Function point model is the international standard method to measure the software size which is one of the most important factors to determine the software development cost. Function point model can successfully be applied only when the detailed specification of users' requirements is available. In the domestic public sector, however, the budgeting for software projects is carried out before the requirements of softwares ere specified in detail. Therefore, an efficient function point estimation method is required to apply function point model at the early stage of software development projects. The purpose of this paper is to compare various function point estimation methods and analyse their accuracies in domestic software projects. We consider four methods : NESMA model, ISBSG model, the simplified function point model and the backfiring method. The methods are applied to about one hundred of domestic projects, and their estimation errors are compared. The results can used as a criterion to select an adequate estimation model for function point counts.
The purpose of this study is to find suitable probability distribution function of complex distribution data like multimodal. Normal distribution is broadly used to assume probability distribution function. However, complex distribution data like multimodal are very hard to be estimated by using normal distribution function only, and there might be errors when other distribution functions including normal distribution function are used. In this study, we experimented to find fit probability distribution function in multimodal area, by using AIS(Automatic Identification System) observation data gathered in Mokpo port for a year of 2013. By using chi-squared statistic, gaussian mixture model(GMM) is the fittest model rather than other distribution functions, such as extreme value, generalized extreme value, logistic, and normal distribution. GMM was found to the fit model regard to multimodal data of maritime traffic flow distribution. Probability density function for collision probability and traffic flow distribution will be calculated much precisely in the future.
Purpose. This study conducted visual function training for children under 12 years of age who relapsed after surgery for intermittent exotropia. We are trying to find out whether the visual function has been improved by visual function training. Methods. After surgery, the subject with recurrent exotropia was given a prescription for refractive error, followed by visual function training and vision therapy with visual sence using prisms and lenses. Results. The subjects' positive relative convergence improved to 19.69𝚫, corrected visual acuity improved to 0.88, and stereoscopic vision function improved to 53.08 arc second. It was found that the smaller the angle of deviation at the time of recurrence after surgery, the better the vision therapy effect. Conclusions. It can be seen that visual function training is helpful in improving visual function, and the importance of visual function training can be known.
Fractional calculus operators have been investigated by many authors during the last four decades due to their importance and usefulness in many branches of science, engineering, technology, earth sciences and so on. Saigo et al. [9] evaluated the fractional integrals of the product of Appell function of the third kernel $F_3$ and multivariable H-function. In this sequel, we aim at deriving the generalized fractional differentiation of the product of Appell function $F_3$ and multivariable H-function. Since the results derived here are of general character, several known and (presumably) new results for the various operators of fractional differentiation, for example, Riemann-Liouville, $Erd\acute{e}lyi$-Kober and Saigo operators, associated with multivariable H-function and Appell function $F_3$ are shown to be deduced as special cases of our findings.
Objective: This study aimed to investigate the upper limb strength, active joint range of motion (AROM), and upper limb function in persons with chronic stroke using virtual reality training in combination with upper limb sensory stimulation. Design: Two-group pretest-posttest design. Methods: 20 subjects were divided into two groups of 10, the sensory motor stimulation and virtual reality training (SMVR) and virtual reality training (VR) groups. The training was conducted for 30 minutes per session, three times a week for 8 weeks. The participants' upper limb strength was measured via the hand-held dynamometer, joint angle AROM was measured via dual inclinometer, function was measured using the Jebson-Taylor hand function test and the manual function test. Results: Significant differences were observed in all groups before and after the training for upper extremity strength, AROM, and function (p<0.05). Between the two groups, the SMVR group showed significant improvement in muscle strength, AROM, and Jebsen-Taylor hand function test scores compared with the VR groups (p<0.05). Conclusions: In this study, we confirmed that sensory stimulation and VR had positive effects on upper extremity strength, AROM, and function of persons with chronic stroke. The results suggest that in the future, VR in combination with sensory stimulation of the upper limb is likely to become an effective method (a rehabilitation training program) to improve the upper limb function of persons with chronic stroke.
PURPOSE: This study examined the changes in the handgrip strength, dexterity, and hand function according to the presence or absence of gloves and types of gloves. METHODS: Seventy-six adults in their twenties (male: 24, female: 52, mean age 21.04 years) were the subjects of this study. The handgrip strength, dexterity, and hand function were evaluated with bare hands without gloves, poly gloves, and latex gloves. The handgrip strength was measured using a dynamometer, and three pinch strength tests were performed: tip pinch, lateral pinch, and three-jaw pinch. The hand dexterity was evaluated using the Minnesota manual dexterity test, and the hand function was evaluated using the Jabson-Taylor hand function test. RESULTS: There was no difference in the grip strength depending on whether the gloves were worn. The hand grip, dexterity, and hand function showed significant differences according to the type of glove. Regarding the handgrip, dexterity, and hand function, the latex glove had the best function, and the poly glove had the lowest function. CONCLUSION: There was a difference in dexterity among the hand functions but no difference in grip strength according to the type of glove. The results suggest that the use of latex gloves in daily life be recommended.
Classical methods for estimating transfer function models have not always been successful. A statistic approach to the identification of transfer function models which is corrupted by disturbances or noise is presented. The estimated impulse response is obtained from the autocorrelation function and cross correlation function between the measured input and output. Several data analysis tools such as R- , S- and GPAC array for the estimated impulse response give us pretty clear information on the order of transfer function models.
We investigate a chain of properties of real function algebras along the analogous proofs of the complex cases such as the fact that any real function algebra which is both maximal and essential is pervasive. And some properties of real function algebras with a vertex property will be discussed.

This study performed five methods of tests and measurements to verify the improvement of connection time and bandwidth efficient of FSS (fixed satellite service) TCP/IP network by means of the cash function and the spoofing function. Tests and measurements are performed with; 1. Not to apply the cash and spoofing function 2. Apply the cash function 4. Apply both cash and spoofing function in HUB station and VSAT 5. In a typical commercial terrestrial Internet with LAN. The study results in this paper show that application of the spoofing and cash function greatly improves the bandwidth efficiency to FSS TCP/IP Internet service.
Symmetric interpolating refinable function vectors with compact support are of interest in several applications such as signal processing, image processing and computer graphics. It is known in [13] that orthogonal interpolating refinable function vectors can not be symmetric for multiplicity r = 2 and dilation d = 2. In this paper, we shall investigate symmetric interpolating refinable function vectors with compact support for multiplicity r = 2 and dilation d = 2 by omitting orthogonality. To illustrate our theorems and results in this paper, we shall also present some examples of symmetric interpolating refinable function vectors with compact support and high order of sum rules.
