This study was aimed for effective nursing performance of the nurse to be able dedicate to the development of professional nursing work by understanding correlation between the leadership style of head nurse and the nursing performance of the nurse. The materials have been collected through structured questionnaires for 18 days from Feb. 2, 1999 to Feb. 20 from 234 nurses presently working at 4 hospitals Circumstances aptitude theory of Fleishman (1973) were used as the device of measuring leadership style, and staff nurses nursing performance were done by head nurses utilizing questionnaire adopted from Park. Data was analyzed by frequency, mean, ANOVA, ANCOVA, and Pearson's correlation coefficiency by using SPSS program. The results are as follows ; 1. Head nurse leadership was classified in the following manner : duty and human relationships oriented style of head nurse leadership(3.76), human relationship oriented style(3.30), duty leadership oriented style(3.12), and non-interference leadership style(2.77). Duty and human relationships showed highest score in this category. 2. The mean of nursing performance was 3.66, dependent nursing duty was 3.88, interpersonal relationship 3.78, and independent nursing was 3.34. 3. An education course of nursing performance by general characteristics was statistically significant. Job satisfaction, for seen working periods, and motivation for choosing a nursing job of nursing job characteristics was statistically siginficant. 4. As the degree of independence nursing performance increases, the degree and of dependance and interpersonal relationship of nursing performance increases. 5. The relationship between nurse leadership style and nursing performance were statistically different. The degree of duty and human relationship style of the head nurse were highest in dependent and independent nursing performance. Therefore, it is desirable that the head nurse should demonstrate the leadership style high in the duty and human relationships for effective nursing performance.
Objectives : This study aimed to get the data necessary for dental hygiene students to perceive the need for establishing a professional identity as dental hygienists and developing a program which reinforce pride as a preliminary professional. Methods : The subjects were 695 dental hygiene students in Seoul, Gyeonggi and Chungcheong areas. The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS program. Results : 1. The professional identity of dental hygiene students was 3.02 points, and the satisfaction with institutes for practice was 2.96 points. 2. The higher the satisfaction with the major was, the higher the identity was. Also, the identity was high when the frequency of clinical practice was 1 (3.11 points) and when they selected their major which corresponds with his aptitude (3.20 points). 3. The satisfaction with clinical practice was high when they didn't have any experience in dental clinic before clinical practice and when the satisfaction with the major was high. 4. Regarding the correlation between the professional identity and the satisfaction with clinical practice, the higher the satisfaction with clinical practice, the higher the professional identity. 5. The effective variables regarding the professional identity were satisfaction with a major, satisfaction with clinical practice, and frequency of clinical practice. Conclusions : The professional identity of students may be established through school education involving clinical practice. The identity of students may affect the occupational satisfaction, the identity and the work efficiency of dental hygienists in the future. Thus, it is deemed necessary to have a continued collaborative relationship between a school and an institute for clinical practice so that students may establish their correct views and identity.
This study aims to examine what influence a career exploration group counselling program has on career decision-making self-efficacy and career maturity of female college students. As a result of the study, it was discovered that the career exploration group counselling program had statistically significant influence on goal choice, job information and future plan which are sub-variables of career decision-making self-efficacy while it had no significant influence on problem solving. Also the program had a statistically significant influence on decision, independency, and involvement which are sub-variables of career maturity while it had no significant influence on compromise. Such results show that the career exploration group counselling program had a significant influence on career decision-making self-efficacy and career maturity of the subjects. Therefore, it is suggested that the career exploration group counselling program should be properly developed and provided so that students can choose career which fit for their aptitude and ability. Further, courses for career exploration group counselling program should be provided at universities to help them with career.
The purpose of this study was to determine values and value changes in clinical nurses in clinical situations. A survey was conducted of 200 nurses of one of university hospital in Seoul Korea. This study was conducted between July 1 and July 5, 1994, using the Survey of Interpersonal Values (SIV) developed by L. V. Gordon, and standardized for Korea by Kyung Hye Lee & Eung Yun Hwang. The results of the study were as follows, 1. The clinical nurses surveyed showed Independence(18.32 : 63rd percentile) as their highest value, with Support(14.8 : 62nd percentile) next and then Benevolence(16.28 53rd percentile), Leadership(9.06 : 46th percentile), Conformity(18.15 : 42nd percentile) and Recognition(18.32 : 41s1 percentile) in that order in the area of general values. Using a standardised women's value Indicator, the clinical nurses value orientation was within the 32nd∼69th percentile indicating means found among Korean women in general. 2. Looking at how the values were related to demographics, Leadership was most highly valued among the 30∼34 year olds and least valued among the 25∼29 year olds. Unmarried nurses valued Independence more than married nurses did, and junior college graduate nurses valued Conformity more than baccalaureate graduate nurses did. 3. The study showed that the values of with less than one year (16.00) clinical experience were higher than those who had over 10 years (13.60) clinical experience (p<.05). Therefore clinical experience did not positively influence value orientation for clinical nurses. 4. There was no significant differences in the value of nurses in relation to their workplace, their level of motivation, or their aptitude. The study shows that clinical nurses have similar values compared with ordinary Korean women. This means that professional nurses may not be able to satisfy client needs and also that they do not have satisfaction and a positive attitude regarding the nursing profession. Therefore it is suggested that new strategies and continuing education programs be established to help clinical nurses fomulate higher values.

