In this paper we derive some optimal convex combination bounds related to arithmetic mean. We find the greatest values ${\alpha}_1$ and ${\alpha}_2$ and the least values ${\beta}_1$ and ${\beta}_2$ such that the double inequalities $${\alpha}_1T(a,b)+(1-{\alpha}_1)H(a,b)<A(a,b)<{\beta}_1T(a,b)+(1-{\beta}_1)H(a,b)$$ and $${\alpha}_2T(a,b)+(1-{\alpha}_2)G(a,b)<A(a,b)<{\beta}_2T(a,b)+(1-{\beta}_2)G(a,b)$$ holds for all a,b > 0 with $a{\neq}b$. Here T(a,b), H(a,b), A(a,b) and G(a,b) denote the second Seiffert, harmonic, arithmetic and geometric means of two positive numbers a and b, respectively.

Background : The importance of pro-inflammatory cytokines, especially tumor necrosis factor $\alpha$ (INF-$\alpha$) and interleukin-1$\beta$ (IL-1$\beta$), have been extensively documented in the generation of inflammatory lung disease. Lung epithelial cells are also actively involved in initiating and maintaining inflammation by producing pro-inflammatory mediators. Understanding the mechanism of pro-inflammatory cytokine expression in lung epithelial cells is crucial to the development of new therapeutic modalities for inflammatory lung disease. Transcription of most pro-inflammatory cytokines is dependent on the activation of NF-${\kappa}B$. However, the relationship between pro-inflammatory cytokine expression and NF-${\kappa}B/I{\kappa}B$ pathway in lung epithelial cells is not clear. Methods : BEAS-2B, A549, Na-H157, NCI-H719 cells were stimulated with IL-$1{\beta}$ or TNF-$\alpha$ at various times, and then IL-8 and TNF-$\alpha$mRNA expressions were assayed by Northern blot analysis. IL-$1{\beta}$ or TNF-$\alpha$-induced NF-${\kappa}B$ activation was assessed by the nuclear translocation of p65 NF-${\kappa}B$ subunit. The degradation of $I{\kappa}B{\alpha}$ and $I{\kappa}B{\beta}$ by IL-$1{\beta}$ or TNF-$\alpha$stimulation was assayed by Western blot analysis. The phosphorylation of $I{\kappa}B{\alpha}$ was evaluated by Western blot analysis after pre-treating cells with proteasome inhibitor followed by IL-$1{\beta}$ or TNF-$\alpha$ stimulation. The basal level of IKK $\alpha$ expression was evaluated by Western blot analysis. Results: $I{\kappa}B{\alpha}$ and $I{\kappa}B{\alpha}$ was rapidly degraded after 5 minutes of incubation with IL-$1{\beta}$ or TNF-$\alpha$ in BEAS-2B, A549, and NCI-H157 cells. The activation of NF-${\kappa}B{\alpha}$ and the induction of IL-8 and TNF-$\alpha$ mRNA expression were observed by IL-$1{\beta}$ or TNF-$\alpha$ stimulation in these cells. In contrast, neither the changes in NF-${\kappa}B/I{\kappa}B$ pathway nor IL-8 and TNF-$\alpha$mRNA expression was induced by IL-$1{\beta}$ or TNF-$\alpha$ stimulation in NCI-H719 cells. IL-$1{\beta}$ and TNF-$\alpha$-induced $I{\kappa}B$ phosphorylation was observed in BEAS-2B, A549, and NCI-H157 cells, but not in NCI-H719 cells. The basal level of IKK$\alpha$ expression was not different between cell. Conclusion : NF-${\kappa}B/I{\kappa}B$ pathway plays an important role in the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokine in most lung epithelial cells. The absence of the effect on NF-${\kappa}B/I{\kappa}B$ pathway in NCI-H719 cells sæms to be due to the defect in the intracellular signal transduction pathway upstream to IKK.
Let B denote the unit ball in $C^n$, and ν the normalized Lebesgue measure on B. For $\alpha$ > -1, define $dv_\alpha$(z) = $c_\alpha$$(1-\midz\mid^2)^{\alpha}$dν(z), z $\in$ B. Here $c_\alpha$ is a positive constant such that $v_\alpha$(B) = 1. Let H(B) denote the space of all holomorphic functions in B. For $p\geq1$, define the Bergman-Privalov space $(AN)^{p}(v_\alpha)$ by $(AN)^{p}(v_\alpha)$ = ${f\inH(B)$ : $\int_B{log(1+\midf\mid)}^pdv_\alpha\;<\;\infty}$ In this paper we prove that a function $f\inH(B)$ is in $(AN)^{p}$$(v_\alpha)$ if and only if $(1+\midf\mid)^{-2}{log(1+\midf\mid)}^{p-2}\mid\nablaf\mid^2\;\epsilon\;L^1(v_\alpha)$ in the case 1<p<$\infty$, or $(1+\midf\mid)^{-2}\midf\mid^{-1}\mid{\nabla}f\mid^2\;\epsilon\;L^1(v_\alpha)$ in the case p = 1, where $nabla$f is the gradient of f with respect to the Bergman metric on B. This is an analogous result to the characterization of the Hardy spaces by M. Stoll [18] and that of the Bergman spaces by C. Ouyang-W. Yang-R. Zhao [13].
