Objectives: This study aims to assess the stages of individual readiness to take the cancer screening test and to identify factors relating to the progress of their readiness to take the test. Methods: We analyzed the data acquired from our 'Cancer Screening Behavior among Korean Adults' Survey' in 2003. 1,057 participants' stages of readiness to take the cancer screening test were classified through the Precaution Adoption Process Model (PAPM). Their knowledge, beliefs and other factors related to cancer screening were examined at each PAPM stage through the Health Belief Model (HBM), and the various PAPM stages were compared with each other to identify factors likely to determine progress between stages. Results: The distribution of the PAPM stages of readiness for cancer screening was as follows: 18.9% were unaware; 9.7% were unengaged; 29.8% were deciding to take the test; 1.5% decided not to take the test; 11.6% decided to take the test, while 28.6% had taken the test. The factors likely to determine progress from one to another stage were 'Knowledge', 'Perceived susceptibility', 'Perceived benefits', 'Perceived barriers' and 'Family member's experience of cancer screening'. Conclusions: This study can be used to develop health promotion programs that enhance cancer screening behavior in Korea.
Background: It has been proven that an individuals health behavior is determined through a series of processes. This study aimed to assess the stages of adoption of breast cancer screening, and to identify the factors relating to progress through these stages. Materials and Methods: There were 202 female participants aged 20-59 years who were living in Chungbuk, South Korea. They were informed of the study purpose and agreed to participate. Data were collected from October 2010 to January 2011 by assessing the breast cancer screening stage, health beliefs, socio-demographic factors, and other facilitating factors. The participant current stage of adoption of breast cancer screening was classified using the Precaution Adoption Process Model (PAPM), and the various PAPM stages were compared with each other to identify factors likely to determine progress between stages. The data were analyzed using the ${\chi}^2$-test, ANOVA, Duncan test, and multiple logistic regression. Results: Approximately half of all participants were not on-schedule for breast self-examination and mammography (unaware, 9.4% and 11.4%, unengaged, 8.4% and 5.0%, undecided, 20.3% and 17.8%, decided not to act, 1.5% and 1.0%, decided to act, 13.4% and 15.3%, respectively). The factors likely to determine the progress from one stage to another were age, marital status, exposure to media information about breast cancer, self-efficacy, and perceived severity. Conclusions: These results suggest that it is necessary to develop a tailored message for breast cancer screening behavior.

This study analyzed the diffusion process of digital convergence products focused on camera phon to compare the traditional adoption-diffusion model with use-diffusion model proposed by Shih and Venkatesh(2004). The results suggested that observability, perceived usefulness, innovativeness, relative advantage have effects on the intention of repurchase in the adoption-diffusion model. On the other hand, the intention of repurchase has been affected by technological sophistication, satisfaction, innovativeness, relative advantage in the use-diffusion model. These results imply that the traditional adoption-diffusion model could be applied to the cases of the digital convergence products. In addition, the results also show that the use-diffusion model is superior to the traditional model in analyzing the diffusion of digital convergence products.

Mobile Learning (M-learning) adoption and success in supporting students' learning engagement mainly depend on many factors. Therefore, this study systematically reviews the literature, synthesizes and analyzes the predictors of M-learning adoption, and uses success for students' learning engagement. Literature from 2016 to 2023 in various databases is covered in this study. Based on the review's findings, the factors that influence students' learning engagement when it comes to M-learning usage and adoption, can be divided into technical, pedagogical, and social factors. More specifically, technical factors include mobile devices availability and quality, connectivity to the internet, and user-friendly interfaces, pedagogical factors include effective instructional design, teaching methods, and assessment strategies, and social factors include motivation of students, social interaction and perceived enjoyment - all these factors have a significant impact on the M-learning adoption and use success. The findings of the review also indicated that M-learning has a key role in enhancing the learning engagement of students through different ways, like increasing their motivation, attention, and participation in their process of learning, paving the way for interaction and building relationships opportunities with peers and instructors, which in turn, can lead to strengthening the learning environment. The implications of these findings extend beyond immediate educational contexts, offering vital insights for future educational technology strategies and policy decisions, particularly in addressing global educational challenges and embracing technological advancements in learning.
Recently, ERP system is used as a important tool of management innovation for enterprise's survival and development. It is very important to recognize how much influence to organizational performance through ERP system implementation. The purpose of this study is to find out the impact of environmental, organizational, information systems characteristics on successful implementation of ERP systems in Korean SMEs(Small and Medium Enterprises). From previous researches on ERP adoption and implementation, 7 independent variables (competitiveness, government support, top management support, process innovation, project management, IS maturity, and ERP customizing), and 1 dependent variables (successful implementation of ERP systems) are identified. 3 questionnaires were removed from the study because of missing or inappropriate responses, and final samples are 91 SMEs. The results of hypothesis testing show that determinants of successful implementation of ERP systems are top management support and IS maturity. Five variables such as competitiveness, government support, process innovation, project management, and ERP customizing do not significantly influence to successful implementation of ERP systems. The contribution of this study is that it provides an empirical evidence of the causal relationship between ERP adoption factor and ERP success. This study showed that top management support and IS maturity are essential to accomplish successful ERP implementation for SMEs.

