This study aims to analyze the representation forms of bloggers' personal style on the fashion blogs and enlighten their values which can be actively applied to design and marketing in fashion industry. Image representation of fashion bloggers is reflected by the characteristics in the digital environment, which are the creative manipulation of expression and the production of virtual and fantastic images by taking advantage of the composite medium such as images, music, videos, articles, etc. Also real time updates in blog indicate the latest trends in terms of the representation of image as the actual currency. The study conducted case studies of 5 women's personal fashion blogs through the verification of a variety of global fashion media and blog ranking sites: Style Bubble, Style Rookie, The Cherry Blossom Girl, The Blond Salad, and Fashion Toast. Research findings are as follows. First, the application of creative design elements is indicated as symbolic items, self-made designs, DIY, and various mix and match emphasizing design elements such as color, patterns, proportion, etc. Second, the virtual representation is very highlighted on the story telling applied by film like production or digital effect. Third, the commercial application with mainly sponsored wardrobe and designer collaboration indicates promoting a updated trend as well as a specific brand or designer to make their business profits.

The purpose of this paper is to apply the newly developed SICAT teaching and learning model to the actual scene of teaching and learning and draw a point of discussion for utilizing teaching and learning model, by uncovering the satisfaction of students and the inhibiting/facilitating elements when using the model. SICAT(Scientific Inquiry and Creative Activity with Technology; from here on SICAT), a teaching and learning model custom-built for engineering education, was developed, as more and more people paid attention to the demand for creative engineers. It was developed from the basis of PBL(Problem Based Learning), includes three sub-types which can be applied to the actual theory, design, and experimentation fields within engineering education. The three sub-types, which are ARDA(Analysis-Reasoning Activity & Discussion-Argumentation Activity), CoCD (Collaboration Activity & Capstone Design Activity), and ReSh(Reflection Activity & Sharing Activity), respectively support deductive and argumentation activities, creative design and collaboration activities, and retrospection and sharing activities. However, no research has been conducted to investigate whether or not there are inhibiting or facilitating elements in the application procedure, or what the rate of satisfaction for students is, when applying the SICAT model, which was newly developed to innovate existing engineering education, to the actual site of teaching and learning. Therefore, this research applied three types of SICAT teaching and learning models to the theory, design, and experimentation classes at the department of materials science and engineering at Hanyang University for eight weeks. After application, the students, teachers and tutors were surveyed and interviewed, and then the results analyzed in order to uncover inhibiting/facilitating elements and the rate of satisfaction. The satisfaction rate of students from the SICAT teaching and learning model was 3.78(in a perfect score of 5: The A type-3.65, The C type-3.80, The R type-3.90), and inhibiting/facilitating elements were drawn from the aspects of learning activities, support system. In conclusion, they can be contributed for implications of SICAT teaching and learning model universal use at engineering education in University.

The purpose of this study is to examine the work scope of architects who work for Alessi and their application of design elements in various fields of design. Urban Design, Architectural Design and interior design are interrelated. Thus the designers should have various design experiences for expanding their knowledge of their specialty. These experiences can help not only the university students who will be designers in the future get creative concept, but also architects and interior designers develop their abilities to look at design. As a result, their society competitiveness can be increased. For this reason, this study selects eleven architects who participated in Tea & Coffee set project of Alessi. This study researches how their design elements apply to various design areas and investigates architects's activities not only in their major fields, but also in other design fields. The result of this study is that architects participates in all design fields, except automobile design which is not related to architecture. Especially, among various design areas, architects are likely to participate in architectural design, interior design, and furniture design Contrary to this, they hardly participate in bathroom. Also, one design element applies to various design areas, such as construction, furniture, accessories, and so on.

This article examined the applicability of spatial configuration to Escher's works through configurative logics and rules and studied the contrasting relations among the unit elements in Escher's works and their characteristics and the creative process of the characteristics. As the results of the study on the bases to maintain and create the partial elements revealed as the characteristics, it was shown that Escher's sequential transformative works demonstrated diverse expressive characteristics as a creative process of Inter-complementary contrasting relations based on the independence of the unit elements. It was also shown that the creative process of the unit elements was actualized through the maintenance base of the fixed and absolute characteristic as the logic for the creation and the creation base of the dynamic and relative characteristic. Therefore, it was interpreted that by applying the logics for creation to Escher's unit elements through the spatial interpretation of the maintenance base and the creation base as well as by configuring the units created in such a way according to the characteristics of Escher's works, spatial possibility canbe derived out from Escher's contrasting tessellation works. The process of spatial configuration is the process to make a balance between various conditions, artists own understanding of the space and his/her intention of the space. From this viewpoint, the logics for maintenance base and for creation base seem to have the potentiality as a spatial configuration to consistently meet the given conditions as well as to derive out novelty through the transformation to maintain the fixed and absolute condition(base) and the characteristics of the independent(additional) transformation arising together with the implicit relations among the transformative units.

Photovoltaic(PV) technology is a popular part of building vocabulary. It can be used today on both existing and new buildings. Its use in the building envelope is very varied and open ways, such as roofing materials, facades, skylights and shading systems, for creative designers. So, to activate this systems demand appropriate sources of information, performance data of elements and design tools offering architects and designer. Therefore this paper describe application elements for BIPV system and then predict improvement in the generated electric power performance of balcony BIPV system.