Objectives : This study was aimed to verify the cytoprotective function, antioxidative effect and inflammation genes inhibitory effects of Lycium chinense Milie. Therefore the generation of superoxide anion radical ( $O_2\;^-$), peroxynitrite ($ONOO^-$), nitric oxide (NO) and prostaglandin $E_2$$(PGE_2)$ was investigated in the renal epithelial cells of mouse. Effects of Lycium chinense Milie on the expression of inflammation-related proteins, $IKK-{\alpha}$. $p-IKK-\alpha\beta$, $p-I{\kappa}B-\alpha$, $NF-{\kappa}B$ (p50, p65), COX-2 and iNOS, were examined by western blotting. Methods : For this study, the fluorescent probes were used, namely dihydrorhodamine 123 (DHR 123), 4.5-diaminofluorescein (DAF-2) and 2',7'-dichlorodihydrofluorescein diacetate (DCFDA). Western blotting was performed using anti-$IKK-\alpha$, anti-phospho $IKK-\alpha\beta$, anti-phospho $I{\kappa}B-\alpha$, anti-$NF-{\kappa}B$ (p50, p65), anti-COX-2 and anti-iNOS, respectively. Results : Lyciutn chinense Milie reduced $H_{2}O_{2}$-induced cell death dose-dependently. It inhibited the generation of $O_2\;^-$, $ONOO^-$, NO and $PGE_2$ in the $H_{2}O_{2}$-treated renal epithelial cells of mouse in vitro. Lycium chinense Milie inhibited the expression of $IKK-\alpha$, $p-IKK-\alpha\beta,\;p-I{\kappa}B-\alpha$, COX-2 and iNOS genes by means of decreasing activation of $NF-{\kappa}B$. Conclusions : According to above results. Lycium chinense Milie recommended to be applied in treatment for the inflammatory process and inflammation-related diseases.

Condensation of 4-amino-5-mercapto-3-($\alpha$-naphthyl)-s-triazole (1) with cyanogen bromide gives 6-amino-3-($\alpha$-naphthyl)-s-triazolo[3,4-b]-1,3,4-thiadiazole (2) which on condensation with chloranil yields 3,9-di-($\alpha$-naphthyl)-6,14-dioxo-bis-(s-triazolo[3,4-b]-1,3,4-thiadiazolo[3,2-b]imidazo[4,5-b]cyclohexane]-5a,6a-diene) (3). 3-($\alpha$-naphthyl)-s-triazolo[3,4-b]-1,3,4-thiadiazolo[3,2-b]imidazo[4,5-b]quinoxaline (4) is obtained by a similar condensation of (2) with 2,3-dichloroquinoxaline. The reaction of (2) with $\alpha$-haloketones followed by bromination affords 7-aryl-3-($\alpha$-naphthyl)-imidazo[2,1-b]-1,3,4-thiadiazolo[2,3-c]-s-triazoles (5) and their 6-bromo analogues 6 respectively. The structures of all newly synthesized compounds were established on the basis of elemental analyses, IR, $^1H$-NMR. The antibacterial and antifungal activities of all newly synthesized compounds have also been evaluated.
The reaction between methyl 2,3-di-O-benzyl-4,6-di-O-mesyl-${\alpha}$-D-glucopyranoside (1b) and potassium superoxide resulted in hydrolysis, and gave methyl 2,3-di-O-benzyl-${\alpha}$-D-glucopyranoside (1) as a sole product. When the reaction was performed with a vicinal dimesylate, methyl 4,6-O-benzylidene-2,3-di-O-mesyl-${\alpha}$-D-altropyranoside (4b), again the hydrolysis product, methyl 4,6-O-benzylidene-${\alpha}$-D-altropyranoside (4) was obtained. However, the reaction of potassium superoxide with another vicinal dimesylate, methyl 4,6-O-benzylidene-2,3-di-O-mesyl-${\alpha}$-D-glucopyranoside (3b), nucleophilic displacement took place to afford methyl 4,6-O-benzylidene-${\alpha}$-D-altropyranoside (4). Apparently different results from two trans vicinal dimesylates, 3b and 4b are explained by the transient formation of epoxides, methyl 2,3-anhydro-4,6-O-benzylidene-${\alpha}$-D-allopyranoside (8) and methyl 2,3-anhydro-4,6-O-benzylidene-${\alpha}$-D-mannopyranoside (9) by $KO_2$. The reaction between the allo epoxide 8 and $KO_2$ gave altro 4. The manno epoxide 9 also afforded altro 4 as the major product. Facile epoxide formation by the reaction of a vicinal dimesylate and superoxide was also observed with 3-O-benzyl-1,2-O-isopropylidene-5,6-di-O-mesyl-${\alpha}$-D-glucofuranose: 5,6-anhydro-3-O-benzyl-1,2-O-isopropylidene-${\beta}$-L-idofuranose was obtained.
