The aim of this study was to examine determinants of secondhand Bulk carrier and Oil tanker prices. This study compiled S& P transaction data taken from the Clarksons Research during J anuary 2018 to April 2022 to see how independent variables influenced secondhand ship prices. In the secondhand ship pricing model of entire segments, size, age, and LIBOR showed significant effects on prices. A vessel built in J apan and Korea was traded at a higher price than a vessel built in other countries. In the bulk segment, size, age, Clarksea index, LIBOR, and inflation were meaningful variables. In the Tanker segment, unlike Bulk carrier, only size and age were useful variables. This study performed regression analyses for various sizes of Bulk carriers and Oil tankers. It verified that impacts of variables other than ship size and age were significantly associated with ship type and size while macroeconomic variables had no influence except for bulk carriers. By applying diverse variables affecting secondhand ship price estimation according to various sizes of Bulk carriers and Oil tankers, this study will expand the scope of practical application for investors. It also reaffirms prior research findings that the secondhand ship market is primarily market-driven.
The exact estimation of physical growth by Obesity level has important meaning to the health care and evaluation on adolescent girls. So this study tried to clear the relationship between weight and body fat by using data for the height, weight of 124 elementary school children and high school student in Seoul. Then this study tried to show the physical growth pattern and various characteristics by Obesity level by using longitudinal for the height, weight of 1113 high school students in Seoul, and it also tried to show what influencing factors on the physical growth of this aged population. The result could be summarized as follows. 1. The relationship between weight and body fat(%) has 0.81475(r) at age 9 and 0.69361(r) at age 18. Also the relationship between weight and lean body muscle(LBM %) has -0.81470(r) at age 9 and -0.64729(r) at age 18. 2. The weakness, normal and obesity groups were classified by Obesity level. In case of weakness group showed the very low Obesity level at age 8 to 11, in case of obesity group showed the high Obesity level at age 15 to 18. Also Rohrer index was decreasing tendency up to age 12 in weakness group and increasing tendency over age 14 in obesity group. 3. When the height and weight growth pattern was compared, height growth was superior to weight growth at age 9 to 14.5 in normal group. But weight growth was inferior to height growth at age 9 to 14.5 in normal group. In obesity group, weight growth was superior to height growth at age 7 to 18. On the other hand the height growth of weakness group was superior to the normal group and the obesity group except age 11 to 12. 4. On height velocity curve by PHV age obesity group showed the most growth amount per year(9.00Cm/yr), and the next is normal group(8.77Cm/yr), weakness group(8.70Cm/yr). Then the difference between PHV age and PWV age was within 1 year in these three groups. 5. In these three groups, height velocity curve by menarcheal age showed the PHV before 2~3 years of menarcheal age. And weight velocity curve by menarcheal age showed the remarkable PWV before 1 year of menarcheal age.

This study aims to estimate the forest volumes of the upper region of Nam-Han River in ecosystem zoning by forest types and age classes, and to suggest the optimal estimation method through the comparison of the standard errors according to the spatial unit. In the estimation of forest volumes, we used both of direct estimation, which uses sample plots of the target area only, and synthetic estimation, which includes sample plots of the expanded areas as well as those of the target area. As for the spatial expansion, we applied four standards for synthetic estimator: Mountainous zone, Neighbor ecosystem region, Gangwon province, and Buffer zone. The results show that average forest volume per ha, calculated by direct estimation, was $143.5m^3/ha$, while that by synthetic estimation with each standard, was estimated at $146.9m^3/ha$ by Gangwon province, $144.8m^3/ha$ by Buffer zone, $139.8m^3/ha$ by Neighbor ecosystem region, and $138.6m^3/ha$ by Mountainous zone, respectively. The standard errors of direct estimation was $1.79m^3/ha$, while those of synthetic estimation showed not a great difference among the errors. Meanwhile, considering the standard errors by forest type, the lowest was ${\pm}2.3m^3/ha$ of broad-leaved forest, followed by ${\pm}3.3m^3/ha$ of mixed forest, and ${\pm}4.8m^3/ha$ of coniferous forest.
