식물성 천연 항산화물질의 검색과 그 항산화력 비교 (Screening of Natural Antioxidant from Plant and Their Antioxidative Effect)

  • 95종의 식용 혹은 약용식물로부터 에탄올과 물을 용매로 하여 얻은 126종의 추출물을 괌유, 돈지 및 대두유에 첨가하여 Rancimat으로 항산화 효과를 비교하였다. 항산화 효과가 인정되면서 추출 수율이 높은 민들레, 질경이, 붉나무, 택란엽, 황기, 포공영 등 6종을 1차 선발하여 각 추출물을 농도별로 실험한 결과 붉나무 추출물이 팜유 및 돈지의 유도기간을 연장시키는데 우수한 효과를 보였다. 붉나무 추출물을 팜유에 600ppm 첨가시 AI(Antioxidant index, 각 항산화제 첨가구의 유도기간을 무첨가구의 유도기간으로 나눈 값)는 1.35였고, 돈지에서는 AI가 3.03으로 돈지에 효과가 우수하였다.

바질의 항산화 물질 측정에 관한 연구 (Measurement of Antioxidation Substances in Basil)

  • Basil is known to contain six types of polyphenols that engage in physiological activation; protocateuic acid, caffeic acid, chlorogenic acid, courmaric acid, rosmarinic acid and quercetin. In this study, the antioxidants in eight types of basil were evaluated. Specifically, the antioxidative activation of basil was evaluated based on the relationship between active oxygen scavenging (DPPH radical-scavenging), which was used as an index showing the content and functionality of the polyphenol compounds in basil, and $Fe^{2+}$/ascorbate (FTC) and 2-thiobarbituric acid (TBA). The total polyphenol content of the different types basil occurred in the following order: Dark-opal> Lettuce> Bush> Greek> Lemon> Sweet> Geno> Holy. The highest content Dark-opal was 173.3 mg, which was about three times greater than the lowest content Holy, which was 49.85 mg. In addition, DPPH radical-scavenging by Dark-opal 51%, which was the highest scavenging activity occurred in the folling order: Dark-opal> Lettuce> Bush> Greek> Lemon> Sweet> Geno> Holy. The antioxidative activation values measured using the FTC and TBA were the same as the value obtained using the DPPH method. Finally, the level of antioxidative activation measured using FTC, TBA and DPPH methods showed that the higher the content of polyphenol substance was, the stronger the antioxidative activation became.

한국산과 중국산 산사의 항산화 활성 및 암세포 증식 억제효과 (Effects of Korean and Chinese Crataegi Fructrus on the Antioxidant Activity and Antiproliferation of Cancer Cells)

  • This study examines the effects of Korean Crataegi fructrus(KCF) and Chinese Crataegi fructrus(CCF) on the antioxidative activity and antiproliferation of human cancer cells(HCT-116 human colon, Hep G2 human liver, and A549 human lung cancer cells). The total polyphenol and flavonoid contents, and antioxidative index of the Crataegi fructrus ethanol extracts were significantly higher in KCF than in CCF. The DPPH radical-scavenging activity of the KCF ethanol extract was 82.26%(1000 ppm), and that of the CCF ethanol extract was 77.64%. Antiproliferation effects of 80% ethanol extracts of KCF and CCF on human cancer cells(HCT-116, Hep G2 and A549) increased in a dose-dependent manner. Inhibitory effects of KFC on HCT-116 and A549 cells were greater than those of CCF. The results suggest that ethanol extracts of Crataegi fructrus have antioxidative and hyperplasia inhibition effects on human cancer cells.

Antioxidative Activity of the Korean Wild Leafy Vegetables: Aster scarer mild Ligularia fischeri

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the antioxidative potential of Korean wild leafy vegetables in vivo as well as in vitro. Antioxidative activities of Aster scaber and Ligularia fischeri were evaluated against a reference of Spinacia oleracea Forty rats were fed either control diet or respective vegetable diets for four weeks. The level of thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS) and the activities of catalase and superoxide dismutase (SOD) in liver were compared. The plasma concentrations of total cholesterol (TC), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and triglyceride (TG) were also compared. Korean wild leafy vegetables were assayed for $\beta$-carotene, vitamin C and vitamin E and total phenolic compound including flavonoid and thiobarbituric acid (TBA) value using the linoleic acid model system. SOD activity in rats fed Aster scaber was significantly higher(as much as 289%) than those fed Spinacia oleracea. Compared to control animals, the Aster scaber fed animals had significantly lower TC and lower atherogenic index. Compared to Spinacia oleracea, Aster scaber and Ligularia fischeri had vitamin C concentration of 150% and 400%, flavonoid concentrations of 470% and 310%, and phenolic compound concentrations of 326% and 203%, respectively, but tended to have lower $\beta$-carotene and significantly lower vitamin E concentrations. TBA values were only 18% of the control value in Aster scarier and Ligularia fischeri and 41% of the control value in Spinacia oleracea. These results suggest that Aster scaber could have potent antioxidative activity in vivo as well as in vitro and potential vague as a functional food to improve the plasma lipid profiles. Furthermore, phenolic and flavonoid compounds may be a major contributing factor to the antioxidative potential of Korean wild leafy vegetables.