The paper introduces a model for evaluating and prioritizing mobile quality attributes and refactoring techniques through the examination of their effectiveness during the mobile application development process. The astonishing evolution of software and hardware has increased the demand for techniques and best practices to overcome the many challenges related to mobile devices, such as those concerning device storage, network bandwidth, and energy consumption. A number of studies have investigated the influence of refactoring, leading to the enhancement of mobile applications and the overcoming of code issues as well as hardware issues. Furthermore, rapid and continuous mobile developments make it necessary for teams to apply effective techniques to produce reliable mobile applications and reduce time to market. Thus, we investigated the influence of various refactoring techniques on mobile applications to understand their effectiveness in terms of quality attributes. First, we extracted the most important mobile refactoring techniques and a set of quality attributes from the literature. Then, mobile application developers from nine mobile application teams were recruited to evaluate and prioritize these quality attributes and refactoring techniques for their projects. A prioritization-based model is examined that integrates the lightweight multi-criteria decision making method, called the best-worst method, with the process of refactoring within mobile applications. The results prove the applicability and suitability of adopting the model for the mobile development process in order to expedite application production while using well-defined procedures to select the best refactoring techniques. Finally, a variety of quality attributes are shown to be influenced by the adoption of various refactoring techniques.
This study conducted qualitative research through in-depth interviews on the diffusion process of Korean food in accordance with the length of residence of Chinese students in Korea. As the analysis method, the qualitative analysis method such as NVivo12.0 was used, and the analysis was performed through word frequency, word cloud, and coding matrix. The images of taste of Korean food were revealed as 'Spicy', 'Sweet', and 'Light taste' by both short-term Chinese residents and long-term Chinese residents. The long-term Chinese residents showed their dissatisfaction with the institutional food, and they also pointed out the importance of the matter of cooking for quick adaptation to life in Korea. The long-term Chinese residents also thought of Korean food as 'High-fiber food', and this was influenced by the 'Less-oil' cooking method of Korean food, which is different from the cooking method of Chinese food. The length of residence was used as a main variable of this study, and it was one of the factors having positive effects on the diffusion of Korean food and acculturation. It would be difficult to generalize the results because this study used the convenience sampling method and snowball sampling.
It is now widely recognized that new Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) have been changing the way tv which firms conduct their businesses. Examples are the application of enterprise resources planning (ERP) and business process reengineering (BPR) to increase the efficiency of internal resources management, adoption of Business-to-Business e-commerce (B2B e-com) to integrate supply chain, and invention of new marketing channels such as Business-to-Customer (B2C) e-com. These new ways of conducting businesses are believed to help firms to reduce transaction costs and increase productivity. As a result, new ICTs have played an important role in recent growth of many small firms into multi-functional and multi-product corporations and in their spatial expansion towards internationalization as well. This paper takes Haier in China as a case to study the role of new ICTs in the growth of firms and reveal how the new technologies have facilitated the expansion of Haier into a transnational corporation (TNC) by examining the internationalization process of the firm in relation to its adoption of new ICTs in the period from 1990 to 2002. The study reveals that the adoption of new Ins has helped Haier to integrate its functional units located in dozens of places across the world, which is essential to the internationalization of a firm, and to link closely together its worldwide suppliers and customers to achieve just-in-time (JIT) production and delivery. As such, the authors of the paper argue that, without the facilitation of new ICTS, Haier could not have developed into a TNC in less than ten years. It is now widely recognized that new Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) have been changing the way tv which firms conduct their businesses. This study investigates the perceptions, Stages of Concern (SoC), and Levels of Use (LoU) regarding process-based assessment among Home Economics (HE) teachers to determine the necessary support for its implementation in schools. Data were gathered from a survey administered to HE teachers. The results are as follows. First, HE teachers viewed process-based assessment favorably, valuing its multifaceted evaluation approach over result-based assessment. The feedback from process-based assessments was seen as an opportunity for reflection for both educators and students. While some teachers expressed uncertainty about the optimal timing of implementation, they generally demonstrated a sound understanding of the feedback concept within the assessment process. HE teachers were predominantly concerned with their own professional expertise and the learning outcomes of their students. The majority of HE teachers have utilized process-based assessments for at least one semester. None deemed it irrelevant to their practice or showed disinterest in its adoption. Those who had yet to implement it were either in the first(introduction) or the second(preparation) stages.
Objective : This research is focused on understanding the current status of the Health Smart Card already in use in other advanced countries. This research will analyze the current status of the medical institutions Health Smart Card system adoption process and its effects, and provide a basis for future policy decisions for the effective adoption and diffusion of a Health Smart Card system, in the medical field, through the completed research and analysis. The research also presents up-to-date methodology for the evaluation of the effects of medical and health care technology. The research also conducts a survey of the domestic medical institutions that have implemented a Health Smart Card system, and then analyzes the results of the survey. Additionally, the research carried out a survey and analysis of medical institutions with no Health Smart Card system implemented, and considered the factors affecting the diffusion of Health Smart Card systems in considering an effective policy for the introduction and diffusion of such a system. Research Results : Through the study of the methodology of medical and health care information technology in advanced countries, the methodology for assessing Health Smart Card technology has been established, and focuses on 6 aspects. The study on the status of foreign implementation has shown a model for the Health Smart Card system. A survey was conducted on the current status of medical institutions with an implemented Health Smart Card system, and the survey results have been analyzed. Also, factors influencing the adoption of Health Smart Card systems have been analyzed through the survey on those medical institutions that have not implemented a Health Smart Card system. Conclusion : The government must provide institutional measures for sharing medical records by constructing an IT infrastructure at the national level to enable the adoption and diffusion of a Health Smart Card system. Such a network will make connections between medical institutions possible, thus making the diffusion of the Health Smart Card system nationwide. For the successful adoption and diffusion of a Health Smart Card system, a model system development, under a medical record sharing system, should be conducted. Additionally, a regional unit based model should be developed for the model project, as is done in advanced countries, along with the application of such results.
