핫코일-카세트 동역학 모델링 및 지지경사각 설계 (Modeling of Hot-Coil/Cassette Dynamics and Design of Cassette Wedge Angle)

  • 본 연구는 선박을 이용한 핫코일 화물의 안전하고 효과적인 운송 방법에 관하여 다루고 있다. 기하학적으로 불안정한 화물인 핫코일을 양측에서 쐐기로 지지함으로써 안전성을 지켜주는 카세트(cassette)를 활용한 자동 선적/하역 시스템이 효율적이고 타산성이 있는 것으로 간주되고 있다. 카세트 위의 핫코일의 안전 및 나아가서 전체 운반선의 안전은 카세트의 지지경사각에 의해 직접적인 영향을 받는다. 카세트 경사각의 최적설계를 위하여 핫코일과 카세트간의 상대운동을 허용하지 않는 구속조건하에서 핫코일-카세트 화물의 동역학 모델이 개발되었다. 파랑중 운반선의 운동에 기인되어 핫코일에 작용하는 관성력의 합력과 카세트 경사면 반력 사이의 힘의 평형 조건식이 유도되었으며, 그에 따라서 수치시뮬레이션 프로그램이 개발되었다. 수치 시뮬레이션에 의하여 핫코일의 동안전성과 카세트 구조 강도를 고려한 최적의 카세트 경사각은 약 37도로 선정되었다. 설계된 카세트 경사각의 성능은 축소 벤치 테스트를 동하여 검토 및 입증되었다.

Transparent and Flexible All-Organic Multi-Functional Sensing Devices Based on Field-effect Transistor Structure

  • Transparent and flexible electronic devices that are light-weight, unbreakable, low power consumption, optically transparent, and mechanical flexible possibly have great potential in new applications of digital gadgets. Potential applications include transparent displays, heads-up display, sensor, and artificial skin. Recent reports on transparent and flexible field-effect transistors (tf-FETs) have focused on improving mechanical properties, optical transmittance, and performances. Most of tf-FET devices were fabricated with transparent oxide semiconductors which mechanical flexibility is limited. And, there have been no reports of transparent and flexible all-organic tf-FETs fabricated with organic semiconductor channel, gate dielectric, gate electrode, source/drain electrode, and encapsulation for sensor applications. We present the first demonstration of transparent, flexible all-organic sensor based on multifunctional organic FETs with organic semiconductor channel, gate dielectric, and electrodes having a capability of sensing infrared (IR) radiation and mechanical strain. The key component of our device design is to integrate the poly(vinylidene fluoride-triflouroethylene) (P(VDF-TrFE) co-polymer directly into transparent and flexible OFETs as a multi-functional dielectric layer, which has both piezoelectric and pyroelectric properties. The P(VDF-TrFE) co-polumer gate dielectric has a high sensitivity to the wavelength regime over 800 nm. In particular, wavelength variations of P(VDF-TrFE) molecules coincide with wavelength range of IR radiation from human body (7000 nm ~14000 nm) so that the devices are highly sensitive with IR radiation of human body. Devices were examined by measuring IR light response at different powers. After that, we continued to measure IR response under various bending radius. AC (alternating current) gate biasing method was used to separate the response of direct pyroelectric gate dielectric and other electrical parameters such as mobility, capacitance, and contact resistance. Experiment results demonstrate that the tf-OTFT with high sensitivity to IR radiation can be applied for IR sensors.

PSN-PMN-PZT 조성의 CeO2첨가에 따른 압전.유전특성 변화 (Piezoelectric and Dielectric Properties on PSN-PMN-PZT Composition according to CeO2 Addition)

  • 0.03Pb$(Sb_{0.5}Nb_{0.5})O_{3}-0.03Pb(Mn{1/3}Nb{2/3)O_{3}-(0.94-x)PbTiO_{3}-xPbZrO_{3}$ ceramics doped with $CeO_{2}$ were synthesized by conventional bulk ceramic processing technique. Phases analysis, microstructures and piezoelectric properties were investigated as a function of $CeO_{2}$ content (0.03, 0.05, 0.1 0.3, 0.5 and 0.7 wt%). Microstructures and phases information were characterized using a scanning electron microscope (SEM) and an X-ray diffractometer (XRD). Mechanical quality factor ($Q_{m}$) and coupling factor(kp) were obtained from the resonance measurement method. Both $Q_{m}$ and $k_{p}$ were shown to reach to the maximum at 0.1 wt% $CeO_{2}$. In order to evaluate the stability of resonance frequency and effective electromechanical coupling factor ($K_{eff}$) as a function of $CeO_{2}$, the variation of resonance and anti-resonance frequency were also measured using a high voltage frequency response analyzer under various alternating electric fields from 10 V/mm to 80 V/mm. It was shown that the stability of resonance frequency and effective electromechanical coupling factor were increased with increasing the $CeO_{2}$ contents.

