The purpose of this study was to develop instructional strategy for newspaper-based science writing and to examine the effect of its application. The target unit was 'change of weather' and 'a variety of gas' in the sixth grade of elementary school, and the teaching strategy was composed of 3 stages-writing including realistic, interpretative and comprehensive writing. The result of applying this strategy into actual classrooms was as follows. First, it was proven that the science writing strategy using newspaper articles actually helped improving science process skills of learners, in particular, integrated process skills. Second, this strategy for science writing changed the scientific attitude of learners positively. While they read the newspaper articles, their thinking became more elaborate and systemized, which seemed to serve to foster their openness, criticism, and perseverance. Third, the science writing strategy did not contribute to the improvement of learners' science study achievement. To improve the understanding of scientific concepts and principles of learners, it is needed that teaching program combines with argument-based activity organically. The above-mentioned findings show that this instructional strategy using newspaper articles can be applicable as one of effective methods in science writing.

The purpose of this study is to develop a science writing teaching strategy, and to apply it to the fourth-graders in elementary science classes. We examined its effect on their motivation, attitude, and understanding of science concept. For the research fourth grade children were grouped into three classes: an experimental class A of 27 children, an experimental class B of 24 and a comparative class of 27. All of them are from H elementary school in Seoul, Korea. Experimental class A learned science writing with a newly developed strategy while experimental class B learned science writing in a traditional method. Comparative class did not learn science writing. As a result, class A showed positive changes on students' science motivation, attitude, and understanding of science concept. In addition, class B with even one science writing task for a chapter had higher achievement in the understanding of science concept than the comparative class had.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of the literary approach using a game strategy on young children's phonological awareness and writing abilities. The subjects were selected from two classes of 'H' and 'M' Kindergarten in G city. The research tools used were the Phonological Awareness Ability Test, which was corrected by Jo, Kim, and Jeong(2006) and used to measure young children's phonological awareness abilities, and Lindberg(1987)'s Kindergarten Writing Assessment which was adapted and used by Noh(1994) in order to assess writing abilities. The literary approach activity using a game strategy used in this study resulted in an improvement in young children's phonological awareness abilities and writing abilities. These results suggest that these activities are valuable tools and can be applied successfully in the childhood education field as teaching aids.

본 연구의 목적은 대학 온라인 영어쓰기수업에서 온라인 플랫폼, Padlet이 학생들의 영어쓰기 불안과 영어쓰기 전략에 어떻게 영향을 미치는지를 알아보는데 있다. 총 64명의 대학생이 연구에 참여하였고 영어 불안감, 영어쓰기 전략, 그리고 배경질문을 포함한 설문 작성을 완료하였다. 본 연구를 위해서, 1학기동안 쓰기 과제를 위해 Padlet을 사용한 실험 그룹과 대학 이러닝 플랫폼을 사용한 통제 그룹으로 나누어 실험이 진행되었다. 본 연구의 결과로 Padlet을 사용한 학생들은 대학 e-learning 플랫폼을 사용한 학생보다 영어쓰기 전략을 더 많이 활용하는 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 Padlet 활용은 영어 쓰기 불안에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않았다. 영어 쓰기 불안은 영어수준별의 차이를 보였지만 수준과 상관없이 학기말에는 쓰기 불안이 감소했다. 본 연구의 결론으로 Padlet은 학생들의 영어전략을 적극적으로 활용하는데 유용한 온라인 학습도구이며 특히 영어쓰기수준이 낮은 학생들에게도 도움을 줄 수 있다.

The purpose of this study is to improve the writing skills through activities to read and summarize the internet children newspaper article. The subjects of study are the college students of A2-B1 level in the French writing classes. The range of study was as follows: - As the previous activity of writing, activities of teaching and learning of vocabularies to comprehend the internet children newspaper article. - learn about the rules of summary - writing the summary The children's newspaper used in this study has the advantage that can increase the learning motivation of learners as having a topicality by itself and a level of easy language. The summary activities can be called a comprehensive activities of teaching and learning that combine the critical reading ability that can distinguish important information and secondary one with the creative writing ablility that can reconstruct one's own style from the selected content. In addition, the summary assists the understanding of a text and is a help to its memory. It is the strategy of reading comprehension and also is simultaneously the strategy of writing that can write with one's own vocabulary by newly structuring the text. The results of this study will provide a vitality for the education environment and field of study of French language that have been neglected the writing ability. Moreover it will be the motivation to propose a way of a balanced French language communication to our French language learners weighted on oral communication.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of online writing contents on college students' learning strategy, achievement motivation, and knowledge sharing attitudes. Online writing contents were developed in the 4th class and operated as a extracurricular. The contents were developed in 25 minutes and included quizzes for learning activities. Changes in learning strategy, achievement motivation, and knowledge sharing attitude were analyzed for 149 students who finally completed online writing contents operated as a extracurricular. As a result of the analysis, it was found that online writing contents had a significant effect on college students' learning strategy, achievement motivation, and knowledge sharing attitude. Online contents is not limited by time and space, and since it can be used according to the learning plan, the utilization effect is attracting attention. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct various studies such as developing contents tailored to the needs of students and analyzing their effects.

