국내 인삼산업 활성화를 위한 홍삼토닉 소비자 선호분석 (Consumer Preference Analysis of Korean Red Ginseng Tonic for Revitalizing Korean Ginseng Industry)

  • 본 연구는 국내외 여건으로 침체되고 국내 인삼산업 활성화에 필요한 인삼가공식품의 경쟁력 제고를 위하여 대표 인삼제품인 홍삼토닉의 소비자 선호속성을 선택실험법을 통해 분석하였다. 실험에 사용된 선호속성으로는 재배연근, 우수농산물(GAP) 인증 여부, 당류함량, 가격이 포함되었으며 총 1,796개의 실험에 대한 답변을 취득하여 각 속성에 대한 가치를 다항로짓모형을 이용하여 추정하였다. 그 결과, 6년근 원료를 사용하여 우수농산물(GAP) 인증을 받은 저당도 제품에 대한 선호도를 화폐가치로 환산하였다. 이를 정리하면, 5년근 대비 6년근 원료를 사용한 제품에 약 94,000원, GAP 인증을 받지 않은 경우에 비해서 약 89,000원, 당을 1g 줄인 경우 약 5,000의 추가지불의사금액을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 단기적으로 GAP 인증된 6년근 원료를 사용한 저당의 제품 개발이 필요하며, 인삼 GAP 인증에 대한 지원과 홍보가 필요할 것으로 보인다. 한편 인삼 농가 생산성 개선을 위해 저년근 인삼 효능에 대한 과도한 저평가를 개선하기 위한 장기적인 노력이 병행되어야 할 것으로 보인다.

  • 영양은 모든 생명활동의 근본이며, 생물의 진화적 적응도를 결정하는 가장 중요한 요인이다. 곤충영양학은 곤충생리학의 전통적인 연구영역이며, 최근 산업곤충의 대량사육 필요성이 증가함에 따라 그 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 이러한 중요성에도 불구하고, 곤충의 영양현상을 정확히 이해하기란 어려운데, 이는 영양의 다변량적 특성, 영양소 간의 교호작용 등으로 설명되는 영양적 복잡성에 기인한다. 영양기하학(Nutritional Geometry)은 이러한 난점을 극복하기 위해 고안된 통합적이고 다차원적인 분석모형으로서, 최근 곤충영양학이 급격하게 발전할 수 있는 이론적 및 실험적 기반을 제공하였다. 본 종설은 영양기하학의 기본개념을 소개하고, 이러한 방법론이 어떻게 최근 곤충영양학의 급속한 학문적 진보를 가능케 하였는지, 그리고 영양이 어떻게 생리학, 생태학, 진화생물학을 통합하는 구심점이 될 수 있었는지를, 최신 연구사례를 중심으로 살펴볼 것이다. 또한 본 종설은 향후 영양기하학을 적용함으로써 발전할 가능성이 높은 연구분야를 고찰할 것이다.

배부식 분무기 노즐이 들깻잎의 농약잔류에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Pesticide Residues on Perilla Leaf by Nozzle Types of Knapsack Sprayers)

  • 본 실험은 배부식 분무기 노즐 종류를 달리하여 농약을 살포하였을 경우 작물 중 농약잔류량에 미치는 영향을 구명하기 위해 수행하였다. 배부식 인력분무기의 2구 디스크형 노즐과 배부식 동력분무기의 2구 선형노즐을 분구형상에 따라 I형은 분구가 하나, II형은 분구가 둘, III형은 분구가 셋으로 3가지 유형으로 구분하여 분무입경과 시간당 분무량을 조사하였다. 선형노즐 II형(상표명: D-3)이 압력 $1.1{\pm}0.2$ MPa에서 분무입경 $76{\mu}m$, 단위 시간당 약제 살포량 2.4 L/min.으로, 선형노즐 II형 (상표명: D-35)가 압력 $1.0{\pm}0.2$ MPa에서 분무입경 $90{\mu}m$, 단위 시간당 약제 살포량 2.6 L/min.으로 적정하다고 판단되었다. D-3의 분구 크기는 0.65 mm length ${\times}$ 0.45 mm width이고 D-35의 분구 크기는 0.62 mm length ${\times}$ 0.46 mm width 이였다. 들깻잎을 대상으로 노즐별 imidacloprid의 잔류량 차이를 비교하여 유의수준 5%에서 잔류량의 차이가 있었다. 디스크형 노즐과 선형노즐 I형이 $3.76{\sim}3.92mg\;kg^{-1}$으로 선형노즐 II형과 III형의 $4.52{\sim}4.92mg\;kg^{-1}$보다 잔류량이 적었다. 분무 노즐을 달리하여 농약살포시 들깻잎 중 잔류량의 차이가 있다고 판단되었다.

