아크 스폿 용접의 입열효율 계산 방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Calculating Method of the Heat Input Efficiency in Arcspot Welding)

  • In arc spot welding process, the arc is not moving and heat input is concentrated in one spot so that the heat input efficiency of arc is higher than that of GMAW. In other words, the heat input efficiency of arc change during weld time because arc start is done in spot and weld metal is filled. Therefore, the heat input model of arc spot welding should be different from that of general GMAW. In present study, the calculating model of heat input efficiency in arc spot welding was suggested by temperature monitoring near spot in arc spot welding of copper plate. The result showed that the heat input efficiency of arc was changed three times during weld time. The accuracy of calculating method of heat input efficiency was verified by heat transfer analysis of arc spot welding process using finite element method.

  • The characteristics of arc pressure, current density and heat flux distribution are important factors in understanding physical arc phenomena, which will have a marked effect on the penetration, size and shape of a weld in TIG welding. The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of the heat flux on the melting efficiency and penetration shape in TIG welding using the results of the previous investigators. The conclusions obtained permit to draw a proper method which derived the heat flux distributions by arc pressure distribution measurements, but previous researchers calculated heat flux and current distribution with the heat intensity measurements by the calorimetry. Heat flux of Ar gas arc was concentrated at the central part and distributed low from the arc axis to the radial direction, that of He mixing arc was lower than that of Ar gas, and it was wide distributed to radial direction. That showed a similar characteristic with the Nestor's by calorimetry calculated values. Throughout heat flux drawn in this study was discussed melting efficiency and penetration shape on Ar gas and He mixing gas arc.

  • In this study, numerical analysis was performed for 150kW arc heater and inflow around specimen was studied. Pressure, voltage, etc. were similar to experimental data, however efficiency was over estimated. In order to correct efficiency, swirl effect and modified radiative heat flux using configuration factor were considered. It was shown that Swirl had little effect on efficiency although radiative heat flux played an important role on decreasing the efficiency of arc heater. In addition, non-equilibrium analysis that plasma flows moves from an arc heater's nozzle to a specimen were performed.

Photovoltaic Characteristics of Low-density Concentration GaAs Solar Cells with/without Anti-reflective Coating

  • We have studied photovoltaic characteristics of single-junction GaAs solar cells with/without an $MgF_2/ZnS$ anti-reflective coating (ARC) illuminated by low-density concentration (<10 suns). By the ARC deposition, the short-circuit current density ($J_{SC}$) and the fill factor (FF) are increased by $5mA/cm^2$ and 5% at a standard illumination (1 sun), respectively, and the resulted conversion efficiency is enhanced by 45%. In contrast with the cell with no ARC showing a rapid degradation with increasing concentration power, the efficiency of ARC-deposited cell remains almost constant as ($17.7{\pm}0.3$)% regardless of the concentration. It informs that ARC treatment is very effective in GaAs concentrator solar cells.

플라즈마 절단공정에서의 아아크 효율과 절단폭 (Arc efficiency and kerf width in plasma arc cutting process)

  • 플라즈마 절단은 산업계에서 널리 사용되고 있으나 공정의 해석에 대한 연구는 매우 부족하다. 본 연구에서는 알미늄판재에 나타나는 온도분포를 해석함으로써 절달폭을 이론적으로 예측하고 자 하였다. 열유동을 해석하는데 있어서, 플라즈마 아아크의 강도가 폭방향으로는 정상분포 (Gaussian distribution)을 갖고 두께방향으로는 지수함수적으로 감소한다고 가정하였다. 측정된 아아크효율을 이용한 계산결과 이론적으로 예측된 절단부의 크기 및 형상이 실험치와 매우 잘 일치하였으며, 따라서 제안된 해석방법은 플라즈마 절달공정의 해석에 유용하게 적용될 수 있 었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 메디치 프로그램을 사용하여 반사방지막(ARC : anti reflectance coating) 두께에 따라 실리콘 솔라셀의 전기적 특성분석을 보여준다. ITO 투명전극으로 이루어지는 ARC를 이용한 실리콘 솔라셀의 메쉬구조를 구축하고 ARC 두께에 따른 특성해석 모델링을 실시하였다. ARC 산화층의 두께가 30 nm, 60 nm. 90 nm일 때 입사광의 파장에 따른 외부 수집 효율성, 투과율, Isc, Voc, I-V 특성 변화 등을 구하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과 60 nm의 반사방지막 두께에서 최대전력 22 mW/$cm^2$, 0.83의 곡선 인자를 보였다.

