Design of Reconfigurable Desk Based on Pin Art Technology (핀 아트 기술을 활용한 재구성 가능한 데스크 설계)

  • To increase the efficiency of task on the desk, this paper proposes a reconfigurable desk. The proposed reconfigurable desk is based on the Pin Art technology. For the design of the proposed desk, the upper surface of the desk is divided into small units, and then the user easily controls the height of the divided pieces to make desk a desired shape by using the proposed user interface. The Arduino module controls the hardware and the user interface is configured by using Android applications, making it easy for anyone to use. Through extensive experiments, the proposed system shows that various types of deformations are possible and thus the utilization is very high by mounting diverse devices.

  • 본 논문에서는 차량 내 이산화탄소 농도 측정을 통해 운전자의 졸음운전을 예방하는 모델을 제안한다. 제안된 모델은 이산화탄소 농도 측정 센서를 연결한 아두이노 보드를 차량 내부에 부착하여 측정된 수치를 실시간으로 분석한다. 분석된 수치를 운전자, 탑승자에게 전송하여 자발적으로 졸음 방지를 유도한다. 또한 설정된 수치 이상인 경우 차량 내 사용자와 차량 외 보호자에게도 경고 메시지를 전송하고 차량 내 공기 상태를 알린다. 추후 차량 내 환경과 운전 시간, 탑승자 정보 등을 활용하여 전송된 수치를 분석하면 운전 환경 개선을 위한 방안을 모색할 수 있다.

  • 코딩교육의 의무화로 인해 조기 교육을 위한 코딩교육 프로그램이 성행한다. 하지만 이는 시각 중심적이라 실제 프로그래밍 언어를 접할 때 어려움이 많다. 이를 최소화하기 위해 만든 Python 블록 코딩 웹은 JavaScript, Arduino, Python, Web을 이용하여 시각중심의 블록을 드래그하여 실제 쓰이는 프로그래밍 언어로 바꿔주는 시스템을 개발하였다.

  • 전 세계적으로 미세먼지는 심각한 사회문제이다. 우리나라 또한 중국의 미세먼지와 디젤 자동차 급증 등에 의한 오염으로 인하여 호흡 시 들이마시는 공기의 질이 많이 나빠지고 있는 추세이다. 이로 인해 집 안의 환기를 위해 창문을 열거나 외출 후 귀가했을 때 옷에 붙은 미세먼지들에 의하여 집 안에 미세먼지가 쌓이게 됨으로써 건강을 위협할 수 있는 요소가 된다. 이러한 문제점들을 해결하고자 청소뿐만 아니라 공기청정 기능도 수행하게 되는 효율적인 측면을 가진 공기청정 기능을 탑재한 로봇청소기를 개발하였다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 로봇청소기의 초음파 센서와 미세먼지를 사용하여 자동으로 로봇청소기와 공기청정 기능을 탑재한 로봇청소기에 대한 연구 결과에 관해 기술하였다.

An Interactive Physical Computing Based LED CUBE with Infrared Ray Distance Sensor

  • This paper introduces a LED CUBE tool interacting with a distance sensor to solve real life problems in the physical computing field. Students can experience interactive education and intuitively understand the cubic operations with 3-dimensional animations obtained from a $3{\times}3{\times}3$ LED CUBE and a distance sensor connecting to Arduino. If the proposed LED CUBE is applied in physical computing section of the Information curriculum of middle school, students are expected to improve their computational thinking ability to solve problems in real life and other areas creatively and efficiently.

  • In this study, the RFID card is designed to be developed so that when users attempt to enter or exit, the system is switched on and the system switched off if the RFID card is not placed. For this study, circuit diagrams were designed and completed. We also programmed into Arduino to send information to Windows applications. It was also programmed to create a Windows application using C# and used to receive information from Arduino. The future research projects will be developed into a system applicable to real buildings.

  • With the advancement of the 4th Industrial Revolution(4IR), microprocessor education is on the rise due to the explosive demand for IoT (Internet of Things) and M2M devices. However, it is difficult due to many constraints to efficiently transfer training on hardware assembly and implementation through online training. Thus, we developed a cost-effective online content based on Arduino simulations, Atmel Studio 7, and WinAvr simulator that are required for the utilization of AVR 128. These Camtasia videos overcame the limitation of theory focused on-line education by visually introducing the practical utilization of an actual AVR 128. In this paper, the proposed educational content was provided to university students, and the results of student feedback show that it has a strong effect.

Analysis of Influencing Factors of Learning Engagement and Teaching Presence in Online Programming Classes

  • This study analyzed the influencing factors of learning engagement and teaching presence in online programming practice classes. The subjects of this study were students enrolled in an industrial specialized high school, who practiced creating Arduino circuits and programming using a web-based virtual practice tool called Tinkercad. This research adopted a tool that can measure task value, learning flow, learning engagement, and teaching presence. Based on this analysis, learning flow had a mediating effect between task value and online learning engagement, as well as between task value and teaching presence. Increasing learning engagement in online classes requires sensitizing the learners about task value, using hands-on platforms available online, and expanding interaction with instructors to increase learning flow of students. Furthermore, using virtual hands-on tools in online programming classes is relevant in increasing learning engagement. Future research tasks include: confirming the effectiveness of online learning engagement and teaching presence through pre- and post-tests, and conducting research on various practical subjects.

  • Recent impact of 4th industrial revolution is increasing usage of IoT technology along with smartphones and tablet PC. However blue light emitted from electronic devices such as smartphones and tablet PC causes detrimental change to human bodies. As the controversy over the harmfulness of blue light became known through the media and various communities, related markets were formed, and various blocking films, software, and vision protection monitors were released. In this paper focuses on utilizing IoT technology to protect human organizations from blue light. It presents anti-blue light system which prevents excessive exposure to blue light through Arduino module such as ultrasound, piezo buzzer and blue light measurement module.

The Development of a Wearable Prototype to Measure Clothing Pressure through Sensor Calibration Procedure

  • Clothing pressure is considered the essential factor affecting the comfort of clothing, so it is crucial that it is measured precisely. The purpose of this study is to construct a prototype using the Adafruit Flora as the Arduino system, which can be used as a wearable framework for easy, low-cost, and precise clothing pressure measurement. The study also aims to determine how best to conduct the procedure of sensor calibration. To optimize the accuracy of the sensors, the calibration procedure was implemented using mathematical methods that combined polynomial and exponential regression in a hybrid approach. The prototype can easily measure clothing pressure even during active movements, as seen in the detection of stable signals. In addition, since the system was specifically proposed as a wearable patch that can be easily attached and removed as necessary, it can also be used to standardize the value of clothing pressure in each movement.
