The most important factor in students' growth and development is the teacher. Therefore in-service science teacher education to develop the professionality is important as well as the selection of new excellence teachers. Our research is on the development and application of new education program on science experiments where in-service teachers become the lecturers in the program and provide information that is bound to the context of real lessons. This program is consisted of following 10 steps of work, which was implemented in 5 months: sharing the philosophy of the program, selecting science experiments, first application of the experiments, discussion on the first application, learning how to edit the movie clips of the lesson, second application of the experiments, in depth discussion on the second application, developing the experiment package, giving lecture to other science teachers, and evaluating the program. We describe the process of the program developed and implemented in detail to suggest a model of science teacher education program on science experiments and discuss educational implications. This program is characterized by the emphasis of the context closely linked to the real lessons, the problem solving in a real situation, and the collaboration of teachers, professors and science education researcher in a teacher education.

This paper describes a C-API (Cryptographic-Application program Interface) mechanism that can serve cryptographic service to one or more application programmers in an open distributed computing system. Generic cryptographic service, provides application Programmers with cryptographic algorithms and interfaces which can be shared so that the programmers can program distributed applications containing security services even though they have no detailed knowledge of cryptographic algorithms. Therefore, in this paper, a generic C-API mechanism is designed that can be used independently from various application environments and basic system structures so that programmers can use it commonly. This mechanism has the advantage that allows application programmers be able to use some cryptographic services and key management services not considering of the application program and operating system.

A pilot education program was developed, applied in a practical setting, and evaluated. The program was designed on the basis of various educational philosophies and characteristics of parents as learners in various developmental stages. Specialists in the fields of parent education, early childhood education and child development were consulted. The comparative results between the pre- and post-tests of parent behaviors demonstrate that this program has a positive influence on the behaviors of participating patents. It was concluded that this program can be applied usefully in the development of and application to various parent education programs in Korea.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of a mobile application on quality of life, wellness, and preventive behaviors against dementia among older adults who use senior citizen centers. Methods: Seventy-two older adults who used senior citizen centers were allocated to an intervention group (n = 36) and a control group (n = 36). The experimental treatment involved a cognitive enhancement program for preventing dementia using a mobile application for 12 sessions over 6 weeks. Data were analyzed using the t-test, chi-square test, Fisher's exact test, paired t-test, and independent t-test. Results: The cognitive enhancement program based on a mobile application was effective for wellness (t = -3.87, p < .001) and preventive behaviors against dementia (t = -3.98, p < .001) for older adults who used a senior center. Conclusion: The mobile application-based cognitive enhancement program developed in this study is recommended as an effective intervention for dementia prevention in older adults.

A Computer Aided Design (CAD) program of robot application engineering has been developed for the efficient examination of HR8000 robot. For the Simulation of robot motion. direct and inverse kinematics of robot manipulator was analyzed and robot motion was visualized. The program could contribute to upgrade accuracy and to minimize the time for the robot application engineering.

It is necessary to improve the time efficiency in the high power testing station because tests are mainly performed by high-priced equipment. Minimizing a human error through building the database of relevant standards is possible to expect reliable tests. And also, application program that is properly customized for the certain laboratory's power system will help test engineer to easily analyze the phenomenon that is happened in short-circuit and load switching tests. This paper introduces the several functions of the application program that is developed in order to realize these requirements.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects that appeared to parents after conducting a dental caries management program for 12 months using a mobile application for systematic caries management of children. Methods: Parents responded to a questionnaire on oral care self-efficacy and oral health knowledge at the baseline, and received feedback on a management program suitable for their child's caries risk group for 12 months through a mobile application. At the end of 12 months, the questionnaire was re-written. Results: The self-efficacy of oral care increased in the low risk group, and oral care knowledge and program satisfaction were highest in the parents of low risk children. Conclusions: Base on the results of the this study, It was confirmed that parents' self-efficacy, knowledge, performance and satisfaction were all positively evaluated through the oral care program using a mobile application.

In this study, Site Investigation Program of cut slope is developed using related techniques and experience got from practical application of Inventory Survey Program of cut slope in work for last 4 years. The Site Investigation Program is designed to can be loaded to the Mobile PC for convenience of carrying in filed, convenience of data input and revision, application of diverse programs, convenience of confirming data and facility of establishment of real-time database system using wireless communication like Inventory Survey Program. Also, for connection with Inventory Survey Program, it has a same work process and can establish real-time database system of almost data obtained in filed using stability analysis tool loaded in this program. Application of this developed program is expected to be an opportunity that can contribute to development of slope investigation and database system area using IT techniques.
