동점광산(銅店鑛山)의 붉은등 광체(鑛體)의 성인(成因)에 관한 연구(硏究) (A Study on Red Hill Copper Deposits of the Dongjom Mine)

  • The Red Hill deposit of the Dongjom Copper Mine is the most promising deposit of the mine and under intensive exploration at present although there are eight more deposits of vein type. With total 2160m drilling of 9 holes completed and 400m drilling on two holes underway, the nature of the Red Hill deposit has come more clear. The copper content in the whole ore body is meager so far as the exploration done up to present indicates, but there are evidences that mineralization covers all over the granodiorite cupola at the Red Hill area. The petrological work and assay on the samples taken by the writers indicate that granodiorite rocks can be divided into fresh zone and alteration zone. Alteration zone consists of potassic and argillic zones accompanyied by silicification zone on basis of Lowell and Guilbert model Argillic zone has closely related with a mineralization in the Red Hill deposit. It has been cleared that the alteration acompanyied with the mineralization took place not only &long vertical fissures but also in the irregular lateral zone, the nature of which is unknown. Judging from the results of exploration and petrochemical study on the Red Hill deposit which is imbedded in a southern part of the granodiorite cupola, it can be concluded by the writer's opinion that the Red Hill deposit is possibly a porphyry copper deposit, because the shape of the ore body, mineral zoning and paragenesis and wall rock alteration resemble to those of typical porphyry copper deposits. It is the writers' opinion that more exploration work is required so as to evaluate the deposit.

  • 미국 네바다주의 칼린형 금광상을 모델로 강원도 예미지역에 대한 칼린형 금광상의 잠재력을 평가하였다 연구지역에 분포하는 고생대 퇴적암은 스러스트 단층 및 습곡으로 구성된 뚜렷한 구조적 규제를 받았으며, 고각의 단층과 투수성이 큰 예미각력암 및 호층의 석회질 이암층이 결합되어 있다. 남부 지역에 분포하는 석회암에 대한 탈륨, 안티몬, 비소, 은, 납, 아연, 구리, 몰리브덴 및 텅스텐에 대한 원소부화도의 분포 양상은 칼린형 금광상과 지구화학적 유사성을 나타낸다. 또한, 탄소와 산소동위원소 값은 이들 지역이 광역적으로 열수의 영향을 받았음을 지시한다. 연구지역에 대한 지질구조, 화학분석, 변질광물 감정 및 안정 동위원소 분석 및 지구물리학적 해석 견과, 광화대는 북동부 방향으로 연장될 가능성이 높으며 이를 확인하기 위해서 앞으로 체계적인 정밀탐사가 필요하다.

충남 예산-공주-청양 지역 활석광석의 광물조합에 따른 화학적 특징 (Chemistry of Talc Ores in Relation to the Mineral Assemblages in the Yesan-Gongju-Cheongyang Area, Korea)

  • The talc of the Daeheung, Pyeongan, and Cheongdang (Shinyang) talc deposits in the Yesan-Gongju-Cheongyang area is a hydrothermal alteration product of serpentinite originated from ultramafic rocks. The mineral assemblages in alteration zones are: serpentine, serpentine-talc, talc, talc-chlorite, talc-phlogopite-chlorite, and talc-tremolite-chlorite. Chemical distributions in both the Al2O3-FeO-MgO system and the immobile elements suggest that the serpentine-talc and talc rocks are the reaction product of ultramafic rocks and silicic hydrothermal solution without addition of other granitic components, whereas chlorite-, phlogopite-, and tremolite-bearing rocks are the metasomatic alteration product of serpentinite by hydrothermal solution affected by granitic gneiss. Discontinuities in the immobile element ratios of mineral assemblages are due to changes in their mineralogy. The relative contents of Al2O3, TiO2, Zr in the talc-phlogopite-chlorite and talc-tremolite-chlorite rocks increase irregularly with increasing phlogopite, tremolite, and/or chlorite contents in contrast to other ore types. But the relative contents of Cr, Ni, and Co are uniform in all the mineral assemblages. Chemistry of each mineral assemblage formed by steatitization of serpentinite suggests that Cr, Co, Ni, MgO, and Fe2O3 are relatively immobile during the alteration, whereas SiO2, Al2O3, CaO, and K2O are highly increased. The contents of chlorite, phlogopite, and tremolite in each mineral assemblage might be controlled by addition of Al2O3, K2O, and CaO, respectively. The high contents of other elements than immobile elements in the altered rocks as compared with unaltered rocks indicate that a large amount of elements were introduced from hydrothermal solution up to about 8∼41% in total mass showing maximum value in the talc-phlogopite-chlorite rock.

