  • In recent years, the fire risk in the aged housing facilities in high-rise building has been closing up due to the fire in the Grenfell Tower. In the case of these high-rise residential facilities, fire cases of residential facilities such as Uijeongbu Apartment Fire The fire hazard has been reexamined mainly. Especially, the fire of these residential facilities is very closely related to the window, so measures are needed. On the other hand, in Korea, there is almost no fire safety measures against these openings. Therefore, this study suggests improvement measures by comparison with advanced countries based on fire safety measures for domestic windows.

  • The main focus of this study is the analysis of the importance of the planning work of apartment housing projects. Group the detailed work of the facility into five major tasks, categorize each into five major categories, organize the construction plans (P1 through P 6), name the plans (C4), and analyze the quality of the environmental management plans (E1 through E 4) Finally, this study derived major planning tasks from the correlation between planning and cost metrics and from the T-test.

  • The aims of this study was to provide information of sites to potential buyers and apartment builders through a comparative investigation on the urban criteria in 5 disDicts of Usan city Mugeo, Daun, Guhwa, Guyoung, and Cheonsang. The content analysis method was used to determine the urban factors which reviewed the urban and environment plan legal system and contents of plans which analyzed the housing characteristics in Ulsan city. Also utilized were professional's opinion and various emphasized elements such as the location of apartments through newspaper advertisement from 1990 to 1999. The urban evaluation factors used in this study were degree of air and noise pollulion, traffic facilities, land use, living environment and economics. Major findings are as follows: Mugeo area has the most convenience community facilities, Guyoung and Cheonsang areas have excellent natural environment-air and noise pollution.

  • With the increasing use of tower cranes higher than free standing height, the importance of lateral support is also growing. Since the fall of 43 tower cranes hit by the last typhoon 'Mami' in 2003, regulations and concerns about safety of construction equipment have increased and construction laws regarding lateral support have been strengthened. In Korea, where there are many large-scale apartment housing construction works with the development of new towns, Rope Guying is a more economical construction method than Wall Brace which fixes building structure like building wall and slab. The safety of this Rope Guying is not verified and many construction works are still carried out based on the experience of site managers. There has been no case of construction work where frame and measurements are applied. The objective of this study is to examine the safety of Rope Guying method and ensure the effective implementation of equipment and prevention of disasters.

  • In this study, existing control methods that are suggested or applied until now are classified by control parameters, and stability of in the room and floor surface temperatures of each control method is compared through experiments. Then, the control performance of these control methods are analyzed to evaluate the applicability to Korean apartment housing. From the result of the applicability analysis, the outdoor reset with on/off PWM control is found to be desirable for district heating systems and flux modulation is found to be applicable for decentralized heating systems. In the case of independent control systems for each room, on/off PWM control is desirable.

  • In construction work, safety accidents often occur in combination with unstable physical and human conditions during preparation and execution of work. In Korea, the accident rate is higher to that of any country in the world. Therefore, it is necessary to take measures by fundamental prescription. In this paper, in the case of construction safety management, we tried to find a reasonable alternative through a questionnaire survey to apply to subcontracting and small-scale construction. In conclusion, workers who are well aware of the task could be able to reduce the accident rate by deploying them as safety management officers after receiving the training.

  • This study examines and analyzes residential environment and factors with partial region of Chungjang-dong, Dong-gu, Gwangju based on land register and questionnaire. Consequently, most of residents are in their forties or over and working at downtown or place near it. It is found that rate of their own house is high and they live in the current house over 10 years. Residential factors at downtown area include its convenience, distance to workplace, convenient transportation and easy use of cultural and commercial facilities, but their consciousness of residence shows a low satisfaction with children education, air pollution, noise, parking facilities, green zone for making community, resting place, sunshine, view and privacy.

  • In Korea, condominium apartment was supplied 50 years ago. However, the problems related to contract and selling in lots still happens. Most of these problems is due to be made a contract and selling in lots before completion of condominium. For solving these problems, it is necessary for throughgoing selling in lots and administrative guidance in time for development. Because of the problem after the selling in lots become involved not only selling in lots of developer and the contract with purchaser, but also condominium management and repair of defect processing system. As a result of consideration to development control and administrative guidance in Hawaii State, it may be had some effects like an appropriate management system, consumer protection and consumer education.
