  • In order to provide mobile hosts with multicast service in mobile communication environment, we proposed a multicast mechanism named HXcast++ which is an extended version of the existing Xcast++ with hierarchical architecture, We assured that mobile hosts could get multicast service through an optimal path regardless of their location by making DR(Designated Router) join a group on behalf of the mobile hosts, In this present research we introduced hierarchical architecture in order to reduce the maintenance cost resulting from frequent handoff. We also proposed a GMA (Group Management Agent) based group management mechanism which enables the mobile hosts to join the group without waiting for a new IGMP Membership Query. A fast handoff method with L2 Mobile Trigger was, in this work, employed in order to reduce the amount of the packet loss which occurs as a result of the handoff, We also managed to curtail the packet loss caused by the latency of the group join by using a buffering and forward mechanism.

  • Recently the use router is to allow multiple computers by one IP can be connect to the Internet. Also, the PC or server in order to use a Web server or a print server, Web Hard, P2P should be settings. In this paper, we are building a multi-functional Web server that using a router supported OpenWRT based on network settings and firewall settings and a variety of services. A web server can be provided the Internet phone and secure multimedia service Web server router based OpenWRT may be provided through a mobile app and the PC application service.

  • Network based VPN(Virtual Private Network) using MPLS(Multiprotocol Label Switching) technology, called PE(Provider Edge router) based MPLS VPN, is regarded as a good solution for intranets or ext3nets because of the low cost and the flexibility of the service provision. In this paper, we describe a mechanism that allows the VPN users to move from one site to another site of the VPN network based on the BGP-E MPLS technology. This mechanism is designed for PE(Provider Edge) routers of the backbone network. PE routers connected to the VPN sites establish a new MPLS path to the mobile node after they detect movement of the mobile VPN node. The new location may belong to the same VPN or to different VPN. We desisted VPN management and control functions of the PE routers in order to interface with the Mobile IP protocol and support the QoS mechanism. The pilot implementation and performance measurement were carried out on a simulation using COVERS tool.

  • It is a mainly issue that provide mobility smoothly in Mobile IP networks. The IP mobility support being standardized in the IETF utilized tunneling of IP packets from a home agent to foreign agent and utilized reverse tunneling of IP packets from foreign agent to home agent. In this paper, We propose that solve the triangular routing problem in IP mobility and that lessen the messages about IETF routing optimization. Through the Mobile Routing Table on the edge router, agent process the message instead of a end node when handoff occur and that lessen the routing path length by sending directly from FA to to Correspond Node's router. This action lessen the message occurrence frequency and the packet drop. We compare the standard IP, Routing Optimization of Mobile IP, Wu's method and the proposed algorithm. Finally, the simulation results are presented.

  • In this paper, we discuss the implementation and experimentations of a new future Internet architecture for mobile-oriented environments, named Mobile Oriented Future Internet (MOFI). The MOFI architecture is featured by the host identifier and local locator for identifier-locator separation, Query-First Data Delivery (QFDD), and Distributed Mapping System (DMS) for identifier-locator mapping control. In the existing study on MOFI, we examined the intra-domain mobility control, the implementation of MOFI over Linux platform, and the performance analysis over the small-scale testbed. In this paper, we describe how to implement the MOFI architecture for inter-domain mobility control by using the OpenFlow and Click Modular Router platform. From the experimentations over the KOREN testbed, we can see that the MOFI scheme can give better performance than the existing Proxy Mobile IP scheme.

  • In this paper, we discuss a new architecture of future Internet for mobile-oriented environments, named Mobile-Oriented Future Internet (MOFI). The MOFI architecture is designed with Host Identifier and Local Locator (HILL) for identifier and locator separation. Based on the HILL separation architecture, we propose a Dynamic and Distributed Mapping System (DDMS) for identifier-locator mapping control. In DDMS, the mapping control function is distributed onto each access router in the domain, which is different from the centralized approach using a central anchor. For validation of the proposed MOFI-DDMS architecture, we implemented the data delivery and mapping control functions using Linux platform. From the testbed experimental results, we see that the DDMS architecture can give better performance than the existing Proxy Mobile IP (PMIP) protocol in terms of data transmission throughput.

  • The base station (BS) of CDMA mobile system (CMS) provides mobile call services by controlling call processing functions. The call Processing part of the BS is divided into two components; the base station transceiver subsystem (BTS) and the base station controller (BSC). In this paper, we present the call capacity estimation of the BS about control signals and traffic data of calls by the simulation, and find the bottleneck points and problems which may occur in the BS. In order to estimate the call capacity, first we extract the major parameters for the modeling the BS. Second, we suggest the simulation model for the BS. Third, we estimate the simulation results by finding major objective factors such that the call blocking probability, the utilization ratio and the delay time in the traffic channel elements (TCEs), the BTS interconnection network (BIN)-COMA interconnection network (CIN) trunks, the transcoding channels and the CIN packet router.

  • The SCTP (Stream Control Transmission Protocol) implementation with the DAR (Dynamic Address Reconfiguration) extension is called the mSCTP (Mobile SCTP) that is proposed recently for mobility support in transport layer. The mSCTP does not satisfy short handover latency for real-time applications and it has no specific handover decision mechanisms. In this paper, we propose fast handover schemes for mobile nodes that are moving into different subnet using pre-acquisition RA (Router Advertisement) and L3 trigger for improving handover performance. Furthermore, we introduce three specific methods which are RA cache, FMIPv6 (Fast Handovers for Mobile IPv6) and dual interface and how proposed scheme can be interoperated with handover process respectively. Finally, we show two experimental results which are the mSCTP and the mSCTP using FMIPv6 on Linux platforms. Experimental results show that handover performance is improved with reducing the time of receiving RA which takes most of total handover latency.
