This study investigates the literatures of leisure function and resource of the elderly to consider deeply the meaning of their leisure. In conclusion, this study presents the leisure of the elderly has both of positive and negative functions individually, socially and economically and they have the resources of individual, human and social as the usable resources for leisure but each of resources has disturbing restrictions. On the actual condition of elderly's leisure activity, they enjoy negatively like a watching TV and the using rate of leisure facilities is lower than other age groups.

Characteristics and applications of three major types of lasers are discussed. They are chemical-metabolic, thermal destructive, and nonthermal mechanical lasers. The thermal destructive lasers ($CO_2$, Argon, and Nd:YAG) are especially explained in detail with regard to energy density, wavelength, fluence, stage of thermal destruction, and advantages of laser surgery. Excimer and Q-swiched lasers are discussed as nonthermal mechanical ones. Delivery system, optical fiber and articulated arm, is also discussed. Finally, recent advancements of medical laser are included in the conclusion.

This mini review summarizes some of the recent advances in machine-learning (ML)-driven chemical and biological sensors. Specific focus is on field-effect-transistor (FET)-based sensors with a description of their structures and detection mechanisms. Key ML techniques are briefly reviewed for an audience not familiar with the basic principles. We mainly discuss two aspects: (1) data analysis based on ML and (2) ML applied to sensor design. In conclusion, the challenges and opportunities for the advancement of ML-based sensors are briefly considered.

This study concerns the demand for Korean textile products in the USA, Japan, EU from 1997 to 2000. The conclusion from this study is that demand for Korean textile products in the USA, Japan, and the EU will steadily decline through to the year 2000. And with this conclusions, in order to rejuvenate the textile industry, we have to consolidate the system of production and proceed with the rationalization of management departments in the industry and the reduction of costs and develop new products. Also, the global policy strategy of the textile industry should be strongly promoted on order to make the textile industry a strong industry in the 21 century.

In this paper, a method measuring the reverberation time simultaneously on all of the audio frequency range was studied. The system developed in this study is composed of a pink noise generator, filter bank, and microcomputer with graphic display. In the experiment, reverbration time data measured by existing analog method and by the system were compared, and were almost same through the audio frequency. Based on the conclusion, the subject method has more convenience and accuracy with algorithm program development without existing problems and it was found out that this kind of method is widely available for many branches of room accoustics and architectual acoustics.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the present condition and business convergence of TV home shopping markets. This study is focused on the current situation and promotion plans of TV home shopping markets to make it better. This thesis shows the distribution characteristic and circumstances of korean distribution market and share of market. Using analysis data, the conclusion of thesis is that TV home shopping company will increase their business sector by appling T-commerce under the Ubiqutious era.

New and improved data on the gravitational lens systems discovered so far are compared with the theoretical predictions of Gott, Park, and Lee (1989, GPL). Systems lensed by a single galaxy, compatible with assumptions of GPL, support flat or near-flat geometry for the universe. But the statistical uncertainty is too large to draw any definite conclusion. We need more lens systems. Also, the probability of multiple image lensing and mean separation of the images averaged over the source distribution are calculated for various cosmological models. Multiple-image lens systems and radio ring systems are compared with the predictions. Although the data reject exotic cosmological models, it cannot discriminate among conventional Friedmann models yet.

For widespread adoption for the RFID technology, RFID middleware is considered as the key enabler of the RFID evolution while it manages the flow of data between tag readers and enterprise applications and is responsible for the quality, and therefore usability, of the information. In this paper, we introduce the recent researches and developments of RFID middleware and explain the software framework of the RFID middleware which is currently developed in ETRI.
