Recently, Korean society is increaseing "1 person family" phenomenon, which is influenced by changing of young peoples' value, aging society and social economic problems. Increase of single households is a result of complex economic, cultural and social factors. It is because as the individual's financial independence increases due to elevated income and education level, the age of marriage is going up and the individualism, which values the individual's value rather than custom, is spreading. Therefore, this new phenomenon will be impact to between social, economic value structure and living space. An increase with small furnitures are also increasing of R&D and marketing plans for 1 person family. Currently, 1 person family is bigger than last decade and that is requiring more suitable and multi-functional furniture for them. However, in Korea furniture companies are more optimization to traditional family size. Thus, this research explore about developing cheap price sofa bed, which is using at narrow area and small place.

This study focuses a comparison of Korean and Western Furniture culture on traditional cupboard terms to make the people understand and distinguish the form of the various Korean and Western cupboard made by the craftsmanship before the industrial Revolution. As the result, the Korean cupboard shows Kangwon Chanjang/cupboard, Gyeonggi Chanjang/cupboard by the local name, dwiju Chanjang/cupboard, three-tiered Chanjang/cupboard, four-tired Chanjang/cupboard, two-tiered Chantak/cupboard, three-tiered Chantak/cupboard in the terms of the form. Korean cupboards are called Chanjang and Chantak. The Western cupboard shows cupboard, buffet, livery cupboard, cupboard-bed, corner cupboard, court cupboard, turkey-breast cupboard, pot cupboard, press, press cupboard, hall cupboard, sideboard, hunt sideboard, huntboard, cabinet, corner cabinet, writing cabinet, art cabinet, china cabinet, dresser, safe, meat safe, wall closet, wall cupboard, hanging corner cupboard, food cupboard in the terms of the various forms.

This was a systemized bed consisted of storage units, a desk, a drawer, a sofa and a shelf. This bed system was not designed only for a certain age group of children but also for various age groups of children, since each parts of the bed can be sued separately. Separation of parts of the bed allowed children to decorate their own living space and gives them a chance to express their own feeling and thoughts by layout of parts. Design adopts the beauty of nature such as smoothly curve lines which are perfectly fit for the children's living space. The moving sofa located under the bed and the book shelf lead children to establish a pattern of reading habit. The draw and storage units offer nice space for keeping children's goods.

The main objective of this study is to explore methods to generate and develop its design concept of the discord generated due to this by deeply considering the existing design concept of a new town or site planning. In particular, in case when designers participate in a process of planning new town, this study aims to reveal methods generating design strategy and basic ideas for designing street furniture through cases study of projects by understanding and analyzing concept of overall space planning and by developing direction for deployment of specific designs. First, further concepts of the space planning, which decides overall flow of visual design concept of street furniture, is extracted through analyses of basic concepts of space design with doing Focused Group Interview among designers and planners. Then, by applying 3V Design Process, alternatives of the concept generation are suggested through methods of storytelling and visual language under the two approach methods of verbalization stage and visualization stage. Also its process were explored through suggestion of designs by developing each idea of the respective concepts into specific design vocabulary.

This study was investigated to sensible characteristic and physical characteristic to estimate value of the craft for Pinus densiflora and Pinus densiflora for. erecta Uyeki wood. The sensual characteristics of wood are evaluated by wood figure, wood grain, odor, and the physical characteristics by weathering, abrasion, surface roughness and hardness. The wood figure of these species were observed at flat grain in the radial section and edge grain in the tangential section. Also, burl's figure was observed in Burl of Pinus densiflora wood. Pinus densiflora for. erecta Uyeki wood had volatile aroma compounds such as Camphene, Thymyl ether, ${\alpha}$-Longipinene, etc. Pinus densiflora wood had volatile aroma compounds such as ${\alpha}$-Longipinene, (+)-Cedrol, etc. The moisture soption, abrasion, hardness and roughness were very different between the two species.

