Estimation of irrigation supply from agricultural reservoirs based on reservoir storage data

  • Recently, the quantitative management of agricultural water supply, which is the main source for water consumption in Korea, has become more important due to the effective water management organization of the Korean government. In this study, the estimation method for irrigation supply based on agricultural reservoir storage data was improved compared to previous research, in which drought year selection was unclear, and the outlier data for the rainfall-irrigation supply were not eliminated in the regression analysis. In this study, the drought year was selected by the ratio of annual precipitation to mean annual precipitation and the storage rate observed before the start of irrigation. The outlier data for the rainfall-irrigation supply were eliminated by the Grubbs & Beck test. The proposed method was applied to nine agricultural reservoirs for validation. As a result, the ratio of annual precipitation to mean annual precipitation is less than 53% and the storage rate observed before the start of irrigation is less than 55% it was judged to be the drought year. In addition, the drought supply factor, K, was found to be 0.70 on average, showing closer results to the observed reservoir rates. This shows that water management at the real is appling drought year practice. It was shown that the performance of the proposed method was satisfactory with NSE (Nash-Sutcliffe model efficiency coefficient) and R2 (coefficient of determiniation) except for a few cases.

Proposal of Urban Agricultural Park Management and Operation Plan Using the Public Service Design Process

  • Background and objective: With the revision of the Act on Urban Parks, Green Areas, Etc. in 2013, the "urban agricultural park" was newly established under the subcategory of "themed park," thereby establishing the institutional basis for the creation of urban agricultural parks. However, urban agricultural parks are still in the early stages of their introduction. There is a lack of research on direction setting and specific operation management that considers urban residents' needs and the city's physical infrastructure. Methods: We utilized the public service design process suggested by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety of the Republic of Korea in 2019 to identify problems and develop directions for urban agricultural parks. The process consisted of the following four steps: Understanding, Discovering people's needs, Defining real problems, and Developing ideas. Results: As four types of ideas for revitalizing urban agricultural parks, 'information users want to know,' 'user participation in design,' 'venue for local communities,' and 'urban agricultural parks as health and rest areas' were derived. This means that urban agricultural parks must provide the information users want; users must plan, decide, and implement such information by directly participating in the creation and efficient management and operation of urban agricultural parks; and urban agricultural parks must be used as a venue for local communities. Urban agricultural parks should also be spaces for health and relaxation. Conclusion: Urban agricultural parks should avoid the unified space and passive participation patterns of existing urban parks, and become real spaces for resident participation that can satisfy all the production, leisure, landscape, ecology, and psycho-social needs of the users of urban agricultural parks. Furthermore, it is necessary to introduce a more systematic and diverse operating system so that it can work to revitalize the local community and connect organically with the function of the city.

위치기반 모바일 농업정보시스템 구축을 위한 안드로이드 애플리케이션 시험 개발 (Development of A Pilot Android Application for Location-based Mobile Agricultural Information System)

  • Recently the use of smart phones and mobile devices is increasing rapidly, data search and retrieval in the mobile environments are generalized. There are only few mobile applications available in the area of agriculture while huge amount of new applications are developed and uploaded. The purpose of this study was to develop the android based mobile application for providing agricultural infrastructure and disaster information. The mobile application was designed through the database establishment and management system, server management system, and mobile application development. The database is composed of weather data, agricultural infrastructure data, and agricultural disaster data. By developing the mobile application which provides agricultural infrastructure information, it is expected to improve the accessibility to agricultural information and mitigate the agricultural disaster damages.