The purpose of this study is to discuss the planning direction of educational spaces to support children's healthy and creative learning based on bio_philic theory. This study analyzed the characteristics of the application of biophilic patterns in children's education space through case analysis. The conclusion of this study is summarized as follows. As a result of the analysis of children's classroom space, the pattern of 'A(Visual connection with nature), F(Dynamic & Diffuse Light), K(Prospect)' shows high application rate, but the pattern of 'C(Non-Rhythmic Sensory Stimuli), G(Connection with Natural Systems), I(Material Connection with Nature)' shows low application rate. In particular, there is a lack of connection with patterns such as hearing, smell, touch, taste stimulation and water experience, and curiosity through exploration of nature about 'B(Non-visual connection with nature), E(Presence of Water), N(Risk/Peril)' changes in nature and ecosystem. In the corridor and rest space, the pattern of 'A(Visual connection with nature), D(Thermal & Airflow Variability), F(Dynamic & Diffuse Light), G(Connection with Natural Systems), K(Prospect)' shows high application rate, but 'B(Non-visual connection with nature)' shows low application rate. In addition, the application of patterns related to the stimulation of curiosity through direct exploration of nature and the exploration of the patterns of 'E(Presence of Water), N(Risk/Peril)' is insufficient. Therefore, in the case of classroom spaces, the active use of nature as it is should be considered within the scope that does not cause visual confusion, and it should provide an area that can be experienced through the five senses. And corridors and rest spaces should be designed to introduce more active natural elements as spaces to recover stress caused by learning. In other words, the characteristics of children's education facilities need to be connected between classroom space, corridor, rest space and external space. This study is meaningful in that it analyzes and derives the application characteristics of 'biophilic design' which affects the 'Attention Restoration' of children's educational spaces through foreign cases.

In the modern ages when the surroundings of a city has become firm and monotonous this study designed to suggest an direction towards creative approaches to space planning by analyzing the images of interior space with the introduction of natural expressions as an alternative to create original space in order to give vitality to the previous standardized space and to satisfy human beings psychological desire. The results of the analysis as a way of expressing direct indirect and eclectic images using nature a source of arts read that most of the natural expressions show perceptive images strongly that natural elements can become the elements of design in any form and that nature's images are expressed by not only natural and artificial materials. In conclusion natural expression in interior space does not have any fixed form of expression but gives a great deal of vocabulary to the image formation of interior space by stimulating being's sentiment with the spatial restructure of nature's own particular order of form.

The purpose of this study was to develop a fashion design with a greater sense of modernism based on the characteristics and design elements of Myanmar traditional clothing focusing on the Yandanapon Mandalay period of the last dynasty of Myanmar using the SCAMPER technique, which is one of the creative methodologies. Contemporary menswear fashion designs were developed based on the individual elements of the questionnaire on the SCAMPER technique using fashion design elements. The design development process was as follows. First, this study set the developmental theme of contemporary menswear fashion design in Myanmar's traditional clothing style during the Yadanapon Mandalay period. Second, to develop designs using the SCAMPER technique, the elements of Myanmar's traditional clothing were first divided into item composition and design elements, followed by application of the SCAMPER questionnaire. Also, various designs were developed by combining and applying different elements. Third, optionally selective elements evolved from the design development process using the SCAMPER technique questionnaire. Fourth, the design evaluation was used to select the designs matching the study purpose out of 55 design sketches via FGI (Focus Group Interview) consisting of four fashion designers. Fifth, a total of six designs were selected by additional design modification. Based on the aforementioned processes, a total of six works of men's clothing design were presented. This study provides basic data for the cultural and aesthetic understanding of traditional Myanmar clothing. It also serves as a source of new ideas to express modern fashion design in different ways.

Critical thinking ability based on a sound sense of logic is essential for analyzing a given engineering design problem and assessing it to arrive at the most plausible conclusion. Engineering design classes require students to organize their engineering design experiences through reports, and engineering design reports require detailed specifications of their tasks at each stage. Given the nature of these curriculums, design classes provide writing courses focusing on science and engineering within specialized fields, but there still lies many obstacles for communication education that embraces both general education and major subjects. This study proposes a specified step-by-step writing model for engineering design reports that encompasses critical thinking for the objective of systemizing design experiences from engineering design report writing. For the purpose of the study, the concepts and relationship between critical thinking and creative problem solving have been examined, followed by a proposal of application methods for critical thinking criteria and elements from a case example on engineering design. Furthermore, the study proposes a critical thinking-based assessment rubric for logical decision making at each stage of engineering design as well as a resulting model for engineering design report writing.

The purpose of this study was to develop an e-textile using LEDs that can enhance visual and functional effects, and to identify their applicability to sportswear. By applying the design elements of fashion design concretely with LEDs, an e-textile design module is developed and that module is applied to the product, so LED application design can be proposed for use in a practical product. E-textiles have been divided into five categories, and their usefulness were verified by applying e-textiles to men's and women's sportswear. The product beign considered has a built-in tilt sensor, which illuminates the LEDs according to the user's movements, and allows the LEDs to be turned on or off in accordance to the user's preference. E-tatoo is a type of LED application that enhances the appearance by placing LEDs on a small area, emphasizing origin points, just like an actual tattoo. Designed with LEDs arranged in a straight line and various curved forms, e-strips can provide a function that matches the characteristics of each section of clothing or fashion item. E-wappen uses about 7-10 LEDs to give motifs a strong sense of visibility, thus adding to their vibrancy. E-panels and e-clothes were able to produce creative and high-value textures. It is also expected to be used for special purposes or bags as it is possible to produce high value-added textures that are creative and aesthetically beautiful. For instance, a progressive LED string on the straight line of female leggings can further emphasize rhythmic movements during exercise, and e-wappen also serves the purpose of nighttime protection. It is also believed that the application of dance or dance-related sportswear will make the movement of the performance more intense and lively.
