  • This paper describes the remote tracking algorithm using measurements (azimuth, elevation, and slant range) of the radar ground station. Kalman filter model for noise reduction of the measured information is first derived by linearizing with respect to angle, angular rate, range, and range rate. And then a tracking algorithm is introduced to calculate the position of the vehicle during in-flight. The simulation results show that the algorithm is practical and effective enough tracking position of the vehicle in considerably less error.

  • This paper presents a practical On-The-Fly(OTF) integer ambiguity resolution algorithm for real-time precise positioning with low cost, $L_1$ single frequency, conventional C/A code GPS receiver. A state reconfiguration scheme is adopted in the Kalman filter to deal with the variation of ambiguity states caused by varying sets of visible GPS satellites. The proposed algorithm reduces the ambiguity search space from the coarse m-level C/A code pseudorange measurements of the conventional C/A code reciever, thereby reducing the computational time. Simulation results are presented to show that the algorithm achieves a cm-level accuracy.

  • DiffServ망에서 많이 거론되고 있는 대표적인 스케줄러로 PQ(Priority Queue), WRR(Weighted Round Robin)등의 스케줄러가 연구되어져 있다. 그러나 이러한 스케줄러들은 장점을 가지고 있는 동시에 단점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 PQ와 WRR의 단점을 보완하면서 어떠한 스케줄링 방법에도 적용이 가능한 스케줄러 알고리즘을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안된 알고리즘은 DiffServ 망에서 퍼지 이론을 스케줄러에 적용하여 동적으로 가중치를 할당하는 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 따라서 퍼지이론을 통하여 퍼지 제어 규칙을 생성하여 유동적으로 각 클래스의 큐 상태를 체크하여 클래스가 가지고 있는 큐의 가중치를 효율적으로 할당하도록 하였다.

Measurement Method of the Resistive Leakage Current for Lightning Arrester Diagnosis

  • Several ways for monitoring the soundness of ZnO lightning arresters have been suggested, and all of which are based on the measurement of leakage current since it is well known that the resistive leakage current is a main indicator of arrester deterioration. In this paper, we proposed an algorithm to measure the resistive leakage current, which is quite different from the conventional method that eliminates capacitive current from the total leakage current. The proposed algorithm is based on that the magnitudes of the resistive leakage current are equal at the same applied voltage levels. To confirm the reliability of the algorithm, we fabricated a leakage current detector and designed an analysis program. Experimental results showed that the method does not need a complex circuitry and is useful to analyze the resistive leakage current.

  • A biologically inspired fuzzy multilayer perceptron is proposed in this paper. The proposed algorithm is established under consideration of biological neuronal structure as well as fuzzy logic operation. We applied this suggested learning algorithm to benchmark problem in neural network such as exclusive OR and 3-bit parity, and to digit image recognition problems. For the comparison between the existing and proposed neural networks, the convergence speed is measured. The result of our simulation indicates that the convergence speed of the proposed learning algorithm is much faster than that of conventional backpropagation algorithm. Furthermore, in the image recognition task, the recognition rate of our learning algorithm is higher than of conventional backpropagation algorithm.

우리나라 초등학교 수학 교과서에서의 분수 나눗셈 알고리즘 정당화 과정 분석 (An Analysis on Processes of Justifying the Standard Fraction Division Algorithms in Korean Elementary Mathematics Textbooks)

  • 본 논문에서는 분수 나눗셈 알고리즘 지도 방법 개선을 위한 기초 작업의 일환으로, 우리나라 초등학교 수학 교과서에서의 분수 나눗셈 알고리즘 정당화 과정을 분석한다. 교과서에서는 간접적인 방법으로 분수 나눗셈식을 분수 곱셈식으로 변환시켜 알고리즘을 정당화하고 있다. 그 방법으로 추이성을 이용하는 것, 수 막대나 직사각형 모델을 이용하는 것의 두 가지가 있다. 2007 개정 교육과정에 따른 수학 교과서 ${\ll}5-2{\gg}$, ${\ll}6-1{\gg}$에서 분수 나눗셈 알고리즘은 외형상 6개이다. 그 중 4개는 형태상 제수의 역수를 곱하는 표준 알고리즘이다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 분석 결과를 바탕으로 다음의 세 가지 제언을 결론으로 제시한다. 첫째, 초등학교 5학년에서 역수라는 용어의 사용을 전향적으로 고려할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 비표준 알고리즘을 표준 알고리즘 형태로 도입하는 것을 고려할 필요가 있다. 셋째, 차후의 교육과정에서 분모가 1인 분수의 취급에 관해 논의할 필요가 있다.

