The purpose of this study was to examine the actual condition on consumption of adolescents, focused on their pocket money. Three-hundred students attending in middle and high school in Kyounggi Province were selected, and surveyed using questionnaires. Out of them, 272 students were used in statistical analysis, with frequency, percentage and Chi-test in SPSS/PC+ program. The results were as follows : First, most adolescents got pocket money irregularly from their mothers and average amount per month was more than 10 thousands and less than 50 thousands won. And they weren't satisfied with that amount, especially girl students. Second, most adolescents got extra money when it is a gala day or their records were improved. And most of them did nothing on consideration for their pocket money. Third, most adolescents spent pocket money for hobby or leisure and for snacks. Fourth, most adolescents had never guided how to spend money and had never evaluated their money spending. Fifth, most adolescents tried to spend money thoughtfully and evaluated their friends spent money on impulse. Sixth, most adolescents wanted to buy clothings and friends influenced their spending habit.

The purpose of this study was to provide basic data for developing nutrition education program focusing on the health-oriented food choice and purchase which affect the adolescents' health. The data was collected by means of questionnaire from the total of 273 students who were living in cities and myun district and final 253 questionnaires were analyzed by using the SPSS/WIN 10.0 program. The results are summarized as follows. First, the major source of information on food was mass media, especially advertisement and students spent $20{\sim}30%$ of allowance on food purchase. The students purchased cookies or ice cream mainly, once every 2-3 days at the store near house, after school, for appeasing hunger or thirst. The influence of gender, mother's education level, economic status of family, the amount of allowance, the period of receiving allowance, the details of allowance recording, school location on food purchasing behavior were significant(p<.05). Second, the price and taste were the most important factors when the students purchase food. Nutrition and food sanitation/safety were considered less important by the students. The factors considered when the students purchase food were significantly different between Sender, father and mother's education level, and the amount of allowance(p<.05). Third, middle school students' food purchase behavior were influenced by advertizement, friends, parents. The influence of advertisement, friends, parents when the students purchase food were significantly different between gender, mother's career, economic status of family, and the amount of allowance(p.<05). From tile result of this study, the middle school students consider price and taste more than the other factors related nutrition and health in purchasing foods. Therefore, it will be necessary to develope and enforce nutrition education program focusing on how to choose and purchase safe, nutritious, delicious and cheap foot for adolescents.
This study investigated Korean elementary school children's happiness by gender and grade and by attendance in after-school programs during weekdays and weekends. Participants were 3,608 children in Korean provincial areas except Jeju-do; they responded to the Happiness Scale developed by the researchers. Data were analyzed by frequency, percent, and t-test. Results were (1) children's happiness level was high; girls' happiness level was higher than boys'. As they moved up in school grade, happiness level decreased. (2) Their attendance in after-school programs during weekdays and weekends decreased their happiness level in leisure and extra academic activity, but it increased happiness in school/community life and sibling relations. Conclusions were that reduction in the amount of children's after-school programming would increase children's happiness.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the perception and intake of Kimchi in middle school students in Gwangju area and analyzed the difference of Kimchi intake according to Kimchi perception level to provide basic data to help middle school students develop proper dietary behavior. The data were collected from middle school students in Gwangju area and 374 questionnaires were used for analysis. The main results of this study are as follows. First, the perception of Kimchi of middle school students was 4.10 for first grade and 3.92 for third grade, showed significant difference (p<0.001) between first grade and third grade. Second, the preference of Kimchi of middle school students by grade showed significant difference between first grade and third grade at 'Kimchi preference' (p<0.001) and 'Reasons for not eating Kimchi' (p<0.05) respectively. 81.7% in the first graders and 59.8% in the third graders, and the first graders more preferred Kimchi than the third graders. Third, the pattern of Kimchi intake of middle school students by grade showed significant difference between first grade and third grade at 'Frequency of Kimchi intake' (p<0.05) and 'Amount of Kimchi taken at one time' (p<0.05) respectively. Fourth, the education of Kimchi of middle school students by grade showed significant difference between first grade and third grade at 'My attitude toward Kimchi recommendation' (p<0.05), 'Necessity of Kimchi intake education' (p<0.05), 'Whether you think it is good food for Kimchi information' (p<0.001), 'Preferred method for the Kimchi education' (p<0.001) and 'Methods for increasing Kimchi intake' (p<0.05) respectively. Fifth, the preference of Kimchi of middle school students by the degree of Kimchi recognition showed significant difference at 'Kimchi preference' (p<0.001), 'Reasons for liking Kimchi' (p<0.05) and 'Reasons for disliking Kimchi' (p<0.05) respectively. The pattern of Kimchi intake of middle school students by the degree of Kimchi recognition showed significant difference at 'Frequency of Kimchi intake' (p<0.001) and 'Amount of Kimchi taken at one time'(p<0.05) respectively. The the education of Kimchi of middle school students by the degree of Kimchi recognition showed significant difference at 'My attitude toward Kimchi recommendation' (p<0.05), 'The experience of making Kimchi' (p<0.05), 'Necessity of Kimchi intake education' (p<0.001) and 'Whether you think it is good food for Kimchi information' (p<0.001) respectively.