표준화 지수를 이용한 환경수목의 오존 내성 결정 (Determination of Ozone Tolerance on Environmental Tree Species Using Standard Index)

  • 수목의 오존 내성을 단기 노출 후 나타난 생리적 피해와 생화학적 반응들의 표준화 지수로 결정하였다. 모감주나무, 벽오동, 때죽나무, 물푸레나무, 백당나무를 150ppb 오존 노출 시킨 후, 광합성 특성, MDA 함량 및 항산화효소의 활성을 측정하여 피해지수는 광합성 파라미터와 MDA 함량 변화를 이용하여 계산하였으며, 내성지수는 항산화효소의 활성 변화를 측정하여 산출하였다. 순양자수율, 탄소고정효율, 광호흡속도는 오존 노출시간에 따라 감소하여, 스트레스 평가지표로 적당한 것으로 판단되었다. 항산화효소의 활성은 수종, 노출시간 및 효소 종류에 따라 다양한 결과를 보여 주었다. 모감주나무 SOD 활성은 오존 노출시간에 따라 증가하였고, 물푸레나무의 SOD 활성은 오존 노출 6 시간 후에 증가하였으며, 벽오동의 CAT 활성은 무처리보다 낮았다. 표준화 지수를 기초로 한 5개 수목의 오존 내성은 두 내성 수종(물푸레나무>모감주나무)과 세 민감성 수종(때죽나무>벽오동>백당나무)으로 구분되었다.

패모, 어성초, 쇠비름 및 들깨박 에탄올 추출물의 순차용매 분획별 항산화 효과 (Antioxidative Effect of Some Edible Plant Solvent Extracts with Various Synergists)

  • 예비 실험 결과 항산화 효과가 있는 패모, 어성초, 쇠비름 그리고 들깨박의 75%ethanol 추출물을 얻고 이를 다시 chloroform, ethyl acetate, butanol 그리고 물 순으로 용리, 분획물을 얻고 이들과 함께 tocopherol, citric acid, ascorbic acid를 팜유와 돈지에 첨가, Rancimat으로 항산화 효과를 비교하였다. 쇠비름 추출물이 돈지에 대한 산화 억제 효과가 가장 높았으며(AI 1.41)모든 실험 식물 추출물의 ethyl acetate 분획불에서 가장 높은 항산화성을 보였고 synergist로서는 ascorbic acid가 우수하였고 ${\delta}-tocopherol$을 혼합시에도 효과가 상승하였다. 패모, 어성초, 쇠비름의 ethyl acetate 분획층과 ascorbic acid 200ppm씩을 팜유에 첨가하였을 때 antioxidative index(AI)는 각각 1.60, 1.53 그리고 1.47이었고 쇠비름과 들깨박 ethyl acetate 분획층과 ${\delta}-tocopherol$ 200ppm씩을 돈지에 첨가했을 때 AI는 각각 3.19 및 3.63으로 높은 항산화 효과를 보였다.

Antioxidative Activity of Korean Wild Leaf Vegetables : Pleurospemum Kamtschaticum, Aderophora Remotiflor and Aster Glheni

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the antioxidative potential of Korean wild leaf vegetables in vivo as well as in vitro. The antloxidative activities of Pleurospemum kamtschaticum, Aderophora remotiflor and Aster gfheni were evaluated as a reference for Spinacia oleracea. Fifty rats were find either a control diet or one of several vegetable diets for 4 weeks. The level of thiobarbituric acid reactive substance (TBARS) and the activity of catalase and superoxide dismutase (SOD) in the liver were compared. The levels of total cholesterol (TC), high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and triglyceride (TG) in plasma were also compared. Also, the contents of $\beta$-carotene, vitamin C, vitamin E and total phenolic compound, including flavonoid and thiobarbituric acid (TBA) value using linoleic acid model system, were measured in Korean wind leaf vegetables. The TBARS values of Aderophora remotiflor and Aster giheni tended to be lower than that of Spinacia olerncea. The SOD activity of Artrr glheffi was significantly higher than that of Spinacia oleracea and reached 265% that of the control animals, whereas there was no difference between the control animals and the vegetable diet animals in terms of catalase activity. Compared to the control animals, TG and TC levels were significantly solver and showed a lower artheriosclerotic index. TBA values of Pleurospemum Kamschaticum and Aderophora remptiflor were only 18% of control value. TBA value of Spinacia olerucra was 41% of control value. These results suggest that Aderophora remotinor and Aster glheni could have antioxidative potency in vivo as well as in vitro and potential value far functional flood to improve the plasma lipid profile. flavonoid and phenolic compounds could be the major contributing factor in the antioxidative potential of Aderophora remotiflor and Aster glheni.

