We are using COS to purpose blocking the excess current and to protect the transformer. But the fuse of COS is melt due to the overload if the excess current flows and it destroy an air severing relations to clear as strong arc happens. Such phenomenon induces an impact ambient noise and it gives the circumstance area resident or pedestrian the fear. Thus, We are the actual circumstances which an ambient noise countermeasure establishment have desired urgently. In this study, we grasp the characteristic of an impact ambient noise which a COS fuse happens the melting and study the method to reduce an impact ambient noise.

Recently, there are various researches using inaudible high frequencies like as wireless communication based smart devices, data transmission algorithm, indoor positioning trace technologies. However, when they use high frequencies of inaudible range, they have a problem that the accuracy of data transmission with high frequencies was low because of interference from ambient noise in our real life. To solve this problem, in this paper, we proposed an application based on smart phone and server system for collection of ambient noise and detection of robust high frequency range. The server system could detect the robust high frequency range from statistical analysis of collected noise and the robust high frequency could avoid interference from ambient noise. We tested the proposed application's ability to gather noise and high frequencies for a certain period of time to evaluate performance. According to the testing results, we confirmed that the proposed application and server system could detect a robust high-frequency range via noise analysis in real life. Therefore, the proposed application and server could be a useful technology for future research on inaudible high frequencies.
We installed temporary strong motion seismometers at the ground surface, 1 m, 2 m, and 9 m at an existing seismic station that houses permanent seismometers installed at 20 m and 100 m, to investigate the influence of installation depth on the recorded ambient and anthropogenic noise level and the characteristics of earthquake signals. Analysis of the ambient noise shows that anthropogenic noise dominates where vibration period T < 1 s at the studied site, whereas wind speed appears to be strongly correlated with the noise level at T > 1 s. Frequency-wavenumber analysis of 2D seismometer array suggests that ambient noise in short periods are predominantly body waves, rather than surface waves. The level of ambient noise was low at 9 m and 20 m, but strong amplification of noise level at T < 0.1 s was observed at the shallow seismometers. Both the active-source test result and the recorded earthquake data demonstrated that the signal level is decreased with the increase of depth. Our result also shows that recorded motions at the ground and 1 m are strongly amplified at 20 Hz (T = 0.05 s), likely due to the resonance of the 3 m thick soil layer. This study demonstrates that analysis of ambient and active-source vibration may help find optimal installation depth of strong motion seismometers. We expect that further research considering various noise environments and geological conditions will be helpful in establishing a guideline for optimal installation of strong motion seismometers.
An underwater sound surveillance system detects and tracks enemy ships in real-time using hydrophone arrays, in which seabed-mounted sensor arrays play a pivotal role. In this paper the conceptual design of seabed-mounted, cylindrical hydrophone arrays for use in shallow coastal waters is performed via finite element calculations. To stabilize the receiving characteristics under the ocean ambient noise, a technique for whitening the ambient noise spectrum using a metal baffle is proposed. Optimization of the array configuration is performed to achieve the directivity in the vertical and azimuthal directions. And the effects of the sonar dome shape and material on the structural vibration and sound scattering properties are studied. It is demonstrated that a robust hydrophone array, having a sensitivity deviation less than 4 dB over the frequency range of interest, can be obtained through the whitening of the ambient noise, the optimization of the array configuration, and the design of acoustically transparent sonar domes.
Orientation corrections for the total of 268 accelerograph stations of the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) were estimated using ambient noise cross-correlation. As this method uses ambient noise data instead of teleseismic waveforms from earthquakes under certain conditions, reliable orientation corrections can be obtained using only two-month long continuous seismic data from dense seismic networks in the Korean peninsula.Three-component continuous data recorded at the 268 accelerograph stations from January to February 2020 were used to estimate orientation corrections. The results are comparable to the previous results obtained from teleseismic waveforms; the overall standard deviations of the orientation corrections are less than 5°. Therefore, orientation corrections for the accelerograph station network can be tracked periodically by the ambient-noise method and the result can be used in various studies using the horizontal-component of acceleration data.
A model is developed for the calculation of sea surface generated ambient noise in the range dependent ocean environment. The sources are located in the horizontal plane all around and their depths are at the near-surface. The receiver array is located in the range dependent ocean waveguide. One-way coupled mode method is used to model the acoustic propagation between the sources and receiver in the range dependent waveguide, and the cross spectral density matrix of noise is derived. In simulation, noise intensity, beamforming result and coherence function are calculated from the cross spectral density matrix. These results are compared with those in the range independent environment. The modeling result shows the effect of the vertical directionality and asymmetry characteristics of the horizontal plane.

Based on experimental measurements conducted on many different practical wireless communication systems, ambient noise has been shown to be decidedly non-Gaussian owing to impulsive phenomena. However, most multiuser detection techniques proposed thus far have considered Gaussian noise only. They may therefore suffer from a considerable performance loss in the presence of impulsive ambient noise. In this paper, we consider a large-scale multiuser multiple-input multiple-output system in the presence of non-Gaussian noise and propose a genetic algorithm (GA) based detector for large-dimensional multiuser signal detection. The proposed algorithm is more robust than linear multi-user detectors for non-Gaussian noise because it uses a multi-directional search to manipulate and maintain a population of potential solutions. Meanwhile, the proposed GA-based algorithm has a comparable complexity because it does not require any complicated computations (e.g., a matrix inverse or derivation). The simulation results show that the GA offers a performance gain over the linear minimum mean square error algorithm for both non-Gaussian and Gaussian noise.
KMA established short period seismometer, accelerometer, and ocean bottom seismometer network to build the detail earthquake monitoring system and Tsunami monitoring system. KMA also replaced borehole seismometer and wave height meter monitoring system. The purposes of this study are to record the ambient seismic noise levels of short period seismometer and accelerometer installed in 2006 and 2007, and compare their characteristics to present the standard of site selection criteria.
Actual maritime exercise for improving the capability of submarine sonar operator leads to a lot of cost and constraints. Sonar simulator maximizes the capability of sonar operator and training effect by solving these problems and simulating a realistic battlefield environment. In this study, a passive sonar simulator algorithm is suggested, where the simulator is divided into three modules: maneuvering module, noise source module, and sound propagation module. Maneuvering module is implemented in three-dimensional coordinate system and time interval is set as the rate of vessel changing course. Noise source module consists of target noise, ocean ambient noise, and self noise. Target noise is divided into modulated/unmodulated and narrowband/broadband signals as their frequency characteristics, and they are applied to ship radiated noise level depending on the vessel tonnage and velocity. Ocean ambient noise is simulated depending on the wind noise considering the waveguide effect and other ambient noise. Self noise is also simulated for flow noise and insertion loss of sonar-dome. The sound propagation module is based on ray propagation, where summation of amplitude, phase, and time delay for each eigen-ray is multiplied by target noise in the frequency domain. Finally, simulated results based on various scenarios are in good agreement with generated noise in the real ocean.
Coherence describing the similarity between physical quantities of two signals is a very useful tool to investigate the temporal and spatial characteristics of signals propagating in underwater acoustic waveguide. Ambient noise measurements were made by the vertical received array consisting of three hydrophones as part of the KIOST-HYU joint acoustics experiment, and the coherence for the underwater ambient noise was analyzed. In this paper, the coherence results in cases that the generator in the research vessel was off and turned on are presented. The coherence estimated in the case of the generator operation mode are compared to the predictions obtained using the theoretical model with the directional density function dominated by vertical components propagating downward from the ship. In the case of the generator switch-off, the results are compared to the model predictions with directional density function including the effects of sea surface noise and long-distance shipping noise.