In order to study the closure stage of cranial sutures and its correlations with age, the ectocranial closure stage of coronal suture, sagittal suture, and lambdoidal suture of 67 skulls was measured. Among the skulls kept at the department of anatomy, college of medicine, Yonsei University, the ones with ages identified were used for this study. These measurements of suture closure were conducted by 4 examiners independently. The sutures were further divided by Frederic's method into 16 suture parts. The closure stages were classified by five stages of Broca-Ribbe. The following results were obtained: 1. The inter-observer reliability among 4 examiners showed high intraclass correlation coefficient of over 0.75(mean : 0.856) in all suture parts. Therefore, the determination of closure stage wasn't influenced by the subjective view of each examiner. 2. In all suture parts, the closure stage increased proportionally with age.(p<0.01) In terms of each suture part, the S2 part of sagittal suture showed the highest correlation(68.1%) while the L1-R part of lambdoidal suture showed the lowest correlation(51.3%). In addition, in terms of suture types, the correlation with age decreased in the order of sagittal suture(60.0%), coronal suture(57.7%), and lambdoidal suture (55.7%). In general, the average value of suture closure stages had 57.8% correlation with age(p<0.01). 3. The most frequent suture closure stage according to age group was '0' for ages below 30, '0' and '1' for ages within the 30's, '1' and '2' for ages within the 40's, and '2' for ages within the 50's. With older age groups, the frequency of '3' and '4' increased, and the suture closure stage increased proportionally with age. 4. The mean age by closure stage of each suture were within the 40's for the closure stage of '1', within the 50's for the closure stage of '2', and from 50's through 60's for the closure stage of '3'. The standard deviation was over 10 for all closure stages. In addition, at the same suture closure stage, the mean age according to the coronal suture was higher than the ages according to the sagittal suture or lambdoidal suture. Especially, C1-R, C1-L, C2-R, and C2-L parts showed the highest age when at the same suture closure stage. 5. The values appropriate for age estimations using suture closure stages of 16 suture parts were calculated, and a calculator for age estimation ($R^2=0.6944$, p<0.01) by ectocranial suture closure stage for Koreans is presented. From the above results, the method of using the closure stage of sutures of the skull to estimate age can be useful in individual identification of forensic science. Further extensive and accurate research using larger samples would be worthy of study.
The objectives of this study were to quantify the combination values of the principal components and factors calculated using body measurements of Hanwoo (Korean Cattle) and estimate their heritabilities. The technique of multivariate analysis was used to reduce a large number of variables to a smaller number of new variables and characterize cattle according to body shape. The analyses were performed using 1,979 cattle at 12 months of age and 936 cattle at 24 months of age. The data for the analyses was obtained from progeny tests performed on Korean Cattle for 6 years from 2003 to 2008. The phenotypic correlations among these traits were estimated to range from 0.32 to 0.90 at 12 months of age and from 0.21 to 0.82 at 24 months of age. The first principal components (PC1s) indicated a weighed average of overall body measurements, accounting for 99.91% of the total variation for both periods of test. The two first PCs had positive coefficients for all body measurements. The major sources of PC, such as chest girth (CG), body length (BL), rump height (RH), and wither height (WH) were similar for both test periods. The heritabilities for PC1, the first factor score (FS1), and the second factor score (FS2) were estimated by multivariate REML method. The estimated heritabilities for PC1, FS1, and FS2 were 0.33, 0.38, and 0.40, respectively, at 12 months of age and 0.26, 0.76, and 0.58 at 24 months of age. Further studies are needed to determine whether the heritabilities of FS1 and FS2 at 24 months of age were overestimated.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the value of the center of age-friendly goods to confirm the public value of the center. 152 elderly participants, either who have utilized the center themselves or who have experienced the center indirectly through the image have participated in the study. The experience of age-friendly product center was evaluated by the contingent valuation method, which is widely used in the public services. A double-bounded dichotomous choice (DB-DC) log-logistic model and a log-normal model were conducted. As the result of the estimation, the truncated mean of the log-logistic model was 3,401 Korean won, with the mean of 4,937 won. In addition, the truncated mean of the log-normal model was 3,433 won, with the mean of 4,144 won. Elderly who have not experienced the center placed a higher value on the center, compared to the experienced elderly. The results imply the necessity to enlarge the opportunity for future suppliers to experience the center for age-friendly products, in order to improve their objective understandings. In addition, the necessity of expanding exhibition products and applying age-friendly designs is proposed, to offer various attractive experiences to elderly.
