  • Modeling and verification for stability analysis of axially oscillating cantilever beams are investigated in this paper. Equations of motion for the axially oscillating beams are derived and transformed into dimensionless forms. The equations include harmonically oscillating parameters which are related to the motion-induced stiffness variation. Stability diagram is obtained by using the multiple scale perturbation method. To verify the accuracy of the modeling method, several points in the plane of the stability diagram are presented and solved. The present modeling method proves to be as accurate as a nonlinear finite element modeling method.

  • This paper presents a new methodology for business process simulation modeling and analysis based on role-oriented modeling concept. The proposed methodology allows for tracking people and their roles affected by reengineering the business process. It enables one to analyze and evaluate not only work flow, but roles that are part of the flow. A simulator based on this methodology is developed to systematically construct simulation models and conduct simulations easily and efficiently.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify factors in selecting the elective ICT utilization lecture and to find positive and negative elements of the lecture through conducting topic modeling analysis of text mining of the narrative lecture evaluation. In order to do so, from pre-processing of data, keyword frequency analysis to wordcloud visualization and topic modeling analysis have been conducted from 'reasons of selecting the lecture,' 'improvements to be made on the lecture,' and 'what I liked about the lecture' categories regarding the ICT utilization lecture which was opened in the second semester of 2019 at M University. The analysis results show that students mostly registered for the ICT utilization lecture at M University to obtain a certificate and the fact being certified and taking the lecture can be done simultaneously is a positive element of taking the lecture. On the other hand, negative element included inconvenience of the classroom setting environment.

  • Considering that system analysis codes are used for the evaluation of the performance of Passive Safety Systems (PSSs), it is important to investigate the capability of the system analysis code to reliably predict the heat transfer and natural circulation flow, which are the main phenomena governing the performance of a PSS. Since MARS-KS has been widely validated for heat transfer models, this study focuses on evaluating its capability to predict the single and two-phase pressure drops and natural circulation flow. The straight pipe simulation results indicate that the pressure drop predictions are reliable within ±5 % error margin for the single-phase flow and the errors of pressure drop up to - 30 % for the two-phase flow. Through single-phase natural circulation flow analysis, it is concluded that the use of the appropriate K-factor modeling based on the flow regimes is important since the natural circulation flow rate in MARS-KS is mainly affected by the form loss factor modeling. With two-phase natural circulation flow analysis, this study emphasizes the behavior of the system could change significantly depending on the two-phase wall friction and pressure loss modeling. With the analysis results, modeling considerations for the PSS performance evaluation with the system analysis codes are proposed.

  • The scope has been small and the specification has been not suggested yet when the pipe house was planed by farmer in Korea. The construction has been made by the suitable agreement of builder and farmer. Also, life cycle time of the pipe house material under serviceability load is not suggested yet. This study is to consider problems of past 2-dimension modeling, to introduce new 3-dimension modeling about pipe house analysis and to know that how the structure under various loads conditions behaves. Therefore, the object is to discuss the current design and to suggest new analysis modeling of the pipe house.

  • In this study, we have introduced an improved equivalent modeling technique for large scale composite wind-turbine blade. Conventional or general equivalent modeling procedure may give critical error in the analysis results because of geometric coupling effects. For the analyses of structural vibration and aeroelastic problems, the accuracy of equivalent structural models is very important since it can have high numerical efficiency and various practical applications. Three-dimensional realistic composite wind-turbine blade model is practically considered for numerical study. In order to validate the effect of the mass and the stiffness of the equivalent beam model, comparison study based on the natural vibration analysis has been conducted, and the accuracy levels of the conventional and modified equivalent modeling techniques are presented.

  • This study explored the composition and attributes of modeling instructions and factors of teacher competence in elementary science classes. The study also examined educational research papers regarding modeling instruction cases in elementary schools and elementary teachers' perceptions of modeling instructions using qualitative meta-analysis, which can integrate findings from qualitative research. This investigation led to creating a small group to compose modeling instructions. Furthermore, the modeling approach was demonstrated to go through the process of generating, evaluating, and modifying the model. The attributes of modeling instructions can be divided into factors that affect modeling instructions and competence factors necessary for students participating in modeling instructions. The factors affecting modeling instructions included "small group interactions" and "time limitation in classes." The competence factors necessary for students participating in modeling instructions included "scientific knowledge," "meta-modeling knowledge," and the "ability to control emotions." The teacher competence factors in modeling instructions regarding knowledge, function, and attitude were explored. The teacher competence factors in elementary modeling instructions included "meta-modeling knowledge," "knowledge of modeling assessment," "emotional support for students," and the "awareness of modeling value." Accordingly, this study offered some recommendations for effective modeling instructions.

  • Aircraft flutter analysis model consists of dynamic FE model and aerodynamic model. Dynamic FE model is composed of stiffness and mass model, and is used for the prediction of normal mode characteristics of the structure. Since aircraft flutter analysis is normally performed in the modal domain, dynamic FE model shall be constructed to describe the modal characteristics of the structure with sufficient accuracy. In this study, dynamic FE modeling method was described using full airframe FE model and structural and system weight data for aircraft flutter analysis. In addition, full airframe dynamic FE model for composite small aircraft was constituted for normal mode and flutter analysis, and the mass modeling results were compared with the target weight data to validate the mass modeling method proposed. Finally, full airframe flutter analysis of composite small aircraft was performed with the dynamic FE model and the aerodynamic model composed.

  • In this research, it will be examined on mathematical model of AMOS software program that ues for Covariance Structure Analysis. if we have not understood to mathematical model of Covariance Structure, we fail to understand Structural equation modeling. Similarly If We were not understand to mathematical model of AMOS Software, we do not use Software adequately. Therefore we examine two sorts of Software that be designed for Structural equation modeling or Covariance Structure Analysis. In this research, We will focus on 8 assumption of Structural equation modeling and compare AMOS(Analysis of MOment Structure) program with LISREL(Linear Structure RELation) program. We found that A Program of AMOS Software have materialized with RAM(Reticular Action Model).

  • We present an analytic model of an unslotted opportunistic spectrum access (OSA) network and evaluate its performance such as interruption probability, service completion time, and throughput of secondary users. Numerical examples are given to show the performance of secondary users in cognitive networks. The developed modeling and analysis method can be used to evaluate the performance of various OSA networks.