Alteration of MRP2 expression and the graft outcome after liver transplantation

  • Purpose: Multidrug resistance-associated protein (MRP) 2 is a glutathione conjugate in the canalicular membrane of hepatocytes. Early graft damage after liver transplantation (LT) can result in alteration of MRP2 expression. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the relationship between the pattern of MRP2 alteration and graft outcome. Methods: Forty-one paraffin-embedded liver graft tissues obtained by protocol biopsy within 2 months after LT; these were stained using monoclonal antibodies of MRP2. We selected 15 live donor biopsy samples as a control, that showed homogenous canalicular staining for MRP2. The pattern of canalicular MRP2 staining of graft was classified into 3 types: homogenous (type C0), focal (type C1), and no (type C2,) staining of the canaliculi. Results: In total, 17.1% graft tissues were type C0, 36.6% were type C1, and 46.3% were type C2. The median operation time was longer in patients with type C2 (562.6 minutes) than in patients with type C0 (393.8 minutes) (P = 0.038). The rates of posttransplant complications were higher in patients with type C2 (100%) than in patients with type C0 (42.9%) and C1 (73.3%) (P < 0.001). Conclusion: MRP2 expression pattern was altered in 82.9% after LT. The pattern of MRP2 alteration was associated with longer operation time and higher rates of post-LT complications.

Transiting Nerve Rootlet Abnormalities on MRI after Lumbar Laminectomy: Associations with Persistent Postoperative Pain

  • Objective: To determine whether changes in the transiting nerve rootlet or its surroundings, as seen on MRI performed after lumbar hemilaminectomy, are associated with persistent postoperative pain (PPP), commonly known as the failed back surgery syndrome. Materials and Methods: Seventy-three patients (mean age, 61 years; 43 males and 30 females) who underwent single-level partial hemilaminectomy of the lumbar spine without postoperative complications or other level spinal abnormalities between January 2010 and December 2018 were enrolled. Two musculoskeletal radiologists evaluated transiting nerve rootlet abnormalities (thickening, signal alteration, distinction, and displacement), epidural fibrosis, and intrathecal arachnoiditis on MRI obtained one year after the operations. A spine surgeon blinded to the radiologic findings evaluated each patient for PPP. Univariable and multivariable analyses were used to evaluate the association between the MRI findings and PPP. Results: The presence of transiting nerve rootlet thickening, signal alteration, and ill-distinction was significantly different between the patients with PPP and those without, for both readers (p ≤ 0.020). Conversely, the presence of transiting nerve rootlet displacement, epidural fibrosis, and intrathecal arachnoiditis was not significantly different between the two groups (p ≥ 0.128). Among the above radiologic findings, transiting nerve rootlet thickening and signal alteration were the most significant findings in the multivariable analyses (p ≤ 0.009). Conclusion: On MRI, PPP was associated with transiting nerve rootlet abnormalities, including thickening, signal alterations, and ill-distinction, but was not associated with epidural fibrosis or intrathecal arachnoiditis. The most relevant findings were the nerve rootlet thickening and signal alteration.

