A Study on Correlation between Landscape Image of Korean Palace and Trees' View Blockage of Buildings around It (고궁의 경관이미지와 수목에 의한 배경경관 차폐의 상관관계 연구 -덕수궁 내 전통건축물 주변 수목의 궁 밖 현대건축물에 대한 경관차폐를 중심으로-)

  • Many Korean palaces such as Deoksu Palace and Kyungbok Palace are located in downtown Seoul. Modern high-rise buildings around the palace have been the background scenery of traditional architecture in it. In this case, such landscapes mixed with traditional images and contemporary images can give a negative impression to visitors watching from inside the palace. In this study, we analysed the correlation between landscape image of Deoksu Palace and trees' view blockage of buildings around it with three independent variables. The first variable is completely blocked view of buildings around the palace by the trees. The second variable is half-blocked view of buildings around the palace by the trees. The third variable is the view of buildings around the palace that is not blocked by the trees. The analysis showed that there were some significant correlations between landscape image of Deoksu Palace and trees' view blockage of buildings around it. It also showed that the view blockage ratio by the trees has positive correlation with improvement of landscape image of the palace.

  • To preserve scenic-view of Gwanak Mountain from the urban development, the viewshed component ratio and the scenic-view preference are investigated and analyzed by selecting view points at Nangokro. After 16 candidate view points are selected from the site, sight component ratio is measured through visual structure analysis and preference are measured by using the Likert scale. In addition, factor analysis, and regression analysis were conducted to examine the relationship between influencing factors and preference. As a result of the regression analysis of the 9 factors to influence the scenic-view preference, two factors such as degree of natural landscape and degree of arrangement around the site are chosen to influence the scenic-view preference. Through the preference factor analysis, two preference factors are selected as follows; 1) The factor of the landscape formation - Existence and nonexistence of the scenic-view conservation, degree of the landscape opening, and degree of natural landscape, degree of the landscape originality, and degree of the landscape sequence, degree of the landscape intimacy 2) The factor surrounding the landscape - Degree of arrangement around the site, degree of the landscape complexity, and atmosphere around the site.

  • 최근 자동차의 수요의 증가로 인해 사용자의 편의 및 안전에 대한 요구와 의존도가 증가함에 따라 운전자를 위한 보조 시스템이 구축되고 있다. 현재 운전자를 위한 보조 시스템으로 AVM(Around View Monitoring) 기술이 개발 되었다. 본 논문에서는 운전자가 차량외부의 상황을 실시간으로 인식할 수 있게 하는 AVM(Around View Monitoring) 기술을 조금 더 실용적이고 편의성 있게 사용할 수 있도록 하는 사용자 인터페이스를 제안한다. 이를 위해 영상이 보이는 화면에 다양한 버튼들을 구현하였으며, 화면상에 보이는 버튼에 따라서 4채널 영상과 4채널 영상을 하나로 정합되어 보여주는 영상 그리고 원본영상과 왜곡영상을 따로 보여주는 다양한 인터페이스를 버튼 식으로 구현하여 운전자가 원하는 영상을 상황에 맞게 제공한다.

Analysis of the flow field around an automobile with Chimera grid technique (Chimera 격자기법을 이용한 자동차 주위의 유동장 해석)

  • This paper describes the analysis of flow field around an automobile. The governing equations of the 3-D unsteady incompressible Navier-Stokes equations are solved by the iterative time marching scheme. The Chimera grid technique has been applied to efficiently simulate the flow around the side-view mirror. To validate the capability of simulating the flow around a ground vehicle, the flows around the Ahmed body with 12.5$^{\circ}$ and 30$^{\circ}$ of slant angles are simulated and good agreements with experiment and other numerical results are achieved. To validate Chimera grid technique, the flow field around a cylinder was also calculated. The computed results are also well agreed with other numerical results and experiment. After code validations, the flow phenomena around the ground vehicle are evidently shown. The flow around the side-view mirror is also well simulated using the Chimera grid technique.

  • Currently, car black box, and CCTV products, such as image processing are prevalent on the market giving convenience to users.In particular, the black box of the driver driving a vehicle accident that occurred at the time to help identify the cause of the accident is gaining. Black box, the front or rear of the vehicle can check the image only. Because of the angle of view of the driver's vision or the black box can not determine a non-scene. In order to solve this problem by a more advanced system, the black box AVM (Around-View Monitoring) systems have been developed. AVM system to the vehicle's top-view images obtained before and after, left and right of the image, ie, $360^{\circ}$ image of the vehicle can be secured. AVM system must be installed on the vehicle, a desktop that you can acquire images Cling conditions. In this paper, we propose an Android-based tablet using the AVM system of the vehicle can achieve a $360^{\circ}$ image you want to design the system.

