We investigated the improvement of viewing angle using a patterned double twisted (PDT) vertical-alignment (VA) cell mode on a homeotropic alignment layer. Good voltage-transmittance curves for negative dielectric anisotropic nematic liquid crystal (NLC) using the PDT-VA cell without a negative compensation film were obtained. The viewing angle of the PDT-VA cell without a negative compensation film was wider than that of a conventional VA cell.

두 서열을 비교하여 유사성(similarity)이나 상동성(homology)를 찾기 위한 서열 정렬 방법 중에서 지역 정렬에 많이 사용되는 Smith-Waterman 알고리즘의 제한점인 Mosaic effect와 Shadow effect를 극복하기 위한 효율적인 방법을 살펴보고, 하나의 최대 값이 아닌 다수개의 최대 값을 찾아 다수개를 정렬함으로써 서열내에 존재 할 수 있는 다수개의 지역 정렬을 찾고 Normalized sequence alignment 알고리즘을 이용하여 서열 정렬된 결과들의 우선 순위를 매겨본다.

The first design elements of horizontal alignment are very important things for improvement or movement in Railway. When the design elements are lost or damaged, it is necessary to recalculation. In this paper, an investigation is made on the method of representation of horizontal alignment as a result of design element using GPS method. The results show that northing calculated about $2\~10$ meters and easting calculated about $0\~7$ meters between calculated and design data in center points.

This paper suggests Kalman filter formulation using by precision GINS output angle for SDINS initial transfer alignment of missile. The Kalman filter model was derived from quaternion parameters and the transfer alignment system by angle matching method satisfies azimuth observability in horizontal angular motion. The estimated error of SDINS attitude settles to less 3mrad(1.sigma.) in 200 seconds at proper sea state.

This paper presents algorithm including Kalman filter for transfer alignment of velocity and quaternion matching method, when master inertial navigation system is a gimbled type and slave inertial navigation system is a strapdown type on a cruising ship which is naturally in motion of horizontal axis attitude. And relative attitudes are considered on a measurement equation for quaternion matching between master INS and slave INS.

Using a $Ir(ppy)_3$ doped in the TCTA:$Bepp_2$ mixed host and N- and P-doped in TCTA:$Bepp_2$ charge transport layers, an ideal energy level alignment technology is developed. A very low roll-off current efficiency of 7.4 % at a luminance of $10,000\;cd/m^2$ with this technology is demonstrated in green phosphorescent OLEDs.

We have investigated electric field effect on the formation of phase separated composite organic film structure which is utilized by anisotropic phase separation from LC and prepolymer mixtures. Application of bias field resulted in a significant change in liquid crystal alignment between glass substrate and polymer layer. The liquid crystal molecules segregated into the inter-electrodes and formed twisted structure which is the result of imprinting of LC alignment by the bias field on polymer layers during polymerization process.

Initial alignment of gimballed INS is accomplished by the gyrocompassing techniques. These cannot be used in the case of strapdown system where the inertial instruments are directly strapped down to a vehicle frame. The basic objective of this paper is the development of digital methods performing the initial alignment of a SDINS from vibration and sway currupted data on the launch pad.

HEMU-400X train have been developed and will be operated over 350km/h. In this paper, the influence of vertical alignment on running behavior and safety for HEMU-400X train was instigated by numerical analysis. The wavelength and amplitude of vertical alignment were considered in scenario of this numerical analysis. This research is based on just numerical analysis and the final result which include measurement will be published in the future.