Effect of Salt Concentration on the Glass Transition Temperature and Ionic Conductivity of Poly(ethylene glycol)-Polyurethane/$LiClO_4$ Complexes

  • Solid polymer electrolytes based on poly(ethylene glycol)-polyurethane (PEG-PU) complexed with LiClO$_4$ salt have been prepared by the solvent casting method. A PEG-PU material (PEG:4,4'-diphenylmethane diisocyanate: l,4-butanediol = 1:2:1) was synthesized through a typical two-step condensation reaction. We investigated the effects of the salt concentration on the ionic conductivity ($\sigma$) and the glass transition temperature (T$_{g}$ ) of the complex electrolytes by using alternating current impedance spectroscopy, differential scanning calorimetry, and dynamic mechanical thermal analysis. The measured values of both $\sigma$ and T$_{g}$ exhibited similar tendencies in that they had maxima within the range studied, probably because of two opposite effects, i.e., the increased number of carrier ions and the decreased chain mobility (or increased T$_{g}$ ) caused by the increase in the salt concentration. The highest conductivity, on the order of 2.43 ${\times}$ 10$^{6}$ S$cm^{-1}$ /, was obtained at an [O]/[Li$^{+}$] ratio of ca. 16 (0.92 ㏖ salt per kg of matrix polymer).

디에틸 ${\alpha}$-페닐비닐인산과 아크릴로니트릴 및 말레산무수물의 자유라디칼 혼성중합 (Copolymerization of Diethyl ${\alpha}$-Phenylvinyl Phosphate with Acrylonitrile and Maleic Anhydride)

  • 자유라디칼 개시제에 의한 디에틸 ${\alpha}$-페닐비닐 인산(DEPVP)과 아크릴로니트릴(AN) 및 말레산 무수물(MAnh)의 혼성중합 연구를 행하였다. 개시제로는 과산화벤조일을 사용하였으며 중합온도는 $70^{\circ}C$이었다. 단위체 반응성비는$ r_1(AN) = 0.77, r_2(DEPVP) = 0.002 $이었으며, 이 값으로 부터 DEPVP의 Alfrey-Price 상수 Q=0.012, e=-1.35를 얻었다. 이와 대조적으로 DEPVP와 MAnh와의 자유라디칼 혼성중합은 과산화 벤조일을 개시제로 사용하여 $70^{\circ}C$에서 클로로포름 용액중에서 행한 결과 초기 단위체의 농도비에 무관하게 1 : 1 교대 혼성 중합체를 형성하였으며, 두 단위체의 몰비가 MAnh / DEPVP = 7 / 3일때 중합속도가 최대였다. 핵자기 공명 분광법으로 구한 DEPVP와 MAnh의 전하이동 착물의 평형상수는 $21^{\circ}C$ 클로로포름 용액에서 0.085 l/mol이었다. 혼성 중합체중 DEPVP의 함량이 증가함에 따라 AN/DEPVP 쌍에서는 환산점성도가 감소함을 보였고 MAnh/DEPVP쌍에서는 변화가 별로 없었다

LTE 시스템 채널 추정치의 후처리 기법 연구 (A Study on the Postprocessing of Channel Estimates in LTE System)

  • The Long Term Evolution (LTE) system is designed to provide a high quality data service for fast moving mobile users. It is based on the Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) and relies its channel estimation on the training samples which are systematically built within the transmitting data. Either a preamble or a lattice type is used for the distribution of training samples and the latter suits better for the multipath fading channel environment whose channel frequency response (CFR) fluctuates rapidly with time. In the lattice-type structure, the estimation of the CFR makes use of the least squares estimate (LSE) for each pilot samples, followed by an interpolation both in time-and in frequency-domain to fill up the channel estimates for subcarriers corresponding to data samples. All interpolation schemes should rely on the pilot estimates only, and thus, their performances are bounded by the quality of pilot estimates. However, the additive noise give rise to high fluctuation on the pilot estimates, especially in a communication environment with low signal-to-noise ratio. These high fluctuations could be monitored in the alternating high values of the first forward differences (FFD) between pilot estimates. In this paper, we analyzed statistically those FFD values and propose a postprocessing algorithm to suppress high fluctuations in the noisy pilot estimates. The proposed method is based on a localized adaptive moving-average filtering. The performance of the proposed technique is verified on a multipath environment suggested on a 3GPP LTE specification. It is shown that the mean-squared error (MSE) between the actual CFR and pilot estimates could be reduced up to 68% from the noisy pilot estimates.

