  • Single point attitude determination method provides an optimal attitude minimizing the Wahba loss function. However, for the insufficient number of measurement vectors, the conventional single point methods has no unique solution. Thus, we introduce the sequential method to and an optimal attitude minimizing the windowed loss function. In this paper, this function is de ned as the sum of square errors for all measurement vectors within the axed sliding window. For simple implementation, the proposed algorithm is rewritten as a recursive form. Moreover, the covariance matrix is derived and expressed as a recursive form. Finally, we apply this algorithm to the attitude determination system with three LOS measurement sensors.

  • This study identified convergent validity and discriminant validity of measurement variables by factor analysis using Spss program and tested covariance measurement model including latent variables such as the website attributes (interactivity, search and visual information of website), shopping values(utilitarian and hedonic value) and attitude toward website by AMOS program. The data were collected from a sample of 271 internet shopper of university students(male: 82, female: 189). They visited the website for apparel shopping and, after searching a casual clothing which they wanted to buy, requested to answer the questionnaire. The results were as follows: Variables that reduce validity were deleted in the several steps of factor analysis and initial measurement model testing. Final measurement model was constructed by valid variables was accepted. This measurement model will be input for testing causal research model that can explain how attributes of the website influences on consumer attitude toward the website.

  • In this paper, a new technique for attitude and heading reference system (AHRS) using low-cost MEMS sensors of the gyroscope, accelerometer, and magnetometer is addressed particularly in vibration environments. The motion of MEMS sensors interact with the scale factor and cross-coupling errors to produce random errors by the harsh environment. A new adaptive attitude estimation algorithm based on the Kalman filter is developed to overcome these undesirable side effects by analyzing windowed measurement error covariance. The key idea is that performance degradation of accelerometers, for example, due to linear vibrations can be reduced by the proposed measurement error covariance analysis. The computed error covariance is utilized to the measurement covariance of Kalman filters adaptively. Finally, the proposed approach is verified by using numerical simulations and experiments in an acceleration phase and/or vibrating environments.

  • A new technique for Attitude & Heading Reference System (AHRS) by using sequential measurement noise covariance (SMNC) is addressed in a vibration environments in this paper. In particular, a low-cost inertial measurement unit in general diverges in the acceleration phase or vibrating environments due to inherent properties of gravity and acceleration. In this paper, by considering current and prior measurements to estimate actual attitudes and headings in a local frame, the proposed technique overcomes these problems efficiently. Finally, the performance of the suggested approach is verified by numerical simulations.

  • This study researches the effectiveness of interactive TV advertising focusing on the factors of audience involvement and interaction. The study began with the effective measurement of interactive television advertisements. Interactive television advertisements have different concepts than existing television advertisements. This study mainly focuses on the characteristics of audience interaction and experiments based on the data of 78 persons for measurement. In the experiments, the characteristics were categorized according to search time, specifically the number of searched pages about interactive television advertisement. Hypothesis 1 reveals that the interaction of the audience increases when the advertising attitude, brand attitude, and purchase intentions also increase. Hypothesis 2 finds that the involvement of the audience increases when the advertising attitude, brand attitude, and purchase intentions also increase. By studying these consumer characteristics and behavior, a new method of effective measurement for interactive television advertisement is uncovered. The new method includes not only existing measurement elements of television advertisement which include attitude about advertising and brand, and customer purpose, but also the features of interactive television advertisement like customer search time. According to this research on interactive television advertisement, the interaction with and involvement of the audience are highly influential variables.

  • The inclination attitude of the Ground-Based Radar can be measured by the accelerometer due to its static operation environment, but the measurement error is generated from the angular acceleration of the accelerometer, which is created in mechanical oscillation by the dynamic environment, like the wind, gust, rotating antenna, etc. In this paper, the technique of reducing the measurement error of the attitude by the dynamic attitude is proposed and the result of the simulation and the analysis of tracking error by the attitude error are presented.

  • A Prototype reaction wheel, named the Hankuk Aviation University (HAU) reaction wheel, has been developed for KAISTSAT satellite series. Torque and force disturbances are inherent in reaction wheels, and thus the force and torque characteristics should be examined for every newly developed reaction wheel. The torque and force disturbance noises in the prototype HAU reaction wheel are measured with a torque-measuring table developed for the present study. A new measuring procedure based on a simple principle is applied for the measurements. The frequency characteristics of the torque and force noises are analyzed by examining the power spectral density. The effect of the torque noise on the attitude stability is also examined through numerical simulations with a single-axis attitude model. The noise-induced attitude error and jitter and found to be well below the specified error limits for the KAISTSAT satellite series.

  • An attitude GPS receiver with 3 antennas obtains 3-dimensional attitude using GPS carrier phase measurement INS obtains the 3 dimensional navigation solution for IMU consisting of accelerometers and gyro. Ground-alignment process for the low -cost INS cannot be performed well due to the large sensor noise. Using the standard GPS receiver, however, continuous in-flight alignment for the INS becomes possible, and consequently, the errors in IMU sensors and navigation solution can be compensated. Especially with attitude measurement from the attitude GPS receiver, the compensation of errors in gyroscope and attitude would be done respite of the vehicle´s dynamics and their error covariance would be reduced. • Due to the low output rate and time delay of vehicle's navigation results, the electro-optical tracking system(EOTS) cannot estimate accurate target positions. If an inertial measurement unit(IMU) is additionally mounted into the EOTS and inertial navigation system(INS) is constructed, the high navigation output rate can be obtained. And the time-delay can be compensated by using the augmented Kalman filter. An accurate initial attitude is required in order to have accurate navigation outputs. In this paper, an attitude determination algorithm is proposed using the augmented Kalman filter in order to compensate measurement delay of the EOTS and have accurate initial attitude. The proposed initial attitude determination algorithm consists of an augmented Kalman filter, an INS, and an integrated Kalman filter. The augmented Kalman filter compensates the time-delay of the vehicle's navigation results and the integrated Kalman filter estimates the navigation error of the INS. In order to evaluate performance of the proposed algorithm, vehicle's navigation outputs and IMU measurements were generated using sensors' model-based measurement generator and initial attitude estimation errors of the proposed algorithm and the conventional algorithm without the augmented Kalman filter were compared for the generated measurements. The evaluation results show that the proposed algorithm has better accuracy.

  • This paper proposes a novel approach of a precision attitude determination algorithm using UVF (Unit Vector Filter) measurements. The proposed method is superior to the conventional QUEST measurements based approaches because the estimation performance can be greatly enhanced by selecting brighter stars having better noise characteristics. The performance comparison with QUEST measurements is made to verify the usefulness of the proposed algorithm.
