In this work, six voiced/unvoiced speech classifiers based on the autocorrelation function (ACF), average magnitude difference function (AMDF), cepstrum, weighted ACF (WACF), zero crossing rate and energy of the signal (ZCR-E), and neural networks (NNs) have been simulated and implemented in real time using the TMS320C6713 DSP starter kit. These speech classifiers have been integrated into a linear-predictive-coding-based speech analysis-synthesis system and their performance has been compared in terms of the percentage of the voiced/unvoiced classification accuracy, speech quality, and computation time. The results of the percentage of the voiced/unvoiced classification accuracy and speech quality show that the NN-based speech classifier performs better than the ACF-, AMDF-, cepstrum-, WACF- and ZCR-E-based speech classifiers for both clean and noisy environments. The computation time results show that the AMDF-based speech classifier is computationally simple, and thus its computation time is less than that of other speech classifiers, while that of the NN-based speech classifier is greater compared with other classifiers.

This paper describes the general formulation for the in-plane longitudinal and flexural coupled free vibration analysis of a branched structure. The branched structure, which is mainly found in machine tools, pipeline systems and so on, has some crooked parts and subsystems. And it modeled as a distributed mass system. The superiority of the present method to the transfer matrix method in the computation accuracy and speed was confirmed by the numerical computation results. Moreover, we comfirmed that boundary and intermediate conditions have been controlled by the spring constants.
In the present work the elastic-plastic FE formulations using dynamic explicit time integration schemes are used for numerical analysis of a large auto-body panel stamping processes. For analyses of more complex cases with larger and more refined meshes, the explicit method is more time effective than implicit method, and has no convergency problem and has the robust nature of contact and friction algorithms while implicit method is widely used because of excellent accuracy and reliability. The elastic-plastic scheme is more reliable and rigorous while the rigid-plastic scheme require small computation time. In finite element simulation of auto-body panel stamping processes, the roobustness and stability of computation are important requirements since the computation time and convergency become major points of consideration besides the solution accuracy due to the complexity of geometry conditions. The performnce of the dynamic explicit algorithms are investigated by comparing the simulation results of formaing of complicate shaped autobody parts, such as a fuel tank and a rear hinge, with the experimental results. It has been shown that the proposed dynamic explicit elastic-plastic finite element method enables an effective computation for complicated auto-body panel stamping processes.
Stream data is a continuous flow of information that mostly arrives as the form of an infinite rapid stream. Recently researchers show a great deal of interests in analyzing such data to obtain value added information. Here, we propose an efficient cube computation algorithm for multidimensional analysis of stream data. The fact that stream data arrives in an unsorted fashion and aggregation results can only be obtained after the last data item has been read. cube computation requires a tremendous amount of memory. In order to resolve such difficulties, we compute user selected aggregation fables only, and use a combination of an way and AVL trees as a temporary storage for aggregation tables. The proposed cube computation algorithm works even when main memory is not large enough to store all the aggregation tables during the computation. We showed that the proposed algorithm is practically fast enough by theoretical analysis and performance evaluation.
In this parer, we present the bubble forming and motion in the micro channel by using the two-dimensional numerical computation and experiment. In the numerical computation, The Lattice Boltzmann method(LBM) and free-energy model is used to treat the interfacial force and deformation of binary fluid system, drawn in to a micro channel and a numerical simulation is carried out by using the parallel computation method. The urn in this investigation is to examine the applicability of LBM to numerical analysis and experimental method of binary fluid separation and motion in the micro channel.
A numerical computation is carried out to analyse characteristics of flow fields around Air Supported Ships having arbitrary form. The computations are performed in a rectangular grid system with MAC(Marker And Cell) method. The governing equations are represented in a Finite Difference form by forward differencing in time and centered differencing in space except for convection terms. For validation of this numerical analysis method, the computation of flow fields around Catamaran and ACV(Air Cushion Vehicle) with pressure distribution on free surface are done, and that around Surface Effect Ship is also carried out. The results of the computations are compared with the those of existed numerical computation and experimental results with the same condition.
The substructure synthesis method(SSM) is developed for overcoming disadvantages of the Finite Element Method(FEM). The concept of the SSM is as follows. After dividing a whole structure into several substructures, every substructures are analyzed by the FEM or experiment. The whole structure is analyzed by using connecting condition and the results of substructures. The concept of the transfer stiffness coefficient method(TSCM) is based on the transfer of the nodal stiffness coefficients which are related to force vectors and displacement vectors at each node of analytical mode1. The superiority of the TSCM to the FEM in the computation accuracy, cost and convenience was confirmed by the numerical computation results. In this paper, the author suggests an efficient vibration analysis method of structures by using the TSCM and the SSM. The trust and the validity of the present method is demonstrated through the numerical results for computation models.

In rigid-plastic finite element method, there is a heavy computation time and convergence problem. In this study. static-explicit rigid-plastic finite element method will be introduced. This method is the way that restrict the convergence interval. In result, convergence problem and computation time due to large non-linearity in the existing numerical analysis method were no longer a critical problem. Also, we investigated the effect of punch stroke and the strain increment this method. It is expected that various results from the numerical analysis will give very useful information for the design of tools in sheet metal forming process.
The present paper focuses on the analysis of aero-acoustics characteristic by several boundary conditions. In this simulation, a high-order and high-resolution numerical schemes are used for the accurate computation of compressible flow with several boundary conditions including characteristic boundary conditions as well as extrapolation and zonal characteristic boundary condition. These boundary conditions are applied to the computation of two dimensional circular cylinder flows with Mach number of 0.3 and Reynolds number of 400. The computation results are validated with measurement datum and other computation results for the Strouhal frequency of vortex shedding, the mean drag coefficient and root-mean-square lift for the unsteady periodic flow regime. Secondary frequency is predicted by three kinds of boundary conditions characteristic.
A parallel multi-frontal solver is developed for finite element analysis of an arc-welding process, which entails phase evolution, heat transfer, and deformations of structure. We verify the code via comparison to a commercial code,SYSWELD. Attention is focused on the implementation of the parallel solver using MPI library, on the speedup by parallel computation, and on the effectiveness of the solver in welding application