National Genetic Evaluation (System) of Hanwoo (Korean Native Cattle)

  • Hanwoo (Also known as Korean native cattle; Bos taurus coreanae) have been used for transportation and farming for a long time in South Korea. It has been about 30 yrs since Hanwoo improvement began in earnest as beef cattle for meat yield. The purpose of this study was to determine the trend of improvement as well as to estimate genetic parameters of the traits being used for seedstock selection based on the data collected from the past. Hanwoo proven bulls in South Korea are currently selected through performance and progeny tests. National Hanwoo genetic evaluations are implemented with yearling weight (YW), carcass weight (CW), eye muscle area (EMA), backfat thickness (BF) and marbling score (MS). Yearling weights and MS are used for selecting young bulls, and EMA, BF, and MS are used for selecting proven bulls. One individual per testing room was used for performance tests, and five individuals per room for progeny tests. Individuals tested were not allowed to graze pasture, but there was enough space for them to move around in the testing room. Feeds including roughages and minerals were fed ad libitum, and concentrates were provided at the rate of about 1.8% of individual weight. Overall means of the traits were $352.8{\pm}38.56$ kg, $335.09{\pm}44.61$ kg, $77.85{\pm}8.838\;cm^2$, $8.6{\pm}3.7$ mm and $3.293{\pm}1.648$ for YW, CW, EMA, BF and MS. Heritabilities estimated in this study were 0.30, 0.30, 0.42, 0.50 and 0.63 in YW, CW, EMA, BF and MS, respectively, which are similar to results from previous research. Yearling weight was 315.54 kg in 1998, and had increased to 355.06 kg in 2011, resulting in about 40 kg of improvement over 13 yrs. YW and CW have improved remarkably over the past 15 yrs. Breeding values between 1996 and 2000 decreased or did not change much, but have moved in a desirable direction since 2001. These improvements correspond with the substantial increase in use of animal models since the late 1990s in Korea. Hanwoo testing programs have practically contributed to the improvement in aspects of quality and quantity. In sum, the current selection system is good enough to accommodate circumstances where fewer sires are used on many more cows. Although progeny tests take longer and cost more, they seem to be appropriate under the circumstances of the domestic market with its higher requirement for better meat quality. Consequently, accumulative data collection, genetic evaluation model development, revision of selection indices, as well as cooperation among farms, associations, National Agricultural Cooperative Federation, universities, research institutes, and government agencies must be applied to the Hanwoo selection program. All these efforts will assist the domestic market to secure a competitive position against imported beef under Free Trade Agreement trade system and will provide farmers with higher profits as well as the public with a higher quality of beef.