21C modern society is a time when enough design to dominate the world, a unique design is required new in all aspects. In addition, there is a religion to the best of Zen art. In our cultural heritage with a ethnicity unique unparalleled in the world, and a new recognition of traditional culture and identity of its own in our country, lattice door flower temple the beauty of Korea in the way you tell, it was modernized by interpreting a new one to utilize as a design element of a wood lattice door flower temple. In this study, to re-appear in openwork having regard to the symbolism of pattern and shape of the lattice door flower temple molding properties were highlighted, change the part of the motif, repeated the curve geometric has been designed to simplify as. As a result, it is possible to present the possibility of a design element that can design a traditional Korean is reinterpreted Modern thereby simplify the repetitive element of the related art, for a new aesthetic changes unique. Design Development of wood with a Buddhist temple flower lattice modern re-interpretation, it suits while a strong indication Korea imagery and expressed a variety of needs and personality to the design elements that are competitive in the world the cage, and design of wood, various studies competitive on to be applied to each field is required.

In this paper, the research is carried out about a couch, a horse foot chair, a horse foot table, and a multi-leg table among the furniture of Koguryeo. The couch had been widely used from the Chinese Han Dynasty, and the couch of the Koguryeo was influenced by that of Han. The couch of Koguryeo was a piece of furniture which was used not only for sitting purposes but also for symbolizing status ranking. The horse foot chair is a chair whose leg is finished with a horse foot shape, and is a relic which shows an aspect of the art exchange between the East and the West, appearing in Egypt and Mesopotamia, having influence on chairs of Greece and Rome, and being introduced into Koguryeo and Japan by way of the countries bordering on Western China and China. The horse foot chair was used by the royalty, the aristocracy and the priesthood, and use of the chair at that time reflects the effect of Buddhist culture. The horse foot table is a piece of furniture whose leg is finished with a horse foot shape as in the horse foot chair, and there are many instances that it is used together with the horse foot chair. The multi-leg table is configured to have a square plate, plural legs and footstool, and is used by the upper classes, being also influenced by China. In this paper, the study about the furniture of Koguryeo, which has not been closely considered up to now, is performed, and is important as a study about origin of Korean furniture. In the future, the research about succession of the furniture of Koguryo to that of Koryeo period should be carried out, and much more research material be investigated.

Color is an important subject of interest for cognitive developmental stages of children and it also correlate to emotional and physical development. Children can acquire concept of color by 'play'. Color play can be experienced to children through diversity activity and theses activities contain creative craft art activity. The color-paly with art activity for kids can be called 'kids color-design play'. Recently, indoor playgrounds are rapidly grow-up because parent's concern degree that about play activity get higher. The indoor playground being enlargement and it contains various paly contents. Color-design play is also enacted animatedly in kids indoor playground. The great part of color-design plays are enacted through program that needs teaching. On the other hand, color-design play facility that children can play spontaneously is not composed sufficiently. Therefore this study aim at design proposal of 'Kids color-design playground apparatus' in indoor playground.

This study examined concepts and expressional relations with Rene Maggritte works that had influence upon design expressions of Shiro Kuramata who brought name of things to the extreme to give new values and functions at the end. Rene Maggritte who was a representative surrealism painter in Belgium had a lot of influence and inspiration on the art world including pop art and conceptual art in the middle of the 20th century and so many modern artists. Rene Maggritte unreasonably placed object of ordinary things that people could know to combine them and to make people's thought be free from ideas. Shiro Kuramata worked at wide areas including the space, lighting, furniture and products to be well known as a designer who could create concepts. Shiro Kuramata designed indoor space and furniture not by making forms but by being free from customary names and concepts of things to examine substance and to discover unlimited possibility and to create new visual functions. And, such a thing made people be free from names and concepts that they cognized for a long time, and it brought freedom to things. This study investigated correlations of work concepts and expressions of Rene Maggritte and Shiro Kuramata to bring new inspiration and expansion to people's thought methods and design methodology regarding concepts of things.
