  • We need to study about lower extremity alignment because the structure dictates the function of lower extremity. Through lower extremity alignment assessment in static posture, we recognize abnormal structural conditions which could affect dynamic motion such as gait. To evaluate of lower extremity alignment provide so many useful information, but method of measurement is so limited. Therefore, this review will assist understanding for measurement of lower extremity alignment in static posture. From now on study about the objective measurement method must be achieved much more in physical therapy.

  • he FPCs(Flexible Printed Circuit) are currently used in several electronic products like digital cameras, cellular phones because of flexible material characteristics. Because the FPC is usually small size and flexible, only one FPC should not enter chip mounting process, instead, several FPCs is placed on the large rigid pallette and go to the chip mounting process. Currently the job of mounting FPC on the pallette is carried by totally manual way. Thus, the goals of the research is develop the automatic machine of FPC mounting on pallette using vision alignment. The procedure of operating machine is firstly to measure alignment error of FPC, correct alignment errors, and finally mount well-aligned FPC on the pallette. The vision technology is used to measure alignment error accurately, and precision motion control is used in correcting errors nd mounting FPC. The two picker heads handling two FPC together is used to increase the productivity.

  • The influence factors on the development of information technology(IT) infrastructure for knowledge management(KM) were not empirically investigated and identified. This study empirically examines the relationships among strategic performance measurement systems(SPMS), organizational learning, the strategic alignment of business strategy with information systems(IS) strategy, which is the necessary condition to provide the kinds of knowledge required for the successful realization of business strategy, and the active construction of IT infrastructure for KM. This study demonstrates that SPMS directly affects the organizational learning, with which the members of an organization acquire the types of knowledge about strategic goals or objectives and the ways attaining these goals, and indirectly influences the IS strategic alignment through organizational learning. Thus, the alignment between business strategy and IS strategy can be facilitated and activated by the adoption and implementation of SPMS. According to the results of this study, it is observed that the IS strategic alignment and organizational learning positively affect the activation of the development of KM IT infrastructure in a firm. The results of this study also shows that the construction of KM IT infrastructure, which supports the realization of KM activities, such as knowledge creation, transfer and sharing, can enhance the strategic position of a firm, and the intensified competitiveness of a firm can lead to the improvement of performance.

  • Purpose: Most studies have reported that the abdominal muscle thickness differs according to gender but none of these studies reported a gender difference in the thickness of the multifidus and erector spine. The spinal alignment is affected by the left and right balance in the trunk muscle. The aim of this study was to identify the trunk muscle symmetry according to gender and the correlations of the trunk muscle thickness with spinal alignment. Methods: Forty three subjects(27 males and 16 females) were enrolled in this study. The trunk muscle thickness was measured by ultrasonography. The trunk muscle, which consisted of the rectus abdominis (RA), external oblique abdominis (EOA), internal oblique abdominis (IOA), transverse abdominis (TrA), erector spine (ES), and multifidus (MF), was measured. The spinal alignment was measured by Formetric-III 3D analysis. The dependent variables of the spinal alignment were the trunk imbalance, trunk inclination, lateral deviation, and surface rotation. Results: The muscle thickness of the EOA muscle increased more significantly in the right side than the left side (p<0.05). Each left and right difference in the muscle thickness between the male and female group showed a significant difference (p<0.05) except for the TrA thickness. Significant positive correlations were observed between the ES and lateral deviation and between the TrA with trunk imbalance. Conclusion: These results suggest that asymptomatic men have a greater trunk muscle thickness than women but there was no difference between the left and right in healthy adults. The trunk muscle thickness of ES, TrA is related by the spinal alignment.

  • This paper suggests a relative orbit control strategy for the CubeSat Astronomy by NASA and Yonsei using Virtual Telescope Alignment eXperiment (CANYVAL-X) mission whose main goal is to demonstrate an essential technique, which is an arrangement among two satellites and a specific celestial object, referred to as inertial alignment, for a next-generation virtual space telescope. The inertial alignment system is a relative orbit control system and has requirements for the relative state. Through the proposed orbit control strategy, consisting of separation, proximity keeping, and reconfiguration, the requirements will be satisfied. The separation direction of the two CubeSats with respect to the orbital plane is decided to provide advantageous initial condition to the orbit controller. Proximity keeping is accomplished by differential atmospheric drag control (DADC), which generates acceleration by changing the spacecraft's effective cross section via attitude control rather than consuming propellant. Reconfiguration is performed to meet the requirements after proximity keeping. Numerical simulations show that the requirements can be satisfied by the relative orbit control strategy. Furthermore, through numerical simulations, it is demonstrated that the inertial alignment can be achieved. A beacon signal had been received for several months after the launch; however, we have lost the signal at present.

  • This paper proposes a alignment system using edge feature. An alignment system obtains the position and orientation of printed circuit board(PCB) or liquid crystal display(LCD) panel through the fiducial marks. Thus, it is the indicator of the system performance how accurate we detect the positions of the fiducial marks in the target image. Edges have the geometrical characteristics such as positions, lengths, and shapes. These features are suitable for finding the marks and have the advantages of lighting variations, model occlusion, as well as variations in scale and angle. The performance of the proposed system is validated through the alignment experiment using an display panel alignment system included X, Y axis, and rotatable stage.

  • Identifying orthologous paralogenes is a fundamental problem in comparative genomics and can facilitate the study of evolutionary history of the species. Existing approaches for locating paralogs make use of local alignment based algorithms such as BLAST. However, there are cases that genes with high alignment scores are not paralogenes. On the other hand, whole genome alignment tools are designed to locate orthologs. Most of these tools are based on some unique substrings (called anchors) in the corresponding orthologous pair to identify them. Intuitively, these tools may not be useful in identifying orthologous paralogenes as paralogenes are very similar and there may not be enough unique anchors. However, our study shows that this is not true. Paralogenes although are similar, they have undergone different mutations. So, there are enough unique anchors for identifying them. Our contributions include the followings. Based on this counter-intuitive finding, we propose to employ the whole genome alignment tools to help verifying paralogenes. Our experiments on five pairs of human-mouse chromosomes show that our approach is effective and can identify most of the mis-classified paralog groups (more than 80%). We verify our finding that whole genome alignment tools are able to locate orthologous paralogenes through a simulation study. The result from the study confirms our finding.