Forestry in Malaysia : An Institutional Overview

  • Forestry as with all land matters, under the Constitution, is a State matter. Thus the States, numbering 14, have considerable autonomy in decisions on forestry and related matters. However, the Federal Government, having jurisdiction over such issues as defence, education and research, endeavours to coordinate, standardise and advise the States on matters where the States have jurisdiction. However, forestry being a major revenue earner, is jealously guarded by the States. Under such circumstances and recognising the interdependencies of impacts of decisions at the State level, the institutional organisations play an important role in coordinating state activities to ensure that the benefits to the country as a whole are not sacrificed in favour of interests of individual state. Various legislative mechanisms have been established to ensure this coordinated effort. A National Forestry Council forms the apex of national political coordination. The Federal Forestry Department is responsible for coordination of developmental activities at the State level, which are implemented be the State Forestry Departments within Peninsular Malaysia. Research is carried out centrally by the Forest Research Institute of Malaysia(FRIM), a statutory body formed in 1985 from a research division of the Forestry Department. The Stares of Sabah and Sarawak have their own Forestry Departments, independent of the Federal Department, and each with its own research unit independent of FRIM. Tertiary education in forestry is the sole responsibility of the Agricultural University at Serdang with a campus for Diploma level training in Sarawak. In the developmental area in the State of Sabah, institutions have been formed to focus on specific areas of activities. The Sabah Foundation is responsible for the long term development of the State forests with a concession of about one million ha. Sabah Forest Development Authority(SAFODA) was formed to carry out reforestation of denuded areas. Sabah Forest Industries Ltd.(SFI) is responsible for the country's only integrated pulp and paper industry with its own afforestation program to support its resource supply. In Peninsular Malaysia various states have established State Corporations to manage large "sustained yield" concessions. While wildlife and state parks are managed by the respective forestry departments in Sabah and Sarawak, it is the responsibility of a separate department in Peninsula Malaysia called the Department of Wildlife and National Parks(under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment). Timber trade legislation and promotion in the Peninsular is the responsibility of the Malaysian Timber Industries Board(MTIB) for Peninsular Malaysia and the Sarawak Timber Industries Development Corporation(STIDC) in Sarawak. In the area of NGOs ; the Institute of Foresters Malaysia, is the professional body of forestry in the country. A Malaysian Forestry Society caters for the public participation and interest. Other environmentally related NGOs such as the Malayan Nature Society, the Environmental Protection Society, World Wildlife Fund, Friends of the Earth and the Consumers Associations also involve themselves in specific forestry activities. A number of timber trade associations are also formed by the private sector to assist the industries.

한국 김제의 벼 경작 시스템의 기후스마트농업 (Climate-Smart Agriculture) 기반의 평가 (Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA)-Based Assessment of a Rice Cultivation System in Gimje, Korea)

  • 본 연구에서는 '한국 김제의 전형적인 벼 경작 시스템이 기후스마트농업(CSA)의 삼중 도전에 어떻게 부합하고 있는가?'라는 질문에 답하기 위해, (1) 벼 경작 시스템의 에너지, 물, 탄소 및 정보의 흐름을 직접 관측하였고, (2) 생산성/효율성, 온실가스 방출/흡수 및 회복성을 평가할 수 있는 다양한 측정도구(metrics)를 사용하여 기후스마트농업의 관점에서 평가하였다. 국내 플럭스 관측망인 KoFlux 관측지의 하나인 김제의 대표적인 벼 경작 시스템에서 3년간(2011, 2012, 2014)의 생육기간 동안 에디공분산 기술을 사용하여 에너지, 물, 이산화탄소 및 메탄 플럭스의 흐름을 모니터링하였다. 생산 효율성 평가를 위해서는 총일차생산량(GPP), 생태계 호흡량(RE), 곡물 수확량, 빛사용효율(LUE), 물사용효율(WUE), 및 탄소흡수효율(CUE)을 지표로 사용하였다. 온실가스 정량화를 위해서는, 이산화탄소 플럭스(FCO2)와 메탄 플럭스(FCH4)의 경우 직접 관측한 자료를 사용하였고, 아산화질소 플럭스(FN2O)는 IPCC지침에 따라 간접적으로 산출한 자료를 사용하였다. 회복성 평가를 위해서는 자기-조직화(self-organization, S) 지표를 사용하였으며, 벼 경작 시스템에서 가장 포괄적인 세 과정(총일차생산, 메탄플럭스, 증발산)을 대상으로 정보이론을 사용하여 정량화 하였다. 결과에 따르면, 3년 간의 생육 기간 중 2011년이 상대적으로 CSA 삼중 목표를 모두 성취하였으나, 이어지는 2012년과 2014년에 모두 생산량이 감소하고 온실가스 방출이 크게 증가하여 기후스마트 한 관리가 이루어지지 않은 것으로 보인다. 3년 생육기간을 평균한 CSA 지표의 값과 범위의 경우, 생산성에 관련된 지표들은 문헌에 보고된 다른 연구 결과와 비교할 때 대부분 중-상위의 범위에 속했으나, 온실가스 완화의 경우 평균 이하였고, 회복성은 높았지만 보고된 자료가 없어 비교하지 못했다. 기후스마트한 벼재배를 위해서는, 1) 이해 관계자들이 함께 목적에 맞게 목표의 우선순위를 정하고('거버넌스'), 2) CSA 지표를 분석한 결과로부터 얻어진 되먹임(feedback) ('모니터링') 정보를 기반으로, 3) 상황에 맞는 적절한 개입('관리'), 즉 거버넌스/관리/모니터링의 삼합으로 이루어지는 비저니어링이 필요함을 시사한다.