장군 연-아연 광상의 모암변질대에서 산출되는 백색운모의 산상 및 화학조성 (Occurrence and Chemical Composition of White Mica from Wallrock Alteration Zone of Janggun Pb-Zn Deposit)

  • 장군 연-아연 광상은 남한의 4대(연화 광상, 신예미 광상, 울진 광상) 연-아연 광상중의 하나이었다. 이 광상 지질은 선캠브리아기의 원남층, 율리층군, 캠브리안기내지 오도비스기의 장산규암층, 두음리층, 장군 석회암층, 석탄기내지 이엽기의 동수곡층, 재산층, 쥐라기의 동화지층 및 이들을 관입한 중생대의 춘양화강암류로 구성된다. 이 연-아연 광상은 고생대 캠브리안기내지 오도비스기의 장군석회암층에 배태되는 열수교대형 광상에 해당된다. 이 광상의 연-아연 광화작용과 관련된 모암변질작용은 주로 능망간석화작용과 돌로마이트화 작용이 관찰되나 황철석화작용, 견운모화작용 및 녹니석화작용 등도 관찰된다. 모암변질작용은 연-아연 광체 에서 모암으로 감에 따라 연-아연 광체 -> 능망간석대 -> 돌로마이트대 -> 돌로마이트질 석회암대 -> 석회암 및 돌로마이트 대리암 변화된다. 백색운모는 모암변질대(능망간석화작용과 돌로마이트화작용)에서 Ca-돌로마이트, Ferroan ankerite, sideroplesite, 금홍석, 인회석, 유비철석, 황철석, 섬아연석, 방연석, 석영, 녹니석 및 방해석 등과 함께 중립내지 세립질 입단으로 산출된다. 이 백색운모의 화학조성은(K0.77-0.62Na0.03-0.00Ca0.03-0.00Ba0.00Sr0.01)0.82-0.64(Al1.72-1.48Mg0.48-0.20Fe0.04-0.01Mn0.03-0.00Ti0.01-0.00Cr0.00As0.01-0.00Co0.03-0.00Zn0.03-0.00Pb0.05-0.00Ni0.01-0.00)2.07-1.92 (Si3.43-3.33Al0.67-0.57)4.00O10(OH1.94-1.80F0.20-0.06)2.00로써 이론적인 이중팔면체형 운모류 값보다 Si가 높고 K, Na, Ca는 낮다. 또한 장군 연-아연 광상, 연화1 연-아연 광상 및 백전 금-은 광상의 모암변질대와 구문소일대 석회암에서 산출되는 백색운모는 백운모와 팬자이트에 해당되나 둔전 금-은 광상의 모암변질대에서 산출되는 백색운모는 백운모에 해당된다. 더불어 이들 광상의 모암변질대 및 구문소일대 석회암에서 산출되는 백색운모의 화학조성 변화는 주로 팬자이틱 또는 Tschermark 치환 메카니즘(장군 연-아연 광상), 주로 팬자이틱 또는 Tschermark 치환과 일부 illitic 치환 메카니즘(연화1 연-아연 광상, 둔전 금-은 광상, 백전 금-은 광상) 및 주로 팬자이틱 또는 Tschermark 치환과 일부 illitic 치환 및 Na+ <-> K+ 치환 메카니즘(구문소일대)에 의해 일어났음을 알 수 있다.

니트 상의 패턴의 맞음새 평가방법 연구 (A Study of Fitness Evaluation System for Knit Bodice Pattern)

  • With the purpose of developing a objective fitness evaluation system for knits, the basic bodice pattern for knit was drafted and the suitability of the altered pattern was evaluated. For each of nine different knits, six sleeveless shirts were made with patterns that were altered by different pattern alteration rate: 0%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, or 70% of the stretch rate of the knit. The panel that was composed of 25 clothing specialists evaluated the fitness of the garments. The distance from the dress form landmark to the garment landmark was measured from each experimental garment. And the results of garment fitness evaluation and the measurement of distance from the dress form landmark to garment landmark were compared. The results of this study are as follows: There was high correlation(r$\geq$0.9) between the evaluation of the panel about the garment fit and the landmarks distance. The stretch rate of knits affected the evaluation of the garment fit. The stretch rate in course of knits affected on the garment fit at crosswise direction. The suitable pattern alteration rate was lower than 30% for the knits with high stretch rate in course. It was concluded that in order to get the appropriate knit bodice pattern length, the front bodice pattern must be less shorten than the back bodice pattern. The alteration rate at hip line must be lower than for waist or bust line.