The purposes of this investigation were to determine the validity of various methods (available anthropometric equations and near-infrared light interactance) for estimating body fat and to develop multiple regression equations for the prediction of body fat. Thirty-eight healthy males(age: 20.87$\pm$7.17 yrs) and 12 females(19.58$\pm$2.19 yrs) underwent hydrostatic weighing to determine body fat. Anthropometric measurements were taken of height, weight, nin skinfolds and thirteen circumferences. The results obtained are summarized as follows: 1) Relative body fat determined by underwater weighing was 12.08$\pm$5.21% for the males and 17.97$\pm$5.75% for the females. 2) Circumference and skin fold that had the highest correlation with the body fat were waist girth in males and females(r=0.60, r=0.96, respectively), and subscapular in males(r=0.68) and triceps in females(r=0.96). 3) Corss-validation of 18 selected equations on males revealed total errors ranging from 3.76% to 5.06%. Among these equations, M3(Pollock et al.) demonstrated the least total error. Total error of estimation by near-infrared(NIR) was less than that of available anthropometric measurement equations. The results of the cross-validation of 12 equations on females revealed that F3(Sloan et al.) was clearly superior in accuracy of prediction. 4) Correlational analyses showed that estimation of body fat by NIR measurement seemed to be more closely associated with body fat determined by underwater weighing in women than men, in older subjects than younger ones, and in fatter subjects than leaner ones.
This paper is to determine the clothing and footwear of urban household consumption expenditures and an analysis of historical data from relevant literature. Particularly, time-series and cross sectional analysis techniques are adopted in analysing the patterns of clothing and footwear consumption expenditures of urban households. Finally, this paper estimates consumption expenditures in the future by comparing these revealed data with the Korea and Japan. Annual Report on the family Income and Expenditure Survey and M.R.A. in S.P.S.S. were used. The results can be summarized as follows: 1. The proportion of the clothing and footwear expenditure has decreased with the increase of income in urban household during 1976-1987. 2.1) Household consumption function by Income group, the Lower group is higher than the other group. 2) Household consumption function by Occupation of household head. Income elasticity estimation in administrative managerial workers is higher than the other group. 3) Household consumption function by Family size. Income elasticity estimation in 6 Persons is higher than the other group. But 4 Persons is higher in 1986. 4) Household consumption function by Age of household head. Income elasticity estimation in 50 Years and over is higher than the other group. 3. Comparison of characteristics of clothing and footwear consumption expenditures in Korea and Japan were M.R.A. Generally, the priority correlation order for Korea is Outwear, Sweaters and Shirt, Other clothing. For Japan, the order is Sweaters and Shirts, Underwear, Services.
Many bulk carrier losses have been reported of late, and one of the possible causes of such casualties is thought to be the structural failure of aging hulls in rough weather. Clearly, in such cases, vessels that start out belong adequate somehow become marginal later in life. Fatigue and corrosion related potential problems may be the most important factors affecting such age related vessel damage. With respect to fatigue, extensive studies have been done worldwide both experimentally and theoretically, and the results have been applied to some extent. However, in the case of corrosion effects, additional research is still needed to better understand, clarify and address the various strength uncertainties and their effects on structural behavior. This paper develops a probabilistic corrosion rate estimation model for the longitudinal strength members of bulk carriers. The model is based on available statistical data for corrosion of existing bulk carriers. The corrosion data collected are documented for future use.

The cost of producing ready mixed concrete(remicon) has increased due to the rising cost of raw materials for concrete and transportation caused by the upturn of oil price. In contrast, its orders have also decreased due to the recession of the construction industry. In addition, the cost of delivery has decreased owing to the excessive competition among manufacturing companies, so manufacturing companies began mixing ground granulated blast-furnace slag or fly ash to lower the cost. However, there is no way to determine whether the strength of the concrete using the admixture is satisfied or dissatisfied with design strength at the early age. The purpose of this study is dedicated to early strength estimation of concrete mixed with an admixture, ground granulated blast-furnace slag.
