We propose an Agent-based Fault Tolerant Object Group model based on the agent technology and FTOG model with replication mechanism for effective object management and fault recovery. We define the five kind of agents - internal processing agent, registration agent, state handling agent, user interface agent, and service agent - that extend the functions of the FTOG model. The roles of the agents in the proposed model are to reduce the remote interactions between distributed objects and provide more effective service execution. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed model, we implemented the Intelligent Home Network Simulator (IHNS) which virtually provides general home networking services. Through the simulations, it is validated that the proposed model decreases the interactions of the object components and supports the effective fault recovery, while providing more stable and reliable services.
In the companion paper, the composition and structure of the MATDYMO (Multi-Agent for Traffic Simulation with Vehicle Dynamic Model) were proposed. MATDYMO consists of the road management system, the vehicle motion control system, the driver management system, and the integration control system. Among these systems, the road management system and the integration control system were discussed In the companion paper. In this paper, the vehicle motion control system and the driver management system are discussed. The driver management system constructs the driver agent capable of having different driving styles ranging from slow and careful driving to fast and aggressive driving through the yielding index and passing index. According to these indices, the agents pass or yield their lane for other vehicles; the driver management system constructs the vehicle agents capable of representing the physical vehicle itself. A vehicle agent shows its behavior according to its dynamic characteristics. The vehicle agent contains the nonlinear subcomponents of engine, torque converter, automatic transmission, and wheels. The simulation is conducted for an interrupted flow model and its results are verified by comparison with the results from a commercial software, TRANSYT-7F. The interrupted flow model simulation is implemented for three cases. The first case analyzes the agents' behaviors in the interrupted flow model and it confirms that the agent's behavior could characterize the diversity of human behavior and vehicle well through every rule and communication frameworks. The second case analyzes the traffic signals changed at different intervals and as the acceleration rate changed. The third case analyzes the effects of the traffic signals and traffic volume. The results of these analyses showed that the change of the traffic state was closely related with the vehicle acceleration rate, traffic volume, and the traffic signal interval between intersections. These simulations confirmed that MATDYMO can represent the real traffic condition of the interrupted flow model. At the current stage of development, MATDYMO shows great promise and has significant implications on future traffic state forecasting research.

In this paper, we propose an agent model for Language-Driven Zero-Shot Object Navigation (L-ZSON) tasks, which takes in a freeform language description of an unseen target object and navigates to find out the target object in an inexperienced environment. In general, an L-ZSON agent should able to visually ground the target object by understanding the freeform language description of it and recognizing the corresponding visual object in camera images. Moreover, the L-ZSON agent should be also able to build a rich spatial context map over the unknown environment and decide efficient exploration actions based on the map until the target object is present in the field of view. To address these challenging issues, we proposes AML (Agent Model for L-ZSON), a novel L-ZSON agent model to make effective use of AI foundation models such as Large Language Model (LLM) and Vision-Language model (VLM). In order to tackle the visual grounding issue of the target object description, our agent model employs GLEE, a VLM pretrained for locating and identifying arbitrary objects in images and videos in the open world scenario. To meet the exploration policy issue, the proposed agent model leverages the commonsense knowledge of LLM to make sequential navigational decisions. By conducting various quantitative and qualitative experiments with RoboTHOR, the 3D simulation platform and PASTURE, the L-ZSON benchmark dataset, we show the superior performance of the proposed agent model.
Medical domain is very applicable for multi-agent system because medical information systems need much knowledge and close relationship with medical staff, In this paper, we describe design and implementation of an intelligent medical multi-agent platform that provides medical images'information services. This platform supports a physical environment that medical agents can be deployed following FIPA(Foundation for Intelligent Physical Agent)\`s agent management reference model. To use a variety of components on Windows, COM(Common Object Model) interfaces and XML(extensible Markup Language) for encoding ACL(Agent Communication Language) are used for multi-agent communications. Since many kinds of diverse and close relationships with medical staff) are essential, a medical staff is conceptualized as an agent and integrated with multi-agent systems. Also it provides an infrastructure applicable to share necessary knowledge between human agents and software agents in order to make intelligent medical information services easier.

Availability is one of the important factor for developing weapon system, because it indicates the mission capability and sustainable life cycle management of weapon system. Recently, as weapon system becomes more advanced and more complex, availability estimation becomes more important to reduce the life cycle cost of weapon system. Modeling and simulation(M&S) is useful method to describe the availability of complex weapon system applying operational environment and maintenance plan. Especially agent based model(ABM) has the strength to describe interactions between agents and environments in complex system. Therefore, this paper presents the availability estimation of weapon system using agent based model. The sample data of part list and reliability analysis is applied to build availability estimation model. User agent and mechanic agent are developed to illustrate the behavior of operation and maintenance using formal specification. Storage reliability is applied to describe failure of each parts. The experimental result shows that this model is quite useful to estimate availability of weapon system. This model may estimate more reasonable availability, if full scale data of weapon system and real field data of operation is provided.

The rapid increase of E-commerce market requires a solution to assist the buyer to find his or her interested items. The intelligent agent model is one of the approaches to help the buyers in purchasing items in outline market. In this paper, the user query processing model in the item recommendation agent is proposed. In the proposed model, the retrieval result is affected by the automatically generated queries from user preference information as well as the queries explicitly given by user. Therefore, the proposed model can provide the customized search results to each user.
This paper describe design and implementation of a medical multi-agent system platform called MAMI (Multi-Agent system for Medical Image), which provides intelligent medical information services. The most important component of MAMI is a medical multi-agent system platform that supports a physical environment that medical agents can be deployed. MAMI follows FIPA (Foundation for Intelligent Physical Agent)\`s agent management reference model. In MAMI, COM(Common Object Model) and XML (eXtensibel Markup Language) for encoding ACL (Agent Communication Language) are used for multi-agent communications. In MAMI, a medical staff is conceptualized as an agent and integrated with multi-agent systems. MAMI agent platform provides an infrastructure applicable to share necessary knowledge between human agents and software agents. So MAMI makes intelligent medical information services easier.

One of challengeable problems of multi-agent systems is a positioning control. Augmented Cucker-Smale model is using for controlling position and velocity of the multi-agent system. The original model applies same coefficients to all agents in same group, so that does not consider characteristic of each agent. To enhance performance of the original model, this paper transforms original coefficients to Mahalanobis distance coefficients that reflects an initial distribution of multi-agent systems and applies statistical degrees of freedom. This paper not only confirms tendency of enhanced performance of the suggested model by using monte-carlo simulation, but also additionally compares trajectory of the original model with the suggested model to confirm coefficients of Mahalanobis distance performing correctly.