HPLC를 이용한 사료 중 Deoxynivalenol, Zearalenone의 분석과 오염도 조사 (Analysis and Survey for Contamination of Deoxynivalenol and Zearalenone in Feed by High Performance Liquid Chromatography)

  • 2010년 유통사료 113점에 대하여 곰팡이독소 오염도 조사를 실시하였다. 면역친화컬럼(IAC)을 이용하여 각각 정제하였으며, HPLC/DAD와 FLD를 연결하여 동시분석하였다. DON은 200과 1,000 ${\mu}g/kg$수준에서 각각 95.40과 88.76%의 회수율과 4.03과 1.40%의 상대표준편차(%RSD)를 나타내었다. ZEN은 100과 500 ${\mu}g/kg$ 수준에서 각각 87.09과 98.40%의 회수율과 9.01과 2.81%의 상대표준편차(%RSD)를 나타내었다. 배합사료인 닭사료, 돼지사료, 소사료에서 DON과 ZEN이 각각 372.1, 324.0, 990.9 ${\mu}g/kg$와 76.1, 43.7, 196.2 ${\mu}g/kg$의 평균오염도를 보여 2009년도 조사결과보다 높은 오염수준을 나타내었다. 옥수수, 단백피, 주정박, 옥수수배아박, 옥수수글루텐에서는 DON과 ZEN이 각각 224.6, 3150.4, 721.5, 37.8, 207.3 ${\mu}g/kg$와 77.8, 308.5, 163.1, 116.9, 510.8 ${\mu}g/kg$로 나타남에 따라 역시 배합사료에 곰팡이독소를 오염시키는 주 원인물질로 확인되었다.

유통 사료 중 잔류농약 다성분동시분석법 확립 및 모니터링 (Analytical Method Validation and Monitoring of Pesticide Residues in Animal Feeds)

  • 사료의 안전성은 우리가 먹는 축산식품 및 그 가공품의 안전성과 직결된다. 따라서 이 연구의 목적은 1) 사료 중 관리대상 농약의 동시분석법을 확립하고, 2) 국내외 사료 중 농약 잔류실태를 조사하여 원료부터의 축산식품의 안전성을 확보하고자 하였다. 농약 잔류실태 조사를 위해 국내 유통 사료 126점을 수거하였고, 농약잔류허용기준이 설정된 농약 121성분 중 동시분석이 가능한 105성분에 대해 분석법을 확립한 후 농약 잔류실태를 조사하였다. 농약 잔류실태 조사 결과에 따르면, 126점의 사료 중 106점(84.1%)이 불검출이었고, 20점(15.9%)에서 7성분이 농약잔류허용기준 이내로 검출되었다. 검출빈도가 높은 농약으로는 각각 5점에서 검출된 pirimiphos-methyl과 cyproconazole이었다. 이 밖에도 propiconazole, azoxystrobin, tricyclazole 등이 검출되었다. 이 결과들은 2015년 국내 유통 사료가 잔류허용기준 이하로 안전하게 관리되고 있음을 보여준다. 그럼에도 불구하고, 사료의 안전성 강화 및 불량사료 원천차단을 위해 지속적인 잔류 실태조사가 필요하다.

시뮬레이션을 활용한 농식품 유통물류 동선최적화 설계방안 비교연구 (Comparison Study on the Moving Line Optimization in Agricultural Industry using Simulation Tool)