부정 탐지를 위한 이상치 분석 활용방안 연구 : 농수산 상장예외품목 거래를 대상으로 (A Study on the Application of Outlier Analysis for Fraud Detection: Focused on Transactions of Auction Exception Agricultural Products)

  • 기업 의사 결정 지원을 위하여 거래 데이터를 다양한 관점에서 분석하고 활용하려는 노력과 관심들이 증가하고 있다. 이러한 노력들은 고객 관리나 마케팅에만 국한되는 것이 아니라 부정행위에 대한 감시와 탐지를 목적으로도 다양한 분석 방안들이 연구되고 있다. 부정행위는 기술의 발전을 악용하여 다양한 형태로 진화하고 있으며, 이에 따라 목적에 맞는 부정탐지 방안 연구와 적용을 통하여 탐지 효용의 극대화를 위한 노력의 필요성이 증가하고 있다. 이러한 연구 동향의 일환으로 본 연구에서는 대용량 거래 데이터가 저장 관리되고 있는 국내 최대 농수산물 유통 시장의 2008년부터 2010년까지 상장예외품목의 거래 가격을 분석하여 부정 탐지 규칙을 도출하였으며, 전문가 검증을 통하여 도출 된 규칙의 신뢰성을 확보하였다. 본 연구의 주요 부정거래 분석 방안으로는 정상적인 데이터들은 발생 확률이 높은 반면에 특이한 데이터들의 발생 확률은 낮다고 가정하는 통계적 접근을 통한 이상치 식별 방안을 활용하였다. 이에 따라 부정거래 분석 별로 정의 된 Z-Score 값보다 클 경우 부정거래 탐지 대상이 된다. 다만 상장예외품목 거래의 경우 취급 가능한 중도매인의 수가 제한되어 있으며, 일반적인 상장품목의 거래보다 거래량이 적기 때문에 소수의 이상치가 품목의 평균에 미치는 영향이 크다. 그 예로 다른 소수의 중도매인들이 해당 품목을 정상적인 가격에 거래하였더라도, 특정한 중도매인 한 명이 지나치게 비정상적인 가격에 거래할 경우 모든 거래들이 부정거래로 탐지 될 가능성도 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 기존의 Z-Score의 개념을 활용하여 수정된 Z-Score(Self-Eliminated Z-Score)를 사용하였다. 또한 부정 유형별 탐지 규칙 관리와 활용을 위한 시스템 프로토타입(prototype) 개발을 수행하였다. 이를 통하여 실제 부정거래 탐지 업무에 적용할 수 있는 효과적인 방안을 제시하였고, 농수산 유통시장의 공정성 및 투명성 확보를 위한 관리 감독의 기능 강화가 가능할 것이다.

