수온자료는 다수의 첨두를 가진 분포형태를 보이고 있기 때문에 정규분포로 가정하는 경우 분석에 큰 오차가 수반된다. 본 연구에서는 쌍봉 분포함수 형태인 가우스 혼합분포 함수를 수온의 분포함수로 가정하여 최적매개변수를 추정하고, 추정된 최적 매개변수와 자료의 기본적인 통계정보(평균 및 분산 등)의 관계분석을 수행하였다. 또한 자료의 주 특성값인 평균, 표준편차, 왜곡도로부터 가우스 혼합분포 매개변수인, ${\alpha}_1$, ${\mu}_1$, ${\sigma}_1$, ${\alpha}_2$, ${\mu}_2$, ${\sigma}_2$를 산정하여 수온 자료의 빈도분포를 산정하는 추정공식을 개발하였다. 개발된 추정공식은 RMS 오차가 5% 정도로 관측 자료를 이용한 결과와 우수한 일치를 보이고 있다.

[ ${\alpha}-Al_2O_3$ ] precursor was synthesised by sol-gel method using aluminum sulfate, sodium sulfate and sodium carbonate as law materials. The flaky ${\alpha}-Al_2O_3$ crystals were prepared by heating using precursor about $1,050^{\circ}C$. In this study, the effect of some transition-metal sulfate ($FeSO_4,\;SnSO_4,\;ZnSO_4$) addition have been investigated. When iron sulfate was added, it could see that act on impurities in crystal growth process. In case of tin sulfate, distribution of Platelets was very broad. When flaky ${\alpha}-Al_2O_3$ crystals were prepared zinc sulfate addition, thickness, size, and distribution of platelets was suited to industrial application. The average diameter of flaky ${\alpha}-Al_2O_3$ crystals was about 20 $\mu$m, and its thickness was about 0.3 $\mu$m. Increasing addition of zinc sulfate, thickness of ${\alpha}-Al_2O_3$ platelet was decreased.

Present study investigates the fuzzy reliability of some systems using intuitionistic fuzzy Weibull lifetime distribution, in which the lifetime parameters are assumed to be fuzzy parameter due to uncertainty and inaccuracy of data. Expressions for fuzzy reliability, fuzzy mean time to failure, fuzzy hazard function and their ${\alpha}$-cut have been discussed when systems follow intuitionistic fuzzy Weibull lifetime distribution. A numerical example is also taken to illustrate the methodology to calculate the fuzzy reliability characteristics of systems.

The purpose of this study was to develop a breeding technique to increase Hanwoo of superior characteristics. In the present study, reproductive status of Hanwoo such as size of farm, breeding system and gestationi length was investigated. In addition, effect of low dose administration of prostaglandin F2$\alpha$(PGF2$\alpha$) on luteolysis was examined. The size of farm was classified by the total number of cows and the number of breeding stocks, respectively. The distribution of herd size of < 5, 6~10, 11~30, 31~50 and > heads was 31%, 15%, 39%, 4% and 11%, respectively. Furthermore, the distribution of breeding stock size of <5, 6~10, 11~30, 31~50 and > 50 heads was 36%, 28%, 31%, 3% and 3%, respectively. Average parity was 2.1 in breeding stock. In breeding pattern, artificial in semination(A.I), estrus synchronization-A.I and natural mating was 92.7%, 2.4% and 4.9% respectively. Gestational length of Hanwoo was ranged 253~316 days (average length : 285 days) after estrus( estrus=0). To induce luteolysis, PGF2$\alpha$ was injected into ovarian parenchyma by a modified ovarian injector. The effect of administration of 6mg PGF2$\alpha$ on luteolysis and estrus induction was betweer (P<0.01) when PGF2$\alpha$ was administered into ovarian parechyma than when administered intramuscluarly (71 vs. 91%). When PGF2$\alpha$ was injected into ovarian parenchyma, a decreased concentration to 3 mg did not significantly decreaed its luteolytic effect(92%). When AI was performed following PGF2$\alpha$ treatment, the intraovarian injection group yielded a higher pregnancy rate(69 vs. 88%) than the IM injection groups, regardless of the dosage. In conclusion these results suggest that increasing herd size and regular reproductive management are needed to improve reproductive efficiency in Hanwoo industry. Furthermore, intraovarian administration of PGF2$\alpha$ is effective way to induce luteolysis compared with intramuscular injection.