본 연구의 목적은 학교도서관에서 읽기와 쓰기를 통합 지도 할 수 있는 학습독서 전략을 개발하여 제안하는 것이다. 읽기와 쓰기 전략은 인지과정에 기반을 둔 절차와 관련된 간접전략과, 절차의 성공적 수행을 도와주는 직접전략으로 나눌 수 있다. 따라서 읽기와 쓰기를 통합한 학습독서 전략을 교수설계모형에 해당하는 간접전략과 모형의 각 단계별 구체적인 실행 방안을 담은 직접전략으로 구성하였다. 본 연구에서는 학습독서가 프로그램 형태로 운영될 수 있는 상황을 고려하여 간접전략인 기본 모형을 준비-설계-운영-평가와 같이 4단계로 설정하였다. 그리고 읽기와 쓰기를 통합 지도하는 학습독서 운영 단계는 '주제정하기-목차쓰기-탐구하기-집필하기-수정하기-출판하기'와 같이 6단계로 구성하였다. 또한 각 운영 단계별로 읽기와 쓰기 활동을 구체적으로 도와줄 수 있는 직접전략을 제시하였다.

The science writing is recognized for useful learning method to boost up scientific thinking for all class course as well as traditional lecture and experiment. Many researches say that science writing is helpful to extend students' science knowledge and scientific attitude. By the way, the researchers thought that science writing can also improve the science process skill if students participate in delicately organized learning program. In this study, we had contrived the teaching & learning strategy of science writing to improve science process skills. The learning program covers all field of Klopfer's process skills with various forms of writing; explaining writing, logical writing, critical writing, and creative writing. The learning program has been developed for 5th grade students in the regular classes in order to enhance science process skills as well as knowledge and scientific attitude. Not to miss any process skill or various kinds of writing, we used 3 dimensional frame. The axes of the frames are science process skills, forms of writing, and science curriculum contents. The students are given the final writing theme at the beginning of each chapter. They drill science process skills step by step during the classes, and have a chance to talk each other before the final writing. They practice writing skills from one sentence to full article by degrees. The effect of the program was examined by students' work and TSPS (Test of Science Process Skill). The result showed that 5th grade students had a meaningful progress in science process skills as well as knowledge and scientific attitude. we could confirm it with examining students' work in the class.

The purpose of this research is to improve the writing ability of students by an ideal test model of English writing based on strategies of procedural learning stages enhancing the level of students' writing ability. Assessment of writing in the field of English education has been limited so far to very restricted areas with no appropriate scientific scrutiny. Assessment is really meaningful only when it exactly estimates the ability of students. Since English writing competence has become indispensable in this era of global village, writing instruction should be most emphasized. The most forceful method of busting writing instruction is to utilize the so-called washback effect of testing. So, to develop a good test model of writing, the first thing that is required is to inspect writing strategy in steps and, then, testing itself. First of all, analyzed with a special reference to the 6th high school English curriculum were the goals and contents of the syllabus reflected in one kind of junior high textbook and eight different kinds of senior high textbooks. Then questionnaires on the whole area of writing and tendencies of English writing classes were given to 100 English teachers, 300 students. The results of questionnaires were statistically analyzed. Then, some suggestions and opinions about the questioning method were made: the procedural strategy in steps, English writing instruction and test model of assessment were applied to the syllabus referring to teaching plans. On the bases of the results of the questionnaires, three pretests and a final test of English writing were administered to verify the effect of enhanced English writing competence which had been gradually promoted and, through the promotion, produced the test criteria of English writing. In conclusion, guidance and evaluation of English writing through in steps are really indispensable to increase student's practical ability and, accordingly, we are in need of the development of a testing method of useful writing practiced in school class above anything else. So, it is necessary to further the study on methods to assess writing ability on the bases of participation and fluency of students with their keen interest in English. Also, to intensify the effect of the test model, more accommodating reorganization of syllabus is required in our education. For instance, we need a flexible operation in organizing time units from the current 50 minutes to 100-130 minutes.

자기조절학습전략은 메타인지적, 인지적, 동기적, 행동적인 전략들을 자율적으로 선택하고 적용하여 학습자가 적극적이고 능동적으로 학습에 참여할 수 있도록 돕는 학습전략이다. 본 연구의 목적은 수학저널 쓰기학습에서 자기조절학습전략의 양상은 어떠한가를 살펴보기 위함에 있다. 수학저널은 총 13문항으로 자기조절학습전략의 하위요소별로 1~2문항씩 구성하였다. 연구의 결과 수학저널에서 메타인지전략은 학습 목표 설정, 문제해결전략탐구, 반성적 사고, 예를 들어 설명하기 등으로 표현되었다. 인지전략은 아이디어간의 구조 파악하기, 위계화하기, 핵심 내용 파악하기 등으로 표현되었다. 동기전략은 학습에 대한 만족감과 불안감, 차후 학습에 대한 자신감과 좌절감 등으로 표현되었다. 이는 수학저널 쓰기학습을 통하여 자기조절학습전략이 활용되고 있으며 효율적이고 성공적인 학습을 돕는다는 점에서 수학 교육학적인 시사점이 있다.
