  • There are quite a number of business processes in the urban regeneration project. Managers and participants who involved in the project make and use information for the best way to perform in the particular business process. The information can be also reused and produced for data at the next stage. Accordingly, the information sometimes goes out of existence and work data up into new information when the urban regeneration project has been accomplished. But in that case some of changes happen occasionally, the business for urban regeneration has suffered a loss of profit and time as result of confusions about decisions and inappropriate action. For that reason, the information should be analyzed to achieve its aim at the business process under the influence of changes. Then, even though detail processes and management method change, the Core Information, which are important factors for accomplishing the project, help that the project can be operated to solve the problem about confusion and loss of the business. In conclusion, the Core Information is main effective factors for successful urban regeneration projects on the change management. The purpose of this study is to research the information according to the Information-flow and changes, and to find out the influence factors and the Core Information to manage efficiently at the process of urban regeneration projects.

  • This study aims to develop a cultural heritage curriculum for climate change and present educational directions for cultural heritage and climate change impact in the future. In this study, the role and necessity of cultural heritage education for climate change were first discussed based on previous studies on climate change and cultural heritage. Next, the current status analysis of educational cases related to climate change and cultural heritage was conducted based on educational manuals, curriculum, and heritage competency systems associated with climate change. Finally, we propose a plan to develop a curriculum to cope with climate change and cultural heritage for graduate students in higher education institutions based on the four components of developing a curriculum. In future studies, we intend to propose guidelines for designing educational manuals and specific curricula for each educational target to cope with the climate change of cultural heritage presented in this study.

  • Most of the studies on Yangban Houses dealt with the existing houses which were constructed, in most part, after the 17th century. Therefore it is important to identify the actual process of change from before the 17th century which is critical in understanding the history of residential architecture of the Chosun Dynasty. This study aims to clarify that the architectural condition after the 17th century is the result of the major change in sound the 16th century, and the prime motivation of that change was initiated by the family ritual which become very important social and idealogical base of the change. To be able to practice the family ritual, the spatial arrangement had to be changed, Man's quarter had to be enlarged, which a stone-floored room was added on one side of the centural wooden floor of the lady's quarter. Also, family shrine was erected on eastern side of the site. Thus, unless the major change in the 16th century, which was caused by the practice of family ritual, is understood, the study of historical background of Yangban houses can never be complete.

  • With the change in Earth's ecosystems due to climate change, a number of studies on zero energy buildings have been conducted globally, due to the depletion of energy and resources. However, most studies have concentrated on residential and office buildings and the performance predictions were made only in the design phase. This study verifies the zero-energy performance in the operational phase by acquiring and analyzing data after the completion of an exhibition building. This building was a retention building, in which a renewable energy system using a passive house building envelope, solar photovoltaic power generation panels, as well as fuel cells were adopted to minimize the maintenance cost for future energy-zero operations. In addition, the energy performance of the building was predicted through prior simulations, and this was compared with actual measured values to evaluate the energy performance of the actual operational records quantitatively. The energy independence rate during the measurement period of the target building was 123% and the carbon reduction due to the energy production on the site was 408.07 tons. The carbon reduction exceeded the carbon emission (331.5 tons), which verified the carbon zero and zero-energy performances.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest policies to improve the price escalation system in a construction contract through a Policy Delphi technique. The Delphi, including two times questionnaires and a group discussion, was conducted by joining 14 experts. Also, the escalation provisions of various countries were examined. Results of the Delphi showed that the minimum fluctuation rate for price escalation was desirable at a level of 3%. To compute the fluctuation rate, calculating the price fluctuation of overall articles was more desirable than using price indices. A bidding date was more reasonable as the initial date of change in price. Losses caused by price change should be shared between contractor and owner; therefore a deduction rate should be introduced in price escalation. Meanwhile, overhead and profit should be adjusted in proportion to the fluctuation rate; but advance payment or the delayed construction amount should be deducted from the adjusted amount.

  • Contemporary architecture pursues new method of Interpretation of Non-linear space as digital media appears. As various materials and new methods can be used due to developments in science and expansion of thinking, contemporary architectural color developed extensive possibilities. It means not only the change of drawings, method of architectural product and materials but also the change of value system for architectural space. Thus the purpose of this paper is to suggest interpretation of space applied by color structure, and this point of view was based on the three elements of color perception which are light source, reflector, and observer. According to this categorization, architectural color of exterior color, layer color and interaction color are explained via examples of colors recently used on the contemporary architectures. In summary, contemporary architecture can be explained by Non-construction space interpretation for intrinsic complex meanings. Therefore, it can be explained as moving space, collage, by picturesque space, moving blur color and emptiness of color. This pursues various point of views for space interpretation, therefore it can be developed to the identity of strengthening architectures' design concept.

Dokrak-dang that Whoijae built at first was three by two kans size that had daecheong of four kans and ondol-bang of two kans. Gye-jeong that Whoijae built was three kans size that had daecheong of two kans and ondol-bang of one kan. After Whoijae died, Dokrak-dang's ondol-bang was changed to maru between 1555 and 1556 and ondol-bang in west side and stack room was added in 1630. Gye-jeong was changed to ㄱ-shaped floor plan that was added up two kans from three kan's 'ㅡ'-shaped one.

  • Today, medical system faces to two major flows of change. The first one changes to small-to-middle size special hospital from large size general hospital. The another one changes to the patient-focused hospital. In these two flows of change, women's hospital is a typical small-to-middle size special hospital. In Korea, several studies on the architectural planning of delivery-part designed with recent trends in large size general hospital have done with focusing on LDR type or LDR/P type, but few studies on the architectural planning of the recent trends in women's hospitals. Therefore, this study aims to propose improve way after analysis the developing circumstances and problems on the Architectural planning on women's hospital by case studies on Women's hospital builded recently in Korea.

Rapidly change of social and medical facts such as growing aging population, malady, changing of medical policy are made new paradigm. This paradigm is both required to the hospital ; consolidate department and service; architectural change. Benefit to patient and hospital are many, so there are many challenges in Korean general hospital. The purpose of this study is find architectural design guideline to Korean general hospital which is struggling to change from to functional organization to the patient based care center. As a result, the type is divided into three classes, consultation type(C), some of examinations are added on consultation type(EAC), consultation and examination are fully integrated type(CEI). Each type has different organization and the proportion of area, group unit, process of treatment.