보리순의 영양성분과 항산화 효과 (Nutrient Composition and Antioxidative Effects of Young Barley Leaf)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the proximate composition and antioxidative activities of young barley leaf(YBL). YBL powder(all w/w) was 2.98% moisture, 17.13% crude protein, 4.00% crude fat, 10.72% crude ash, and 65.17% carbohydrate. The contents of total, insoluble, and soluble dietary fiber were $36.62{\pm}2.33$, $19.05{\pm}1.04$, and $17.57{\pm}1.01g/100g$, respectively. The essential and non-essential amino acids contained in the YBL powder accounted for 46.56% and 53.44% of the total amino acids, respectively. The major unsaturated fatty acid was linolenic acid. The ratio of polyunsaturated fatty acids to saturated fatty acids was 4.84. Only tartaric acid was detected. The contents of vitamins A, C, and E were 0.761, 398.05, and 0.936 mg%, respectively. The mineral contents of YBL powder were in the order of Na$IC_{50}$ value for the DPPH radical scavenging of the YBL ethanol extract was $365.74{\pm}6.98mg/mL$. The antioxidative index was high and was similar to that of t-butylated hydroxytouene. These results suggest that YBL can be recommended as a baby vegetable of high nutritional quality and antioxidative properties.

調味用 油狀 Sauce類의 開發에 관한 硏究(1) (Development of Availability for Oil Base Spiced Sauces (1))

  • This study was carried on the Seasoning Oil production by Autoclaving Method in order to research a developed method. The Raw, Extract states of seasoning vegetables-Garlic, Onion and Ginger were added 40, 60% (w/w) of total amounts to corn salad oil. All samples treated with various conditions were determined physicochemical characteristics by Acid value, Peroxide value, Iodine value, Refractive Index, and Volatile Carbonyl Compound Content during incubating $(40{\pm}2^{\circ}C)$ and heating $(185{\pm}2^{\circ}C)$. The results were obtained as follws; 1. During incubation at $40{\pm}2^{\circ}C$, the order of antioxidative effects among seasoning vegetables was Ginger>Garlic>BHA>Onion and Extract state were more effective man Raw state. also the antioxidative effects of the seasoning vegetables were increased proportionally with the concentration in the Seasoning Oils. 2. In the case of heat treatment $(185{\pm}2^{\circ}C)$, AV, POV, IV and RI of each Seasoning Oil were changed very sharply. The antioxidative effect and Carbonyl Compound Content according to heat treatment differed from the type and concentration of seasoning vegetables in oil. Ginger had the most excellent antioxidative effect among seasoning vegetables, and m any case, the adding states of seasoning vegetables into oils were more effective in Extract man Raw states. 3. According to those results, each Seasoning Oil made from Garlic, Onion, Ginger was shown to have antioxidative properties specially in Ginger-Extract-Seasoning Oil. also the Autoclaving Method was thought to be rational method in preparation of Seasoning Oil.

Propolis 추출물의 유지 산화 억제 효과 비교 (Antioxidative Effect of Propolis Extract on Palm Oil and Lard)

  • Propolis를 몇 가지 용매로 추출하여 분획물을 얻고 이를 palm oil과 lard에 단독으로 혹은 synergist와 함께 첨가하여 항산화 효과를 Rancimat을 이용하여 측정하였다. 용매별 추출,수율은 68.1%(75% ethanol), 75.5%(99% ethanol), 67.4%(methanol), 86.7%(chloroform), 72.6%(ethyl acetate), 65.6%(butanol)였다. Methanol 추출물이 항산화 효과가 가장 우수 하였고 palm oil 보다는 lard에서 더욱 효과적이었다. Ethanol(75%) 추출물을 chloroform, ethyl acetate, butanol 및 water 순으로 분획 하였을 때 ethyl acetate 분획물은 조추출물보다 항산화 효과가 상승하였다. 또 ethyl acetate fraction 600 ppm에 synergist로 ascorbic acid(200ppm)을 palm oil에 첨가 했을 때와 ${\dalta}-toocopherol(200ppm)$을 lard에 첨가했을 때 높은 항산화 상승 효과를 보였다.
