이성분계 혼합물의 하부인화점 측정 (The Measurement of Lower Flash Points For Binary Mixtures)

  • The flash point is an important indicator of the flammability of a chemical. In this study, the flash points for the n-propanol+n-butanol and n-propanol+acetic acid systems were measured by Tag open-cup apparatus. The experimental data were compared with the values calculated by the Raoult's law and optimization method based on van Laar and UNIQUAC equations. The calculated values by optimization method were found to be better than those based on the Raoult's law.

  • This paper studies on the effect of DSC(Differential Scanning Calorimeter) analysis condition on the glass transition temperature of silica filled epoxy network polymer used for ultra-high voltage apparatus. The effects of temperature scanning rate specimen size and gas flow rate on measured glass transition temperature have been studied in order to select optimum thermal analysis condition.

LOW TEMPERATURE DIAMOND GROWTH USING MICROWAVE PLASMA CVD

  • Diamond films were grown at lower temperatures (630-813K) on Si, Al (1100P), and Al-Si(8A, 8B, BC) alloy substrates using improved microwave plasma CVD apparatus in a mixed methane and hydrogen plasma. Improved microwave plasma CVD apparatus equipped water cooled substrate holder and the substrates were set up lower position than bottom line of the applicator waveguide. When the methane concentration was high and growth was conducted at lower pressures the diamond films were synthesized. Moreover the deposits on the scratched substrates formed flat surfaces consisting of fine grains. XRD results, the deposits were identified to cubic diamond. An analysis using Raman spectroscopy, further confirmed that diamond films deposited on the Si substrates were high quality. The deposits on the Al substrates, in contrast, contained amorphous carbon. While the quality of the deposits on the Al-Si substrates were differed with the substrate alloys.

  • In this study, important design factors in Jansen leg mechanism by which two legs can be driven by only one input like a motor are considered through method of transmitting motion in three-bar linkage and Grashof law in four-bar linkage. In preliminary design, by using EDISON m-sketch and its simulation which can observe trace of feet, two identical four-bar linkages are initially designed and two three-bar linkages are added to four-bar linkages sequentially. By analyzing GL(Ground Length) and GAC(Ground Angle Coefficient), the adequacy of the preliminary design was estimated. Final design of walking apparatus is implemented using CAD software, Assembly2 of EDISON Designer. Finally, proposals to improve software used in this study are suggested.

  • In this Paper, there have been brief review about the important consideration in laboratory planning and designing the dielectric testing facilities for heavy electric apparatus up to 800kV-class in the high voltage testing fields. To improve and reinforce the existing dielectric test facilities in the way of econo-mical and optimal condition, wide investigation and an analysis for a solution, especially overshoot compensation method. have been suggested. With the brief description about those matters in constructing and improving the test facilities, the specification of each facility has been shown in the paper.

  • This paper, as a preliminary study, presents the important consideration in laboratory planning and designing 4.2MV impulse voltage generator(IVG), which enable to test and evaluate the UHV dielectric performance of power electric apparatus up to 765kv-class. To fix and confirm the kinds of loads and their capacities to be tested by KERI hereafter, wide investigation and an analysis of test objects, especially heavy electric apparatus of Korea, according to their ratings and test voltages have been conducted. With the special consideration concerning other matters in designing of 4.2MV IVG have been described with the practical examples and references.

  • In this paper, study on the properties of the thermal degradated epoxy resin which is used in indoor insulation apparatus is performed to investigate the problems of the decreasing insulation characteristics and crack in the indoor insulation apparatus. As a parameter of variation, SEM, contact angle, surface resistivity, relative dielectric constant and weight loss are measured. As the results of the above measurements, the contact angle and surface resistivity of the epoxy resin has increased to 200$^{\circ}C$ in but at the above 200$^{\circ}C$ the values have decreased. The relative dielectric constants the thermal treated samples have increased on with the temperature increase. We find the volatile components of the epoxy resin compound has disappeared during thermal degradation by SEM. The insulation properties of the epoxy resin have increased by the 200$^{\circ}C$ but decreased in the above 200$^{\circ}C$.

  • An apparatus measuring changes of various forces directly and continuously was developed by a way of direct touch between powders and transmitting force component, which can be used to study forces state of powders during warm compaction. Using the apparatus, warm compaction processes of iron-based powder materials containing different lubricants at different temperatures were studied. Results show that densification of the iron-based powder materials can be divided into four stages, in which powder movement changes from robustness to weakness, while its degree of plastic deformation changes from weakness to robustness.

  • In present, most of metallic structures(gas pipeline, oil pipeline, water pipeline, etc) are running parallel with subway and power line in seoul. Moreover subway system and power line make a stray current due to electrical corrosion on metallic structures. The owner of metallic structures has a burden of responsibility for the protection of corrosion and the prevention against big accident such as gas explosion or soil pollution and so on. So, they have to measure and analyze the data about P/S(Pipe to Soil) potential, amplitude of stray current, point of source of stray current and so. In this paper, results of development about data logger apparatus for measurement stray current of subway and power line are presented.

  • There are many methods to investigate the physical properties of monolayers formed at the air-water interface. Among them, the displacement current method is appropriate for the investigation of the dynamic behavior of monolayers. The measuring system of displacement current method was constructed at home-made Kuhn type LB deposition apparatus using aluminium plate electrode. The currents induced by the dynamic motion of molecules were measured when the molecules were pressed by barrier. To verify the measuring system, we used 4-octyl -4'-(5-carboxy-pentamethyleneoxy)-azobenzene molecules which has two remarkable variations of surface pressure of monolayer at the air-water interface. We can detect the two peaks of displacement currents which shows that the orientations of molecules are changed greatly at the state of these two remarkable changes of surface pressure.