Let $T^{\alpha}_{\lambda}$(p, A, B) denote the class of functions $$f(z)=z^p-{\sum\limits^{\infty}_{k=1}}{\mid}a_{p+k}{\mid}z^{p+k}$$ which are regular and p valent in the unit disc U = {z: |z| <1} and satisfying the condition $\left|{\frac{{e^{ia}}\{{\frac{f^{\prime}(z)}{z^{p-1}}-p}\}}{(A-B){\lambda}p{\cos}{\alpha}-Be^{i{\alpha}}\{\frac{f^{\prime}(z)}{z^{p-1}}-p\}}}\right|$<1, $z{\in}U$, where 0<${\lambda}{\leq}1$, $-\frac{\pi}{2}$<${\alpha}$<$\frac{\pi}{2}$, $-1{\leq}A$<$B{\leq}1$, 0<$B{\leq}1$ and $p{\in}N=\{1,2,3,{\cdots}\}$. In this paper, we obtain sharp results concerning coefficient estimates, distortion theorem and radius of convexity for the class $T^{\alpha}_{\lambda}$(p, A, B). It is further shown that the class $T^{\alpha}_{\lambda}$(p, A, B) is closed under "arithmetic mean" and "convex linear combinations". We also obtain class preserving integral operators of the form $F(z)=\frac{p+c}{z^c}{\int^z_0t^{c-1}}f(t)dt$, c>-p, for the class $T^{\alpha}_{\lambda}$(p, A, B). Conversely when $F(z){\in}T^{\alpha}_{\lambda}$(p, A, B), radius of p valence of f(z) has also determined.
Objective: To investigate interferon (IFN) alpha 2 b for treating patients with JAK2V617F positive polycythemia vera (PV) and essential thrombocytosis (ET). Methods: Interferon alpha 2 b was used to treat patients with JAK2V617F positive PV and ET. In control group, hydroxyurea was used. Endpoint of study was to compare rates of hematological and molecular remission. Results: Patients in the interferon alpha 2 b group achieved higher rates of hematologic and molecular remission than patients in the hydroxyurea group, with a lower incidence of thrombosis. Conclusion: Compared with hydroxyurea, interferon alpha 2 b could reduce JAK2V617F load for patients with PV and ET, and achieve higher molecular remission, improve treatment efficacy and reduce complications.

This paper proposes a discrete logarithm algorithm that remarkably reduces the execution time of Pollard's Rho algorithm. Pollard's Rho algorithm computes congruence or collision of ${\alpha}^a{\beta}^b{\equiv}{\alpha}^A{\beta}^B$ (modp) from the initial value a = b = 0, only to derive ${\gamma}$ from $(a+b{\gamma})=(A+B{\gamma})$, ${\gamma}(B-b)=(a-A)$. The basic Pollard's Rho algorithm computes $x_i=(x_{i-1})^2,{\alpha}x_{i-1},{\beta}x_{i-1}$ given ${\alpha}^a{\beta}^b{\equiv}x$(modp), and the general algorithm computes $x_i=(x_{i-1})^2$, $Mx_{i-1}$, $Nx_{i-1}$ for randomly selected $M={\alpha}^m$, $N={\beta}^n$. This paper proposes 4-model Pollard Rho algorithm that seeks ${\beta}_{\gamma}={\alpha}^{\gamma},{\beta}_{\gamma}={\alpha}^{(p-1)/2+{\gamma}}$, and ${\beta}_{{\gamma}^{-1}}={\alpha}^{(p-1)-{\gamma}}$) from $m=n={\lceil}{\sqrt{n}{\rceil}$, (a,b) = (0,0), (1,1). The proposed algorithm has proven to improve the performance of the (0,0)-basic Pollard's Rho algorithm by 71.70%.
Effects of Ramaria botrytis methanol extract on hepatotoxicity in $benzo({\alpha})pyrene(B({\alpha})P)-treated$ mice were investigated. R. botrytis methanol extract was intraperitioneally injected once a day for successive 5 days, followed by treatment with $B({\alpha})P$ on the fifth day. Antioxidant activities of R. botrytis methanol extract were examined by measuring the free radical-scavenging effect on 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical. In DPPH method, R. botrytis methanol extract showed strong antioxidative activies. The increased activities of superoxide dismutase, catalase, and glutathione peroxidase after $B({\alpha})P-treatment$ were decreased by treatment of R. botrytis methanol extract. Glutathione content and glutathione S-transferase activity depleted by $B({\alpha})P$ were significantly increased, but elevation of lipid peroxide content induced by $B({\alpha})P$ was decreased by R. botrytis methanol extract. These results suggest that R. botrytis methanol extract is believe to be a possible protective effect against $B(\alpha)P-induced$ hepatotoxicity in mice.