In contemporary society, many fishery industries face a serious problem of having an insufficient number of junior ship officers and engineers. Even though many fishery high schools in Korea made significant effort to produce many talented junior officers and engineers, but after graduation, the students are reluctant to get a job on the fishing vessels. Furthermore, Korean government also invested a large amount of money to train students for ocean-going and costal & near-ocean fishing vessels. However, despite the government's great effort on the training program and education, only a few students wish to work on the fishing vessels. In this article, the author tried to find answers for various questions such as what are the factors that the student prefer, where the student to want to get a job in fishery industries, and how student feel about working at fishing vessels. Furthermore, the author also analyzed the differences between high school student group and Korea Institute of Maritime and Fisheries Technology(KIMFT) student group about occupational orientation by utilizing SPSS statistical program. Additionally, the author surveyed the current onboard status of job position of the high school and KIMFT alumni. This study's results and data will be used for aiding further stimulation and advertisement of job position in fishing vessels and continued daily lives on board.
In order to improve students' interest, class participation and class comprehension in engineering theory classes, a class applying review games as Jinjinga, Bingo, etc. were designed and developed. Through applying them to three engineering theory subjects, the specific effects of the strategy on students' understanding, interest, participation, and academic achievement were analyzed and the usefulness of each review game strategy was analyzed. Analyzing class data over the past 11 years, there was a clear correlation between performance of the students in the review game and their actual grades, which was found to be greater than the negative effect of absence rate on the test performance or grades. This study also researched students' perceptions compared to other general subjects not applying the review games. The results of a survey of the students who took the review game class showed the usual amount of usual studying hours increased, the burden of examination or the amount of studying hours for preparing the exam was reduced, and the class interest and achievement significantly increased compared to other subjects in the same major.
The issue of children′s education is the most important issue for all households in Korea. It is certain that the issue of private education for children is the first issue among household′s issues. This study is to recognize the current pictures of household primate education of Korean households. Also, whether the expenditure of private education effect the economic will-being of household. The data for this study was"the 3th Korean Labor Panal", conducted by Lobor in Korea. The sample was 1950 households from the panel data. The results of this study was as following: 1. The mean of monthly private education expenditure was 149273won for all households and 217,100won for households with high school students. 2. Almost 70% households had economic burden for private education expenditure. 0% households had no economic burden. 3. The factors of influencing the level of economic burden for private education were mother′s education level, mother′s job, the number of children, living location, monthly income, total asset of household′s. The factors of influencing the amount of monthly private education expenditure positively were living in 4. The economic well-being of household was analyzed by socio-economic variables, household′s financial variables, monthly private education expenditure, the level of economic burden of private education. The economic well-being were sub-categorized 4 divisions; the level of economic problem, the level of satisfaction for household′s income, the level of satisfaction for general living, the level of subject economic condition)
The purpose of this study was to test the effect of a self-efficacy promotion smoking cessation program for middle school students. This program was redesigned on the basis of Shin Sung Rye( 1997)' s Self-Efficacy Promoting Program for this study. The design of this paper was quasi-experimental. equivalent control group pre-post test. time series design. The subjects of this study were 53 smoker adolescents in D Middle School in the city of Busan. The results were summarized as follows: 1) The Hypothesis 1 was accepted: The self efficacy of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group after 1 week (expected efficacy t=2.20, p<.05. expected outcomes t=-2.58. p<.05) 4 weeks after education (expected efficacy t=- .19. p<.001, expected outcomes t=-2.586. p<.05). 2) The Hypothesis 2 was accepted: The amount of smoking of the experimental group was reduced more than that of the control group after 1 week (t=2.05, p<.05) and after 4 weeks (t=2.03. p<.05). 3) The Hypothesis 3 was accepted: The positive urine cotinine of the experimental group was less than that of the control group after 1 week after education($x^2$=8.57. p<.01) after 4 weeks ($x^2$=22.49. p<.001). In conclusion. a self-efficacy promotion smoking cessation program for middle school students was an effective smoking cessation program and then it will be valuable for stopping the smoking among the adolescents.

As amount of information in construction industry is growing, the role of information system in project management is becoming increasingly important. With the emerging IT application to the advancing construction industry, construction project management system with advanced technology has been progressed vigorously to improve construction productivity and management efficiency. Recently, a web-based Project Management Information System (PMIS) is developed to support decision-making process by efficiently managing project related information generated from various discipline. Many firms are in the process of developing the PMIS system or already have been applied the system to various projects. However, PMIS is still in its early stage of development to be applied at industrial plant construction projects that process management is significantly emphasized for the successful execution of the project. With the complexity of the industrial plant projects, the industry practitioners need to be able to visualize the construction schedule information to manage the project efficiently. This study suggests methodologies for improving PMIS specialized for industrial plant piping construction projects to estimate the baseline schedule and performance measurement more accurately by developing a framework for the piping construction projects. By using this developed system, the researchers expect that piping construction projects will be more efficiently managed on a real-time basis through measuring progress of piping at each and every state of progress milestone and provide management with opportunities to forecast the level of efforts required to execute the remaining work scope in a timely manner
Objectives: This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of a tailored program based on the Transtheoretical Model to smoking cessation in high school girls. Methods: A quasi-experimental research design was used in this study. The participants were 35 industrial high school girls who have been smoking. The girls were allocated to an experimental group(18) and a control group(17) by randomization. For intervention, the experimental group received the group smoking cessation program and individual program which tailored according to the stage of change. A common group smoking cessation program was given to the control group. Data were collected before the program, immediately after and 4 weeks after the program was completed and were analyzed with repeated measure ANOVA. Result: In the experimental group, the daily smoking amount, nicotine dependency and decisional balance(Pros) score were significantly decreased and the self-efficacy score were significantly increased at one month after the intervention in comparison with before and immediately after it. The decisional balance(Cons) and processes of change score of the experimental group were significantly increased at immediately after the intervention and one month after it in comparison with before it, and at one month after it in comparison with immediately after it. A significant difference in the daily smoking amount, urine cotinine, nicotine dependency, decisional balance(Pros, Cons) and processes of change score between the both groups was found after one month of intervention. Conclusions: The tailored smoking cessation program was more effective, compared to the common smoking cessation program on smoking behavior, self-efficacy, decisional balance, processes of change. This program can be used for favorable changes in high school girl's smoking behavior.