농어촌(農漁村) 특산단지개발사업(特産團地開發事業)의 평가(評價)와 농외소득증대방안(農外所得增大方案) (충청남도(忠淸南道)를 중심(中心)으로) (Appraisal of the Special Production Area Development Project in Rural Area and Countermeasures for Off-farm Income Increase (The Case of Chungnam Province))

  • Korean agriculture has encountered two problems. One is internal income disparity between rural and urbarn area and the other is external Uruguay Round trade problems as an abolition of direct and indirect import barriers, reduction in export subsidies and to reduce internal price supports. These problems will be brought severe farm problems such as decreasing farm household income and repressing agricultural growth in the near future. Considering the above inevitable facts Korean government has implemented several development projects such as rural industrial area development project, rural special production area development project, leisuresight seeing farm development project, traditional food development project, unskilled labor training project for off-farm employment and so on, to increase farm household income through off-farm income increase. This study was mainly concentrated on the identification of operational problems and post evaluation of the rural special production area development projects which aimed at increasing non-farm incomes and giving employment opportunity for rural farmers in small factories processing regional special farm products and mine products. The main findings and problems to be solved for the successful project implementation are as followed ; 1. Total number of the special production area development projects as of the end of 1991 was amount to 138, and total number of farm household participated were estimated at 2,079, and total amount of off-farm income per farm household was reached to 3,011 thousand won. 2. The total number of processed special products have increased from 21 items in 1981 to 56 items in 1991. On the other hand the total number of farm household participated in the projects have decreased from 2,518 to 2,079 during same period. 3. Total amount of investment for the projects has increased from 1,429 million won in 1981 to 24,760 million won in 1991 but the rate of G'T loan of the total investment has reduced from 24.5% to 5.2% during same period. 4. 138 special production area development project are classified into 6 kinds of commodity groups such as 19 of general industrial good production areas, 52 of folks-industrial art objects production areas, 39 of food processing areas, 9 of fiber and texstile processing areas, 18 of agricultural and fishery inputs processing areas and 1 of stone processing area. 5. The total production value in 1990 was estimated 20,169 million won of which export was amount to 2,627 million won. 6. The finacial rate of return of the UNGOK KUGIJA Tea processing Project operated by UNGOK coops and BAKSAN ginseng tea processing project were estimated at 45.4% (B/C Ratio=1.17, NPV=152.5 million won) and 17.7% (B/C Ratio=1.12, NPV=120.2 million won) respectively. 7. More favorite terms and condition of the loan including collateral problems have to be given to farmers participated. Heavy investment and G'T subsidy policies should be started for the successful project implementation anf farm household income increase. 8. To expand market demand of the rural special goods G'T have to provide special program of TV or other mass media for commodity propaganda and the total cost concerned must be supported by G'T subsidy. 9. The special farm products as GUGUJA,MOSI'Ramie', Ginseng. SOGOKJU,HEMP,Mushroom.DUGYUNJU and Chesnut processing projects have to be propelled and expanded for off-farm income increase in Chung Nam Province. 10. Direct operational pattern of the special production area by coops is more favorable to farmers and recommendable considering with off-farm income increase and market demand creation throughout Korea. 11. In rural area, special organizations for project appraisal are not exist. Accordingly special training program, project appraisal, formulation and preparation for civil servants concerned have to be prepared for project selection and sound implementation under limited budget and financial support.

