각도 효과를 고려한 디지털 HD Radio 시스템에서의 간섭 분석 (Interference Analysis of Digital HD Radio System considering Angular Effect)

  • 무선통신 기술의 발전으로 인해 디지털 라디오 시스템은 아날로그 방송으로 대체되고 있다. In-band 디지털 라디오 시스템은 기존의 아날로그 라디오 주파수를 사용하기 때문에, 기존 방송과의 간섭이 발생할 수 있다. 따라서 디지털 방송을 위해 효과적인 간섭분석은 매우 중요하다. 이 논문에서는 디지털 라디오 시스템의 SINR과 BEP(bit error probability)를 분석하기 위해 각도 효과를 고려한 방법을 제안한다. 여기서 각도 효과는 송신기 주변에 다양한 방향에 수신기가 위치해 있을 때 간섭을 분석할 수 있는 방법을 의미한다. 분석 결과들은 디지털라디오 방송망을 배치하기 위한 기본 정보로 활용될 수 있다.

  • This paper presents the transient response analysis of a rotating blade in resonant frequency range. It is shown that the modeling is considered in elastic foundation and friction damping effect. The equations of motion are derived and transformed into a dimensionless form to investigate general phenomena. Numerical results show that the magnitude of friction damping to reduce maximum transient response in near the critical angular speed. The method can be applied to a number of examples of the practical rotating blade system to minimize transient response in resonant frequency range.

  • This paper proposed the ways for reduction of the prominent peak of the tone noise in air conditioning units. In order to find out the sources of the tone noise, the resonant frequencies and modes of the fans were investigated. Also, the effects of the ambient temperatures and material properties of the fans on the tone noise were studied. From the experiments, it was shown that the tone noise was greatly influenced by the torsional resonance of the fan and motor system and commutation frequency. In other words, the torsional resonance of the fan and motor system has not to be close to the commutation frequency (torque ripple frequency) which creates a rate of change in the angular acceleration in order to reduce the tone noise in air conditioning units.

  • In order to evaluate the response of the grid-connected systems, Phase lock technology is widely used in power electronic devices to obtain the phase angle, amplitude, and frequency of the grid voltage because phase locked loop (PLL) algorithms are very important for grid synchronization and monitoring in the grid connected power electronic devices. This paper presents a performance evaluation in tracking grid angular frequency through single phase synchronization techniques which are an enhanced PLL (EPLL), second-order generalized integrator-PLL (SOGI-PLL), and second-order generalized integrator-frequency locked loop (SOGI-FLL). These techniques are properly analyzed through several steps to get the best technique which can track the frequency accurately and smoothly.

  • This paper has presented, taking an example of a gas separation plant, dynamic analysis on frequency decline caused by the over-loading at the generator and the knee point causing voltage instability due to reactive power required by re-acceleration of large induction motors, resulting in phenomena of failure in the conventional frequency load shedding. In order to resolve the voltage instability problem, a design of load shedding system employing under-voltage relays has been proposed to the industrial power system containing large induction motors in addition to the conventional load shedding employing frequency relays. For the purpose of dynamic analysis, models of gas turbine and governor, synchronous generator, brushless exciter, and induction motor are introduced.

CIFER®를 이용한 무인 헬리콥터의 동특성 분석 (II) - 주파수 응답 해석 - (Flight Dynamic Identification of a Model Helicopter using CIFER®(II) - Frequency Response Analysis -)

  • The aerial application using an unmanned helicopter has been already utilized and an attitude controller would be developed to enhance the operational convenience and safety of the operator. For a preliminary study of designing flight controller, a state space model for an RC helicopter would be identified. Frequency sweep flight tests were performed and time history data were acquired in the previous study. In this study, frequency response of the flight test data of a small unmanned helicopter was analyzed by using the CIFER software. The time history flight data consisted of three replications each for collective pitch, aileron, elevator and rudder sweep inputs. A total of 36 frequency responses were obtained for the four control stick inputs and nine outputs including linear velocities and accelerations and angular velocities in 3-axis. The results showed coherence values higher than 0.6 for every primary control inputs and corresponding on-axis outputs for the frequency range from 0.07 to 4 Hz. Also the analysis of conditioned frequency response showed its effectiveness in evaluating cross coupling effects. Based on the results, the dynamic characteristics of the model helicopter can further be analyzed in terms of transfer functions and the undamped natural frequency and damping ratio of each critical mode.

랜덤 디더링을 이용한 링레이저 자이로 주파수 잠김 깨짐 특성 분석 (Analysis of Frequency Lock-in Breakings with Random Dithering in a Ring Laser Gyroscope)

  • 본 논문에서는 랜덤 디더링을 이용한 링레이저 자이로 주파수 잠김 깨짐 특성을 수치적 실험을 통해 분석한 결과를 나타내었다. 디더링 진폭잡음 크기에 따른 링레이저 자이로 주파수 잠김 특성 변화 관찰을 통해 주파수 잠김 깨짐을 유발하는 최소 진폭 잡음 크기를 분석할 수 있었다. 해당 결과는 평균 디더링 진폭에 상응하는 동적 주파수 잠김 크기 및 회전 각속도 입력에 대응하여 사냑 효과에 의해 발생하는 주파수 사이의 상대적인 차이와 밀접한 관련이 있음을 확인하였다.

MR 방법으로부터 다단 정현파의 주파수 추정 (Frequency Estimation of Multiple Sinusoids From MR Method)

  • MR(Model Reduction) is presented in order to estimate the frequency of multiple sinusoids from the finite noisy data with the white or colored noises. MR, using the reduced rank models, is designed, appling the approximation of linear system to LP(Linear Prediction). The MR method is analyzed. Monte-carlo simulations are conducted for MR and Lp. The results are compared with in terms of mean, root-mean square and relative bias. MR eliminates effectevely the extremeous and exceptional poles appearing in LP and improves the accuracy of LP. Especially, MR gives promising results in short noisy measurements, low SNR's and colored noises. Power spectral density and angular frequency position are showed by figures, for examples. Finally, the new method is utilized to the communication and biomedical systems estimating the characteristics of the signal and the system identification modelling the dynamic systems from experimental data.

A Stator Flux Oriented V/f Control of Induction Motor in Low Speed Range

  • In this paper, closed loop V/f control of induction motor has been implemented by the estimated speed. Closed loop V/f control improve the performance of induction motor drive system at low speed compared to open loop V/f control. However, closed loop V/f control need speed sensor. By using the estimated speed, closed loop V/f control is possible without speed sensor. Rotor speed is calculated from the difference between synchronous frequency and slip angular frequency. 3-phase voltage reference is obtained from synchronous frequency. And the PWM technique using space vector PWM is applied in this scheme. In the space vector PWM, effective time of 3-phase voltage reference is used to simplify the calculation of effective voltage time. This scheme is simple to implement and one chip microprocessor was used in experimental system.

  • In this paper, we consider the anti-attack procedure of a ballistic missile defense system (BMDS) at different operating frequencies at its phased-array radar station. The interception performance is measured in terms of lateral divert (LD), which denotes the minimum acceleration amount available in an interceptor to compensate for prediction error for a successful intercept. Dependence of the frequency on estimation accuracy that leads directly to prediction error is taken into account, in terms of angular measurement noises. The estimation extraction is performed by means of an extended Kalman filter (EKF), considering two typical re-entry trajectories of a non-maneuvering ballistic missile (BM). The simulation results show better performance at higher frequency for both tracking and intercepting aspects.