소결 13Cr-1.5Nb-Fe 합금의 교류 자기 특성 (Fabrication of 13Cr-1.5Nb-Fe Alloy Powder and AC Magnetic Properties of the Sintered Magnetic Core)

  • 수분사법으로 제조된 13Cr-1.5Nb-Fe 합금분말을 수소분위기 하에서 환원처리 하였다. 분말특성이 조사된 환원분말을 이용하여 자기코아를 제작한 후 약 $10^{-5}$Torr의 진공분위기에서 소결하였다. 자기코아의 교류자기특성을 조사하기 위하여 투자율과 자기손실을 조사하였다. 환원분말의 입도분포는 약 70$\mu\textrm{m}$에서 50% vol.을 나타내며, 포화자화 값은 약160 emu/g이었다. 10ton/$\textrm{cm}^2$ 성형압력, 1,20$0^{\circ}C$ 소결온도에서 제작된 자기코아의 교류투자율은 주파수, f=1 kHz, 인가자장, H$_{a}$ =5 Oe에서 400이다. 또한 동조건에서 제작된 자기코아의 교류자기이력손실은 유도자화, B$_{m}$ =80G에서 0.12mW/cc이다.

(CrAs)3(MnAs)3(110) 초격자의 전자구조와 자성에 대한 제일원리 연구 (First-principles Study on the Magnetism and Electronic Structure of (CrAs)3(MnAs)3(110) Superlattice)

  • Zinc-blonde 구조를 가지는 CrAs와 MnAs에서 (110)면 원자층으로 이루어진 초격자의 자성을 제일원리 방법을 이용하여 연구하였다. 이를 위해 CrAs와 MnAs의 (110)층이 각기 세 층씩 교대로 반복되는 $(CrAs)_3(MnAs)_3(110)$ 초격자계의 전자구조를 총 퍼텐셜 선형보강평면파동(FLAPW) 에너지띠 방법을 이용하여 계산하였다. Cr-As로 이루어진 층과 Mn-As로 이루어진 층이 접합되는 계면에 있는 Cr과 Mn원자의 자기모멘트를 계산한 결과 각기 $3.07\;\mu_B$$3.74\;\mu_B$로 가운데 층의 Cr과 Mn의 자기모멘트 값인 $3.06\;\mu_B$$3.76\;\mu_B$보다 약간 크거나 작았다. 계산된 상태밀도로부터 이 계의 전자구조와 반쪽금속성을 고찰하였다.

Response characteristics and suppression of torsional vibration of rectangular prisms with various width-to-depth ratios

  • The response characteristics and suppression of flow-induced vibrations of rectangular prisms with various width-to-depth ratios were experimentally investigated. The prisms were rigid and elastically mounted at both ends to enable constrained torsional vibrations only. The present study focused on torsional vibrations, one of the three types of flow-induced vibrations generated in a rectangular prism. First, the response characteristics of torsional vibrations generated in rectangular prisms were investigated by free-vibration tests. It was found that the response characteristics of torsional vibrations generated in rectangular prisms could be classified into six patterns depending on the width-to-depth ratio. Next, the response characteristics of torsional vibrations observed in the free-vibration tests were reproduced by forced-vibration tests, and the mechanisms by which the three types of flow-induced vibrations, low-speed torsional flutter, vortex excitation and high-speed torsional flutter, are generated in the rectangular prisms were elucidated on the basis of characteristics of fluid forces and visualized flow patterns. Experiments were also carried out to establish an effective method for suppressing flow-induced vibrations generated in the rectangular prisms, and it was found that low-speed torsional flutter and high-speed torsional flutter could be suppressed by placing a small normal plate upstream of the prism, which results in suppression of the alternating rolling-up of the shear layers separating from the leading edges of the prism. It was also found that vortex excitation could be suppressed by placing a splitter plate downstream of the prism, which results in suppression of the generation of wake vortices.

실리콘 산화질화물 기지상 적용에 따른 Au 나노입자 분산 복합체 박막의 광학적 특성 (Effect of Silicon Oxynitride Matrix on the Optical Properties of Au Nanoparticles Dispersed Composite Film)

  • In this study, we analyzed the effect of silicon oxynitride matrix on the optical properties of Au nanoparticles dispersed on composite film and explored the effectiveness of the silicon in fine tuning the refractive index of the composite film for applications in optical waveguide devices. The atomic fraction of nitrogen in $SiO_xN_y$ films was controlled by varying the relative flow ratio of nitrogen gas in reactive sputtering and was evaluated optically using an effective medium theory with Bruggeman geometry consisting of a random mixture between $SiO_2$ and $Si_3N_4$. The Au nanoparticles were embedded in the $SiO_xN_y$ matrix by employing the alternating deposition technique and clearly showed an absorption peak due to the excitation of surface plasmon. With increasing nitrogen atomic fraction in the matrix, the surface plasmon resonance wavelength shifted to a longer wavelength (a red-shift) with an enhanced resonance absorption. These characteristics were interpreted using the Maxwell-Garnett effective medium theory. The formation of a guided mode in a slab waveguide consisting of 3 $\mu$m thick Au:$SiO_xN_y$ nanocomposite film was confirmed at the telecommunication wavelength of 1550 nm by prism coupler method and compared with the case of using $SiO_2$ matrix. The use of $SiO_xN_y$ matrix provides an effective way of controlling the mode confinement while maintaining or even enhancing the surface plasmon resonance properties.
