확대모델을 이용한 특성화된 핀형상의 열전달평가 (An Evaluation of Heat Transfer Characteristics of Individualized Fin Type Using Large Scale Model)

  • In recent years, air-conditioning units designed with higher efficiency and more compactness are required due to emphasis on energy efficiency in home electrical appliances. This trend in the air-conditioning industries has accelerated the development of improved heat exchanger with a better performance in heat transfer aspects. In this study, experiments were performed to investigate the shape and configuration of fins affecting on the performance of the conventional fin-and-tube type heat exchanger equipped in a commercial air conditioners. The geometry similtude method was employed to measure the heat transfer coefficient and pressure drop. Experimental results show that this method is very useful to analyze the heat transfer characteristics of the fin-and-tube type heat exchanger. It is also found that the slit fin has better performance than the conventional fin type in the air conditioners. The present results indicate that heat transfer from the fin si influenced by the parameters such as the forming area of the slit fin, the type of interrupted surfaces like a louver or slit, slit patterns and slit raised direction, and it also affects the overall heat exchanger performance.

부하조건이 마그네슘-공기연료전지의 출력특성에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Load Conditions for the Power of Mg-Air Fuel Cell)

  • The power characteristics of the Mg-Air fuel cell were investigated with regard to variation of load conditions. The types of load current using for the Mg-Air fuel cell with 10% NaCl electrolyte were step type, ramp type and pulse type. It was found that transient phenomena occurred in the step current load, which is due to activate of the oxidation-reduction reaction process. And the transient time increase with the load current increase. In the load current of ramp type, the slop of voltage drop increased with current load slop ${\alpha}$ increase. The load voltage and power decreased according to the pulse period of load current decrease were attributed to the metal sludges.

  • Air stable n-type organic field effect transistors (OFETs) based on CB60B are realized using a perfluoropolymer as the gate dielectric layer. The devices showed the field-effect mobility of $0.05\;cm^2P/V\;s$ in ambient air. Replacing the gate dielectric material by $SiO_2$ resulted in no transistor action in ambient air. Perfluorinated gate dielectric layer reduces interface traps significantly for the n-type semiconductor even in ambient air.

  • Liquid atomization by means of a spinning cup is widely used as a device for combustion, in cooling and spray drying. In this study, the blowing type rotary atomizer was experimental carried out the investigations on the characteristics of the blowing type rotary atomizer which is an air flow energy of blower instead of an electric motor most commonly used to a driven energy. The analysis on the rotary cup speed, air velocity with the blower conditions was performed and also the drop size was measured using LDPA. It was tried to analyzed on air-nozzle size and liquid flowrate as the result. It was found that the increase of the relative velocity between liquid and air improve significantly atomization liquid, and decrease of the liquid flowrate improved the maximum drop size though the mean drop size is really the same.

공기식 마늘 박피기의 적정 설계를 위한 요인별 영향 분석 (Analysis of Performance of an Air-Type Garlic Peeler for its Optimum Design)

  • Recently, a garlic peeler with high performance is being demanded due to increase of consumption of peeled garlic. Although the air type out of various types of garlic peelers is recommended to remove effectively skin of garlic, it has an important problem of large energy consumption. This study was performed to analyze performance of an air-type garlic peeler for its optimum design. Performance indices to represent performance of garlic peeler include peeling ratio, energy efficiency and peeling performance. The factors such as aperture of nozzle, angle and position of air injection, charge rate of garlic, peeling time and so on must be considered to design optimally an air-type garlic peeler.

  • Total heat recovery type ventilators that are connected to each room with ducts are mainly installed in Korea, but they raise concern over duct pollution. In this study, indoor environments made by thin line type ventilators installed in dwelling units of apartment houses are investigated by CFD. Results show the case that thin line type ventilators installed in each room-including kitchens-make the best indoor environment that maintains air velocity at under 0.25m/s, and evenly distributes the age of air in all areas.

  • In this study acoustical characteristics of system air conditioner in different ceiling systems was investigated in anechoic and real conditions. Same Types of air conditioners were installed in two different rooms. The results showed that motor's tonal component was emphasized at near fart of air blast blower in the exposed type while fan's harmonic component is emphasized rather in the enclosed type. This confirms tile result of acoustical intensity mapping which showed that Intensity level of 125Hz octave band increased in the exposed type while there was no noticeable difference at the frequency band in the enclosed type.

