long promotion duration induced more positive promotion attitude and higher purchase intention, while in the condition of limited-edition sales promotion cue, the use of a short promotion duration contributed more positive promotion attitude and greater purchase intention. Conclusions: Marketers need to take the congruence between promotion cues and promotion duration into full consideration when designing effective sales promotion strategy.

The purposes of this study were to identify the sub-dimensions of consumers' attitude and types of loyalty behavior toward fashion brands, and to analyze the influence of consumers' brand attitudes on brand loyalty. A survey was conducted with the questionnaire for consumer's buying experience of fashion brand. A total of 350 questionnaires were distributed, and 341 complete responses were analyzed. Exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, path analysis, and multi-group analysis were used for data analysis. The results of this study were as follows. First, the consumers' brand attitude consisted of four sub-dimensions of affective, familiar, value-expressive, and utilitarian attitude. Second, each brand attitude significantly influenced the brand loyalty behavior(single-brand loyalty, multi-brand loyalty, and brand switching). Finally, the causal relationship between brand attitude and brand loyalty differed by consumer's variety seeking tendency.
In this age of information, companies are losing grip of their image. Perhaps this explains the reason why corporate social responsibility (CSR) has become somewhat of a buzzword among established fashion industry leaders-companies seem determined to show stakeholders that they have values, are responsible, and they are driven by more by values than the prospects of financial gain. This study assessed the effect of CSR have in the fashion industry on the corporate image, product preference, and purchase intention in China. Three hundred native residents in China participated in an online survey from 1-12th Jan 2017. The results were as follows: (1) CSR consists of five components; economic responsibility, ethical responsibility, environmental protection, consumer protection, and philanthropic responsibility. (2) Both economic and ethical responsibilities have significant positive effects on corporate image, while perceived CSR does not have significant effect on product preference or purchase intention. (3) Consumers' product preference and perceptions regarding corporate image influence their intention on making a purchase. These findings might operationally assist Korean fashion corporations to identify and address the critical aspects of CSR management which will improve their image as good corporate citizens and foster favorable attitudes toward fashion products from China. Further results and direction of future research were discussed.

This study investigates the relationship between the purchasing behavior for hair-care products and the attitude toward hair-care products by adolescents. A total of 412 middle and high school students located in Seoul and Gyunggi-do province participated in this research. SPSS 12.0 for Windows Program was utilized for statistical analysis. As a result, the hair concerns and the satisfaction of adolescents as well as their attitudes towards hair-care products were significantly affected by gender, school level, and educational experiences. Female high school students with some degree of educational experiences had a more rational and brand-oriented attitude. Students having a higher rational and brand-oriented attitude bought hair-care products in regards to the quality of the product and environmental impact. On the other hand, those having a conspicuous and fashion pursuit attitude showed an image and fashion concern purchasing behavior. Adolescents usually purchased styling and dyeing products at a cosmetic specialty store and hair-care cleaning products from a discount store. They obtained the information about hair-care products from relatives, personal experiences, and TV advertisements.
Purpose: Brand hearsay refers to information that can be acquired from advertisement, media publicity, and word-of-mouth prior to experiencing products or services of brands. Previous information about brands obtained through brand hearsay affects consumer behavior in choosing brands. Moreover, brand hearsay is an effective communication method in promoting brands to consumers. Thus, bakery franchises need to improve strengths and differentiate characteristics of their brand, thereby attracting more consumers. Therefore, this study investigates relationships the effect of brand hearsay on consumers' brand attitude and brand loyalty in the context of franchised bakery brands. Research design, data, and methodology: A research model was proposed to examine structural relationships between brand hearsay (advertising, publicity, word-of-mouth), brand attitude, and brand loyalty. An online survey was conducted to consumers who had an experience of visiting a franchise bakery. A total of 513 responses were used for data analysis. SPSS 22.0 was used for analyzing general demographics, and SmartPLS 4.0 was used to test validity and reliability of the proposed model. Result: Among attributes of brand hearsay, advertisement and word-of-mouth had positively significant effects on brand attitude, but no significant effect was found between publicity and attitude. Advertisement had a positively significant impact on brand loyalty, while publicity had a negative effect on brand loyalty opposite to hypothesis. Moreover, brand attitude had a statistically significant effect on brand loyalty. Conclusions: In the context of franchise bakeries, brand hearsay contents may change consumers' attitude toward brands but does not increase brand loyalty. Though media publicity does not affect consumers' attitude toward brands, it may decrease brand loyalty when consumers are too exposed to it. In addition, it is necessary to enhance brand attitude to increase brand loyalty of customers. This study provides bakery franchisors and franchisees information about which type of brand hearsay (e.g., advertisement, word-of-mouth, media, publicity) is effective in enhancing brand attitudes and loyalty of consumers. Further studies may include other variables (e.g., trust) in addition to attitude and loyalty, or compare findings based on brand characteristics (e.g., low-to-medium/high prices, store size).
