A Study of Prevention Model the Spread of Phishing Attack for Protection the Medical Information (의료정보 보호를 위한 피싱공격 확산방지모델 연구)

  • Phishing attacks have been implemented in smarter, more advanced ways with the passage of time. Hackers use intelligent phishing attacks to take over computers and to penetrate internal networks in major organizations. So, in this paper, a model for a prevention of phishing attack spread is conceptual designed in order to protect internal users and sensitive or important information from sophisticated phishing attacks. Internal users simultaneously utilize both external web and organizational mail services. And hackers can take the both side equally as a vector. Thus, packets in each service must be monitored and stored to recognize threatening elements from both sides. The model designed in this paper extends the mail server based security structure used in conventional studies for the protection of Internet mail services accessed by intranet users. This model can build a list of phishing sites as the system checks e-mails compared to that of the method that directly intercepts accesses to phishing sites using a proxy server, so it represents no standby time for request and response processes.

  • In modern society, the development of Information and Communication Technology has given people a lot of opportunities. But on the other side cyber attack also gives enormous damage to people. Recently Korea has become the target of cyber attack. The threat of it is growing. Especially North Korea has committed hostile actions against South Korea. North Korea has recently attacked the computer networks of South Korea's important national facilities. The types of North Korea's cyber attacks include the followings. First, if we see it with the viewpoint of software, it tries to destroy or control the Internet, infects the networks with viruses, worms, Trojan Horse and Distributed Denial of Service. I suggest the following to solve the problem. First, South Korea should unify the organizations to respond to the attacks of North Korea, as North Korea has a unified organization for the cyber attack. Second, they should think about the establishment of "Cyber Terrorism Prevention Act" to systematically respond to the software attacks.

  • It is very difficult to completely block the DDoS attack, which paralyzes services by depleting resources or occupying the network bandwidth by transmitting a vast amount of traffic to the specific website or server from normal users' PCs that have been already infected by an outside attacker. In order to defense or endure the DDoS attack, we usually use various solutions such as IDS (Intrusion Detection System), IPS (Intrusion Prevention System), ITS (Intrusion Tolerance System), FW (Firewall), and the dedicated security equipment against DDoS attack. However, diverse types of security appliances cause the cost problem, besides, the full function of the equipments are not performed well owing to the unproper setting without considering connectivity among systems. In this paper, we present the effective connectivity of security equipments and countermeasure methodology against DDoS attack. In practice, it is approved by experimentation that this designed methdology is better than existing network structure in the efficiency of block and endurance. Therefore, we would like to propose the effective security control measures responding and enduring against discriminated DDoS attacks through this research.

Selection of Portland Cement for Prevention of Sulfate Attack-Part 1 Sodium Sulfate Attack (황산염침식 방지를 위한 포틀랜드시멘트의 선정-Part 1 황산나트륨 침식)

  • This paper presents a detailed experimental study on the sulfate resistance of specimens made with portland cement exposed to sulfate attack. The mortar specimens were immersed in a 5% sodium sulfate solution for 360 days and regularly monitored for visual damage, compressive strength loss and expansion. In addition, at the end of 360 days, the products of sulfate attack and the mechanism of attack were investigated through X-ray diffraction, TG&DSC and scanning electron microscopy. The test results indicated that the sulfate deterioration data was ordinary portland cement > sulfate resistance portland cement > low heat portland cement. The microstructural studies indicated that the main reaction product of deterioration of the mortar specimens was the formation of ettringite, gypsum and thaumasite due to sulfate attack. For portland cement matrices, a low heat cement matrix containing the lowest C3A and silicate ratio (C/S) was beneficient against the sulfate attack.

  • In this paper, we analyzed the characteristics of cyber attacks and major threat scenarios that could occur around intelligent building management Systems(IBS) by cyber attack security threats against cyber physics systems. Generally determined that lowering the likelihood of aggression against predictable threats would be a more realistic approach to attack response. The countermeasures against this need to be applied to multi-layered defense systems, and three alternatives were proposed: preliminary cyber safety diagnosis for protection targets and the establishment of mobile security control systems.

  • 최근 네트워크 취약점 검색 방법을 이용한 침입 공격이 늘어나는 추세이며 이런 공격에 대하여 적절하게 실시간 탐지 및 대응 처리하는 침입방지시스템(IPS: Intrusion Prevention System)에 대한 연구가 지속적으로 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 시스템에 허락을 얻지 않은 서비스 거부 공격(Denial of Service Attack) 기술 중 TCP의 신뢰성 및 연결 지향적 전송서비스로 종단간에 이루어지는 3-Way Handshake를 이용한 Syn Flooding Attack에 대하여 침입시도패킷 정보를 수집, 분석하고 퍼지인식도(FCM : Fuzzy Cognitive Maps)를 이용한 침입시도여부를 결정하는 네트워크 기반의 실시간 탐지 모델(Network based Real Time Scan Detection Model)을 제안한다.

A Survey on the Detection of SQL Injection Attacks and Their Countermeasures

  • The Structured Query Language (SQL) Injection continues to be one of greatest security risks in the world according to the Open Web Application Security Project's (OWASP) [1] Top 10 Security vulnerabilities 2013. The ease of exploitability and severe impact puts this attack at the top. As the countermeasures become more sophisticated, SOL Injection Attacks also continue to evolve, thus thwarting the attempt to eliminate this attack completely. The vulnerable data is a source of worry for government and financial institutions. In this paper, a detailed survey of different types of SQL Injection and proposed methods and theories are presented, along with various tools and their efficiency in intercepting and preventing SQL attacks.

  • In this paper, we describe the system which can protect the major information from keyboard-hacking. These days the securing information matters for pc-users are becoming more important as the internet business grows rapidly, and the ubiquitous computing environment is open for everyone. Therefore, the keyboard-inputting information is necessary to be protected properly against the malicious attack. In this paper, we propose the keyboard-hacking prevention system using a Java Card, and show the conveniency and efficiency in the results.

  • When DDoS attack is achieved, malicious host discovering is more difficult on wireless network than existing wired network environment. Specially, because wireless network is weak on wireless user authentication attack and packet spoofing attack, advanced technology should be studied in reply. Integrated Access Device (IAD) that support VoIP communication facility etc with wireless routing function recently is developed and is distributed widely. IAD is alternating facility that is offered in existent AP. Therefore, advanced traffic classification function and real time attack detection function should be offered in IAD on wireless network environment. System that is presented in this research collects client information of wireless network that connect to IAD using AirSensor. And proposed mechanism also offers function that collects the wireless client's attack packet to monitoring its legality. Also the proposed mechanism classifies and detect the attack packet with W-TMS system that was received to IAD. As a result, it was possible for us to use IAD on wireless network service stably.

Exchange new security rule and packet filtering for switch type implementation through dynamic reset memory by real time, and deal with a packet. The attack detection about DDoS, SQL Stammer, Bug bear, Opeserv worm etc. of the 2.5 Gbs which was an attack of a hacker consisted in network performance experiment by real time. Packet by attacks of a hacker was cut off, and ensured the normal inside and external network resources besides the packets which were normal by the results of active renewal.