  • Heuristic optimization using hybrid algorithms have provided a robust and efficient approach for solving many optimization problems. In this paper, a new hybrid algorithm using adaptive genetic algorithm (aGA) and particle swarm optimization (PSO) is proposed. The proposed hybrid algorithm is applied to solve numerical optimization functions. The results are compared with those of GA and other conventional PSOs. Finally, the proposed hybrid algorithm outperforms others.

  • This study examined a PD controller and its application to automatic berthing control of an unmanned surface vehicle (USV). First, a nonlinear mathematical model was established for the maneuvering of the USV in the presence of environmental forces. A PD control algorithm was then applied to control the rudder and propeller during an automatic berthing process. The algorithm consisted of two parts, namely the forward velocity control and heading angle control. The control algorithm was designed based on longitudinal and yaw dynamic models of the USV. The desired heading angle was obtained using the "line of sight" method. Finally, computer simulations of automatic USV berthing were performed to verify the proposed controller subjected to the influence of disturbance forces. The results of the simulation revealed a good performance of the developed berthing control system.

딥러닝 표정 인식을 활용한 실시간 온라인 강의 이해도 분석 (Analysis of Understanding Using Deep Learning Facial Expression Recognition for Real Time Online Lectures)

  • Due to the spread of COVID-19, the online lecture has become more prevalent. However, it was found that a lot of students and professors are experiencing lack of communication. This study is therefore designed to improve interactive communication between professors and students in real-time online lectures. To do so, we explore deep learning approaches for automatic recognition of students' facial expressions and classification of their understanding into 3 classes (Understand / Neutral / Not Understand). We use 'BlazeFace' model for face detection and 'ResNet-GRU' model for facial expression recognition (FER). We name this entire process 'Degree of Understanding (DoU)' algorithm. DoU algorithm can analyze a multitude of students collectively and present the result in visualized statistics. To our knowledge, this study has great significance in that this is the first study offers the statistics of understanding in lectures using FER. As a result, the algorithm achieved rapid speed of 0.098sec/frame with high accuracy of 94.3% in CPU environment, demonstrating the potential to be applied to real-time online lectures. DoU Algorithm can be extended to various fields where facial expressions play important roles in communications such as interactions with hearing impaired people.

상관값의 크기와 부호에 기반한 O-CDMA 부호 획득 알고리즘 (O-CDMA Code Acquisition Algorithm Based on Magnitude and Sign of Correlation Values)

  • 평균 부호 획득 시간은 (mean acquisition time: MAT) 부호 획득 시스템의 성능을 나타내는 가장 중요한 지표이며, MAT가 짧을수록 부호 획득 시스템의 성능이 좋다고 일컬어진다. 광 부호 분할 다중 접속 (optical code division multiple access: O-CDMA) 시스템의 부호 획득을 위해 Keshavarzian과 Salehi가 제안한 multiple-shift (MS) 알고리즘은 부호 획득을 두 단계로 나누어 수행함으로써, 기존 serial-search (SS) 알고리즘에 비해 짧은 MAT를 제공한다. 본 논문에서는 효율적으로 결합된 로컬 신호와 그에 따른 상관값 및 부호를 이용하여 기존 MS 알고리즘에 비해 더 짧은 MAT를 제공할 수 있는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 또한, 모의실험을 통해 제안한 알고리즘이 기존 MS 알고리즘에 비해 더 짧은 MAT를 제공함을 보인다.