External environmental factors that make up the fusion research factors internal environmental factors, both core competencies were factors to affect financial performance.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors of conflict formation, conflict resolution type, and relationship performance between convenience store franchise headquarters and franchise stores operated by the franchise system located in the metropolitan area. The conclusion could be summarized as follows. First, according to factor analysis based on the previous research, the factor of conflict between convenience store headquarters and franchisee was tied to three factors such as goal disagreement, doctrinal discrepancy, and interdependence, whereas conflict resolution type was linked to three factors such as cooperation type, attack type, and avoidance type. Finally, the relationship performance is tied to three factors: financial performance, long-term cooperation, and non-financial performance. Second, as a result of Hypothesis 1, the interdependence was positively correlated when the cooperative type was the dependent variable. The target discrepancy was significantly positive(+) when the aggressive type was the dependent variable. The interdependence was significantly negative(-) when the avoidance type was the dependent variable. There also was a significantly positive(+) relationship in the target disagreement. Third, for Hypothesis 2, it is shown that target inconsistency is negative(-) for all cases where financial performance, long-term cooperation, and non-financial performance are dependent variables. Fourth, for Hypothesis 3, when the financial performance is the dependent variable, only the cooperative type shows a positive(+) relationship. On the other hand, when the long-term cooperation and the non-financial aptitude are the dependent variables, the cooperative type has a significant positive(+) relationship.
One of the issues with the textbooks pertinent to the current study is whether or not the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) factors have been dealt to satisfy students with different aptitudes in learning the core objectives of the lessons. This study develops a modified version of the UDL analysis criteria from the cross curricular criteria to language teaching and learning and uses it to analyze the sequence of digital English textbooks to investigate the descriptive statistics of the UDL factors in the new textbooks. The result shows that the textbook is designed most favorably to the students with the talent of linguistic aptitude and less favorably to the students with other types of aptitudes. The sequence analysis shows that sentence/word length and appearance of new words are incrementally sequenced as students advance upper grades. However, the syntactic complexity of middle school curves up steeply which is different from the elementary school textbooks. The UDL analysis will provide learning factors to consider when designing digital English textbooks to cover different aptitudinal groups.
This paper discusses the possibility of enhancing the efficiency in Second Language Learning with the help of an educational information and content search system that utilizes a Cloud system based Big Data. The proposed system plays a role in tracing the exact information that user request considering the interest, level, and aptitude of each individual. Also, the system screen outs unnecessary learning materials if they do not correspond to the user level which in result is one of the key factor in the proposed system. Since it requires multiple steps of verification in providing the extracted results finding out a way to reduce the steps to shorten the time of process.
This study was conducted to investigate the job satisfaction of the dental technicians and evalate the relationship between it’s scores and certain variables. One hundred eighty dental technicians were sampled from 300 among the 2552 dental technicians by wide distribution method, in September 1990. Data were collected by administering the instrument, the researcher developed for measuring the independent and dependent variables. The statistical methods utilized in this study were one-way analysis of variance, correlation and multiple regression analysis. The data were analyzed by SPSS(Statistical Package for Social Science), utilizing PC. The statistical significance was tested at 0.05 level. The major findings of the study were as follows : 1. The job satisfaction measuring instrument, the researcher developed, could measured the job satisfaction of dental technicians. The Maximum score of the instrument was 125, the highest score of dental technicians was 106, the lowest score was obtained 38, the mean score was 72.228 and standard deviation was 12.804. 2. The personal variables of dental technicians were related with the job satisfaction scores. The job satisfaction scores were positively correlated, at 0.01 level, with the scores of age(r=0.379), year(r=0.218), aptitude(r=0.415), marry(r=0.202), income(r=0.381), career(r=0.316). 3. The family variables scores of dental technicians were not correlated with the job satisfaction scores. 4. The personal characteristics of dental technicians were related with the job satisfaction. The job satisfaction score were positively correlated beyond the significant level, with the cheerfulness scores(r=0.398) and stability scores(r=0.224). 5. The job-related variables of the dental technicians were related with the job satisfaction scores. The correlation coefficient between job satisfaction scores and turnover scores was r=0.23, and quantity scores was r=0.300.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of a career group counseling program on the career maturity and achievement motivation of elementary school underachievers. This study targeted the fifth grader underachievers. Twenty underachievers, whose pre-test homogeneity in career maturity and achievement motivation was verified, were allocated to an experimental group and a control group by 10 underachievers each. The program was conducted for a total of 12 sessions, twice per week, and each session lasted 80 minutes. For verification of the program effects in this study, MANOVA and ANOVA were carried out for pre- and post-score tests between the groups, and repeated-MANOVA and paired t-test were peformed to look into the changes within a group by using SPSS/WIN(version 12.0) in terms of statistical analyses. The findings in this study are as follows: First, as a result of post test for the experimental and control groups, and difference verification of post and pre-tests within the experimental group, both career maturity and sub-factors of career maturity demonstrated significant differences. Second, as a result of difference verification of the pre- and post-tests within the experimental group, achievement motivation significantly improved, but there was no statistically significant difference in achievement motivation in the post-test of experimental and control groups. However, of the sub-factors of the achievement motivation, self-confidence and Interest in the long-term future significantly improved. Third, we can see that the career group counseling program provided opportunities for the underachievers to search their own character, interest, and aptitude, and broadly encounter the world of occupations. Also, we can infer that the underachieves had active and developmental attitudes towards future dreams and their current efforts. As noted above, the career group counseling program proved that it has a positive effect to the improvement of the elementary school underachievers' career maturity and achievement motivation in some variables.