방진마스크의 Stainless steel arc 용접흄 여과효율에 관한 연구 (A Study on Filtration Efficiency of Several Dust Masks for Stainless Steel arc Welding fume)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate for filtration efficiency of several dust masks, comparing with filtration efficiency certified by KOSHA(Korea Occupational Safety & Health Agency), and to require of the right use of protective respirators. Using a welding fume generator and chamber, several dust masks, which were widely used in the workplaces in korea, were tested for their filtering efficiency for stainless steel arc welding fume. The filtration efficiency testing system consisted of a welding fume generator, a chamber and a filtration unit. The filtration unit was made of a mask which was inserted into the sampling cassette and another sampling cassette, which contained mixed cellulose ester filter paper. These two cassettes were connected with tubing. Stainless steel arc welding fume generator was delivered into an chamber. The welding fume in the chamber was passed into the filtration unit with flow rate of 30 liter/min. The welding fume filtration efficiency was evaluated by gravimetric measurement. Metal concentrations in the welding fume before and after filtration were measured with inductive coupling plasma analyzer. Following results were obtained: Filtration efficiency of welding fume for common hygienic mask was 63.82% and the average efficiencies for A, B, C, D, E, F and G masks were 94.62%, 96.58%, 83.20%, 82.76%, 77.25%, 86.55% and 93.22%, respectively. Our results indicate that dust masks used widely in the welding workplaces in korea are not proper for protecting worker's health and then the use of fume mask should be required.

복합 호장법을 이용한 공간 트러스의 비선형 해석 (Nonlinear Analysis of Space Trusses Using the Combined Arc-Length Method)

  • 이 연구는 공간 트러스의 비선형 해석을 위한 해석기법의 수치해석적 효율성에 관한 것으로써, 좌굴 이후의 거동 파악이 가능한 복합 호장법을 제안하였다. 복합 호장범은 현 강성변수를 제어변수로 사용하여, 안정구간에서는 선취법이 첨가된 Secant-Newton법을 사용하여, 불안정구간에서는 가속법이 첨가된 호장법을 사용하는 방법이다. 해석기법의 효율성을 비교하기 위하여 제시된 수지예제에 대한 해의 정확성, 수렴성, 계산시간을 기존의 호장법과 비교하였다. 공간 트러스의 기하학적 비선형 해석에 있어서는 이 연구에서 제안된 복합 호장법이 기존의 호장법보다 수치 해석적 효율성이 뛰어난 것을 알 수 있었다.

  • It is important to reduce a reflection of light as a solar cell is device that directly converts the energy of solar radiation to electrical energy in oder to improve efficiency of solar cells. The antireflection coating has proven effective in providing substantial increase in solar cell efficiency. This paper investigates the formation of thin film PSi(porous silicon) layer on the surface of crystalline silicon substrates without other ARC(antirefiection coating) layers. On the other hand the formation of $SO_{2}/SiN_x$ ARC layers on the surface of crystalline silicon substrates. After that, the structure of PSi and $SO_2/SiN_x$ ARC was investigated by SEM and reflectance. The formation of PSi layer and $SO_{2}/SiN_x$ ARC layers on the textured silicon wafer result about 5% in the wavelength region from 0.4 to $1.0{\mu}m$. It is achieved on the textured crystalline silicon solar cell that each efficiency is 14.43%, 16.01%.

레이저/아크 하이브리드용접기술의 최신 동향 (Recent Technological Tendency of Laser/Arc Hybrid Welding)

  • The laser/arc hybrid welding process is a new process combining the laser beam and the arc as welding heat source. The laser beam and arc influence and assist one another. By application of hybrid welding, synergistic effects are achievable, and disadvantage of the respective processes can be compensated. The laser-arc hybrid welding process has good potential to extend the field of applications of laser technology, and provide significant improvements in weld quality and process efficiency in manufacturing applications. This review analyses the recent advances in the fundamental understanding of hybrid welding processes using the works of the data base of Web of Science (SCI-Expanded) since the 2000 year. The research activity on the hybrid welding has been become more actively since 2006, especially in China, presenting the most research papers in the world. Since the hybrid welding process was adopted in manufacturing of the automobile in Europe in the early of 2000's, its adopting is widely expanded in the field of manufacturing of automobile, ship building, steel construction and the other various industry. The hybrid welding process is expected to advance toward higher productivity, higher precision, higher reliability through the mixing of high power and flexible fiber laser or disk laser and digitalized pulsed arc source.
