We have proposed an Object-linked Broadcasting Service that displays various data related to the object onscreen. In thls paper, we describe the structure of the Object-linked Broadcasting System that will enable our proposal to be realized, and report new techniques that we have developed to create the system. We have carried out the experiment to confirm the system performance as well as execution of each technology assembling the system. We have confirmed that the performance of the system we developed satisfies the proposed specification based on user requirements and current technology.
In this study, the graphic simulation system of multi joint manipulator is developed to analyze and optimize the remote handling processes for the spent fuel assembly. This system consists of a 3-D graphical modeling system, a device assembling system, and a motion simulation system. To analyze and optimize the processes involved in multi-joint manipulator operation such as NFBC transportation process and bottom nozzle removal process, the virtual work place is implemented using a computer graphic technology. This virtual workcell is exactly same as that of the real environment. This graphic simulation system of the multi-joint manipulator can be effectively used for designing the main processes and maintenance processes of the spent fuel management.
This paper describes a machine-vision-based prototype system for automatically feeding engine-mount parts to a swaging machine which assembles engine mounts. The system developed consists of a robot, a feeding device with two cylinders and two photo sensors, and a machine vision system. The machine vision system recognizes the type of different parts being fed from the feeding device and estimates the angular difference between the inner-hole center of the part and the point predetermined for assembling. The robot then picks up each part and rotated it through the estimated angle such that the parts are well assembled together as specified. An algorithm has been developed to recognize different part types and estimate the angular difference. The test results obtained for a set of real specimens indicate that the algorithm performs well enough to be applied to prototype system.
Grinding machine, one of the precision machine tool, requires high accuracy in spindle system. But, recent Inspection and Test reports by KIMM shows high inferio¬rity ratio in home-made grinding machines and points out that this is mainly due to the lack of design ability and assembling technique of spindle system. In this paper, therefore, static stiffness, dynamic characteristics, thermal defor¬mation and error motion of spindle system were studied. With these results, we presented the general data to design and assemble the spindle system. Test of spindle system modified by this study showed that several factors affecting machining accuracy were improved largely.
This paper presents the main method to analyze the dynamic characteristics of power transmission system using the multi-body dynamics, which is based on the concept of subsystem equation, subsystem assembling, and the self-determination technique for the system degree of freedom. We can model the mechanical components of power transmission system easily with the advantage of multi-body dynamics. Based on the theory, a dynamic simulation program was developed to analyze system performances, transient phenomena, and other dynamic problems. The driving performance of automatic transmission was simulated with using the multi-body dynamics and Newtonian method, and the validity of program was proved by comparing the two kinds of result.
With wide spending the Internet and Web techniques, we have recognized the necessary and commercial-value of electronic commerce system. Electronic commerce(EC) means the whole economical activities based on electronic medium. Both scalability and flexibility are fundamental attributes of EC system and interoperability among heterogeneous systems must be supported. So, for successful a developing of EC system, it is necessary to apply the CBD (Component Based Development) based on component assembling and customization. In this paper, we propose the method for identifying and specifying the components to construct the component based electronic commerce system. To do, we define the component/system architecture specified on EC domain, identified and classified the EC components with hierarchy relationship. Also, we suggested the specification notation and some examples.
In this paper, a microassembly system based on hybrid manipulation schemes is proposed and applied to the assembly of a photonic component. In order to achieve both high precision and dexterity in microassembly, we propose a hybrid microassembly system with sensory feedbacks of vision and force. This system consists of the distributed 6-DOF micromanipulation units, the stereo microscope, and haptic interface for the force feedback-based microassembly. A hybrid assembly method, which combines the vision-based microassembly and the scaled teleoperated microassembly with force feedback, is proposed. The feasibility of the proposed method is investigated via experimental studies for assembling micro opto-electrical components. Experimental results show that the hybrid microassembly system is feasible for applications to the assembly of photonic components in the commercial market with better flexibility and efficiency.
The acid-labile subunit (ALS) associates with insulin-like growth factor (IGF)-I or -II and IGF binding protein-3 (IGFBP-3) to form a 150-kD complex in the circulation. This complex is thought to regulate the serum IGFs by restricting them in the vascular system and promotes their endocrine actions. Little is known about how ALS binds to IGFBP3, which connects the IGFs to ALS. Xenopus oocyte was utilized to study the function of ALS in assembling IGFs into the ternary complexes. Xenopus oocyte was shown to correctly translate in vitro transcribed mRNAs of ALS and IGFBP3. IGFBP3 and ALS mRNAs were injected in mixture and their products were immunoprecipitated by antisera against ALS and IGFBP3. Contrary to the traditional reports that ALS interacts only with IGF-bound IGFBP3, this study shows that ALS is capable of forming a binary complex with IGFBP3 in the absence of IGF. When cross-linked by disuccinimidyl substrate, band representing ALS-IGFBP3 complex was evident on the PAGE. IGFBP3 movement was monitored according to the distribution between the hemispheres. Following a localized translation in the vegetal hemisphere, IGFBP3 was shown to remain in the vegetal half in the presence of ALS. Different from wild type IGFBP3, however, mutant IGFBP3 freely diffused into the animal half despite the presence of ALS. Taken together, this study suggests that ALS may play an important role in sequestering IGFBP3 polypeptides via the intermolecular aggregation. Studies using this heterologous model will lead to a better understanding of the IGFBP3 and ALS assembling into the ternary structure and circulating IGF system.

In order to study the anti-seismic performance of full light-weight concrete utility tunnel, EL Centro seismic waves were input, and the seismic simulation shaking table test was carried out on the four utility tunnel models. The dynamic characteristics and acceleration response of the system consisting of the utility tunnel structure and the soil, and the interlayer displacement response of the structure were analyzed. The influence law of different construction methods, haunch heights and concrete types on the dynamic response of the utility tunnel structure was studied. And the experimental results were compared with the finite element calculation results. The results indicated that with the increase of seismic wave intensity, the natural frequency of the utility tunnel structure system decreased and the damping ratio increased. The assembling composite construction method could be equivalent to replace the integral cast-in-place construction method. The haunch height of the assembling composite full light-weight concrete utility tunnel was increased from 30 mm to 50 mm to enhance the anti-seismic performance during large earthquakes. The anti-seismic performance of the full light-weight concrete utility tunnel was better than that of the ordinary concrete utility tunnel. The peak acceleration of the structure was reduced by 21.8% and the interlayer displacement was reduced by 45.8% by using full light-weight concrete. The finite element simulation results were in good agreement with the experimental results, which could provide reference for practical engineering design and application.
The errors can cause the serious loss of the performance of a precision machine system. In this paper, we proposed the method of allocating the alignment tolerances of the parts and applied this method to get the optimal tolerances of a Confocal Scanning Microscope. In general, tight tolerances are required to maintain the performance of a system, but a high cost of manufacturing and assembling is required to preserve the tight tolerances. The purpose of allocating the optimal tolerances is minimizing the cost while keeping the high performance of the system. In the optimal problem, we maximized the tolerances while maintaining the performance requirements. The Monte Carlo Method, a statistical simulation method, is used in tolerance analysis. Alignment tolerances of optical components of the confocal scanning microscope are optimized to minimize the cost and to maintain the observation performance of the microscope. We can also apply this method to the other precision machine system.