비닐하우스 이용 고추 건조 시 야간 원적외선등 조사량이 품질에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Far-infrared Irradiance at Night on Quality of Sunlight Dried Red Pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) in Plastic Houses)

  • 본 연구는 원적외선등 적정 조사량이 상품성과 건조 효율에 미치는 효과를 구명하기 위하여 실시하였다. 원적외선등 조사량은 대조구(관행), $250W{\cdot}6.6m^{-2}$, $250W{\cdot}3.3m^{-2}$, $500W{\cdot}3.3m^{-2}$ 등 4처리를 두었다. 고추 건조기간은 $500W{\cdot}3.3m^{-2}$$250W{\cdot}3.3m^{-2}$는 12일, $250W{\cdot}6.63m^{-2}$는 14일, 관행은 15일이었다. 주간 온도는 처리 간에 동일하였으며, 야간 최저온도는 원적외선등 처리구가 $29.5-37.2^{\circ}C$, 관행이 $23.8^{\circ}C$로 가장 낮았다. 건고추 상품 수량은 원적외선등 $250W{\cdot}3.3m^{-2}$ 처리에서 가장 우수하였으며, 원적외선등 조사 처리구가 대조구보다 7-14% 증가하였다. 상품과율은 원적외선등 조사 처리구에서 93.6-96.3%로 대조구 87.0-87.5%보다 높았다. 고추의 ASTA 값은 $250W{\cdot}3.3m^{-2}$, $250W{\cdot}6.6m^{-2}$, $500W{\cdot}3.3m^{-2}$, 관행 순으로 높았다. 캡사이신 capsaicin 함량은 처리 간에는 일정한 경향을 나타내지 않았다. 본 실험에서 얻어진 결과는 태양초 건조 기간 단축뿐만 아니라 고추의 품질 향상에 기여하리라 기대된다.

농업생산기반 정비사업의 산업연관효과분석 -황락 저수지지구를 중심으로- (Analysis of Industrial Linkage Effects for Farm Land Base Development Project -With respect to the Hwangrak Benefited Area with Reservoir -)

  • This study is aiming at identifying the foreward and backward lingkage effects of the farm land base development project. Korean Government has continuously carried out farmland base development projets including the integrated agricultural development projects. large and medium scale irrigation projects and the comprehensive development of the four big river basin including tidal land reclamation and estuary dam construction for the all weather farming since 1962. the starting year of the five year economic development plans. Consequently the irrigation rate of paddy fields in Korea reached to 75% in 1998 and to escalate the irrigation rate, the Government had procured heavy investment fund from IBRD. IMF and OECF etc. To cope with the agricultural problems like trade liberalization in accordance with WTO policy, the government has tried to solve such problems as new farmland base development policy, preservation of the farmland and expansion of farmland to meet self-sufficiency of foods in the future. Especially, farmland base development projects have been challanged to environmental and ecological problems in evaluating economic benefits and costs where the value of non-market goods have not been included in those. Up to data, in evaluating benefits and costs of the projects, farmland base development projects have been confined to direct incremental value of farm products and it's related costs. Therefore the projects'efficiency as a decision making criteria has shown the low level of economic efficiencies. In estimating economic efficiencies including Leontiefs input-output analysis of the projects could not be founded in Korea at present. Accordingly this study is aimed at achieving and identifying the following objectives. (1) To identify the problems related to the financial supports of the Government in implementing the proposed projects. (2) To estimated backward and foreward linkage effects of the proposed project from the view point of national economy as a whole. To achieve the objectives, Hwangrak benefited area with reservoir which is located in Seosan-haemi Disticts, Chungnam Province were selected as a case study. The main results of the study are summarized as follows : a. The present value of investment and O & M cost were amounted to 3,510million won and the present value of the value added in related industries was estimated at 5.913million won for the period of economic life of 70 years. b. The total discounted value of farm products in the concerned industries derived by the project was estimated at 10,495million won and the foreward and backward linkage effects of the project were amounted to 6,760 and 5,126million won respectively. c. The total number of employment opportunities derived from the related industries for the period of project life were 3,136 man/year. d. Farmland base development projects were showed that the backward linkage effects estimated by index of the sensitivity dispersion were larger than the forward linkage effect estimated by index of the power of dispersion. On the other hand, the forward linkage effect of rice production value during project life was larger than the backward linkage effect e.