  • 본 연구는 농식품 산업의 중심축인 가락도매시장의 공급망 관리를 최적화 할 수 있는 변혁의 기회인 '가락시장 현대화 사업'의 유통물류 이슈에 적용하기 위한 유동인력 및 물류 동선에 대한 시뮬레이션 분석법을 적용하고 있다. 이미 업계에서는 익히 알고 있는 바와 같이 농식품 산업과 같은 1차 산업에서는 체계적인 방법에 의한 물류동선계획을 제대로 현장에 적용하지 못하고 있는 실정이고, 유통물류의 SCM분야는 더더욱 정형화되어 있지 못한 것이 또한 현실이다. 이에 유통시설의 5대 흐름관리 요소인 차량동선(물류차량/고객차량), 물류집기동선, 고객동선, 유통시설 종사원 동선, 상품 진열/후퇴 동선과 같은 흐름 동선 들을 도매시장 운영현장에 적용하여 모든 물류흐름에 최적화된 프로세스 계획 설계가 이루어지도록 하는 것이 필요하고, 이는 향후 농식품 산업의 물류 공급망을 효율화하는데 매우 중요한 기초 자원으로 활용할 것이다. 제조 산업과 물류산업에서는 공정기반 물류프로세스가 비교적 잘 지켜지고 있는데 반하여 유통산업, 특히 농식품 산업과 같은 1차 산업 물류현장에서는 행위기반 물류 프로세스가 중심이 되어서 모든 업무분석이 이루어지다 보니, 금번 시뮬레이션 작업은 업계 최초로 시도되는 정량 설계화 작업에 있다는 것에 매우 큰 의의를 둘 수 있겠다. 특히, 주차동선 파악에 있어서는 4개의 평가모형을 감안하여 특성별 물류동선 시뮬레이션을 진행하였고, 이를 바탕으로 물류 동선의 병목지역과 물류이동특성의 문제점을 사전 발견하여 물류현장 운영자와 물류시스템 설계자에 적시 피드백 시켜주는 효과적인 업무진행 방식을 채택하여 농식품 산업 물류현장의 합리적 설계와 최적화된 공급망 관리 시스템의 적용에 가일층 선진화된 대안을 제공했다는데 또한 큰 의미를 둘 수 있겠다.

  • The purpose of this research was to construct an efficient management system in developing and supplying a 'management standard diagnostic table' for the improvement of chestnut cultivation farmhouse. 'Chestnut management standard diagnostic table' were based from the actual condition of chestnut management in Chungcheongnam-do, selected 'appraisal factor item and by consulting 'agricultural plant standard diagnostic table' and various kinds of data which had already been developed. This research also consulted the classification systems and degree of importance. The developed 'Chestnut management diagnostic table' consisted of 3 first classified items, 19 second classified items and 2 product indicator items.

의령수역의 자동화 물관리 시스템 운영개선연구 (A study on Improvement of Automatic Water Management System in Uiryeong Watershed Area)

  • Uiryung Watershed area, located at the confluence of Nam River and Nagdong River has 9000 ha of agricultural land area and 3024 ha of paddy rice field have been reclaimed and managed by Korean Agricultural and Rural Infrastructure Corporation(KARICO) in the riparian area since 1954. In spite of irrigation and drainage improvement projects in last 3 decades since 1970, there are severe drought and innundation problems in the area. To improve the difficulties and efficient usage of irrigation water not only for agriculture but also for environmental conservation and cultural ceremony, Automatic Water management system has been installed supported by Ministry of Agriculture and Fishery in Korean Government. The control office in Uiryung Branch Office of KARICO, receive all the water management records from Remote Terminal Units in 7 reservoirs and 26 Pump stations to operate the decision supporting system of irrigation and drainage facility during cropping period. Since the completion of the water management system at the end of 2003, the electric cost decrease in 80 % than average years. In spite of decrease of two technical assistants since 2004, complains from farmers for the water management are very rare. The technological experience from the automatic water management system would contribute not only for the efficient water management of Uiryang area but also for the modernization of water management of other watershed areas in the future.

APEX(Agricultural Policy/Environmental eXtender) Model: An Emerging Tool for Agricultural Environmental Analyses

  • The agricultural policy/Environmental eXtender (APEX) model was developed by the Blackland Research and Extension Center in Temple, Texas. APEX is a flexible and dynamic tool that is capable of simulating a wide array of management practices, cropping systems, and other land uses across a broad range of agricultural landscapes, including whole farms and small watersheds. The model can be configured for novel land management strategies, such as filter strip impacts on pollutant losses from upslope crop fields, vegetated grassed waterways in combination with filter strip impacts, and land application of manure removed from livestock feedlots or waste storage ponds. The APEX model has continually evolved since its inception, and the process of adaptation and modification will likely continue as use of the model expands for an ever-increasing range of environmental problems and conditions. Several improvements to specific model subroutines have already been initiated, while other potential improvements have been identified that will require future research and code modification efforts.
