This paper deals with the attitude determination using GPS carrier phase. The main factors on attitude reliability are accuracy, error factors and the real-time ambiguity resolution speed. Firstly, these factors are reviewed. And then, the attitude reliability is improved by applying the averaging method. Finally, the attitude determination software is verified by the experiments. The accuracy of the proposed attitude determination method is 0.013$^{\circ}$ PE in live test. This result is more accurate than the existing INS equipment.
The purpose of this article is (1) to measure the attitudes of health care consumers towards medical service, the physicians' duty to provide information and patient self-determination options, (2) to discover the their related variables. The attitude of health care consumers towards medical service reveals statistically significant corelation with age and education. Among the statistically significant independent variables it is significantly related with age in the multiple regression analysis. The attitude of health care consumers towards the physicians' duty to provide information reveals statistically significant corelation with age, education and the attitude of health care consumers towards medical service. Among these independent variables it is significantly related with the attitude of health care consumers towards medical service in the multiple regression analysis. The attitude of health care consumers towards patients' self-determination options reveals statistically significant corelation with age, the attitude of health care consumers towards medical service and the attitude of health care consumers towards the physicians' duty to provide information. Among these independent variables it is significantly related with the attitude of health care consumers towards the physicians' duty to provide information in the multiple regression analysis.

This paper presents the on-board attitude determination algorithm for LEO (Low Earth Orbit) three-axis stabilized spacecraft. Two advanced star trackers and a three-axis Inertial Reference Unit (IRU) are assumed to be attitude sensors. The gyro in the IRU provides a direct measurement of the attitude rates. However, the attitude estimation error increases with time due to the gyro drift and noise. An update filter with measurements of star trackers and/or sun sensor is designed to update these gyro drift bias and to compensate the attitude error. Kalman Filter is adapted for the on-board update filter algorithm. Simulation results will be presented to investigate the attitude pointing performance.
The sun is a useful reference direction because of its brightness relative to other astronomical objects and its relatively small apparent radius as viewed by spacecrafts near the Earth. Most satellites use solar power as a source of energy, and so need to make sure that solar panels are oriented correctly with respect to the sun. Also, some satellites have sensitive instruments that must not be exposed to direct sunlight. For all these reasons, sun sensors are important components in spacecraft attitude determination and control systems. To minimize components and structural mass, some components have multiple purposes. The solar cells will provide power and also be used as coarse sun sensors. A coarse Sun sensor is a low-cost attitude determination sensor suitable for a wide range of space missions. The sensor measures the sun angle in two orthogonal axes. The Sun sensor measures the sun angle in both azimuth and elevation. This paper presents the development of a model to determine the attitude of a small cube-shaped satellite in space relative to the sun's direction. This sensor helps small cube-shaped Pico satellites to perform accurate attitude determination without requiring additional hardware.
In this paper, an efficient attitude determination algorithm based on the Kalman Filter which combines earth/sun sensor data with gyro data in a mutually compensating manner is presented. Quaternion is used as the attitude state to save computation time and to prevent the gimbal-lock situation associated with Euler angles. Gyro data allows the use of the kinematic equation instead of space vehicle's dynamic equation which is usually based on approximation of the actual dynamics and inaccurate torque information. The gyro data are used to propagate the attitude through kinematic equation and the earth/sun sensor data are used to update the attitude and estimate the gyro bias. Simulation results for the KOMPSAT attitude determination system are presented.
This paper proposes a novel approach of a precision attitude determination algorithm using UVF (Unit Vector Filter) measurements. The proposed method is superior to the conventional QUEST measurements based approaches because the estimation performance can be greatly enhanced by selecting brighter stars having better noise characteristics. The performance comparison with QUEST measurements is made to verify the usefulness of the proposed algorithm.
In this paper an error analysis of 3-dimensional GNSS attitude determination system is given. The attitude error covariance matrix is derived and analyzed. It implies that attitude errors are affected by the baseline length and configuration, the satellites numbers and geometry, receiver measurement noises and the nominal attitude of the vehicle. By defining Euler Angle Dilution Of Precision (EADOP) which is analogous to GDOP, roll, pitch and yaw errors can be efficiently analyzed. However the expression of the attitude error is too complex to get some intuitions. Therefore with a commonly adopted assumption, new expressions for attitude error are derived. The formulas are easy to compute and represent the attitude error as a function of the nominal attitude of a vehicle, the baseline configuration and the receiver noise. Using the formula, the accuracy of the attitude can be analytically predicted without the computer simulations. Applications to some widely used configurations reveal the effectiveness of the proposed method.
GPS attitude outputs or carrier phase observables can be effectively utilized to compensate the attitude error of the strapdown inertial navigation system. However, when the integer ambiguity is not correctly resolved and/or a cycle slip occurs, an erroneous GPS output can be obtained. If the erroneous GPS output is applied to the attitude determination GPS/INS (ADGPS/INS) integrated navigation system, the performance of the system can be degraded. This paper proposes an ADGPS/INS integration system using the triple difference carrier phase observables. The proposed integration system contains a cycle slip detection algorithm, in which the inertial information is combined. Computer simulations and flight test were performed to verify effectiveness of the proposed navigation system. Results show that the proposed system gives an accurate and reliable navigation solution even when the integer ambiguity is not correctly resolved and the cycle slip occurs.

In this paper, the error investigation of a 3-dimensional GPS attitude determination system using the error covariance analysis is given. New efficient formulas for computing the Euler Angle Dilution of Precision (EADOP) are also derived. The formulas are easy to compute and represent the attitude error as a function of the nominal attitude of a vehicle, the baseline configuration and the receiver noise. Using the formula, the accuracy of the Euler angle can be analytically predicted without the use of computer simulations. Applications to some configurations reveal the effectiveness of the proposed method.
Three typer of spin-axis attitude determination program for the geosynchronous transfer orbit spacecraft are developed. Deterministic closed-from algorithm, batch least-square algorithm and stabilized Kalman filter algorithm are used for implemetation of three programs. EUROSTAR bus model from British Aerospace is used for attitude sensor modelling. Attitude determinations using three programs are performed for the simulated sensor data according to INMARSAT 2-F1 prelaunch mission analysis.