강원도 삼척지역의 스멕타이트질 점토의 산상 및 특성 (Occurrence and Physico-chemical Properties of the Smectite-rich Clays from the Samcheok Area in Kangwon-do, Korea)

  • The smectite-rich clays were found locally in Paleozoic calcareous sedimentary rocks in the Samcheok area. Their occurrences were investigated in detail, and the physico-chemical properties of the clays were also determined by X-ray diffraction, chemical analysis, thermal analysis and cation exchanging experiment. The smectite clays occur as the fissure filling dyke developed in calcareous sedimentary rock and as alteration products of intrusive rhyolite. Most of clays occur at the contact between the sedimentary rock and the rhyolite, and the alteration zone was observed only in rhyolite body close to the contact. Judging from their occurrences, it is believed that the smectite-rich clays in this area were formed by the hydrothemal alteration. The smectite clays from the area are mainly composed of Ca-montmorillonite, and associated with small quantities of quartz, opal-CT and feldspar. The montmorillonites from this area are lower in Fe content, and higher in exchangeable Ca ion, compared to those of bentonite from the Yangnam-Yeongil area.

안양장석광상의 광화작용에 관한 연구 (A Study on Mineralization of Anyang Feldspar Ore Deposit)

  • The Anyang Feldspar Mine is located in Seoksu Dong, Anyang City, Kyeonggi Do, Korea and has a long exploitation record that is once produced high grade sodium feldspars, for glaze. Geologically, This area is mainly composed of Mesozoic Jurassic biotite granite (Anyang granite) which intruded Precambrian Kyeonggi Gneiss Complex outcroped near the mining area. The deposit is localized on the southwest hill side of Anyang granite batholith and is confined in hydrothemal alteration zone formed by sodium-rich alkali hydrothermal fluids along the fractures of leucocratic granite showing later differentiation facies in the biotite granite. The hydrothermal alteration is characterized by albitization, sericitization, and desilication. The microscopic observation and EPMA, XRD analysis of the feldspar ores show that major minerals are albite and quartz and accessory minerals are orthoclase and sericite, and they are rarely associated with perthite, fluorite, zircon, kaolinite, molybdenite, microcline and iron-oxide. In the REE pattern, the strong negative Eu anomalies of the feldspar ores indicate the influence of feldspar fractionation and show similiar pattern of the host leucocratic granite. The filling temperature of quartz crystals in ore zone ranges from $276^{\circ}C$ to $342^{\circ}C$, and it is inferred that the alteration occurred by the hypothermal solution.

제주지역 여고생의 교복 변형에 따른 치수 및 교복만족도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Size of the Alterated School Uniforms of High School Girls in Cheju and the Level of Their Satisfaction)

  • The purpose of this study was to survey the high school girls' alteration of school uniforms concerned about both size satisfaction and dissatisfaction and to improve the size of school uniforms. The subjects were 1,007 girls attending high schools in Cheju. The questionnaire survey was done from July 8th to Sep. 21th, 2001. According to the survey, 67.3 percentile of the interviewed girls alterated their uniforms. It was appeared that they alterated skirts more than blouses as a way of shortening. The main reason of alteration is ill-fitting uniforms, most of girls had a positive idea to alterate uniforms. Dissatisfaction of uniforms is mainly caused by the large size not by the small size. It was appeared that dissatisfaction rate of skirt was higher than that of blouse. The large part of dissatisfaction was appeared on waist circumference of blouse and hem circumference of skirt. The girls who experienced alterating the part of uniforms such as waist circumference of skirt, skirt length and hem circumference had high satisfaction rate. And a result of analyzing the level of satisfaction with uniforms-size-satisfaction/dissatisfaction showed the significant differences in fashion, factors-aesthetics and factors-activity of skirt and blouse.