Calculation of Outdoor Air Fraction through Economizer Control Types during Intermediate Season

  • Purpose: In this study, we examined outdoor air fraction using historical data of actual Air Handling Unit (AHU) in the existing building during intermediate season and analyzed optimal outdoor air fraction by control types for economizer. Method: Control types for economizer which was used in analysis are No Economizer(NE), Differential Dry-bulb Temperature(DT), Diffrential Enthalpy(DE), Differential Dry-bulb Temperature+Differential Enthalpy(DTDE), and Differential Enthalpy+Differential Dry-bulb Temperature (DEDT). In addition, the system heating and cooling load were analyzed by calculating the outdoor air fraction through existing AHU operating method and control types for economizer. Result: Optimized outdoor air fraction through control types was the lowest in March and distribution over 50% was shown in May. In case of DE control type, outdoor air fraction was the highest of other control types and the value was average 63% in May. System heating load was shown the lowest value in NE, however, system cooling load was shown 1.7 times higher than DT control type and 5 times higher than DE control type. For system heating load, DT and DTDE is similar during intermediate season. However, system cooling load was shown 3 times higher than DE and DEDT. Accordingly, it was found as the method to save cooling energy most efficiently with DE control considering enthalpy of outdoor air and return air in intermediate season.

실험에 의한 공기식 PVT 컬렉터의 열·전기 성능에 관한 연구 (An Experimental Study on Thermal and Electrical Performance of an Air-type PVT Collector)

  • PVT (Photovoltaic/thermal) system is technology that combines PV and solar thermal collector to produce and use both solar heat and electricity. PVT has the advantage that the energy production per unit area is higher than any single use of PV or solar thermal energy systems because it can produce and use heat and electricity simultaneously. Air-type PVT collectors use air as the heat transfer medium, and the air flow rate and flow pattern are important factors affecting the performance of the PVT collector. In this study, a new air-type PVT collector with improved thermal performance was designed and manufactured. And then thermal and electrical performance and characteristics of air-type PVT collector were analyzed through experiments. For the thermal performance analysis of the PVT collector, the experiment was conducted under the test conditions of ISO 9806:2017 and the electrical performance was analyzed under the same conditions. As a result, the thermal efficiency increased to 26~45% as the inlet flow rate of PVT collector increased from $60{\sim}200m^3/h$. Also, it was confirmed that the air-type PVT collector prevents the PV surface temperature rise according to the operating conditions.

서울 도심 가로수 및 가로녹지의 기온 저감 효과와 기능 향상 연구 (A Study on Air Temperature Reduction Effect and the Functional Improvement of Street Green Areas in Seoul, Korea)

  • 본 연구는 도시 내 가로수 및 가로녹지의 수종, 식재유형, 가로녹지 구조, 녹량(녹지용적)에 따른 기온 변화량을 규명하고자 하였다. 수종별 비교 가능한 3종 이상의 가로수가 식재된 유형은 교목 1열+관목이었으며, 보차간 기온차이 평균값 간 분석에서 소나무 $1.35^{\circ}C$, 느티나무 $1.84^{\circ}C$, 은행나무 $2.00^{\circ}C$, 양버즘나무 $2.57^{\circ}C$이었다. 규격이 크고 수관폭이 넓은 수종은 가로변에 그늘을 제공하여 기온 저감에 상당한 영향을 주는 것으로 분석되었다. 가로수 식재유형과 기온과의 관계 분석결과는 교목 1열 유형은 평균기온 차이 $1.80^{\circ}C$, 교목 2열 유형은 평균기온 차이 $2.15^{\circ}C$로 교목 열수 증가에 따라 보차간 기온차이 평균값이 큰 것을 알 수 있었다. 가로녹지 구조별 기온 저감 효과 분석결과는 교목 유형 $1.94^{\circ}C$, 교목+관목 유형 $2.49^{\circ}C$, 교목+아교목+관목 유형 $2.57^{\circ}C$이었으며, 기온저감은 단층구조보다 다층구조에서 효과적이었다. 녹량(녹지용적량)과 기온저감량과의 관계 분석에서는 녹량이 많을수록 기온저감 효과가 커지는 것으로 분석되었다. 연구 결과 수관용적이 크고 교목층의 열수가 많으며, 다층구조인 식재형태는 가로 내 녹량과 관계가 있음을 의미하였다. 본 결과를 바탕으로 기온 저감 효과와 기능 강화를 위한 가로녹지 조성 기준을 제안하였다. 보도폭 3m 이하인 경우에는 수관용적이 작은 낙엽활엽수와 최대 1m의 띠녹지 조성을 통한 교목+관목의 구조를 제시하였다. 보도폭 3m 이상인 경우에는 수관용적이 큰 낙엽활엽수 다열 식재 및 1m 이상의 띠녹지 조성, 교목과 관목뿐만 아니라, 아교목 성상의 수목 식재를 통한 다층구조 녹지조성이 가능할 것으로 판단되었다.