  • This study focused on the changes of residential area around the linear park. The goal of this study is to determine the value of linear park at the view of residents and discover the interaction between the linear park and the residential area around it. To investigate this goal, the researcher chose case sites, the regenerated linear park and the uncovered stream park. This study analyzed the site around the linear parks with four points of view, the organization of urban Fabric, architecture, the economic value of the site and the behavior of residents. This research adopted several research methodologies like aerial photograph analysis, road-view analysis, paper research, and field study, observation, and expert interview to approach as both quantitative and qualitative analysis. With that variation characteristic, the researcher determines the influence of linear park through the residential area around them. As the result, linear park gives positive effects of running sustainable residential area around them and acting as the pivot for the residential area. Also for the future, designers must consider this interactive relation between the linear park and residential area with the wide point of view.

  • Around-View, the image processing device which increases the comfort of drivers is sold in the market. This system prevents accidents in advance while driving or parking. The accidents are caused with their inexperienced driving or bad visibility. It is developed for driving convenience. However, it dosen't spread to the driver widely due to the problem of the high installation costs and complex installation process. First, expensive equipment second, difficult development environment and third, inconvenient installation procedure. So the drivers don't have many opportunities to use this system and dare to develop this system. I think if one of the problems can be solved, users might be able to access this system at low cost. In this paper, the AVM(Around-View Monitoring) minimizes two of them. Expensive equipment, inconvenient installation. The costly problems were solved by using low-cost USB device and rear cameras. In view of inconvenient installation process, the new system was designed to make it easy for people to install it. Through this, it can ease the burden of consumers.

  • Rear view cameras which help to park or to drive backward has been distributed through after-market, but it is inconvenient because they do not provide views of left, right and front sides. Around view monitoring(AVM) systems which can monitor around vehicle at a glance have been developed and equipped by vehicle vendor but systematic studies on these systems is lack. While the AVM system which equipped on Infiniti cars of Nissan is adequate to monitor around vehicle at a glance, it has disadvantages that additional cabling because of using analog cables is required and image quality is lowered due to EMI/EMC intervention. The around view monitoring system implemented in this paper has advantages that there are no EMI/EMC problems because of using optical network and that cabling is simple because of using plug-and-play ways. Additionally, an advantage of MOST150 network is that camera nodes and display node can be easily installed in the form of plug-and-play.

  • The image processing device sold by the market, which increases the comfort of the driver Around-View of the camera. This system while driving or when parked, came about to prevent accidents caused by driver error or disable the visibility of the system. However, it did not spread widely to the driver due to the problem of the high installation cost and complex installation process from the system for easy operation. Due to problems such as first, expensive equipment and second, the development environment is difficult and third, inconvenient installation process, it is not out because of the prohibitively high cost burden and difficult development environment, programmers and operators. I think if this is solved even one problem of this system would be able to access the user are a little more affordable. In this paper The AVM(Around-View Monitoring) system is proposed, the two problems that minimize expensive equipment, the installation process is inconvenient problem of the three aforementioned systems. Solved the problem caused by a lot of the cost by using low-cost USB device, and a rear camera. Was developed to facilitate the installation is possible by considering the inconvenient installation. Reducing the price paid by consumers because of the system.

A study on the performance verification of an around-view sonar and an excavation depth measurement sonar application to ROV for track-based heavy works (트랙기반 중작업용 ROV에 적용 가능한 어라운드 뷰 소나 및 굴착깊이 측정 소나 성능 검증에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, the performance verification of an around-view sonar and an excavation depth measuring sonar applicable to track-based ROVs (Remotely Operated underwater Vehicles) for heavy duty work is studied. For the performance verification, an experiment is carried out in a water tank and at sea by attaching the around-view sonar and the excavation depth measuring sonar for a heavy work ROV. In the case of the around-view sonar, image sonars are mounted on ROV in four directions (front, back, left and right) and in the case of the excavation depth measuring sonar, the same kind of MBES (Multi Beam Echo Sounder) is mounted on the front of the ROV. The result of an operation test of the ROV equipped with these sonars shows that the sonar systems are rarely affected by high turbidity due to sedimentation during the operation. In the case of the around-view sonar, it is possible to see rock formation, gravel and sandbank 30 m ahead of the ROV. It is confirmed that the excavation depth can be measured after the ROV has performed the excavation. This experiment demonstrates that the ROV can improve the efficiency of the work by utilizing the around-view sonar and the excavation depth measuring sonar.