본 논문은 금속복합재료를 반용융상태로 재가열하여 Thixoforming을 하는데 필요한 소재를 제공하기 위한 장비 설계와 제조방법 등에 관한 내용을 소개하고 있다. 장비 설계에서 기지재내에 강화재가 균일하게 분산되도록 하기 위하여 강화재의 연속주입 방법과 강화재의 온도를 제어하는 방법을 소개하고 있다. 일정한 양의 강화재를 기지재료 내에 분산시키는 것은 균일 혼합을 위하여 필요한 기술이다. 또한 분산시 강화재의 수분제거를 위하여 강화재의 온도를 제어하면서 연속적으로 강제분산시키는 것은 균일분산을 위하여 필요하다. 기지재의 초정 $\alpha$의 크기가 강화재의 분산성에 크게 영향을 미치기 때문에 기지재의 초기 온도가 초정$\alpha$의 크기에 미치는 영향 등을 검토하여 복합재료 빌렛트의 제조조건에 이용하였다.

In order to analyze the effect of the chemical structure and the cetane number of reformed diesel fuels by ultrasonic energy irradiation, proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer$(^1H-NMR)$ was used. From the study, following conclusive remarks can be made. 1) Branch Index(BI), aromatics percentages, and alpha methyl radical$(H_{\alpha})$ of the reformed diesel fuels by ultrasonic energy irradiation decreased more than the conventional ones. 2) All the cetane numbers which were calculated from carbon type structure and hydrogen type distribution of the reformed diesel fuels increased more than the conventional ones. 3) It is more reasonable to predict cetane number equation from carbon type structure than from hydrogen type distribution. 4) BI, aromatics percentages, and $H_{\alpha}$ on both for conventional fuel and reformed diesel fuels by ultrasonic energy irradiation are inversely proportional to cetane number fur these fuels.

We present a spectroscopic study of the globular clusters (GCs) in the giant elliptical galaxy (gE) NGC 4636 in the Virgo cluster. Line indices of GCs in NGC 4636 are measured from the integrated spectra obtained with Faint Object Camera and Spectrograph (FOCAS) on the Subaru Telescope. We derive the [Fe/H] of the GCs in NGC 4636 using Brodie & Huchra (1990) method. The [Z/H], age, and alpha-element of the GCs are obtained from the comparison of the Lick line indices with the SSP model grid. We investigate the distribution and radial variation of the metallicity, age, and alpha-element of NGC 4636 GCs. The metallicity distribution of NGC 4636 GCs shows a bimodality. The chemical properties of these GCs show little radial variation. These results will be discussed with regard to the formation and evolution of NGC 4636.

We study the scaling of the price fluctuation in the Korean housing market. From the numerical analysis, we show that the normalized return distribution of the housing price, P(r), has a fat-tail and is well approximated by a power-law, $P(r){\sim}r^{-({\alpha}+1)}$, with ${\alpha}{\simeq}3$ for the whole data set. However, if we divide the data into groups based on the trading patterns, then the value of ${\alpha}$ for positive tail and negative tail can be different depending on the trading patterns. We also find that the autocorrelation function of the housing price decays much slower than that of the stock exchange markets, which shows a unique feature of the housing market distinguished from the other financial systems.

Symbiotic stars, believed to be binary systems of a mass-losing giant and a white dwarf with an emission nebula, are known to exhibit very broad wings around Hex that extend to $\~10^3km\;s^{-1}$. The wing formation mechanism is not a settled matter and recently Lee (2000) proposed that Raman scattering of Ly$\beta$ by neutral hydrogen is responsible for the broad H$\alpha$ wings. In this model, it is predicted that. the Hex wings will be polarized depending on the geometric and kinematic distribution of the scatterers relative to the UV emission region. In this paper, we investigate the polarization of Hex wings in symbiotic stars. Noting that many symbiotic stars possess bipolar nebular morphology, we assume that the distribution of neutral scatterers follows the similar pattern with a receding velocity of several tens of km $s^{-1}$ that mimics the expansion of the neutral envelope of the nebula. It is found that the red wing is more strongly polarized than the blue and main part and that the polarization direction is along the equatorial plane. We obtain a typical degree of polarization $\~10$ percent, however, it varies depending on the detailed distribution of H I scatterers We conclude that spectropolarimetry will provide very important information on the origin of the Hex wings.

This research examined the effect, which it follows in particle size distribution change of CaHPO$_4$ㆍ2$H_{2}O$ (DCPD). We used two kinds of compositions; tetracalcium phosphate (TTCP)/dicalcium phosphate dihydrate (DCPD) composition and $\alpha$-tricalcium phosphate ($\alpha$-TCP)TTCP/DCPD composition. As the result, the mean particle size of the DCPD decreased, the setting tine shortened at all compositions. The reference powder (DR), which did not milling, showed about 2 times strength value compared with other milling sample. Especially, the compressive strength of 60 : 20 : 20 sample (DR(do$_{0.5}$)=12.08 $\mu\textrm{m}$) after curing 7 days in simulated body fluid solution was 40$\pm$0.5 MPa, which was the highest. This resulted from the packing density at $\alpha$-TCP/TTCP/DCPD combination.
